Successful brand positioning requires understanding that premium pricing must be justified by perceived value and quality, not just brand association; simply attaching a logo to basic products without adding genuine value or quality fails to create consumer demand, as demonstrated by Meghan Markle's As Ever brand's struggle with its match product launch.

Meghan’s New As Ever Product FAILS To Spark 🔥 — Harry & Meghan ERASED From Frogmore CottageAdded:
So, Megan Markle is trying to light a fire. She is trying to light a fire and get a spark under her as ever brand with her latest product, Drop. The problem is it is looking less like a roaring flame and more like a Dollar Tree birthday candle struggling in the wind.
Meanwhile, across the pond, Harry and Megan are being slowly erased from Fragmore Cottage and some would say royal life all together. And the timing honestly could not be more symbolic.
Because while Megan is busy selling curated monoscto lifestyle fantasy, one matchbook at a time, the Sussex Royal chapter appears to be poof going up in smoke.
You guys, we have a lot of juicy Royal Daily Tea to get through today. So, you know what to do. Sit back and relax. Go grab yourself a beverage and let's get into the Royal Daily Tea.
So Megan Markle took to the gram and she made a huge announcement talking about a little spark is arriving tomorrow. Wink wink. Cuz we all know Miss Megan loves a pun. So you look at the photo and you say, "Okay, there's a beautiful vase with some pretty flowers. You see a candle. You see a teapot. And what do I spy with my little eyes? Something new and something blue. Oh, look. It's matches. Oh, the excitement bubbles up.
Now, we all know that matches obviously were going to be the product that was going to launch today because Megsy loves a little pun, a little spark, a little fire, and of course, matches. But surely surely there's a little bit more to the product launch than a box of matches. But then again, if that's what you thought, you would be mistaken because we are talking about Megan Markle. That's right. Megan Markle dropped a brand new product matches.
Literally, that was it. This is just like her stupid bookmark. It's matches.
Now, Megan has made this really weird mistake, this really weird assumption.
She thinks that As ever is a sought after brand that you just stamp As ever on anything and people will go out and buy it like Chanel or Prada or Tiffany or Juicy Couture or BB. It's not. Megan Markle is a private label novelty gimmicky brand at best. Megan is stuck in the early 2000s where everybody was wearing those logo branded items, you know, Juicy Couture on the butt of their tracksuits. So Megan has gotten really excited with the prospect of just stamping her logo and stamping as ever on any product because she has gone overboard. In my personal opinion, it looks chintzy. Okay, if you wouldn't have paired it with the candles, I would have thought it was a bunch of Q-tips.
It looks like Q-tips. Now, here's the interesting thing. You would have thought if Megan Markle was coming out with matches, branded matches that perhaps it would be like a lighter with her logo on it, something that people can keep longterm, right? A rechargeable lighter with her brand on it would have been a nice touch with the candles. Even something like this would have been a classy touch with her candles. but instead we're getting the cheap throwaway matches. So Megan announced today when she launched the product, introducing our brand new curated sets featuring the limited edition as ever matches. Small details for setting the mood. Thoughtfully designed for slow mornings, quiet evenings, and the moments in between. now available on as ever.com.
Again, limited edition. Again, it's just private label. There's nothing special.
I believe people already found this on Alibaba. Why Megan Markle does this, again, nobody knows. Now, when you go to her website, you will see that she actually does not sell the matches individually. I think there might be some legalities there. if you're going to sell matches. So, that could be why she didn't invest in highbrow lighters.
She's just doing cheap little novelty uh looks like dollar store matches with her logo on it, but instead she's adding it to kits. So, you can get the morning ritual, a bright start to begin your day for $110.
And of course, now she's adding in the matches. Then you could get the four signature candles for a very bargain price of $256.
And of course, you get the matches again, the garden duo, fresh floral scents to brighten any day, $128 with the matches. Then you get the evening ritual, a simple moment for winding down for $110.
So again, we're not really sure what the hoopla was here surrounding this new brand, but a lot of people are finding it hysterical that she makes this huge announcement for matches. And this is just like Megan Markle when she did for the uh bookmark there. But again, in my personal opinion, she should have taken it a step further, perhaps invested in higher quality, lighter, something that was more of a keepsake than throwaway temporary matches. The price points are still very, very expensive. There's no sale, and she's not selling them individually. So, this does arise with many questions. People were calling this a joke. Is this a parody? and they were comparing it to Oh yes, sell matches to go perfectly with her wickless candles.
So again, I would say it was another flat bomb in my personal opinion. I do believe that Megan is struggling to move her merch and people are just not excited. Her as ever brand is not sparking interest. It's not igniting sales. Again, Megan Markle missed the opportunity to have a sale on her website for Memorial Day weekend. So, in my personal opinion, this was another bomb. So, a news article came out this week that Megan Markle and Prince Harry's former home in the UK is slated for a reverse of the $3 million renovations, pretty much erasing the touches that Megan and Harry made to Frogmore Cottage. Now, plans to undo the multi-million dollar renovation of Megan Markle and Prince Harry's former home in the UK are reportedly in the works. Now, this was reported on by the Sun, so take that with a grain of salt. Now, according to the Sun, they want to reverse the roughly $3 million worth of renovations that were made to the Frogmore Cottage. Now, the makeover was initially paid for by the sovereign grant. This is the British government's taxpayerfueled fund that covers royal activities. Now, apparently, this was repaid by Prince Harry and Megan Markle when they stepped back as working royals in 2020, but a lot of people think that King Charles might have footed the bill, but again, we don't have 100% proof on that.
Now, according to the Sun, there are several options that are being reviewed in regards to what they should do with the house. So, the Sun article alleged that one of the ideas floating around was subdividing the property or splitting the residence. Once again, Frogmore Cottage apparently used to be two semi- detached homes before Queen Elizabeth gave it to her grandson, Prince Harry and Megan, on their wedding day as a wedding present. Now, according to them, they said, quote, "It's been empty for three years. It would draw the line under Frogmore Cottages controversial history and return it to the preharry and Megan era." The Duke and Duchess of Sussex called Frommore Cottage home from April 2019 until March 2020.
The couple officially moved in following a major renovation and shortly before the birth of their first child, son Archie 7. Now, according to royal biographer Ingred Seawward, she told People magazine that Frogmore Cottage was pretty dilapitated when they inherited it, and about 3 million was spent reimating it into a family home.
The major refurbishment included upgrades for Frogmore's heating, electrical, gas, and water main systems, plus a redesign of five dormstyle units into a five- bedroomedroom residence, and it took about 6 months to complete.
Now, a source from Buckingham Palace did tell People magazine that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex privately paid for anything movable or in the cottage gardens as they made the home their own.
All fixtures and fittings were paid for by their royal highnesses. A source at the palace said curtains, furnishings, etc., all that would be paid separately paid privately. Now, the source went on to tell People magazine that quote, "All fixtures and fittings were paid for by their royal highnesses." The source said, "Curtains and furnishings, all that would be paid separately, paid privately." that Prince Harry and Megan Markle also paid for anything that was deemed too expensive for the public to provide, such as the upgraded kitchen, bathroom, fitted wardrobes, or the flooring. The Sun alleged that the overhaul also included a $6,000 copper bathtub, decor by a Soho House designer, and vegan paint. Now again, that is speculation and of course it included a yoga room that was also debunked. So what do you guys think of the fact that they might be renovating Frogmore Cottage again and pretty much reversing all of the upgrades that Harry and Megan made. In my personal opinion, I do believe that would be a waste. But let me know your thoughts in the comments if you believe this story in the sun that they are going to split the home from one into two and pretty much erase any evidence of Prince Harry and Megan Markle in Frogmore Cottage. Leave me your comments, guys, down below. As always, I appreciate each and every one of you, and I hope to see y'all in the next video. Bye, guys.
