WHAT AN INSANE REVEAL! | Flutterina | She-Ra and the Princesses of Power 4x3 | Reaction/Analysis
Added:Pretty cool trick, huh?
>> I'm going to have a breakdown this season if they keep doing this to me.
[music] Hello gals, bloss, and all other folks.
My name is Morius and welcome back to Warrior Princess Wednesdays. That's what I'm sticking with now, right? Who knows?
Today we are here with season 4, chapter 3. Nope, episode 3. I know how the naming structure of this show works.
Floodina. I am hoping that [clears throat] this is going to be that little fairy person that we are seeing down in the bottom right of the new and updated intro. [music] This season's been great so far. I enjoyed episode 1 a bit more than episode 2, but episode 2 still had some really great character moments. I love how in a sort of ensemble based show, like it's so easy for a show to start with, or it's not really ensemble based, which makes what I'm about to say actually more impressive. I love the way that there's so many characters and even in these late seasons, it doesn't feel like they're getting completely shoved to the side for the sake of the main characters. We are still getting characters like Perfuma getting fullon arcs and character developments and struggles of their own all the way into season 4. And that's just a sign of really good character writing. This show, I knew it was going to be good, but this show like from a quality standpoint is so much better than I thought it was going to be. And from what I've heard, each season steps it up from the last. So far, the first two episodes of season 4 have not gotten me as much as the highs of season 2 and three, but of course, wow, that was a beautiful voice. Of course, of course, we've got a lot of season left, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it ramps up from here. Starting right now with season 4, episode 3.
[laughter] I can't Well, this might answer that. I was about to say I can't tell if she just looks so different without her get up or if that was younger, but if she's having a nightmare about her in that outfit. Clearly, she really looked younger in this shot. I thought it was a flashback.
>> Okay, so she's having nightmares about what the portal. I guess >> we are opening that portal.
>> Does she feel guilt about this?
>> What did you do to me?
What did you do to me? Followed by a flashing to Adora is crazy. Someone get the hoard of therapy [music] plan, please. Dear God, >> get her out of here.
>> This is bad.
Flashing up to Entraa. What did you do to me then? Adora.
[screaming] >> Jeez.
How you doing, sweetie? Oh, hi Emily.
>> Stay away from me.
>> She scratched Emily.
That's messed up. You can't do that.
>> Oh my goodness.
Ooh, little gremlin boy. I always hate you so much. And I feel like that's unfair.
>> Was this your doing? Interrupter.
>> Intr.
Well, >> now you're just rage baiting to them.
>> The rebels managed to capture one of our bots.
>> Not to speak ill of the dearly departed, but exactly how many battles have your bots lost us lately?
>> Catra, you're pushing it too far. You're going to get reverse couped right back.
>> Clock's ticking. Big Brother Prime could show up at any moment. Even you, Catra, should fear.
>> Yes, correct.
>> My presence.
>> Pretty cool trick, huh?
>> I'm going to have a breakdown this season if they keep doing this to me. I CAN'T. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO properly react and analyze for this show when I can't trust my own eyes?
Completely like >> I'd like to introduce you to Double Trouble.
>> Apologies for being rude. I was getting into character, >> dear.
>> Did it work? Be honest. As always, I'm open to constructive critic.
>> I believed it.
>> So, what's all this about?
The bots were a part of the occupation of Alberon, a failed operation. The rebels seized the >> Alberon. Do we know that name or is that a new name?
>> If that's a name we should know, my memory is failing me and I apologize.
[music] >> It seems their technological capabilities have increased since since Entra [music] returned to them. It is of no consequence.
>> So Entra's not on Beast Island. I will improve our machines and we will seize Elberon back.
>> See, you're thinking about this wrong.
Elberon doesn't matter. It's what it can do for us that counts.
>> So then you still want to take it over.
I'm so tired of her BS that I'm yawning apparently.
>> And what do you propose?
>> Oh god. What are you? What >> is double going to become trapped?
>> Turned her sword into a giant spear to hit more bots.
>> Glam oil slick arrow to slip them up and then right OFF A CLIFF. THEN >> my new surge device worked perfectly.
Took out the rest of the bots in one GO AND I kicked them.
>> And you're doing so great, Swift Wind.
>> Ding. Those bots didn't stand a chance against >> Okay, it seems like she's doing better.
Well, I spoke too soon, as I do so frequently.
>> At least you'll be back soon, right?
>> Delegate.
>> Soon. Yeah.
>> The town's people love us because we saved Elberon. So, they're throwing us a celebratory dinner.
>> Swiftwind. I just said you were doing great.
>> A dinner? That sounds fun.
>> Yep. I'm sure it'll be super boring.
>> God, I don't know why that scared me. I kind of like lost my brain thinking about something adjacent to this and like coming up with a potential theory and then right as I lock back in there was like an explosion sound and I thought something awful was going TO HAPPEN. HOW DID THEY HAVE TIME TO paint a Boa Adora mural, a Swiftwind mural on the wall?
>> Listen, what's going on? Nothing. Super boring.
>> Got to go. Wish you were here.
[screaming] Oh, wait. I love this place.
Oh, I'm noticing a lot of like wings and fairyesque vibes. Is this where we're going to meet Flutterina? And is it that fairy from the intro?
>> It's a party.
>> It's a big party.
>> Our heroes. Oh, we couldn't possibly thank you enough for liberating our town.
Sorry, that took me a sec to register what you [laughter] did for Swift.
>> There you are.
>> Thank you enough for liberating our town.
>> That's funny.
>> And word got out and suddenly everyone's invited. So, here we are, >> rowdy, calling attention to ourselves.
Basically sitting target.
>> How you doing, hun? God.
Okay. DON'T LET THEM RETROFIT. DON'T LET THE CHILDREN retrofit the tank. Probably a bad idea.
>> Yes.
Oh, you have to show off your arrows to the kids. They're obsessed with them.
>> Really?
>> A [screaming] LITTLE BOW. EXCEPT YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. YOU'RE supposed to have a shirt all the way until the middrift, not only have cloth covering the mid drift. Come on, kid. Hey, [screaming] >> we've heard stories of your victories.
That's nothing compared to when Shirro took on the monsters of the Northern Reach or when she single-handedly won the Battle of Bright Moon.
>> That was not single-handedly.
>> Oh, I wouldn't say single-handedly. I mean, you fought off the Horde, you united the princesses, and you saved Athetheria.
>> I mean, that's fair.
>> The coolest.
>> You're so sweet.
>> Yeah. I mean, that was pretty cool, wasn't it?
>> One day, I'm going to leave Elberon and join the rebellion, fighting side by side with you. I'm Flutterina, [music] by the way.
>> There we go. That is Flutterina. Okay.
Is that the person from the intro? I swear she was less pink seeming. Let's see. Jump 757. Where's my intro? No, that is the same person. Never mind. I was just misremembering the vibe. So cool. I was right that Flutterina is that person. Okay.
Where am I jumping to? There we go.
This entire show is just lesbian panic.
>> Can you believe this? All of this is >> this is this is this show should just be called Lesbian Panic and Bow in the exact same format as like you know the like you know the like Sonic blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and Knuckles meme I need that but it's like Shirro the princesses of power absolute lesbian panic sappic extreme edition and bow like something like that needs to be a meme made of this >> we'll just stay for a minute and then make Hey, there's a man cake >> peak. [gasps] Incredible. That's the dream.
>> Best party ever.
Oh, Flutterina's so getting a girl crush right now.
I don't know what age anyone in this show is, and that makes things very difficult for me as a chronic shipper.
As someone who is always shipping in everything I ever watch, I need age ranges to be more clearly defined. I don't know if she's just small because of like a fairy pixie species or if she's like eight. And then Entraa and Hordack got me in trouble for a bit, but apparently Entra is like 15 years older than any other princess.
Oh, love the tangled glade. Oh, the flowers and the hair are adorable.
You're doing great.
Please show me braid and swift wind.
He's perfect.
Well, sure. Why not?
And that's the whole episode. Oh, man.
Only a 15minute recording session. I I just know things are going to go horribly wrong. I don't know what yet, but >> they've got stories about me. Not some long ago she of the past. Me >> and what I did.
>> That's such a fair point for her, though.
>> This is awesome.
>> It's the Horde.
>> Okay. And there's something another bot.
It's bigger than anything we've seen.
It's on its way here.
>> Bigger than anything we've seen.
>> Everyone stay calm. Let Shira handle this.
>> Shira.
I'm so nervous [cheering] that she's going to somehow fail against this new bot and her she's letting the praise get to her head and that overconfidence is going to cause someone in the village to be hurt.
>> After all, it's my job and I'm pretty good at it.
>> Enjoy the festivities.
>> This makes me so nervous.
>> Stay here and watch out for the town's people. There's no reason for the party to stop.
>> No. No. Oh, she's too overconfident. Oh no, she is going to her head. That's such a problem.
>> You heard the mayor. It's one bot.
>> She runs between forever.
>> Oh, you're letting it go to your head, girly. I'm so anxious right now.
>> Uh, that one's bigger than usual.
>> Yeah, that's a new one.
>> We can't handle.
>> Okay.
There's no way.
It's not that easy. There's not a chance in the world it's that easy. Piece >> the cake, huh?
Does cake selfhealing?
That's a fun development.
Oh, that has some crazy implications for the Horde's tech and means that anything done by the princesses is not going to be a permanent solution. I like that.
That's good.
Well, thank goodness it makes noise when it's reforming since they both just turned their backs to it immediately.
>> Grow back and turn into more pieces of cake when you cut it.
>> Not typically, no.
>> It didn't selfheal. It freaking wormed.
You cut it in half and it made two.
Oh, >> it's like these things replicated.
>> Be careful about how we destroy them.
>> I just thought the two sides were healing each other or healing >> sacred bond time.
>> What can you even do against that? It's replicating [music] tech. Yes, Shirro theme. I'm loving like it's really cool how the themes of these characters are somewhat subtle but still very audible. Like it's never so in yourrface like like superhero themes often are, but you still get like this like decently like right in the middle of the mix.
Like it's just it's so good.
>> So what? Just don't cut it in half and you're fine. It's not that. There's no way it's that easy.
>> Can't say I'm too impressed with Hordex's new toys.
>> Stop being overconfident.
>> A little too easy.
>> Yeah.
>> Nah. Like they said in Elberon, we're awesome.
>> Adora girl. Adora.
>> What if? WHY?
>> This is the one thing that I hate. Why is it so dark? Did something happen here? Oh, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
This is like the one criticism I have of a lot of children's shows and is there's a lot of kids shows that are enjoyable by adults and I can't really like hold it against them because like their target audience have shorter attention spans. But one thing that is so indic so I guess it's not even a criticism but it's just like a personal thing I don't like so much for it is the fact how do I even phrase this? I feel like because children's shows episodes have to exist on their own and have to be able to exist as their own entities.
That means that character arcs have to start and end in that episode. And so while you might get over like overarching character arcs, there's also a lot of times where a character almost has to go backwards at the start of the episode and like almost go too far down the negative path that they're going to learn from by the end of the episode. Does that actually make sense? It's just something I've noticed with a lot of shows. And like honestly, I think that's why so many people got tired of Mabel's characters because while like Gravity Falls in general was better about not having arcs feeling too repetitive or having characters regress at the start of an episode just to learn a lesson. I feel like that's exactly what her boys crazy character aspect was. You know what I mean? And like to be clear, I tolerate no Mabel hate on this channel or any other. I constantly defending her on my other channel when we would react to it. Like I am a Mabel defender. But I still think that that's repetitive. And like seeing like her go this far, I'm just like, "God, I wish we didn't have to invent character regression just to have them grow from it by the end of a self-contained episode. And I understand why it's written that way. I just don't like it." There's my rant.
>> A little too easy to you.
>> And why is it dark when they open the doors? I'm so nervous.
>> Awesome.
>> Let's get back to the party. What happened? There's no way they're just going to go in. Everyone's just like, >> "Wait till you hear about.
>> Jeez, >> something's wrong."
>> Yeah.
>> What was that?
>> There.
>> Is that Flutterina?
>> She's shaking. Sweet girl.
>> Child, I want to protect you.
>> They attacked as soon as you left. B tried to fight. He is the only reason some people were able to escape. But >> the only reason some people were able to escape, how many people >> What happened here?
>> What happened to the rest? Captured was awful.
>> Are we far enough into the show?
>> For them to kill people like civilians.
That'd be crazy.
>> Were able to escape, but they took him and everyone else.
>> They took took him and everyone else.
>> They fought in the woods >> was a distraction.
>> Must have been a diversion. I know I'm small and I'm not a [music] rebellion fighter, but I want to help. So, can I come?
>> Yes.
>> So brave to go from trembling to like vibly. Like you can see in her body language that she's still like really nervous to help. God, what a good character already. I adore her.
>> Oh no.
>> Where are my arrows?
>> We should have evacuated the town instead of listening to Shira.
>> Maybe >> Shirro and Swiftwind won't rest until they find us. But that's true.
>> But that doesn't mean we can't work on getting out of here ourselves.
>> Okay, Bo. Let's go, Bo. I'm so excited to see how this goes. AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO THIS IS. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. Crucially important question.
1416 is what I need to jump back to.
No. Okay. I was wondering if fake Catra was still going to have like scars from that injury, but no, they don't. So yeah, I have no idea who this is.
>> Taking a bunch of random prisoners from a party. Putting said prisoners in a big pit. Guarding said pit. If that doesn't say friendship, I don't know what does.
>> Is this even a Catra?
>> Super pal duo is back. What about the weapons we confiscated?
>> Oh, Scorpion.
>> Shirou is an Alberon, which means she's nearby. Okay.
>> Do you think she'll try some secret attack?
>> Almost. Oh, I'm counting on it.
>> Okay, that's Catra.
>> Who's that? What? There's the guard post. If we can get inside, we can figure out where B and the others.
>> WHAT IS THAT? Su like a like a Sith face out of nowhere.
>> Then if we can get inside, we can figure out where B and the others are being held. How are we supposed to get in there without being seen?
>> Have an idea.
Oh no, you've caught me. How will I ever get away?
>> She's the best character. I want to protect her with everything. I want to just put her in a box and protect her from the world. I adore Fletina already.
[laughter] Boom. Great. Also, punching someone in a helmet so hard they go unconscious is crazy. That's She's got crazy strength feats even outside of Shirro mode.
>> This must be where they're keeping them for the honor of Grace.
>> Transformation sequence. Woo!
[music] >> God, Flutterina is so great.
That does bring up a good question. What does everyone else see while she's in space?
Awesome.
>> Apparently something very cool though.
That was great.
[music] >> Well, let's go. No, you cut THEM IN HALF.
NEVER MIND. YOU'RE DUMB. I WAS EXCITED.
NO. NOW THERE'S GOING TO BE LIKE SIX OF THEM. Does each piece make its own full monster or butt? 1 2 3 4.
I SAID THAT. I SAID SIX JUST FROM COUNTING THE PIECES.
>> SORRY.
>> OH, luckily they didn't search you well enough.
>> Oh, >> can I borrow this?
>> He made his own trick arrow with reclaimed Horttech and the bow that he inspired that child to wield.
If B didn't inspire the child, they couldn't get out of here right now. And that's beautiful.
>> Absolute Shira. Like that's just incredible. There it is.
>> But are you actually >> have to show up?
>> No, this isn't. This one's not. Now, this is what I'm going to try to predict every time is I'm going to try as soon as like Catra or even other characters in the horde show up whether it's double or not. This is double. I just I feel it in my gut.
>> Come on, tell me I'm right.
>> Seriously, I thought I'd have to kidnap [music] another town to get your attention. I'm done playing your games, Catra. Too many people got hurt when you set [music] off that portal.
>> Ooh, maybe this isn't double, cuz she had that trauma response.
>> You were the one who left the villagers unprotected. You're good enough at hurting your friends without MY HELP.
WOO!
DANG. OKAY. UH-OH.
[screaming] >> Pretty good.
>> I got the idea from Shadow Weaver.
>> At least she was good for something in the end.
>> Okay, never mind. This is definitely not double.
>> Friends could see you now.
>> All right, that's everyone.
>> Let's get out of here.
>> Go. Or is something?
>> What are you doing here?
>> It's Shira. She's in trouble and she needs our help.
>> Yeah.
So, I'm not saying that Adora did the wrong thing. She was absolutely in the right coming and trying to save her friends. But from what I can tell, if Chiron Swiftwin didn't come, all the prisoners would have just escaped and been okay, RIGHT? LIKE, I'M NOT SAYING THAT AS A DISS AGAINST ADORA, but I am reading the situation correctly, RIGHT? SHE COULD have just stayed away and everything would have been fine.
Yeah.
>> We have to do something.
>> Wait.
>> Confetti cannon.
Great child. Loving all of the kids in this episode. They're all great.
B's unstoppable.
Absolutely unstoppable.
Dog pig. Dog pig. Dog pig. Loaf of bread. BEST FRIEND POWERS. THE SUPER THE super thing. The I don't remember what it's called. Swift literally said it this episode and I don't remember, but let's go. And that the triumphant soundtrack.
Let's go instruments.
Now do it again. Hit her again. DO IT A SECOND TIME. STOP JUST STARING AT HER, YOU USELESS LESBIAN.
Throw another bow.
Why do YOU HAVE LEMON AMMO OR SOMETHING?
>> WHATEVER.
>> We couldn't have gotten out of that without you guys.
>> Thank Floodina. It was her quick thinking that saved us.
>> But I'm ready to join the rebellion. I want to fight the Horde and keep my people safe, just like Shira.
>> The Rebellion could use someone brave and clever like you. We'd be honored.
>> Yes, we >> faces are so great. I need to see that one again. Hold on.
>> Could use someone like so great.
>> We'd be honored.
>> She's perfect. Adore her.
>> How you doing, >> Catra? There you are. Look, don't worry about all that Adora stuff. I'm here and there's nothing the two of us can't fix because that's what friends are for.
>> You're going to get pushed off the ledge. [music] Oh, and if Entra were here, maybe we could >> Stop it. Back off. I don't need to explain myself to you. We're not friends.
It >> was literally like six episodes ago that I had so much hope for these two.
Oh, the shaky pupils. The shaky pupils.
>> Oh, and Scorpia.
>> Stop it. Whatever you're about to say.
Keep Emily out of my sight or I'll sell her for scrap.
>> Defect.
Leave.
>> If she insists on pushing you away, let yourself be pushed. Go anywhere. Back to the Crimson Wastes. Even I think you would be able to reform that place with Antara.
>> You okay?
>> I put everyone in danger because I thought I could handle everything by myself.
>> Elberon's safe and we got a new recruit for the rebellion. Oh, >> that's true.
>> You're right.
>> This is a way.
>> I couldn't have done it without you.
>> There we go.
>> Thanks, Bo.
>> There we go.
>> Now, let's go home. Did it work?
[laughter] >> What? What was the plan?
>> Like a charm. The plan is underway.
>> What?
>> Go to Bright Moon.
>> Wait, what's the what?
>> Those idiots don't know where Oh my gosh.
When did that switch happen?
Was it the whole time?
Okay, three options. Either Flood Arena doesn't even exist. I'm going crazy.
Either Flutter Arena doesn't even exist at all and it's always been double.
Option two, which I currently think is the most likely out of the three, is that it was swapped when like right before Adoran Swift got back to the party. So when they found her trembling behind the table, that was double.
Option three, it was still Flutterina all the way up to when they got cornered and then Adora was like, "Stay out of sight." She ran away. And then the Flutterina that came up to B was double.
Oh my gosh. I did not see that coming at all. They really pulled one over on me there.
>> The plan is underway.
Welcome to Bright Moon.
>> Those idiots won't know what hit him.
>> Wow, what a play. And the somber version of the closing theme.
Oo man, good stuff.
Good stuff. Wow, that was a good episode. That was already a really good episode and then that ending absolutely shook me.
I was planning on only watching up to this one, but I've got a little bit extra time. I'm going to go for one more today, actually. So, patrons are getting episodes 2, three, and four on June 12th. Imagine if you had gotten it that early. Oh, wait. you can down in the description.
A lot of people don't listen to the outro, so I'm actually going to save the sales pitch I was about to do for the start of next episode because more people watch out intros than outros.
But, [music] you know, if you don't need a sales pitch to be worth joining, then join.
And as always, G, that was awful. I'm so sorry. As always, gals, bloss, and all other folks, I will see you in the next video.
Goodbye.
