BREAKING: INDIA'S BIGGEST AI POLICY YET! ₹2 Lakh Crore & 57,000 Jobs

Uttar Pradesh has approved its new Data Center Policy 2026, a ₹2 lakh crore initiative aimed at adding 2 GW of data center capacity to position the state as India's premier green and AI-ready technology hub. The policy emphasizes GPU-based infrastructure and energy-efficient facilities, offering dedicated AI compute booster support and green data center incentives. The state is targeting the Bundelkhand and Purvanchal regions for development, with projections of generating 7,500 long-term direct jobs and up to 50,000 short-term construction roles. This policy replaces the expired 2021 framework and builds on previous investments of over ₹21,000 crore across seven operational projects, positioning Uttar Pradesh to capture the growing global demand for AI compute and hyperscale facilities.
