Sreetips masterfully turns the counterintuitive logic of "diluting to purify" into a disciplined ritual of chemical elegance. This is a rare demonstration where industrial grit meets laboratory precision to achieve near-perfect elemental isolation.

PURE GOLD Inquartation OnlyAdded:
Welcome back to my channel, everyone.
Sreetips here.
And uh today what I'm going to do is I've got some more carrot scrap in here.
And I've already weighed it all out and determined that I need 50.7 g of sterling silver to properly inquart this gold.
The yield from this amount should be about 25.1 g.
I need 50.7 and I've got 51.6 g of sterling silver on this scale.
So, what we're going to do is we're going to go out and inquart this gold with this sterling silver.
>> Here's our in quarted gold.
And I added additional silver here to get the uh gold content down to 25% 6K.
Going to set this up on our heat over here.
And I have this nitric acid dilute nitric acid from my previous video. It's got some gold in it.
I'm going to use it to pull the silver out of here.
People were asking, "Why didn't I use this nitric acid when I went to dissolve the gold in my previous video?
Why didn't I use this nitric acid to make the aqua regia?" And the answer is because this is going to have a little bit of silver in it.
And it would form silver chloride, which is undesirable.
So, we're going to use it now to pull the silver and base metals out of this inquarted gold.
Just like in my last video, I'm using hot dilute nitric acid to pull all the silver and all the base metals out of this inquarted gold. When I get done with these nitric boils, I should have pure gold left.
There's our gold.
Should have all the silver and all the base metals pulled out of it now.
And we've left it in that nitric acid so long. You see that yellow color?
That's gold going into solution with the boiling nitric. I'm just going to pour it off to this jar right here and save it.
>> I'm going to put some distilled water in here.
And boil the gold for a few minutes in distilled water.
It's been boiling in water now for a little while.
Pour this water off to the silver jar over here.
All righty.
The gold right there should be close to uh 995 in purity.
So, what we're going to do is try to uh put it in this uh container right here.
Let's get the excess water out of here now.
>> Now what we'll do is pull our heat up over here.
Our heat source up here.
We're going to stick this little bit of gold here and dry it out in this pan.
Once I get the gold real hot, I added a few little grains of potassium nitrate. The excess oxygen in that nitrate will burn off the impurities that tend to float on top of the gold.
>> That came out way better than I was expecting.
Look at that, man.
Holy cow, man. I was not expecting it to look that good.
I am flabbergasted at how well that has come out.
That proof right there how good the inquartation process is as long as we boil it long enough nitric acid, we can get just about all of the impurities out of that.
Let me go ahead and stamp this thing.
Look at that, man.
That's just inquartation and parting with nitric acid.
And that looks very close to being just as good as some of my other stuff that I fully refined.
Let's see. We're we're looking for 25.1 g.
And let's see what we actually got here.
25.
Can I explain that? No, I cannot.
But I got to tell you, I'm very pleased with the way this thing came out.
It's a lot less work.
And this is fine for sending into the big refiner.
All right, this will conclude the video.
Thank you for watching.
