In Vietnamese, tone placement follows specific rules: for single vowels, the tone goes on the vowel; for two vowels with no ending, the tone goes on the first vowel for balance; for two vowels with an ending, the tone goes on the second vowel. The tone placement is primarily for visual balance and does not change pronunciation, as the tone affects the entire word. When two vowels are present, the tone can be placed on either vowel depending on which is the dominant vowel, which is more prominent in pronunciation.

Where do you put the tone in Vietnamese words? π»π³ #learnvietnameseAdded:
My name is I have a question that where should we place the tone in the word? So this is the answer.
You know, when the word got the vowel in it, of course the tone is around the vowel.
When it got two vowels and nothing at the end, the tone we place on the first vowel because it's look balanced.
And when there's two vowels and there's something at the end after those two vowels, the tone we place on the second vowel. But you know what? Whatever the tone place in the word, it won't change how it sound. It sound because the tone affect the whole word. It's look it put like this just to look balanced and looks beautiful.
Sometimes you see there is two vowels, but the tone can put in the beginning or in the end here of the double vowels, right? Do you know why? For example, this couple vowels the a at the end is a dominant vowel.
This one you pronounce where and the reason why this one is dominant vowel, you can find it in the link in my bio to understand all about pronunciation.
Here, you know, this is a dominant vowel, so the tone can place here to look good, but sometimes it can place here like where the dominant vowel is.
But again, wherever the tone is, it affect the whole word. Okay, I hope you get it. Thank you very much.
