Xenophobia and social tension often stem from underlying economic problems such as high unemployment and wealth inequality rather than cultural or racial issues; addressing these root causes through entrepreneurship and economic development is more effective than blaming immigrants or opposing them.

For Europe Is immigration problem for SA is Something else
Added:Let's talk about xenophobia. Now, before I get into the topic, I want to bring your attention to something, which is notice how that there is an immigration problem in Europe, but a xenophobia problem in South Africa. What's the difference? It's actually the same thing, but the way they make it out to be when they call it an immigration problem is as if to say in Europe, xenophobia doesn't happen. It's the immigrants that are the problem. But here in South Africa, it's the people who are against the immigrants who are the problem. You see that? You see the different narrative for Europe and for Africa. Just be careful of that. Now, let's get to the crux of it. The crux of it is that this is a sign of the cracks in our economy. People are facing crushing poverty, crushing unemployment.
I mean, our youth unemployment is anything from 50 to 60%. That's the the highest youth unemployment rate in the world. We hold a world record as a country. Not something we should be proud of. Then when it comes to another nasty thing, we are also record holders, which is this.
South Africa has the highest wealth inequality in the world. Yeah. 15 10 to 15% of the population owns 70% of the wealth. So we got a big problem here.
It's not that this is a poor country.
It's not that there is no money. There's a lot of money, but the wealth is skewed. The wealth distribution is skewed. Some people are super wealthy while the others are super poor. And the cracks are appearing. This is going to appear and this is this is a problem that's going to fester. So what do we do about it? The problem is bad. And yes, I do agree it started in the apartheid era and there is still a legacy of that. 30 years is not enough to solve those problems because I mean if you look at the the the way that the wealth was distributed, the way that education, healthc care, geography, the the where people were made to live, all of those things were deliberate. Uh I mean here's an example. If you look at uh typical uh CBD like in Cape Town, right around the CBD are the very wealthy people and the and the the the the disadvantaged ones have to come in all the way from out of town 15 20 kilometers sit 2 hours in transit before they can get to work. So there's a system that has been in play and yes a lot has been done and I'm not speaking in on behalf of the government.
I'm not a political guy. I don't even know what happens in politics but I'm just giving you geography. I'm just giving you the the economics of it. So there's a big problem. Now, how do we solve this? Because this is a problem that's compounding annually. This is not a problem that we can say is there and it's at least it's it's under control.
At least it's not spreading. No, this is spreading and it's getting worse and it's getting worse by the by the month.
Now that there's the war in Iran uh that's caused petrol prices to go up, things are going to get worse. So what do we do as a country? Here's the problem.
We cannot rely on the government to fix this. It's like saying we're going to rely on apathide government to fix apathide. It's not going to happen. What we need is for the youth to get into entrepreneurship to start businesses.
Even if it's a tiny business selling fat cook on the street corner, start a business. Get yourself employed. The only way to fix unemployment and the only way to truly redistribute wealth is through entrepreneurship. Go and read the books of econ economics particularly a book by Hajun Changeng Chinese author.
He wrote a simple book on economics and go and look at that. Look at what they say. It's through entrepreneurship, through enterprising young people that economies change, that wealth distribution becomes more even rather than skewed on one side. So as a country, we need to be encouraging our young people to get into business because that's the way of the future for our business and that's the way that China has become a success. I mean if you look at the countries China, India, Iran, Turkey, how did they come up? Through entrepreneurship, through hard work, through business and they are continuing to grow. Whereas the countries that are the wararmongers, you can see they are on a decline.
Economically they are decline morally they on decline in every possible way.
They on a decline. Now we as a country we are posed for massive growth in South Africa. And South Africa is a rich country. Did you hear me? I said South Africa is a rich country but we need to fix the wealth inequality and the only way I say it again is through business right the reason why I keep calling on African government and African presidents let me tell let me tell my fellow Africans now listen if if you want to know when someone will never progress your friend will not progress your neighbor will not progress let me tell you let me say for example you have a neighbor you have a washing machine and if your neighbor neighbor wants to wash their clothes. They come and beg you to use your washing machine to wash their clothes and go hang it.
And your neighbor at weekends can buy alcohol. Weekends your neighbor will want to go to parties. Your your neighbor will use your washing machine to the extent you now tell your neighbor. Don't you want to own your own washing machine? That's exactly how these old African presidents they are.
They are those dumb ass neighbors.
All our presidents who who were sick and died in who died, Nigerian presidents, past presidents, they did not die in Nigeria. They died in some medical facility overseas. When they were sick, they were flown to Germany, flown to um Europe, okay, to the UK to be treated.
Can I tell you guys, news flash, the South Africans that you are fighting, when Mandela was sick, Mandela was admitted in a medical facility in South Africa.
So see you don't come here and come and be talking of competition. Shut up. Just shut up. 90% of the products in South Africa made in South. Just shut up your mouth. Just imagine the western world will take your natural resources. Refine it. Bring it back.
Double the price. You will buy it.
Listen. You take that same money. Send your child to a university in that western world with that same money that they gave you. Listen. and go back and send the money back to the masters in western world paying for your child's education pay for your child's medical bills. Why can you not build that same medical facility in your country? Why can you not build that same universal educational standard in your country? Do you see that we cannot decolonize ourselves? Let me give you one lame example again to some people. The white man came up with the idea of refining tobacco. While in the old days of Africans, we don't refine tobacco. We take the leaves, we grind them, we smoke them in pipes, we create wood pipe, we smoke them, we smoke them naturally, organically. They started infusing and and and lacing them with chemicals. They put nicotine, they put tar, nicotine is what makes you crave cigarettes. They wrote in front of the box boldly.
Smoking damages your lungs. Smokers are liable to die young. But guess what?
It's legally sold in the shops. Alcohol that causes liver cerosis is legally sold in the shops. Cannabis which is a natural herb that is a grass that grows that has how many mineral compounds for healing chronic it can heal clinical depression it can heal spine spine spinal cord disease they told you that is illegal are you getting what I'm saying right now Africans are you get what I'm saying we would take ourselves and go to that same slave master and give them the money why don't we build those facilities so our African government this old president that's why I want young people to rule they are thinking like that dumb neighbor who doesn't want to own his own washing machine, wants to use your washing machine to keep washing and come back and tell you he's better than you.
Guys, just wake up, man. Wake up. This guy said, let me say it in pigeon English.
Not compare yourself with South Africa.
Don't do Don't even think or Egypt or Morocco. Don't don't try it. Don't try it. Any rich man in Nigeria who sick, they flying overseas. Are you serious?
So, we cannot build the rich men in South Africa when they are sick. I think it's one out of 1 million that tries to go to they stay in South Africa. Yeah.
The first heart surgery was performed in South Africa in Cape Town. Nigeria we have qualified medical doctors the one of the best in the world. Where are they? They're working overseas.
You guys are clown APC. Our government most of the presence in Africa you guys are clowns.
You're playing. Shame on you people.
>> Hi guys. U my name is King and I just wanted to say something really quick. Um I live in Johannesburg, South Africa and um I did promise myself I was going to say anything about um the apophobic attack happening in South Africa because um media I just been succeeding in amplifying everything happening in South Africa. I live here it's not as bad as everybody sees online. I promise you um it is the truth. It's not as bad as people see online. I go out every day. I I've never been stopped by anybody. You get me? Um yes, there's a match and match going on, but um it's not as bad as people say. Um these medians are just trying to push a narrative that I don't understand. You know, there are South Africans who are also fighting against this match to match but they don't give them platform. you know so other African country can also see that there are people or there are South Africans who are against it in fact let me explain something to you there there's 60 million South African population right South Africa has a population of 60 million whatever you see on the match on match is less than 100,000 people right it's less than 100,000 people so that's less than 0.1% of South Africans Please, please.
There's a lot of South Africans making videos on Tik Tok explaining and teaching black South Africans how to go about illegal immigrants.
Do you get me? Julius Malma has been fighting for against black and black hate. Black on black hate. He's been fighting for it. Jimma is a South African. So we can't rob everybody with the same cloth. Please, I'm begging.
Do you get me? Because let's be let's be honest. There's a narrative or there's a there's an agenda that I just can't point my hand on. But I know there's an agenda because I do not see any reason why the mainstream media is giving this situation. on South Africa as a like South African mainstream media is giving this situation or whatever is going on so much attention like they even the one announcing the deportation of um other African countries and especially that NC something whatever that news station when I went to check um NC sorry when I went to check the board of directors they were all white I'm like because when I was you know when you go to Instagram for you page like you know they they bring different news for you.
I've been check I'm like what's going on here? Why is this particular news station just obsessed with this um xenophobic attack or whatever? Why are they trying to portray a uh South Africa as a aophobic country? Like why are they doing this? You get me? What what is their game? What what is their plan? Are you guys trying to isolate South Africa or black South Africa from Africa? Is that what your plan is? I'm asking. I want to know because already whatever you guys are doing is working because a friend of mine went to the other day and she said um she didn't get um a very welcome reception. It's happening already. You know, people are beginning to resent South Africans outside South Africa. I know a lot of South Africans do not care because they don't travel.
But I'm telling you, remember the same people you call your own today are the same people that didn't want you to be um equal or even live comfortably in this country. You know, the same people that fought for you. remember the same people who fought for you.
Cuz let me tell you, I know you might not know, I might not know um the level of um commitment and the level of struggle that people had to go through to for us to get here today. You know, regardless of whatever Nigeria contributed, um um our parents could not eat lunch because they wanted to make sure the money comes to South Africa. Let's leave that. But let's focus on something greater. Remember, they've been pushing the white genocide. They've been pushing the white genocide. Whatever that didn't work, that didn't go as planned, right?
What if they are trying to isolate black South Africans from other African country just in case there's a apatite 2.0, you get me? We need to think. We need to we and other African countries. Please don't just let's not just be quick to judge, you know. Just let's not be quick to judge. Please. I live here and I can tell you it's not as bad as the internet portray. I promise you. I'm not speaking this to be one of a good people to be on a good book. No, I don't care about anybody. Do you get me? I'm saying let's be careful.
Do you get me? Let's be careful. Please, let's be careful.
on the behalf of all the South Africans that are not afophobic that has been fighting against the march on match let's be patient with South Africans please please you know please please a lot of a lot of these people don't travel and if you look at the match and match a lot of them they use for this match and match are hungry black South African Africans.
Some of them are dear just for looting.
That's why they are marching.
They don't really care whatever agenda is going on. That is just to make sure they get to loot and eat.
You know how Africans know how to weaponize poverty.
They know how to weaponize poverty.
This, you know, how they like to know.
They know how to do it. So, please let's calm down. You know, understand what is going on. Yes. If you're in LEGA, get your paper right. If you can't get the paper right, go home and see if you can fix it. Do you get me? And all of us as Africa must come together. It is wrong for us to, you know, fight against each other while there's government while the government are baiting and piling up our resources and enjoying themselves while we continue to fight among each other. It is wrong. It is wrong. We can't be like our forefathers. We can't be like our parents.
This generation should be should be different. We should think different.
Our impact should be different. Please, I'm begging.
Okay. South Africans, I know most some of you, not most, some of you do not care about um other African isolating you guys because you might not know what's going to happen if they do. Um, I'm telling you it will not be it will not be as easy as you think. Do you get me? Uh, there's Arena there already.
There's Cape Town already saying they want to be listening my guys.
Stay calm. Thank you.
