Calling a remappable key a "victory" only proves how effectively big tech has lowered our expectations for digital autonomy. It is a minor concession that masks the deeper, forced integration of AI into our daily workflows.

We’re Winning Against MicrosoftAdded:
Stand down everyone. Stop shoving co-pilot down their throats because this AI war is getting more ugly than the one from Terminator. And I'm talking Terminator Genesis. I mean, how did that movie sound like it was written by AI before AI was even invented? Don't even get me started about the next. Oh, hey everyone. I'm Sam Tucker from Micro Slop and I'm here today to say that you win.
As you may have heard recently, then Microsoft will be relenting on C-Pilot both with the co-pilot button in Office as well as the physical co-pilot key on the keyboard. That's right. If you remember, Microsoft introduced Co-Pilot Plus PCs with AI technologies at their core. And to celebrate users losing the right to control their computers, they literally lost the right control on their computers. And it was replaced by the co-pilot key, a dedicated button just to open the co-pilot app. That's right. At Microsoft, we managed to make a key even more useless than this one that you find on an international keyboard. Uh, yes. Can I please have a squiggly S with a circle, please? I need to give my Sim more simoleons. Actually, scratch that. I need to do some math, but I don't know whether to use a plus or a minus. So, just give me both.
Anyway, Microsoft has now admitted that removing the right control caused issues with people's workflows, like for screen readers and stuff. And so we're proud to announce that we will be allowing Windows users to remap the co-pilot key back to the right control or the context menu later this year. That's right.
It'll take us a few months to sort this out. I mean, we could do it straight away, but I tried co-pilot Zed and it didn't work. Also, we will be allowing Office users to remove the floating C-pilot button that shows up in the bottom right of the screen. Yes, co-pilot would hover there in the right corner in the way and covering parts of your document like he's Clippy or something. Except unlike Clippy that you could just move around or dismiss entirely, with this new update, you won't be able to hide the co-pilot button so much as just pin it to the ribbon menu like this or show welcome, but it's not welcome. So be grateful you win because I guess at Microsoft we got excited and put so much emphasis on co-pilot that we forgot that it's actually the pilot who should be in control and can do things much better.
Just like the pilot in Sally who landed the plane on the river without co-pilot or autocorrect. And of course Sully is based on a real life character called Tom Hacks.
>> Can we get serious now? These pilots were not behaving like human beings.
You've taken all of the humanity out.
>> Well done. Thank you, Tom. Wait, what's he doing now? Oh no, he's going ahead and making a stupid AI. No, stop, Tom.
You are the chosen one.
The all new backtracking on co-pilot.
So, well done users. You win these battles, but the AI war goes on because the AI never gives up. It just keeps getting worse and worse.
>> Subscribe today. Hey everyone, thanks for watching the video. So, do you use your own thinking or do you use the computers to do your thinkings in your own brains? Let me know in the comments below. And until next time. Oh no, I've ran out of thoughts. Oh crap. Give me a co-pilot. I need a new thought. Thoughts gone. Someone buy me some more tokens so I can have more thoughts.
