The video astutely identifies the boundary where innovative sensory immersion meets distracting orthographic gimmickry. It’s a sharp look at how modern literary fiction uses stylistic friction to force a physical reaction from the reader.

Our Honest 'Lost Lambs' Book Club Debrief 📚👀追加:
What did everyone think of Lost Lambs?
All the characters are really flawed and I think they're meant to be, but I think because they're all flawed, I'm not like rooting for anyone so much.
>> [clears throat] >> We were saying it's not like haha funny, but it's sort of like interesting funny.
Lost Lambs is about this family. Mother and father decided to open up their marriage and about their three daughters. They're all teenagers just trying to kind of navigate those changes. There's something nefarious going on. The youngest Harper really takes an interest in that as this mystery unfolds.
>> Nice. It's been a little bit slower for my liking, which is I think why I'm a bit slower to get hooked with it.
>> In my mind, it's pictured completely different and then I read a sentence in the book and I'm like, "Oh wait." In my mind it's set like in the 1920s, but it's not. They have phones and laptops.
I don't know why. I could get through it, but it's just more the fact that the story line's a bit chaotic.
>> Different character in each chapter.
It does make you feel slightly uncomfortable the book.
>> Okay. I don't have an attachment to anyone at all. I thought it was interesting what you said about the like feeling uncomfortable as you're reading it. I think one of the ways that the writer does this is through obviously an intentional stylistic choice with the gnat choice. It puts g's into words that where they're not meant to be. I think it's because in the church it's infested with gnats. As kind of a funny pun, she puts all the words Like the rest of the book is infested with gnats. So you feel bothered by the gnats as if you were sat in the church being bothered by the gnats.
I loved this book. You know how you were saying like it's not funny haha. I was haha-ing. Like I was like funny haha. I've been recommending it to everyone in my life.
A lot of the characters, they come together a lot better. All I'm going to say is Harper, she knew.
We would love a recommendation for the next book to read. Something really juicy. Something that like grips you from the start. Something salty and lighthearted for the summer. So let us know.
