The Media Still Can’t Quit Harry & Meghan—Standing Ovations for Charles, But Where Are the Crowds?

[00:00:00]Hey guys, Claire here and in today's video we're going to talk about all things Harry and Megan. King Charles is officially on American soil for his state visit. Looking at some of the headlines, particularly from the UK press are still incapable of not trying to pull the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the headlines. Now, this particular article from the New World entitled The Daily Mail's dangerous obsession with Megan, the paper's malice towards the the Duchess of Sussex is boundless, and its stories about her are entirely in bad faith. Why does it do it? The answer is depressingly simple. It goes on to say, "If you apply AAM's razor to the Daily Mail's enduring obsession with Megan, the simplest explanation is an economic one. It pumps out so many stories focused on her because its readership keeps clicking on them with an angry hunger for more. If their interest in her evaporated, so would the male's output about her. But that won't happen anytime soon. The avalanche of stories creates more interest, which in turn fuels the creation of even more stories. I'm not going to read the entire article. You can check it out if you'd like. One of the more interesting aspects of the article is that it provided some not so shocking statistics. Over the 19 days in April of 2026, The Mail published 70 stories using Megan as a hook. Not surprising.

[00:01:22]Someone a couple of years ago went into how many stories the male and the tabloids wrote about Megan in a specific timeline, and it was like in the hundreds. It was insane.

[00:01:37]>> In the first 19 days of April, The Daily Mail published 70 stories with Megan, the Duchess of Sussex, as the hook for the story on its website. On one day, between 5:00 a.m. and 300 p.m., it published a story on her every 2 hours.

[00:01:54]And the following day, it published three stories about her in 12 minutes.

[00:02:00]Um, these are all details uh that I talk about in my latest article for the New World magazine about um the Daily Mails, as the headline says, the Daily Mail's dangerous obsession with Megan. Um, what do you think? I think it is obsessed.

[00:02:16]And um interestingly, the response to this article being posted on X has been a load of uh people um equally obsessed with saying horrible things about a woman they don't know. So yeah, an interesting one.

[00:02:33]>> Charles and Camila are currently in the US, but some of the royal commentators who are on American soil are still talking about Harry, Megan, and their children. two children in the same country at the same time and as far as I'm aware they're not seeing each other.

[00:02:48]>> Well, I I suspect the king will be too busy really to do any sort of extracurricular visits outside.

[00:02:54]>> Yeah, absolutely.

[00:02:54]>> I mean, he's the king. He can probably decide his schedule. If I was the king, I'd be deciding what I did and didn't do, wouldn't you?

[00:03:01]>> Yeah, but I just >> It's an excuse though, is it? He's an excuse. Oh, I'm the king. I'm too busy to see my son and my grandchildren.

[00:03:06]>> I know. But can you imagine if he did fly across to California unexpectedly, the whole state visit would be overshadowed. So I don't think K star will be too happy about that one.

[00:03:14]>> It wouldn't go unexpectedly. But my my point being that if he really wanted to see his kids and his grandchildren, he could make it happen. It's an excuse, isn't it, to say, "I'm the king. I'm too busy."

[00:03:23]>> It definitely is an excuse. If he wanted to, he would. It's as simple as that. At least she was honest enough to say so.

[00:03:32]Now, as much as the UK tabloids love to talk about how much Americans adore the monarchy and King Charles, that in my experience has not been the case.

[00:03:44]There's still so many Americans who are not tuned in to the monarchy into the royals or even this trip to Charles and Camila.

[00:03:52]>> Doesn't have any effect on my life that they're visiting.

[00:03:54]>> No, I don't think I can even tell you who the king or the queen are.

[00:03:57]>> It doesn't offend me. I don't know that I'm looking forward to it or anything.

[00:04:02]>> I'll talk it up amongst all my friends.

[00:04:04]>> Did you know that the king and queen were coming to visit?

[00:04:07]>> I did not.

[00:04:08]>> No clue. I didn't know anything about it.

[00:04:10]>> I had heard that they were coming. Yes.

[00:04:12]I did not know that it was confirmed that they were coming though.

[00:04:15]>> And that's generally been the consensus that I've seen from a lot of people on social media. Now, Emily Barack, who is a writer for Town and Country, tweeted this saying, "I went to talk to New Yorkers who were waiting to catch a glimpse of King Charles at the 9/11 memorial. What I found instead, New Yorkers hoping to see Mayor Mandani and tourists annoyed at their plans to see the memorial were disrupted." Now, this article is pretty long and it gives you a lot of quotes from New Yorkers and tourists alike, many of whom were peeved by the disruption and their inability to visit the memorial. We are told constantly through these polls that Americans love the monarchy, and I don't doubt that there are a lot of Americans who do, but it's not the majority. And it's so far overstated how many people truly are interested in these visits and in the monarchy in general. Two of these latest tours from Harry and Megan and this one from Charles and Camila really brings that point home. We were told before Harry and Megan went to Australia that they're going to be tred and feathered and people are going to hate them. We saw crowds. We saw love. We saw positivity.

[00:05:32]So these polls and articles were incorrect then. Before this trip, we were told just how much the American people love Charles and Camila. Well, Charles, not necessarily Camila, but we're seeing he got a standing ovation while addressing Congress, but beyond that, you're not seeing a lot of crowds.

[00:05:51]So, there's the polls in the articles, and then there's reality. And I feel like for a lot of the noise that's made from certain people whenever Harry and Megan go on these international trips is because they know that with each trip that they take, the narrative that they continue to create is proven false.

[00:06:12]>> The bottom line is this. When you're talking about more than three and five Americans saying, you know what, go to another channel. Go watch the BBC if you want some royal.

[00:06:20]>> I don't believe you. Surely Americans watch these big royal events that get broadcast in full across every major network. Yeah. Okay. You don't believe me, John Burman, but it's in the numbers, baby. It's in the numbers. Look at this. Viewership of major events.

[00:06:33]Viewership in America's coronation of Charles the third. And this is across channels here in the United States. It was 10 million. Compare that to what I believe is one of the most American events possible. How about the Super Bowl? This past year's Super Bowl. Look at this. 126 million. What is that?

[00:06:47]That's 12.6 6 times as many folks watching the Super Bowl a pure American event as opposed to the coronation of Charles the third. I will note of course that this was early in the morning but of course it was across all the major channels too. So I believe that this is a just comparison. I mean this was just on one network. This was on just one network and this was on what like five, six, seven, eight networks. But the Americans have had enough and the bottom line is this. His mother had what was it like triple the audience for her coronation. So interest is is declining as well. I'm getting I can feel my phone going off now already with concerns perhaps over this segment, but I will say we won the revolution 250 years ago and we won the viewership battle again here.

[00:07:23]>> That's that's exactly right.

[00:07:25]>> Now, seeing some of the photographs of the people that Charles seemed to be very cozy and comfortable with, I can't help but think Megan was never ever going to fit in in that crowd. Never ever. Now for me, the Windsors and the Trumps are very similar. Both demand and expect difference. Both have very close relationships with the media and uses the media to put their narratives out there to excite their bases. More specifically, media under the Murdoch Empire with the British royal family.

[00:08:05]They use the tabloids like the Daily Mail. For Trump, he uses Fox. All of which is under the Murdoch Empire. Also, both hire people from within the Murdoch Empire. Charles and Camila have hired transplants from the Daily Mail. And we know in this current administration, there are people from Fox News who are in very high ranking positions, very similar sets of friends.

[00:08:32]If you know, you know, and a slew of other similarities, but this is not a political channel, so I'm not really going to go into that. But you guys let me know what you think. Personally, I feel like both of those families are more similar than a lot of people would care to admit.

[00:08:50]Different uh titles, different accents, same but different. also both prop up and embody a certain type of supremacy.

[00:09:03]So yeah, Megan was never going to fit in. She was never going to be accepted and was never going to be treated well.

[00:09:08]>> Aside from having firsthand experience of of battle in Afghanistan, Harry has also dedicated much of his life since then helping those who've been seriously injured in warfare. Now Harry has many critics. Good grift, isn't it? Picking on the guy who suggests Britain's first family is less than perfect. But I doubt there's anyone listening today who's done more for injured servicemen and women than Harry has. And then on the other side of this rail, we have Donald Trump, who dodged the Vietnam draft not once, not twice, three, four, but five times. A man who's never served in battle, but has created battlefields in which decent, upstanding men and women die. Uh, and whose cut saw, I think it's 28,000 veterans workers ax in in in the first wave. Now, while this state visit is carrying on, there's been a scandal that not much of the media is covering.

[00:09:58]Channel 4 discovered that the king's private estate tried to sell land contaminated with toxic illegal waste to local council. This is the stinking illegal toxic waste dump which the king's officials last year tried to sell to the council which means they make money and you the taxpayer have to foot the bill to clean it all up which will cost millions and take months. We can now exclusively reveal that that offer was made last July by the king's solicitors in a letter to the council.

[00:10:29]They offered the land at its commercial rate and said they would have to have their expenses covered as well. We've also been talking to the Duchy of Lancaster, the king's officials as well.

[00:10:39]Back in January, they said, "Yes, we agreed to transfer the land last year to the council, but what they never told us was this secret deal to sell the land if possible as well for commercial rates.

[00:10:53]The previous owner went bankrupt. There was nobody to own the land. It automatically gets seeded to the Duchy of Lancaster under ancient medieval laws. Normally, if someone dumps illegal waste on your land, you, the land owner, are liable and responsible for paying for the clear up, however unfair that may be. But in this case, the king's officials and his lawyers and the duchy of Lancaster say, "Mm- we've got a get out clause under these ancient laws that mean people give us this land. We don't have to accept any such responsibility."

[00:11:26]And that's exactly what they told the council. So, where are we now with all this? Well, in a sense, the worst of all worlds for the taxpayer, this issue, this dump became a national news story.

[00:11:37]Central government stepped in and said, "We will pay for the clearup." That means three things. One, the taxpayer is footing the bill to get rid of this muck and it'll take months and cost millions and millions of pounds. Two, so far as we're aware, the king and his officials aren't paying a penny. And three, of course, don't forget the criminals that put this muck here in the first place, right next to a school there and a row of houses just behind me so far have got away with it.

[00:12:07]>> So, while this report isn't getting as much attention, what has been getting a lot of attention during this trip for Charles and Camila is the refusal to meet with victims of Epstein. Now, I've seen so many comments under the posts and articles and videos that sharing the views of politicians and victims who think that Charles should meet with these survivors say, "Well, you know, Charles owes these people nothing. He is not Andrew, so he's not responsible for this." But there's a lot of people who are pushing back in those comment sections to comments like those, saying that Charles knew. And Charles and his mom ponyied up the money to attempt to make the problem go away for Andrew. And even though Charles took away the titles and took away Royal Lodge, he pays for Andrew's security and allows Andrew to live rentree as far as we know in one of his private homes. So yeah, he is in a position of power and he has used some of that power and wealth to try to make the problem go away or minimize it or keep his brother from really experiencing any sort of accountability in a way that a normal person would have to do.

[00:13:16]>> This isn't going to go away. We're not going to remain silent. We will continue speaking out. if he sat on the right side of history, you know, encouraged his brother and Peter Mandelson to volunteer and testify before Congress and tell us what they saw. It doesn't mean it's an admission of guilt. You know, that would show that he's taking action. That would show that he's a powerful king right now. It just seems to me and the others that he's just evading.

[00:13:46]>> We're doing this on the day that King Charles is visiting the capital. Uh I had made a request of King Charles to meet not with me, not with Thomas Massie, not with uh the survivor groups, but the actual survivors. I thought the king owed that to the survivors given uh his brother's uh serious allegations of abuse. And I thought it would have been a incredible moment and statement to show that it doesn't matter how much wealth you have, how much power you have, no human being is dispensable and that the survivors deserve justice. Uh he unfortunately declined uh that uh request.

[00:14:24]>> What do you make of that that King Charles won't meet with his brother's victims? They're here in the building today. Uh >> I think this speaks to what happened when former Agent Bondi refused to meet with the victims. Uh I think it is uh sort of reeks of disdain for what has happened to these women and I I think that leaders of all stripes of all varieties should take the time uh to meet with those who are survivors of these terrible crimes.

[00:14:47]>> Should the king be meeting with Jeffrey Epstein survivors?

[00:14:49]>> Oh certainly. I mean what from what I know the king has been um someone who has paid attention to the interest of the public uh and he certainly knows the involvement that his brother has uh and the implications of the crimes that his brother has been accused of and I think it's certainly important for him to meet with these survivors but to also bear witness uh and to speak out.

[00:15:19]>> Thank you. Can I do one more?

[00:15:20]>> Now, earlier I mentioned Charles getting a standing ovation by some of the Congress members after his speech and a lot of people quickly realized that parts of Charles's speech echoes sentiments that we have heard from Prince Harry before. Now, this article says that King Charles and his son, Prince Harry, may have tension in their relationship, but they share a similar sentiment when it comes down to their world views. Charles gave a historic speech in front of Congress on April 28th where he received rounds of applause throughout his address. At one moment, the reigning monarch urged the US to stay united in its support of Ukraine as a war continues. Prince Harry, for his part, made a rare political comment while visiting Ukraine this month, calling out the American leadership during his speech. I remember in my last video where I was talking about uh statesman versus the spectator, someone in the comment section said that well, you know, Harry is able to give those sorts of speeches and make those sort of statements, but William and Charles are the heir and the monarch, and they're supposed to be neutral. Are they though? Cuz I've seen so many occasions where they're not neutral. And I feel like whenever the heir and the monarch doesn't want to address certain things, that is the line that is given by the press. That is the line that is given by royalists. That's the line given by the palace. We're supposed to be neutral. But then there are occasions where they're not neutral and very vocal like this one. So it's interesting to me when when some of us make the comments to say, you know, Charles and William can do more and they choose not to. And we're told, well, you know, they're not really supposed to do that, but they do.

[00:17:06]So, which is it? Harry made those comments when President Trump made the comments about NATO. Harry made such a very strong and passionate statement in response and you didn't really hear anything from Charles or William. And we were told that they didn't say anything because they're supposed to be neutral.

[00:17:23]But now he's making the statement. Harry went to Ukraine, gave a rousing speech, and the tabloids and the royalists were up in arms saying that he as a royal should never make these sort of statements. Now, Charles is also talking about the Ukrainian Russian war and making those appeals and you're hearing the very same people applauding him. So, it's the double standards for me. If they're neutral, then they're neutral, but they're oftentimes not. It's the same way that the palace talking point, the press talking point and royalist talking point is never complain, never explain, but they do complain and explain. Maybe not directly in the way that Harry does, but they do. So, there's a lot of inconsistencies there.

[00:18:08]Well, I've just read an article where Nikki Swift is uh banging on about derangers who are also banging on about Harry missing Louis birthday.

[00:18:20]So, what's he supposed to do? Rock up to their house and have a little rattat? Do you honestly think they're going to open the door and let him in?

[00:18:34]More to the point, don't Archie and Libert have birthdays as well? Why isn't anybody asking William why he hasn't contacted his niece or his nephew?

[00:18:47]>> Isn't Harry living in America at the moment. Hasn't he left this country?

[00:18:56]Okay.

[00:18:57]Isn't Charlie boy going to visit in the on the same continent? Is he going to see his grandchildren? Has he made arrangements to visit them? Has he even made a request a request? No, he's not. He's made it public knowledge that he won't be going to look for his son.

[00:19:18]But don't worry, you lot harp on about Megan and Harry and don't pay attention to what the real problem is and what's really wrong with the system and what's really wrong with everyone else around.

[00:19:29]Meanwhile, in that same article, Nikki Swift has had the cheek to compare Megan to Fergie, basically saying without saying it, Fergie took all of this. She was ridiculed by the press, blah blah blah blah blah. But she stuck it out. Fergie was desperate. Still is a desperate human being. Screaming, craving attention.

[00:19:55]She's not well.

[00:19:57]Okay.

[00:19:59]I'm sure at one point she said she doesn't uh agree with any type of uh child abuse at all in any way. Well, we've recently found out that that's a lie, isn't it? because she covered and she was a part of and she even begged a certain somebody to marry her even after knowing what a certain somebody enjoyed to do.

[00:20:21]So that's a lie, isn't it?

[00:20:23]But let's be concerned with two people who haven't as far as I'm concerned at the moment of from what to my knowledge broken the law in that respects that to my knowledge they haven't been found with weird things around them.

[00:20:42]They literally got up and left the country that told them they didn't want anything to do with them and they've gone.

[00:20:50]But because she didn't stay and take That's what's really bothering you lot is that she got up and she left.

[00:20:59]She said, "Nah, I live somewhere. I come from somewhere else. I ain't got ain't got to put up with this." Where's Harry for Louis birthday?

[00:21:10]Where's William for Archie and Libbert's birthday?

[00:21:15]Where's Charlie for Harry or Archie or Libbert's birthday?

[00:21:22]H yeah, I really don't understand the logic of some royal fans thinking that Harry's life should revolve around William, Kate, and their children, while they simultaneously celebrate the fact that William and Kate are very cold and distant towards Harry and Megan. And they're often celebrating the articles that state that William can't wait to be king just so that he cannot invite Harry to his coronation and he can take away the titles from Harry, Megan, Archie, and Libet. But at the same time, they expect Harry to be at their beck and call.

[00:21:58]Make it make sense. I love it when Mega Marco haters get into my comment section and they're like, "Racism has nothing to do with the reason I dislike her." Okay.

[00:22:07]And then you have like a snoody white person come out and say the quiet part out loud. This guy wrote an article for the spectator and he literally says, "Harry, leave the Duchess of Sussex an ocean away from a country she will never visit. Put the kids in a decent private school. Find yourself an English rose and come home." Wonder what he means by English Rose. I think you guys know what he means. And like listen, I truly believe that Megan, she could have done everything the same, okay? From he meeting Harry to now. And if she looked like this, and this is Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend, uh, if she was tall and blonde and white, I don't think she nearly would get as much hate as she gets right now. And also, this line where he says, "Put the kids in a decent private school." Is he recommending that Harry like abandon his children?

[00:22:57]I will never get mad at Harry and Megan for doing these horrors, okay? because I feel like it's needed to show people that this media narrative surrounding Harry and especially Megan isn't real.

[00:23:07]Is she polarizing? Sure. But she is not as hated as a lot of this media would have you believe. Because in the leadup to this trip, we were told that she was essentially going to be and feathered. The country didn't want them and they rejected them and it's a brutal snub blah blah blah blah. like the Daily Mail Australia broken embargo leaking details of where they were going to be 5 days before their trip. Like my conspiracy theory is I saw this online so I can't take credit for it, but I truly think that they leaked it to try and drum up hate for Harry and Megan and it didn't work. So, and let's be clear, nobody wants them to do any of the stuff, any of these public facing things because it completely contradicts this image that they are trying to sell to you. It's like gaslighting. It is 100% being gas lit.

[00:23:57]>> Princess Diana was raised to be a lady of leisure. However, she chose to work.

[00:24:01]Harry was born a prince. However, he became a combat veteran, which informs a lot of the work that he does today. So when you see negative headlines about Harry and Megan's work, remember Princess Diana was dealing with it all on her own back in the day.

[00:24:14]>> Surprised at the political furori that developed as a result of your visit to Angola.

[00:24:18]>> I saw it merely as a distraction because I'm not a political figure. I I am a humanitarian figure and always have been and always will be.

[00:24:28]>> There is still a moment now to stop this war to further to prevent further suffering for Ukrainians and Russians alike. Harry and Megan now have years of freedom to support what they want, when they want, how they want. So, not only are they laying the groundwork for their own legacy to be continued while continuing Princess Diana's legacy, they are now in a position to give back monetarily. They're able to show up and do good. And I'm sure that Miss Doria is very proud of them just as Princess Diana would be. I feel like one day a discussion needs to be had about how the British press and the British royal family as well. They act as if Prince Harry is the heir and not Prince William, which just leads me to believe that nobody behind closed doors.

[00:25:12]None of them believe that Prince William can do the job once it's his. Like he's going to need like a buffer of some kind. And I believe that that buffer was supposed to be Prince Harry. Like I truly believe that the setup was supposed to be that William was supposed to be like the like like the at home royal. So like he was supposed to be more local while Prince Harry was supposed to be the one that's supposed to go off and do all these big royal tours. Cuz have we've seen the last big royal tour that him and Kate did was a complete failure. So much of a failure that they haven't done a big tour since then which was in 2022. Which is why when you saw Prince Harry and Megan in Australia um earlier this month, there was all of these terrible reactions to it because they're like that is supposed to be Will and Kate. They're supposed to be pulling in those kind of reactions from people, those kind of crowds and they just don't have it.

[00:26:07]When Megan Sussex says that she has been trolled every day for the past 10 years, this is exactly what she means because the spectator wrote an article and the title was we can still save Prince Harry and the meat of the article is about how they can get Harry away from Megan to marry an English rose. Now, what do you think that means in your mind if you were to say that out loud? To me, it seems pretty these people want Harry to come back without his wife for no other reason that she is American and that she is biracial and that she sometimes sends emails really early in the morning.

[00:26:57]Those are her crimes. And remember that they have a literal PDF file who is being protected by the monarchy right now as we speak. He is being housed and he is being protected by security officers and that is not what they want for Harry and they want him away from his wife. It is disgusting. Now I'm sure a lot of you are aware of the special chocolate collaboration by As ever for Mother's Day. I've been seeing some of the girls have gotten their chocolates.

A few weeks ago, they took a trip to Australia to do their philanthropy work. And these are the type of headlines that have been popping up. My question to them is why? If the trip was a flop, if it was a fail, then why are you talking about it? And then it's just salacious for no reason saying that Harry's interaction with this reporter was disingenuous. Look how simple this interaction was.

[00:29:21]>> Yes, we >> stop spending so much time bringing them down. They have a family now. And guess what? They are relatable because they work unlike the rest of the royal family. So, I just don't understand this, but I hope it stops soon because it's getting ridiculous. And you know what? They could never make me hate Megan Markle. Never. You could tell me that she slapped the queen every single time they met and I would applaud. I would say, "Yeah, and do it again." Mhm.

[00:29:47]Not that she ever would. Even though people want to compare her out to be this like crazy villain, um she would never do that. But like even if she did, I'd say, "Yeah, do it again." I'm I'm not turning my back on Megan because that's my girl.
