Hi everyone, my name is Candy and this is Stuff in Budget. Welcome if you're new and if you're not, welcome back.
Thank you so much for clicking on this video. If you like it, I hope you give it a thumbs up and I definitely hope you subscribe. Today is Mini Monday and it is our last one of May. Let's get into it. [music] All right, you guys. It is Monday. It is actually Memorial Day when you guys are watching this. So, I just wanted to say a quick thank you for those that are living and those that have passed on that have served our country. So, big thank you to you guys out there. My dad was actually in the Navy. He has passed on, but not during his service time. He actually passed away from cancer a long time ago when I was like 6 years old.
But still, thank you to all of those out there that has served our country. Um, let's go ahead and get into our binder.
I can't believe this is actually the last Monday of May. Time is flying. And yes, I have said that probably like a million times this year, but you guys, when I see you guys again next Monday, it is going to be June. Like, what in the world? [laughter] Okay, let's go ahead and count out our money. We have $50 in ones here, which I counted before we started. And then I also have some buyback money. I have 10, 20, 35, 45,50. This is just money that I use to buy back my ones while I am counting up how much we saved for the day so that I don't so that I don't have to go to the bank all the time and get ones out and such and also so my envelopes don't get too big. All right, you guys. We have our geisha cat. This is from MH Finland, PR Money Roll. She is going towards Japan. We do have $2 already in this challenge. I'm just going to put that right here in the back. I have the rest of the money in my envelope, but we couldn't do anything with $2 last time. So, I'm just going to put that there. Hopefully, we can get some more money for that challenge and complete either the six or the nine. We have my May challenge. This is from my shop stash [laughter] stuff and budget of 2.0 that is going towards registration for my Camry.
We've got our cute little apple dumpling challenge. This is from Row Plans and it is going towards my month ahead.
All right. And then we have my squirrel challenge. Oh, not my challenge, but this cute little spring squirrel challenge from Savings Creations Co.
going towards life insurance. Oh, that was month ahead. I was like, wait a minute. Do I have to? But no, we don't.
Stress blessed coffee obsessed. This is from good workmates and it is going towards my van registration. And then I also have all you need is love. Owl. All all you need is love. That's what it's supposed to be. It's kind of like a fun little pun there, but Christmas is that category. All right, you guys. So, here are my six categories. We are just going to roll the dice. Whatever it lands on, we are going to put two bills on that challenge. Okie dokie. So, let's see.
Like I said, we are on the last Monday of May. And let's see, what is today?
I'm filming. Today is Friday. If you guys are doing anything this weekend, over the long weekend, let us know. Or if you did anything over the long weekend, let us know because it is Monday. Like I said, when I am putting this up, what am I talking about, you guys? Of course, it's Monday. It's mini Monday, but it's so hard to keep track of like past tense, pretense when I'm like filming for the future. You guys know what I mean? Those of you that film. But anyways, my kiddos are all out of school. I survived [laughter] the first few days of summer and I did go to like the Dollar Tree and get them some activity books. They had a pretty cool book that was like full of stickers for them to do. And maybe I'll show you guys at the end of the video for any of you guys have who have kiddos that know their numbers. It is a fun kind of activity they can kind of do on their own with um not much help needed. I also bought like different acrylic paints from the Dollar Tree and they have these really cute like trays for the paints and some paint brushes and I got them a couple of little um you know those boards that you paint on. I it's just totally sitting in my mind right now.
But I got them some of those kinds of things just to keep them busy. I already have a play date with one of the moms from Kora's uh school coming up next week. So, it should be it should be pretty fun. I'm looking forward to that.
I know she's going to be excited. But anyways, that is what I'm doing. I one of my friends, she films like these Tik Tok videos on how to do sourdough bread.
And you guys, why did I go down that rabbit hole? Why did I even like start watching all these videos of people making these sourdough loaves and the whole process of it? Let me know in the comments. Are any of you guys currently watching those videos or making sourdough bread yourselves? Please let me know in the comments because I went down the sourdough rabbit hole and now I'm googling like all this stuff on like how to do how to make the starter. I've been watching all these different videos on it and I really want to try my hand at baking a sourdough loaf, particularly the jalapeno cheese loaf. It looks so delicious. I know there's a lot of fails that go on with sourdough bread making, but I feel pretty confident that I could do it, you guys. [laughter] And it might just be that like challenge in me or like I'm like a I like the challenge of something and so like I really want to make it. But the bad thing, and I'm totally like being honest with you guys, the bad thing about me is that I like tend to want to do something 100% and then I'll get all the things needed and then I'll do it once and if I succeed then I'm kind of just like, [laughter] I don't want to do that anymore. I did that like with cake decorating. I got super into it. I bought all the stuff. I think I made two cakes and then that was it. That was a long time ago. But anyways, I hope that wouldn't happen to me with this because I'm a bread person.
I love bread and I just think it would be fun to like bake. Might not be the right timing cuz it's summer time, but I don't know. We'll see. Sorry about that whole rant on sourdough bread making, but please let me know in the comments again [clears throat] if you know what I'm talking about. All right, let's see what we need for this challenge. Each little footprint there of this owl is $2. 1 2 3 4 five 6 7 8 9 10. Put that back for a 10. And then $12. So we are going to cross off each little uh footprint is $2. So we are going to cross off 6 ft. 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 * 2 is 12. All right. And then we currently have $2 in there. So now we have 10 11 12 13. There we go. $14. That one was hiding.
Also, you guys, I think I jinxed myself with that air conditioning challenge.
Did I finish that? I don't know if it's in here. No, it's not in here. But I think I jinxed myself because the air conditioner at my mom's went out [laughter] and luckily it hasn't been that hot. I think like today is supposed to be 80.
But still, you guys, I do not do well in the heat. And so I'm just hoping that the guy can come and fix it and get it taken care of because yeah, heat is not my friend. I know this week, I think Tuesday, Wednesday is supposed to be pretty cool, but uh I'm just glad we're like not in the hundreds. Okay, here is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. Okay, $10 exactly for this guy. We are going to cross off the two fours and then a two. I like to do the big ones first just to get them out of the way. But here is 10, 15, 20, $25.
So yeah, you guys totally jinxed myself with the AC. [laughter] All right. And for some reason, I'm just really thirsty right now. 1 2 3 4 $4 for our little squirrel challenge. Let's go ahead and color in four acorns because each acorn is worth a dollar.
Okay, there we go. $4 and let's see. We should have what is that? $6. 1 2 3 4 five and $6 in this challenge. Super cute.
All right. I'm like craving like a just a really good refreshing drink like a slurpee or something. And I drink like 99% of what I drink is water. I do have coffee. Not every morning, but I do enjoy a cup of coffee here and there, but I'm just really thirsty for something other than water. Okay, here's 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 eight. So $8. All right, we can do the six and the two ones for eight. So, let me grab my pen.
All right, you guys. There we go. Let's see how much we have in here. Al together, it should be 45 cuz our last apple is $5 and the total here is 50.
So, we should have $45 in here. All right. Here's 10, 20, 30, 5. Oops.
Here's 40. I'm going to trade that back for a 10. So, there's 40. 1 2 3 4 5. All right, let's put that back for $5.

All right, you guys. So, I kind of said a lot in this video, right? A little chit cchaty.
Sorry about that. All right, we need 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 $12. I don't think I have it. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 $8. Okay, we have $8. I'm going to cross off the five, a two, and a one.
So, we only need $3 to complete this.
And that's okay. Even though May is over, we'll probably complete that next week. And then I can bring in my June challenge. Here is 5 10 15 20 21 22 23 24. All right, 24. We need $6 to complete this, actually. Oh, there's a two right here on the branch. So, yeah, $6. I hope I don't miss that next time.
I won't because when I count it up, it should be 30. All right, you guys. Our last one is our geisha cat. Let's see. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. And then we need one more for nine. I'm going to just borrow or cheat or steal or whatever you guys want to call it, but I'm going to steal a dollar so we can cross off that high one right there. So nine is going to get crossed off. And that's okay if you guys are watching and you guys are wondering about how to play. You can do whatever you want. That's what I do.
Okay, let's count this up. We have 10 25 30 1 2 3 4 5. So 35 36 37 38 39 40 4142. So $42.
Wait, let's see. 10 25 35 41 and 2 $42.
Did I do something wrong? Because 42 + 6 is only 48. Oh, never mind. I was thinking this was a $50 challenge, but it doesn't even say that. It was just me assuming that. So, stop assuming things, Candy. Like, whatever.
All right, you guys. I guess I'm a little delirious. I am delirious from the heat. Okay, so don't mind me. Don't mind my little chit cchaty video here.
