Is Dallas a magnet for restaurant chains? #dallasrestaurants本站添加:
Why does Dallas get everything? A national media [music] company called Morning Brew asked that question earlier this year. Now, I have to stop them right there. Dallas doesn't have everything. We don't have mountains. We don't have beaches. But, if we're talking restaurants, yeah, Dallas has almost everything. Actually, Dallas entices more >> [music] >> national restaurant brands than other Texas cities do. When In-N-Out came to Texas, it started in DFW.
>> [music] >> So did Portillo's and Dave's Hot Chicken and Catch Seafood and Carbone.
More recently popular brands like Salt & Straw Ice Cream, Pop Up Bagels, [music] and even the flashy supper club Delilah made a move to Texas and then picked Dallas specifically. But, why?
Why is Dallas the Texas capital for chain restaurants? According to the Texas Restaurant Association, Dallas is the most desirable big city in Texas [music] for a growing restaurant. The president and CEO gave lots of reasons.
The suburbs are key.
>> [music] >> We look at Dallas-Fort Worth like a bull's-eye.
If a restaurant like Prince Street Pizza [music] wants to expand here, it can start in Dallas and then expand outward in rings to Collin County and Tarrant County. There's also the logistics factor. [music] North Texas has two major airports, making travel easier for executives and suppliers.
Of course, >> [music] >> we have many great restaurants that were created right here in Dallas. But, we have just as many from out of state who want in. The Read about [music] why each of these restaurants picked Dallas at the link in the bio and find more food news at dallasnews.com.
