Unlike most commodities that are priced entirely on the spot market, uranium has a unique market structure where producers can secure long-term contracts with investment-grade buyers that specify both price and terms, providing greater cash flow certainty and potentially lowering the cost of capital for uranium companies.

Uranium Isn’t Priced Like Other MetalsAdded:
This is the biggest change that's taken place in any commodity market in my lifetime. Every other commodity on the planet, you're a slave to the spot market. And uranium equities are still priced off the spot market, which is horrifically stupid. The structure of the uranium market means the transactions that take place in the term market. Standard uranium in production will, if they would like, be able to lock in long-term supply agreements with investment grade counterparties that unlike any other commodity in the world specify the price and terms that they're able to sell their product on. That means that a lazy old lender, let's say Rick Rule, can look at that cash flow statement with more certainty. That will result in a lower cost of capital. Lazy equity analysts don't need to do their own price forecast because they can see it spelled out in the contract.
