For natural home management of spinal disc injuries, the primary approaches include applying ice packs (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off), staying hydrated to reduce systemic inflammation, taking anti-inflammatory supplements such as fish oil, turmeric, curcumin, and Indian frankincense, and resting to reduce pressure on the affected discs; acute disc injuries typically resolve within a few weeks, and if symptoms persist beyond this period or are severe, professional medical care should be sought.

Natural Ways to Relieve a Disc Injury at Home本站添加:
I want to spend a minute and talk about some natural approaches to helping your spinal discs when they're injured. If you've injured a disc in your spine and you're looking to try to get some relief, it can be extremely painful.
Having spinal disc injuries can be crippling. Can lay you out on the couch or a bed and it's a miserable place to be.
The best approach in those initial stages of a disc injury is what we're trying to do is reduce inflammation. The natural ways to reduce inflammation would be an ice pack. 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, do a few cycles of ice on the area that's affected. Drinking plenty of water, flushing your system out, trying to get rid of some systemic inflammation can also help with that inflammation. Now, we're talking about natural things. So, in terms of the natural realm, when it comes to supplementation, fish oils, turmeric, curcumin, Indian frankincense, these are all amazing ways to help reduce, again, continue to reduce the inflammation.
Resting can be huge. Getting the weight off your discs, letting yourself rest, lay down, find a comfortable position and just kind of take it easy until the pain alleviates. Those are the biggest ways to help yourself naturally at home from disc damage.
Now, the traditional, if you go to an urgent care, what you're going to get handed is prednisone or you're going to be referred to an ortho, pain management. They're going to maybe even suggest getting a cortisone shot, something like that. Now, there are some better options that I'm going to talk about in a future video, but try the natural things first. Try the fish oils, try the rest, try drinking water and in a few days it should get alleviated.
Now, a typical acute injury shouldn't last for more than a few weeks or if it does last more than that period of time, it's now chronic and at that point, it's probably time to start seeking some help. And even if it's severe enough, even if it's just been a couple days, if you've had that, you find me someone that can help me with this. So, I use those tips.
Hopefully your spine's doing great, but if not, if you have a friend or family member that's suffering from some sort of disc problem, then hopefully you can pass this on and allow them to get some relief and help at least take care of the immediate symptoms until you seek maybe more professional help.
