Now, the DHS actually made that decision due to the ongoing Ebola outbreak. So, anybody that has been traveling to those countries over the last 21 days have to be screened at Dallas. Now, Ebola can be severe and even fatal. The virus actually spreads through direct contact with bodily fluids. Now, health officials say that at least 130 people have died from this current Ebola outbreak. However, the CDC says that there are no confirmed cases of Ebola in the US so far, but the screening process is going to remain in place until further notice.
