[00:00:08]Here we have 2026 GCE science paper 1 predictions. And the person who is predicting this paper is Mr. Distinctions. Please, please, please, if you really want to minimize the challenges of science paper one, which is physics, if you are writing the 226 GCE, I want you to pay particular attention. Like I've been telling you always, we do not just wake up and then I just come up with topics anyhow. No, no, that is not how we do predictions.

[00:00:40][music] We gather different past papers and see the pattern on how the ECZ have been preparing the questions. And that is when now we predict to say okay according to the pattern this year they might bring these questions. All right.

[00:00:54]And so please take this prediction seriously. Take this prediction seriously. I repeat make sure to take note of all the topics as well as the subtopics that I'll be mentioning. I've put some examples of the questions that I want you to be concentrating on on each topic and subtopics. All right.

[00:01:51]Let's see the first topic and the things that you supposed to consider. The first topic that I want you to study right as you are preparing for physics science paper one is the general physics and this is the introduction of physics.

[00:02:06]But now under this topic, all right, under this topic, I want you to consider the simple pendulum. Number two, I want you to consider the micrometer screw gauge. Number three, I want you to consider the vener calipers. All right, these are some of the questions which and most of these questions I got them from GCE past papers, not uh school certificate because I know that you'll be writing GCE. So there's no need of me getting questions from school certificate past papers. No, I was looking at the pattern of GCE exams. So this these are some of the questions when talk of micrometer screw gauge.

[00:02:44]These are some of the question that you're supposed to expect. Yeah. When you check that is 2.5 GC, you are going to find there micrometer screw gauge and vocal pass there. So make sure you master the the the parts and functions of these two objects as well as knowing them. I mean knowing how to read them.

[00:03:10]Then the other key subtopic that I want you to look at under general physics. I want you to look at velocity I mean speed velocity as well as acceleration time graphs. Please it is just that I didn't integrate uh the question here. Why? Because I had a small space but they bring these questions. they bring. I hope you've been seeing my time graphs right please make sure you do well by understanding the basic concepts of the time graphs right very very important then number three under this topic I want you also to consider this okay simple machines force work energy and power as you can see here this is a question which I just got from one of uh the papers GCE papers of course showing the simple m machine right one of the simple machines and as you can see the first question here they're asking you to define a simple machine so just from the definition itself understand the topic deal with force deal with deal with work in fact I have recorded some I've recorded some p videos video lessons so to say explaining some of these things And to access those videos, you just pay a fifth quarter. I want you to look at waves and under waves make sure that you understand the definitions that are involved and under the definitions I want you to know how to define transverse waves longitudinal waves amplitude.

[00:06:26]The question was was asking to define what a wavelength is. Imagine just a just a definition and there was a question which where I saw they were asking about you defining amplitude.

[00:06:45]In fact, even the examples, even the examples, please, I beg you, make sure you go through this. Also, I want you to look at the properties of waves. And by properties, I mean the characteristics, right? I want you to look at sound and examples of sound waves. Very very important. And how the waves move. Okay?

[00:07:08]There was a question which I didn't integrate here where you are given something like this and then we have refractions compressions. Please make sure you because that is under sound waves. Make sure you understand you understand fully those concepts. All right. I also want you to look at transverse waves. And by transverse waves I want you to concentrate much on what? On graphs. Okay. As you can see here, I want you to understand these graphs to say the distance from there to there is an amplitude. The distance from there to there mean the height from here to there that is an amplitude. From there to there that is what that is a wavelength. And by that you can even define what a wavelength is. If you just understand uh this then it means you are good to go. Right? If you just understand this the graphs you are good to go. Most importantly, this is what I forgot. Please make sure to understand light and under light, I want you to understand refraction and refraction.

Then they start they going to start give asking you questions under look at the critical angle. Right? All right, look at Ohm's law. Most of you underestimate Ohm's law. But here's a question telling you to state Ohm's law.

[00:10:20]Make sure you go through the electric circuit. I want you to understand electrical power. know the formula which are involved as well as the calculations right most importantly I don't know most of you do not consider this subtopic which is the cost of electrical energy here there are calculations where you are asked to calculate the I mean the energy right and the cost of electrical energy and these questions carry a lot of marks carry a lot of marks it is that I didn't integrate because of the space which is not enough here But check in the papers you're going to find to say they bring questions under this subtopic. All right. I want you also to understand the structure of the plug. I don't know why I forgot to put it here but I was supposed to put it the parts and the functions of the three pin plug. I hope that is very common because we mostly use it in our homes. Well, having done that, let me show you now the fourth topic. Please pay particular attention to this one. Pay particular attention to this one. The fourth topic which I want you to consider is magnetism. This topic is very very very important. Very very very important. And under this topic as you can see I want you to look at these magnetic materials iron and steel. By looking at them I mean you need to know the differences how they retain properties magnetic properties very very very important. Look at electromagnetic induction making electricity using what magnet right make sure to understand how to allocate how to identify the direction of the current produced which is the same as induced right I hope you I don't know if you've studied this topic but please study you talk of the right hand rule make sure you because that is the questions those are the questions that they bring in section A where you have multiple choice questions. I don't know think they have been asking this question. This is a neutral point in case they I mean it comes also in your paper. This is a neutral point. [00:14:21]Please if you haven't gotten anything I want you to get this topic which is the fourth topic okay this topic is very very important and I don't know why most of the students find it difficult to understand this topic mean it is one of the simplest topics this is no other than introduction to what electronics and according to the syllabus you just look at an electron and the T R O cathode ray or slowcope I'm telling you uh this question check try to check questions like this in different papers you're going to find to say there are a lot where they just bring the structure of the CR O and then they'll tell you to start now explaining to start stating the parts and give the functions all right please if there are some topics that you can prioritize Guys, prioritize the topics that I've given you and I know the reason why I'm giving you these topics.

This topic is very and whether you like this is the last topic that I was talking about. Whether you like it or not, this topic is going to be there in your exam. Atomic physics, check in different different past papers. If you find a past paper, there's no atomic physics. Just know that you're not talking about it. Maybe that paper is just from somewhere, not from Zambia. Yeah. Maybe it is a certain organization just different from the ECZ who prepared that paper. All atomic physics is there. But now under atomic physics, what is it that you are supposed to concentrate on? Number one, make sure you familiarize yourself.

[00:16:30]Okay, you understand the composition of an atom and the definitions involved there. I stops. I know that you you learn this also in chemistry. So this is not an issue. Right? Now look at radioactivity and by that I mean you understand the types of radiations and the characteristics as you can see these questions this question have you seen if you start considering this question you're going to find to say the question that they asking they're asking about the what the types of radiations Z Y and X so you need to understand these because these are the question if they just bring this diagram just know that that is what we are going to start talking about understand the decays how to write alpha decay how to write the equations for of alpha decay beta decay as well as gamma gamma decays and this is what I'm talking about this is what I'm talking about imagine three marks two marks the way we pass you pass by gathering marks all right you get two marks you get three marks there one mark half you are gathering up marks and you are passing So you considering this if you underestimate this it means you are subtracting your max right please look at half life and here know how to calculate half lives and also the graphs right this is supposed to be graphs not fs make sure that you know how to plot graphs how to plot graphs and in fact one of the things that is simple among uh for me one of the thing that are simple among this topic plotting graphs you find that when talk of a half life graph always it goes like so know how to plot the graphs finally I don't know why you don't yeah you'd find that there are a lot of questions under fusion and fusions but they do not teach mostly look at fusion and fusion nuclear fusion and nuclear fusion know the differences and know how they occur. Okay, as you can see this question, this question carried 10 marks and it came in section C. Define nuclear fusion.
