Yellow Leaves at the Top of Your Plant Means You Have a ProblemAdded:
Yellow leaves at the bottom of your plant. Normal yellow leaves at the top, you have a problem. Makes sense to panic at any yellow leaf. Nobody told you location was the entire diagnosis.
Bottom yellowing is age. The plant is shedding old growth to fuel new growth.
Top yellowing is a nutrient deficiency, usually iron or nitrogen, locked out by overwatering or compacted soil. Check the soil first. Bone dry or swampy? Fix the watering. Still yellow after two weeks? Flush the pot with water. Then feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. New leaves yellow means roots in trouble. Act now.
