Why Did ONDO Just Surge 75%? | Big Partnership Update!Added:
Welcome back to the channel, guys. My name is Gordon. We are back with another video. Today, we're talking about the tokenization of real-world assets using Ondo Finance. We just saw that rip over 70%. We're going to dive into it, break it down, what's been happening. Heading straight into it and looking at that price action surge that I just referenced, Ondo has been on a rip here in the month of May thus far. It built a really nice base here with price action essentially consolidating between about 24 and 29-30 cents before getting a breakout here by the 3rd and 4th of May, and over the past week or so having a really strong rally here to the upside.
We're going to talk about the reasons for that in just a moment, but even if we just go back to the 1st of May, this rally saw Ondo make a move that is actually about 80 to 85% plus to the peak here. We're still up about 62% from the 1st of May. So, this has been a phenomenal rally for the price of Ondo. Now, we are still a far cry away from previous all-time highs.
Zooming out on the chart here just for a moment to the weekly, we can see that we've got a lot of work to do to get back up to these $2 previous all-time highs, but with a lot of the fundamentals happening under the hood and Ondo focusing in on the tokenization of real-world assets, especially with Ondo Global Markets and everything they're doing with tokenized stocks, I do think we could have a very promising future for this protocol. Okay? All we have to do is jump over to rwa.xyz and look at the amount of tokenized stocks and the growth in this particular niche over the past year. We've gone from two or 300 million dollars of tokenized stocks to over 1.3 billion dollars of tokenized stocks today. 34% increase in the past 30 days alone. And look what happens if we scroll down here, we can see that Ondo is making up the vast majority of the tokenized stocks on blockchain technology. It's actually comprising over 818 million of that 1.36 billion. And this is pointing to something that I referenced in a couple of videos previously, which is Ondo is becoming the de facto choice for institutional capital to tokenize real world assets on blockchain technology.
And XOKS is putting up a fight here for retail investors, but the sheer amount of value that has been tokenized on Ondo is more than double that of XOKS here, and they've taken the lead in terms of tokenization of real world stocks on blockchain technology. It's going to be exciting to see how these two companies continue to battle it out here in this particular realm, but all of the stuff happening with Ondo Global Markets, and you can check it out at ondo.finance/global markets, is phenomenal. You actually now have the ability to go and build a fully self-custody stock portfolio in your crypto wallet using these tokenized stocks. They've got hundreds of assets and indexes available. You can be building a portfolio with your favorite tech stocks, Nvidia, Tesla, Amazon, AMD, SoFi, Apple, many, many more, as well as indexes, and so on and so forth. You have the ability to literally build a stock portfolio in your crypto wallet.
This is the present and future of tokenized real world assets on chain.

The appraisal portal is now live with users being able to test it out. All you have to do is click on enter app, create an account, or sign in with your existing Google account. And this is exactly what I was referencing here with Resi. The power of tokenized real estate and their pricing oracle allows you to compare and contrast the price and get an accurate appraisal for your property.
Okay, I've taken one example here from Zillow where there's an apartment listed in Brooklyn for 1.495 million dollars.
The Resi estimate is actually saying it's worth closer to 1.7 million. So, this is how use cases are born out of the pricing article, not just for real estate firms, but also for individual property and household owners. You now have the ability to get a more accurate price for your property, truly understand the worth and the value of that property, and then this opens up a whole bunch of potential use cases for taking HELOCs, refinancing, etc., etc. And this is the market that Resi are going after. Jumping back to Ondo and the power of building that stock portfolio in your own self-custody wallet, part of the reason for this price action over the past week or two is thanks to the fact that Ondo have actually been accepted into the DTCC tokenization working group. A select number of companies and corporations being accepted into this working group means that they are testing and having a say in the future of how US tokenized stocks actually get rolled out. They are becoming and solidifying themselves as a key player, um, having done some cross-border payment testing using tokenized US Treasuries with JP Morgan, MasterCard, and Ripple in the past week or two. And the price action running up on the back of this because it seems like Ondo is going to continue to be one of the key players in this niche and narrative of real-world asset tokenization, especially in the United States. I've made tons of videos about Ondo, their partnership with BlackRock, obviously very prominent, and helping to tokenize assets on their BUIDL fund in the form of US Treasuries. Again, we can reference that over on rwa.xyz by coming into US Treasuries and looking at the growth of the BlackRock BUIDL fund and the amount of assets over 2.9 billion dollars once again have been tokenized on Ondo related to US Treasuries. So, Ondo are continuing to push the boundaries here, really trying to ensure that they are the leader in the tokenization space. And I do think we could see price action continuing higher if the fundamentals continue to be strong and they're building out those partnerships and continuing to put their best foot forward. So, we're back at 42 cents. Yes, there is a little bit of resistance here on the chart as we can see in that area around 46 where we got rejected all the way back in January. If we can reclaim that level, I think it gives permission for Ondo to then move on to retest the 70 cents level. And from there, we would have to continue with momentum to get back up and reclaim the $1 mark. So, still plenty of work for Ondo to do to get anywhere close to all-time highs, but the fundamentals and the news coming out with being accepted into that DC CC working group obviously being digested by the market in a very positive manner. And again, for me and for others as retail investors, the power of being able to build your own tokenized stock portfolio in a self-custody manner with no KYC is very, very powerful. So, taking back control of your finances, taking the ability to build an entire stock portfolio with your crypto wallet is what Ondo are enabling.
