Two, deep pain in your calf or cramp that doesn't go away even when you're resting. Three, skin that is warm, red, or discolored even over the painful area. Four, hard rope-like vein or cord you can feel just beneath the skin. Five, the most dangerous one. Sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, that means the clot has already moved to your lungs.
