[00:00:20]Um so right now there's not any There's currently no viable Nintendo Direct rumors. However, there are some things lining up. For starters, the Chinese socials for Orbitals, a Switch 2 exclusive, is getting a release date reveal very soon. They said something similar back in February right before a partner direct featuring um their game.

[00:00:41]Uh Necro Felipe and Attack the Backlog have both teased publicly that they've heard about something with a third-party game and Switch 2 possibly being shown next week. Setting aside that, Furukawa during the financial stated they have a robust lineup for the second part of the fiscal year that runs through March. And now Elden Ring is being listed with a July 10th release date in Canada. Of course, it's possible none of this has to do with a direct. But what are your guys' thoughts?

[00:01:15]It's weird because okay, this time of year is usually when we start to get rumors for like a June Direct or whatever and it hasn't happened. Um Nintendo's been very weird.

[00:01:25]Like no no general direct earlier this year, bunch of smaller directs plus the partner showcase.

[00:01:30]Um it it it's interesting only in so much that there are usually something around the corner and this is a very different Nintendo now. We don't really know what they're doing. They've been They've been messing around lately. They've been releasing stuff randomly. Starfox direct happens like five minutes later.

[00:01:51]Uh crap randomly gets announced on like the Nintendo Today app, right? Um, perhaps they're trying to condition all of y'all to stop theorizing about a direct cuz anything could happen at any point in time.

[00:02:05]>> [laughter] >> Uh, if I was Nintendo, I I would probably want to train my customers to think that.

[00:02:12]Yeah, I always say I always say there's no rules with Nintendo and they're the first to throw curveball where it's like, oh the industry Nintendo industry pattern maybe not so much this time, you know?

[00:02:27]So, I don't know. It expect the unexpected with them. I feel like you can never really get too comfortable with uh how how they're announcing things or or timing things, but has been a little bit of a drought when you exclude these kind of like shadow drops.

[00:02:44]Are Are you guys feeling something's coming soon? Do you think we're going to wait till September? Could it be another one of those where we where we wait till September and it just blows out Zelda anniversary? Because the Zelda had had its big 40th this year and we're still kind of waiting for Nintendo to acknowledge and kind of make those announcements.

[00:03:38]You know, once we're past submission, it's like, oh my god, great. When are we releasing it? We don't want to like hold on to it forever, right? Um, but it's like, ah damn, like there's Yoshi that week and then there's like double 07 right after and then yeah, Summer Games Fest I'm sure is going to have like a bunch of crap like Shadow dropping and everything.

[00:04:32]>> [laughter] >> That's the That's the crazy thing about this year is that with It's been such a weird year, I feel like because of Grand Theft Auto. We have so many games that just have that 2026 placeholder still, and I feel like so many teams are just waiting to I mean, eventually, you got to you got to announce your release date because like all these people are just waiting to see what's going to happen with Grand Theft Auto. No one wants to get No one wants to be anywhere near that. Yeah, that left such a big window for us when we're going to release on October 31st, >> [laughter] >> and dread couldn't do it.

[00:05:11]Yeah, this the second half of the year You know, I keep I keep an Excel sheet for all the games that of course I want to cover. I have to. And I'm constantly updating and putting notes in there and adding games.

[00:05:25]Moving dates around when they move. And Yeah, it's it's barren.

[00:05:32]You know, just looking at it at a glance, May May has the amount of games that I have on my list is 29.

[00:05:47]Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Switch 2, Adventures of Aetheria, and Star Fox.

[00:05:55]July, High on Life 2, and Assassin's Creed Black Flag.

[00:06:01]There's like nothing, and then it just keeps it continues.

[00:06:05]Yeah.

[00:06:06]So, obviously, Game Fest is going to be a big one.

[00:06:10]I mean, I know things, but obviously, I can't say. I'm sure we're also just in a natural lull on account of like what happens when you need to launch a new console, right? All of their first-party teams have all of their games out. I think, like for the most part anyways. And so, now all of those teams, right? Have to like start a new project, and we fill in the gaps with stuff like Yoshi, cuz that's made by Good-Feel. Uh I assume this new one is also. I actually don't know.

[00:06:39]Um or Star Fox, which I'm pretty sure isn't being made in-house either. Um so, you know, it happens. Isn't this always the case? Like a year after a Nintendo console launches?

[00:06:51]This is for I mean, this is for everything now. It's for PS5, Xbox. It's just it's the second half of the year is is barren. There's a lot of They got They got other problems.

[00:07:02]Sony put all their eggs in the live-service basket, and I don't know what happened to them. Those are Those are other issues.

[00:07:15]We'll do it, but only when it's like retro and nostalgic and not cool anymore.

Are you leaning towards if you had if you had to if you're a betting man, are you leaning towards third-party partner showcase type deal or mini direct or full-fledged the the the full-on the the whole enchilada that everyone's been waiting for. Well, we're we're due for a general direct. Yeah. You know, we're we're due for an update on a lot of things.

[00:08:13]But again, what what does the rest of the calendar look like for Nintendo?

[00:08:18]Uh yeah, I look back at the the ratings board.

[00:08:28]But we we got games like Guardians of the Galaxy Diablo 4 Devil May Cry 5 which I know some things.

[00:08:44]That was just announced. Uh you got Sonic Frontiers definitive edition is Sonic's 35th anniversary.

[00:08:52]Uh Hi-Fi Rush, that's another one.

[00:08:56]Of course, Dragon Quest Got Dragon Quest day May 27th.

[00:09:02]New game being announced that day. Yeah, there's going to be more than one thing announced. Yep.

[00:09:07]Uh and then Dragon Quest 11 Switch 2 edition was rated.

[00:09:15]And there's just there's a lot of things going on around that time frame along with Summer Game Fest.

[00:09:24]Uh again there's things I can't talk about, but I feel really good about it.

[00:09:34]You see, Nintendo's on such a weird kick lately about when they're going to announce things.

[00:09:40]I wouldn't I almost wouldn't even be surprised if this is the first year Nintendo throws a bone to Summer Game Fest and has a game there.

[00:09:47]Just one. Don't think it'd be anything more than that, but um cuz Nintendo's just doing weird things.

[00:09:56]But in terms of a Direct, look, I think a partner showcase is always on the table all the time. I mean, the partners love the Directs. I you know, Yaco Games has been in Directs in the past with Indie Worlds and stuff.

[00:10:08]So like, you know, the these things are big boosts and help market these these third-party games. So like, I definitely think, you know, Directs we've already had a partner Direct this year. I think another one's coming. I think there's a lot of partner games, you know, we don't have release dates for um or not even announced, but we know cuz the ratings boards that that are coming.

[00:10:26]You know, you have Nintendo as well.

[00:10:29]Uh if if you want to lean towards there being a general Direct, it would be it would basically be just be Furukawa telling you, "Hey, we have a really robust second half of this fiscal year lineup and we don't have any idea what any of those games are." Like, none of them are announced besides maybe Dustborns and Fire Emblem.

[00:10:47]But there's 6 months and Nintendo usually has a game per month average. So it's like, "Well, there's four games then that we really we don't know anything about at all."

[00:10:57]Um so it it's interesting cuz I also looked at Furukawa's, you know, when he projected like 16 and a half million Switch 2s. Um you know, I know that's that's down from what they did in the first year, but you know, the launch hype and the overstocking at launch and all of that. So I think you're only getting the 16 million plus if you have, especially when you're raising the price, if you have a really killer lineup. Like, at least two bangers out of those in those 6 months that everyone's just I need to buy a Switch 2 to play this. I need to.

[00:11:28]Um and I don't know what those are. I mean, you know, Ocarina of Time remake is the the popular rumor out there, but I think there's even something beyond that. Is Is Is Wind Waker and Waves landing in March?

[00:11:37]Is it 3D Mario that they they hate said is next year? Is it you know, a lot Nintendo has a lot of their IPs. Like I know Alec earlier was saying how, you know, a lot of the first-parties kind of went It's interesting because outside of um We haven't We haven't I don't think we've had a first-party internally developed game published by Nintendo for Switch 2 as an exclusive since Dragon Drive.

[00:12:01]It was Kirby Air Riders and um which was third-party uh and Age of Imprisonment which was third-party. Those were exclusive. Uh Mario Tennis Fever, that was made by Camelot, third-party.

[00:12:14]Um Yoshi is probably made by Good-Feel.

[00:12:17]Um and then you got obviously Pikmin 3 that was made by a third-party.

[00:12:21]So like they've been very reliant on their partners this gen, which is really weird for Nintendo. Like to Alex's point, Nintendo usually comes out the gate firing. They usually have a really strong their first-parties are going hardcore the first couple years and we haven't We haven't really seen them do that. So that to me tells me that they have a lot and they're just planning out what they think is the best strategy to release it and you know, just like Alex was talking about with Mina. Like trying to find the right slot to release things. You know, Nintendo thinks about that stuff too. All these companies do. Try to find the right time to put things out. You know, the only company that probably doesn't care at all is well, probably Rockstar cuz they just don't give a crap. Whenever they drop their game, it's going to sell.

[00:13:00]But even they have it technically slated right now to be there right heading into Black Friday weekend. So even they think, you know, hey, we want to take advantage of the holidays if we're going to assuming [laughter] there's no more delays. Um it's the best time slot. I mean, it is, yeah. You're You're You're right when people are going to be spending the most money. I mean you know, you you want to be there. You Consoles get discounted. Get that. Pick up GTA.

[00:13:22]Yeah, it's you know, it's a it's a great time to release it. So um but yeah, I I I think that Nintendo has thought carefully about this lineup.

[00:13:31]Um, you know, I I I would argue Nintendo usually averages about two system sellers a year, and they pulled that off in the first year of Switch, two already. We had Mario Kart and Pokkén Tournament.

[00:13:42]You argue Donkey Kong if you want, but it doesn't seem to have the same legs, but hey, we there's at least Pokkén Tournament and Mario Kart that are legitimate system sellers, and we don't know any of this That That's the thing that's weird is we're heading into year two, and we don't know any of the system selling games yet. We know about a lot of what should be good games, like Fortune Street and Splatoon 2 Raiders, but nothing that's, you know, their main core huge selling franchise. Even Fire Emblem, like, okay, yeah, well, Fire Emblem >> system seller. But it will be a great But it's going to be a great game.

[00:14:11]>> it will be a great game. Yeah, should be should be. For sure. Just like Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Yeah, just like anything that should be great, yeah.

[00:14:19]So, >> system seller. Fire Emblem Awakening was. That was a big boost for the 3DS.

[00:14:24]Yeah. Awakening was That was That was a special time because I I don't It's It's not often Nintendo comes out and says, "Hey, if this game doesn't sell well, we're not making any more."

[00:14:35]>> [laughter] >> It's a pretty big motivator for anyone who's ever liked Fire Emblem to pick up Awakening. We don't care if you like it, just pick it up if you want the series to >> [laughter] >> continue.

[00:14:49]Yeah, they dropped out >> doing that with Metroid. You guys don't buy this game, we're just never making Metroid again. Or cancel playing the next 3DS Zelda game if you don't buy Ocarina of Time remake. It is what it is. I think often times fans read into that too literally. That's the case with every game. If it doesn't sell, you're not going to make more of them.

[00:15:10]>> obvious. Right. Yeah, but it was so wild back then with the Awakening. Nintendo literally just comes out right before the game launches. By the way, it's out next week. You don't buy it, we're not making any more. Like, wait wait what?

[00:15:21]Fire Emblem's been around a while. What do you mean you're just you're done?

[00:15:24]I mean it did work.

[00:15:25]I remember that game I remember that game was sold out.

[00:15:29]Did 3DS even have an eShop yet at that point?

[00:15:33]Yeah, it did. At the time it did, yeah.

[00:15:35]Uh well, screw that. I was getting it physical, but they're all sold out. I had to buy it on Craigslist from a guy in Watts. That's scary. For those not familiar with LA geography, I got on my bike and rode like 15 mi to go buy this game from some dude on his porch.

[00:15:52]Bro, it's like the creepy merchant from Resident Evil 4 with the trench coat.

[00:15:56]What're you buying? He was like, "Why are you so sweaty?" And I'm like, "I biked here. I don't have a car."

[00:16:09]Nintendo's been doing directs more often just in terms of having some sort of direct of any type happening than they have in the past. They've just been going away from the big ones.

[00:16:18]Um but Nintendo's been having this different marketing strategy with like Nintendo today and and the shadow drops.

[00:16:25]Um this whole surprise and delight stuff that Kit and Krysta talk about a lot.

[00:16:29]Um I mean, I I think it was Kit and Krysta today. Was it today that it was a clip or yesterday there was a clip where they came out and they said that they they feel Nintendo is so pissed over Star Fox that they legitimately might just never do a general direct again.

[00:16:46]And I'm like, "Damn."

[00:16:47]Are they actually like that petty? Like they could games leak forever.

[00:16:51]I don't I feel like I feel Yeah, I feel there's a whole business side to it, you know, and and how to how to market and take care of your IP. I can't imagine a company like Nintendo being so flustered over a game leak that were they're just like, "We're never doing directs again."

[00:17:13]Screw it. You know, stuff leaks all the all the all the time. They don't make it's emotional responses. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:17:21]I think it's more it's probably just going to make make them a much more secretive company if anything or re-evaluate, you know, how things operate behind the scenes, you know, to ensure this sort of stuff.

[00:17:38]I don't know. It it I mean, Alec, you you're on a small team, but nonetheless, even with Yacht Club, you know, you don't like embargoes exist for a reason. You want to keep that element of surprise and delighting gamers.

[00:17:55]Um Yeah, I'd I'd say How's it for Yacht Club trying to to keep secrets and make sure things aren't getting leaked?

[00:18:03]Um Uh I'm terrible at it. I tell all my friends everything. First [laughter] of all, No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding, of course. I would never do that. Um Yeah, I don't know. It's It can be hard to like uh work in isolation without like people knowing your game, without being able to talk about it. Uh that's like one of the reasons why Mina was like announced uh I would say too early at this point, you know.

[00:18:30]Um it's I think both that and like how you would respond to a leak have more to do with like team morale than like anything else, right?

[00:18:40]Um it's a bummer when your your big moment is stripped away from you. Uh you don't get to make the debut that you imagined.

[00:18:49]Um But on the other hand, you know, people are talking about Star Fox. Is that really a bad thing if you're the people selling Star Fox?

[00:18:57]Yeah, I almost feel like I agree. That's a great point cuz I almost feel like with an IP like that, it started a conversation about a series that I felt like I was the only person yelling about two years. Not that No, no, you guys on the podcast obviously were champion for it, too. Uh um But I just mean like in the grand scheme of things, it's like who's talking about Star Fox, you know?

[00:19:20]So I It's almost It's It's crazy with the timing of the movie and the timing of Nate the Hate leaking that stuff. It almost kind of felt like a perfect storm a little bit. You know, now we're seeing Star Fox with high pre-orders. [snorts] What that translates to numbers-wise, you know, it remains to be seen, but still it's a it's an exciting start to the story of a series that's, you know, struggled at the very least.

[00:19:47]>> And he And Fox was in that movie. What Maybe they're What is it? I'm on I'm on board with this conspiracy now. Yeah.

[00:20:28]Um I really liked how they kind of tied the movie look into the game. Um kind of sucks that it's a remake, but at the same point in time, you know, it's it's good to have it back.

[00:20:41]Hopefully they can build on this and and uh make it even better.

[00:21:44]Finally, you know, I'm I'm at the hospital for God knows how long.

[00:21:49]They're doing all the the tests. You know how it is. It takes forever. I finally get home. I crawl into bed. I go to to check Twitter to see what's what's going on with Nintendo, what's going on with the news, get ready for the podcast, and I see the the notification that a Star Fox Direct dropped. I'm like, you got to be effing kidding me.

[00:22:09]Go figure. I've been predicting Star Fox on Switch 2 for over a year now.

[00:22:15]And of course it drops the day I'm going to miss the podcast. But guys, I was so unbelievably >> sick more often. Yeah, right.

[00:22:22]Um I was unbelievably thrilled. Um booting it up right away.

[00:22:28]Um the first thing the first thing that came to my head was you know like holy [ __ ] Star Fox.

[00:22:35]There was a There was a brief moment where I thought the characters were a little bit jarring. Not actually the characters. Actually I take that back.

[00:22:43]Star Fox. I think everyone looked amazing immediately. It was Star Fox that was a little bit uh Fox McCloud that was a little bit jarring cuz it looked like he had a double chin to me for for some reason. Um >> Because he has one. His his neck is gigantic. [laughter] Yeah.

[00:23:00]He's an emote in our company chat now so I look at it every >> There you go.

[00:23:05]>> [laughter] >> That's awesome. My second My second thought was, "Holy [ __ ] Stash is going to love the water in this game." That legit was I I vocalized it out loud. I was like, "Dude, Stash is going to love the water in this game."

[00:23:18]It is the first thing, man. It is the first thing. You know, the action's up here in the trailer. I'm looking down here, looking at that water like, "Damn, that looks good." [laughter] This has been an obsession of ours, mine, you know, I think all of ours though, is to see how water graphics improve over the decades, right? Yeah. And it's just been fun to witness, right? You know, from >> Yeah. from Wave Race 64 to Mario Sunshine. to Star Fox >> Mario Sunshine, there's so many. Yeah.

[00:23:52]Yeah.

[00:23:53]But, uh yeah, so that was my second thought. I think the game looks fantastic. It looks like a lot of fun.

[00:23:58]Um I think there's an element of this where if if you're a lifelong Star Fox fan, on one hand, like I can uh see disappointment in it's Star Fox 64 again.

[00:24:11]Um you know, I I think a lot of us who've been around since the beginning um have been kind of just waiting for Star Fox to really I don't know, take some chances, maybe get a little bit more modernized.

[00:24:28]At the same time, thinking about the rebranding, just calling the game Star Fox, thinking about the fact that we just got Fox McCloud in the Mario movie, who's been exposed to millions of people for the first time, who've never even heard of this character, it makes so much sense to use this as a starting point, and then to see where they go with a Star Fox 2, a Star Fox 3, 4, 5, or if they start doing that two-pillar strategy that I'm a huge fan of how we have open-world 3D Mario, top-down isometric or sorry, open-world 3D Zelda, top-down isometric Zelda. We've got 3D Mario, we've got the side-scrolling Mario. Um you know, we we've gotten the that two kind of pillar for a lot of their IP. It'd be really cool to see Starfox do that do that do something a little bit more modern, more expansive, but also still stay in that wheelhouse of classic iconic Starfox that we all know and love. I think what sweetens the deal is that we're getting tons of new story.

[00:25:30]You know, we're getting cinematics with the crew on their ship. I'm hoping for some space drama, you know, some epic space opera moments, you know.

[00:25:40]Uh epic betrayals like we got in the new prologue that was added. There's just a lot There's a lot to love about what we saw. And then I think the cherry on top is the fact that this is a game that falls into that variable pricing. You know, it's one of the big concerns with bringing back classic Starfoxes are they going to be able to release this game at $70, which was, you know, in the when we first started talking about Starfox on Switch 2, you know, that was kind of the baseline for Switch 2 games. But we're getting that variable pricing. This is a game um that's what, 50 digital, 60 physical, correct? Mhm.

[00:26:18]>> Or at Walmart. Yep. 50 bucks physical, which is the one that I pre-ordered. Um but not to be too long-winded cuz I know we got other other things to talk about.

[00:26:31]I think the game looks stunning. I think I'm getting more used to the way Fox McCloud looks every time I see it. I think everyone else off the bat right off the bat looked amazing. I don't care what anyone says. I thought Slippy looked fantastic. Peppy looks incredible. Slippy looked so stupid.

[00:26:50]>> [laughter] >> As as as the resident bird on the podcast, yeah, Falco looked awesome.

[00:26:55]Wolf O'Donnell, Pigma looked amazing. Pigma looked so That is one of my favorite Pigma. And James McCloud with the aviators with the like holo- >> [laughter] >> holograms in it was so sick. James McCloud is badass. I feel like by the time that game comes out, people are going to like James so much that there's going to be people with James McCloud tattoos. That guy had so much aura.

[00:27:21]They're going to be asking for a a game but you know, a prequel so they can get a full adventures as James McCloud.

[00:27:29]I'm curious to see how the multiplayer modes are. They weren't super extensive but they did look fun. I think what really sweetens the deal for the multiplayer is the fact that you get to do the the game chat with your face as whatever crew member you are and you better freaking believe that the podcast has to do a multiplayer round where we're each one of the characters.

[00:29:42]>> I'll end on this note. I'm unbelievably excited. I'm a big, you know, I'm I'm one of the few Starfox fans out there. Starfox, the original, Starfox 64, um Adventures, all of them. Love them so much. Starfox 64 though has an especially special place in my heart, you know, it would I I got the the version that came with the rumble pack.

[00:30:08]Um so that was like super exciting. I still I still have it on the shelf. That was super exciting for me and it's it was just It's a It's a a game of a different time, you know, it's a more bite-sized arcady experience, but man, was it a damn good experience back then. And for anyone out there who's Starfox curious, you've never played a a Starfox game, you you uh weren't a gamer maybe in the N64 age, I encourage you to, especially at the lower price point, give this one a shot because the game was fantastic and the characters are fantastic and the music's fantastic. And if they're going to build on the story and make it more of this like epic space drama with twists and turns, I think you guys are going to be in for a wild ride. And I I can't wait. June can't come soon enough.

[00:31:00]Uh but right now, I'm just waiting for Metroid Prime 4, which comes out in just a couple weeks. So, make sure you guys get that on your wish list.

[00:31:13]I do. I do believe there's going to be a direct. I'm just not sure if it's going to be I think the timing of the direct is going to If we If If the direct is going to be cuz when Summer Game Fest was that June 6th?

[00:31:29]Uh 5th through the 8th or June June 5th, that Friday is the the show and then the play days is June 6th through the 8th.

[00:31:40]Okay. So, then Okay. So, then I think we're going to get a direct the final 2 weeks of June.

[00:31:47]Um and I think it will be a mainline cuz I think Summer Game Fest will have passed. You know, I know Nintendo doesn't necessarily have a big presence at Summer Game Fest or the Game Awards, but because we're getting so many third-party games coming to Switch 2 now that they have a more power under the trunk, more capable system, I could see a lot of uh Switch 2 logos sprinkled throughout Summer Game Fest compared to uh previous years. So, I'm going to say we're going to get a a general direct second half of June.

[00:32:27]Um it's it's very weird to be like at the middle of May and there isn't any like actual little rumors. It's all just a a of stuff's happening and it's summer and a bunch of it involves Nintendo and Nintendo likes to do it in their own events.

[00:32:41]I just it's just it's a wild to me. I don't know what Nintendo's doing, but as I said, um Look, we got we got the announcement season right around the corner here. I mean, what are we 3 weeks away from from all that coming down? You know, we got Summer Game Fest, there'll be a new State of Play always, there'll be an Xbox Direct like there always is.

[00:33:00]Um Ubisoft might have something going on, who knows. There'll be lots of indie stuff going on, uh especially all weekend on Summer Game Fest weekend.

[00:33:07]It's like all day long indie announcements. Yep. Um It's kind of a great >> even though like E3 is gone and Nintendo can announce stuff whenever they want, I imagine there's still a lot of value in like picking a yearly thing, rallying all of your teams, you know, having a deadline, working towards it, throwing a big party afterwards.

[00:33:29]Uh you know, those are still things that uh you would want to do, I would think, even if you know, there's no direct equivalent anymore.

[00:33:38]Yeah, and Nintendo, when they do Directs in June, um just like back at E3, they always like to go last.

[00:33:44]You know, they they they don't want to go before everyone else. They want everyone else to do their thing and then, "Hey, we're going to cap it all off with the announcements or whatever we got." Um cuz they want they want whatever big game reveal they have to be the final thing people are thinking about when they when they're in the month of June.

[00:34:00]Um so, yeah, I mean, the second half makes some sense uh if they do it at all. Um I I think though even if there's not a Direct, like it feels weird talking about this, but this is the world we live in. I think Nintendo's announcing a game next month.

[00:34:15]Even if it's not a Direct, whether it's at Summer Game Fest, whether it's Nintendo Today.

[00:34:19]Like every month they seem to just be announcing games. So, yeah, why wouldn't they announce something and it's going to end up being for August or whatever. Maybe it's just the Fire Emblem Warriors we get a a trailer with a date or something.

[00:34:31]You know, like they're going to they're going to do something next month. Like I just don't see them skipping out on the whole industry is blowing their load and we're just not going to play.

[00:34:49]Like we we assume direct cuz that's what they have always done, but it's like well, okay, this isn't the same Nintendo. You know?

[00:34:55]Well, it will never be Summer Game Fest because they don't you ever since Reggie retired, they don't really work with Geoff Keighley. I'm like, okay.

[00:35:02]Now we got Devon Pritchard in charge. We don't know what her relationship's like.

[00:35:06]You win in a in the US cuz that's the relationship that would matter with with Geoff. So, you know, I have no idea. Um what I do know is I'm really excited for the Starfox. I'm really excited for Mina and I'm really excited for announcement season because I don't know about all you all of you guys out there, but E3 or no E3, every June still kind of feels a little bit like Christmas.

[00:35:36]But we're not in those years anymore, but every now and then, you know, whether it's Summer Game Fest or one of the indie showcases or maybe the Sony State of Play, one of them always slaps every year, every June. And it's like, hell yeah, dude. This is why I'm a gamer, man. I love this stuff. Look at all Dude, remember Choo Choo Charles taking over the internet for like a day?

[00:36:04]Um all right. It's also a rare opportunity to to like bring together developers. That's my favorite part of the formerly E3 and now Summer Games Fest. People are still like making this trek out here. You get to like say hi to the to friends that you only see once a year.

[00:37:28]Otherwise, I would have told you I was planning on going. I was just saying yeah, you got it. Yeah. Cuz I know you live there. Because I know that the the Days of Play is still invite-only.
