Everyday Americans face increasing financial pressures from multiple sources: utility companies are implementing significant rate increases (e.g., 11% increases adding $25-30/month), businesses are struggling with AI implementation failures that disrupt operations and customer service, franchise owners face mounting costs and operational challenges, and government policies like green energy requirements for home sales are adding additional financial burdens. These interconnected economic factors create a cumulative effect where consumers pay more for essential services while receiving fewer benefits, making it increasingly difficult for families to maintain their standard of living.

You're Paying More and Getting Less Every Single Day本站添加:
Hey, it's Dan. Welcome back to I'll legitimately.
I've got a good one for you today because none of us can get a break.
No matter where we turn, everything's more expensive and uh people are trying to find solace in anything they can, but life is just completely out of whack and out of control.
Uh hit the like button, subscribe to the channel, and uh if you're on the email list, one just went out, make sure you uh check your spam filter. Got a great video on that with a lot of good stuff to talk about, a lot of great questions to ask you. But uh let's get right into it.
You know it's really weird. As the seasons change, I get more and more people write me and send me stories and different things. A Laura from Connecticut sent me something that is nothing short of wild. And that is, you know, May 1st, she wrote me and said, "Hey, it's snowing here in Connecticut."
Now there's a heatwave in Connecticut.
Okay, you can't win enough for trying in Connecticut, but so many people are facing this and she's telling me that people in Connecticut are actually, because of the heatwave, instead of paying for the energy cost, cuz Eversource, their thieving company, is going to have another 11% rate increase that they just got approved. But hey, listen, this is only going to add 25 to 30 bucks a month. Okay. $25 a month, guys, is $300 a year. Give me $300 a year for doing nothing.
Now, in a heatwave, you use more energy.
Like she said, people are spending so much on electricity that they're going to hotel rooms and staying at $125 a night hotels because they have air conditioning, they can blast it and not, you know, fry themselves.
I I No. I I mean, it's crazy that you have to live like this, but when do people complain? When do people say that they've had enough with stuff like this?
Because it just it's too much, you know? It it it's non-stop. It's funny. She always sends me sales staff and for her job, and I can't say what it is cuz it'll totally give away where she works, but it's fascinating because someone is supposed to say, let's say, $1.8 million and they sell $1.7 million in a quarter and you know, she's just telling me how it's great because I'm right in the middle, I'm right where I should be. But, imagine, person does $1.7 million in sales for a month and they're concerned about their job.
Outrageous. Outrageous.
We are seeing so many different places that are having trouble with AI. I did the banking AI video and all these people send me all these stories from there.
And uh McDonald's, McDonald's has announced, "Hey, you know, we're going to have a new AI program called Archie and Archie's going to take your order."
I am telling you this right now, I've walked out of Taco Bell's, I've walked out of McDonald's. I'm not touching the kiosk. I'm not going to punch things in to get a burger ordered or a burrito ordered without red sauce and with extra cheese and beef on it. It's ridiculous.
It's absolutely ridiculous. I don't want to touch somebody else's, you know, dirty fingers uh on those kiosks. It's disgusting, you know? We don't have to do this. We don't. You can have somebody take my order, have AI take the order like you do with some of the drive-thrus that they get wrong 90% of the time.
Pizza Hut. We've heard so much about Pizza Hut lately. There is a franchisee franchisee that owns 110 pizza Pizza Huts and he's suing Pizza Hut right now for uh over $20 because he's saying that the new AI program that they set up has destroyed his restaurants. Deliveries are late and uh they can't get orders fast enough. They get things wrong. You want to You want to infuriate somebody, order a pizza, deliver it. Oh, it was supposed to have extra cheese. It was supposed to have no pepperoni, no onions, I said.
They're And what do they do? They complain to the driver, they don't tip the driver, they don't tip the company, they write Yelp reviews that are negative. And uh it's funny.
I have a friend of mine that has a parody site on on X.
And he goes around and he looks at all these people that complain. There are people that are serial complainers on Yelp and sites like that that literally all they do is find the negative.
Which is horrible. It's like, you know, it's it's tough enough to run a business, but let's just go complain cuz it's our job. No. No. There was a salad place that opened up in my city about 10 years ago and I told my kids I'm going to take them to this and they literally got inundated the first weekend with negative reviews. With people that just walked in and it just didn't smell like salad. What the hell does salad smells like, guys? Okay? And they just ripped on this place to where they never got over the negative reviews from the first weekend. And again, it was all these people on Instagram just jamming about how bad this place was. And again, it did not last 3 months after that.
The Archie. I mean, come on. McDonald's has lost their mind because they're sitting there saying that they're going to bring back quality, they're going to bring back uh value, and a better dining experience. No, you're not. What are you kidding?
Why don't you guys look at Chili's? Why don't you guys look at $10.99 for a deal and having a good burger? Because they have so much percentages. Do yourself You want to get entertained one night?
Look at hey, I want to I want to buy a McDonald's franchise and look at the money, look at how much it cost and look at your involvement and what you have to buy from the company cuz they make a boatload of money on that. Those little sugar packets with the McDonald's logo on it, yeah, you're buying those. Buying everything from them. And then you got to kick back your percentage and it's it's just a nightmare. It's an absolute nightmare. It's a job. Now, do some people make a tremendous amount of money? Yes, they do. Absolutely. But it is it is more and more difficult. That's why you hear about on this channel alone since the beginning of 2026, there has to be a thousand franchises that have gone out of business that I've talked about.
The labor department is demanding that certain COVID funds get frozen.
Guys, this is June of 2026. What COVID funds?
Could you imagine that?
Oh, yeah, there's still COVID funds. And of course, it's the usual suspects. All these different states that have benefits that were not supposed to be paid. Illinois, California, New York, uh and all these other 12 West 12 Eastern and other Eastern states, too.
California's on the West Coast, clearly.
But again, COVID money, huh?
You know what's funny is you see all these scams, you see all the the people that have just they perpetrate all this fraud.
And are people going to go to jail for this? I don't think they are. I really don't. I think that that people got away with it and uh it's who they know and who they paid off and I think that that is a huge huge problem.
So.
You know, great story. Your parents' favorite restaurant's coming back.
No, it's not. Sizzler. Sizzler.
Sizzler, okay?
During its height of operation had 770 stores restaurants. Remember Sizzler had that unique thing where you'd walk up, you'd wait in line, you'd order, then they'd give you your Yeah, the salad bar, you'd get your little salad bar plate, and you'd walk to the salad bar, and you'd get the cheese toast and everything good in the salad bar, and it was crazy. I told my Sizzler story a hundred times, and if you ever want to hear it, you can ask me directly. But, uh um cleanliness needed to be a big deal.
Anyways, Sizzler has 74 locations across the United States right now. It's not what it used to be.
Somebody once told me, "Hey, you know, uh buddies that like, 'Hey, we should go here, we should go there. Let's try uh this lunch buffet. Hey, let's find Sizzler. Oh, there's one 15 miles from us.' It's like, 'Really? That's the nearest one.' They've closed everywhere.
In Tustin Orange, you've got to go to El Toro in uh Lake Forest to go get Sizzler.
And now Sizzler, they're going to make a comeback just like uh Red Lobster's. Red Lobster's not coming back. Remember their endless shrimp shenanigans? Everybody talks about this. That did not bankrupt the company. When they sold the company and they had to lease the locations, that was the death of Red Lobster. Had nothing to do with endless shrimp.
Applebee's has one of those programs right now where you can get endless um appetizers, and everybody that's tried it, that's written me, I I won't eat at that dump cuz my son's not with me. He's not a He's not a 12-year-old boy anymore eating fried food. But, damn, it's terrible. You order these appetizers, and you've got to wait 20 minutes between each one, which is what they do. They put you on the uh uh the slow road, so that you're not, you know, the never mind list, as uh Tommy from Goodfellas would say.
The idea with this is to have you take your sweet time, so you could give him $15. Whatever. Get just get him to me faster. It's not going to work. So, does that interest you that Sizzler Sizzler is coming back?
You know?
Oh my god. Regina sent me a wild story about Berkeley, California. Berkeley, California is going to implement green energy for you to sell your house. Now, you have to have a score to sell your home.
Scale between 1 and 10 and it has to be a six. If your house is not totally energy efficient and green efficient, they want net zeros carbons by 2050 or some year that's never going to happen.
But, they will find you $5,000. And uh you have to put a deposit in with the city to make sure the inspection is done to make sure that your house has a positive green rating. Now, once again, if you're into that, go do that. Go do that. The most efficient thing that you can do to your house is energy efficiency, is making sure that it's insulated, making sure that you don't have any drafts, making sure that you don't have a you know, a metal roof like you live in some hillbilly land, you know, and making sure that you have a nice house. That's important. Okay?
Insulated, updated, things like that.
You will have a high energy rating.
These places now list the house for sale as of this month to show you what the energy rating is.
Ooh, this is only a four.
It's going to cost you you're going to have to spend $1,000 to update the house. Some of these improvements, Regina said, can go as high depending on the house, $50,000 to make it energy efficient.
Well, mom just died. I got the house.
You mean I got to I got to do this?
Yeah, damn. Go do it. Go do it now.
Hurry. Are you done yet?
No, you're not.
Oh my god.
You know, um highest paying jobs in America. I love the Visual Capitalist.
This is a site that shows you um uh you know, they do everything in in pictures. So, for someone like me that's uh um you know, a half a brain, it really is nice to see stuff like this. But, pediatric surgeon is the best job. So, you can see from the Visual Capitalist who makes the most amount of money in America.
We have a private channel called I Allegedly Live and you sign up at ially.tv and it's so cool. So many things are happening with it. I am on Facebook now. We're on Spotify. We're on iHeart Radio. All this stuff and it's very cool to be able to drive across country and not have YouTube be able to listen to myself or have you guys listen to it, too. Okay? It's just lovely.
Um Dr. Marvin who's always contributing oh so much to this channel and I owe him a huge favor. Next time I go to Florida, I'm going to make sure he and I get together for lunch.
But, uh I want to end it with this one which again he sends me these great stories. I love this thing called Dirty Dining, which is disgusting. Final two Dr. Marvin stories. Dirty Dining is disgusting.
These places that get written up and you got, you know, all these really high-end restaurants that that fell under, you know, cockroach infestation, rodent infestation, all this stuff. Read below.
I won't name them by by name, but you know, this one popular hamburger place that has uh Shake in the name. Anyways, they had a rodent infestation. Oh, wow.
No, I'm not eating there ever again.
Goodbye.
There was an Ecuadorian restaurant that had over 30 violations. 30.
30 30 30. I mean, it was just a laundry list of stuff that was wrong.
Oh my gosh, where you know, why would anybody ever eat at a place like that ever again? But it's really harsh. So, this is a really popular thing in Florida. Again, dirty dining super cool.
My favorite story of the day and again, thank you Dr. Marvin because it's insanity uh bill.
And I got to get this woman's name right. So, bear with me because it's like five names.
Woman accused of performing dentistry without a license.
Oh God, I but I save money, Dan, going to her. Okay? Miami-Dade home out of her home.
Okay?
Okay.
So, this is insane.
Okay? So, you got to hear this because So, her name is Maria del Carmen Fontaine Auclair.
Maria del Carmen Fontaine Auclair.
Okay? Why is it that criminals have all these great names together? So, John Wayne Gacy. You know what I mean? It's like uh everybody's got a long name.
Anyways, she was arrested for for performing dentistry out of her house.
Who would go to a dentist inside somebody's home? Now, I understand here in California, one thing that's very cool is you can take an old house on a busy street and you can convert it to an office. That's rock and roll. That's super cool. You can own that real estate. You can have the offices there.
I've been to a lot of places like that.
My family member owned a place like that and made a boatload of money after they sold it.
>> [sighs] >> But your dentist out of her home. Okay?
Just push the close to buy, you know, and and you know, we're watching uh Below Deck. So, just what do you want on TV? Come on, guys. This is insane. So, thank you, Dr. Marvin. You're the best.
You are the best.
>> [sighs] >> Like, subscribe, join the email list, make really good choices. But again, none of us are getting a break. People are going to hotel rooms to get themselves away from the heat. Man oh man, it just doesn't end, does it? It really doesn't.
Want to get a hold of me?
I'll see you very soon.
