Give me a minute.
>> Look at me. You look beautiful.
>> Thank you.
>> It is absolutely amazing. Gorgeous.
>> We are at now is known as the eighth wonder of the world.
>> One of my favorite things that we've done so far.
>> Yeah, absolutely.
>> No.
You look so sad.
>> Massive entertainment section. It's humongous.
>> Bye-bye.
>> Here's our first beach in Oman.
>> Lovely.
>> Actually, really nice sand.
>> Yeah.
>> I love Oman.
>> Asalam alaikum everybody. Welcome back to our channel. We are still here in Muscat today and unfortunately it's our last day here which we're very very sad about. But we're going to make the most of it and explore and do as much as we can today.
>> Yeah.
>> Before we have to leave.
>> Yeah. We're up bright and early and we're going to head out and go and see more of Muscat. I think two must things to do here is go and see the Grand Mosque and go and see the Royal Opera House. So, that's on the agenda this morning. So, we need to get a move on.
>> We have to get to the mosque quickly because they're only open until 11:00 a.m. for non-Muslims. So, >> wait. Make sure it's not Friday. It's not a Friday. So, we can head there and we can go visit.
>> Let's go. Yala.
>> Yala.
>> Yala.
>> Oh, it's bright. Okay, so our taxi has arrived.
>> So bright. It's so hot and it's literally half 9.
>> Asalam alaikum.
>> Okay, let's go. I'm excited.
>> Yeah, me too. Okay, >> we have made it.
>> Okay, thank you.
All right, we are here at the Sultan Kaboo Mosque.
>> Oh my god. Are you made it? I'm so excited.
>> Yeah. You ready? I think we can get clothes there.
>> Hello. Good morning.
>> Good. Thank you.
>> No, it's okay. It's okay. So, is this clothing here? Oh, okay. These Oh, perfect.
>> So, you can get some clothing here just to >> I mean, we are cover fine, >> but I need someone to help me to do my headdress.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. So, this is men's. That's women's around there, I think.
>> I don't know what I'm doing.
>> Amy's just trying to learn how to cover up her hair, aren't you?
>> I might just ask the ladies if they can help me.
>> Yeah.
So don't forget Okay.
>> Oh, yeah. You look awesome.
>> So, that's how you do it.
>> I hope you got that cuz I can watch you back.
>> Yeah. Yeah, I did.
>> Okay. Right.
>> Okay. Do you feel nice and covered up now?
>> Yes. I'm ready to go in.
>> I'm ready to enter the mosque. Yeah.
>> To figure out where to go.
>> How we get in. We've been told that we don't have to pay for a ticket. I think it's free entry.
>> Yeah. Not sure. Let's figure out. Let's go and ask. I'm really worried about my my head falling.
>> Yeah, I know. Just make sure that it stays on.
>> Oh, feel like it's come out.
>> Yeah, it's come out.
>> We go here then.
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> Oh, this is the gift shop. Hello.
>> Hi.
>> Do we buy a ticket?
>> No, it's free. There's not any payment for a ticket.
>> Okay. How do we enter?
>> It's from here. Just >> in there. Okay. Okay. Thank you so much.
Interesting.
Well, it's nice and cool inside the building, isn't it?
>> Huge in here.
>> Wow. Look at this.
>> It's huge. So, you can buy a tour guide.
>> Oh, some people have already come here with a guided tour that shows them all around Oman.
>> True.
>> But we're coming and doing it by ourselves, aren't we?
>> Yeah.
>> Look at me. You look beautiful.
>> Thank you. I wish I had my shade. It's so bright.
>> Yeah. So, first thing I notice all around us is we've got extremely green grass. We've got lovely, beautiful spires here and here. Lots of trees, lots of fountains. Everything's so clean. We've got marble. We've got stone. It's absolutely gorgeous here, isn't it?
>> It is. It's so big. I So, it's approximately 416,000 square ft.
>> Wow. That's massive.
>> square meters. 4 41.6 hectares.
>> Wo.
>> Huge.
>> It is absolutely huge.
That's amazing.
>> Yeah.
>> The lovely water feature just here, but just doing a 360 in the center of this courtyard. It is absolutely amazing. It's gorgeous.
>> So, so, so shocked that it's free entry.
>> I know. I really thought you'd have to pay an entry fee, but no, you're just allowed to come visit. We've got beautiful marble on the floor here.
>> So, I believe that this is that this is one of the only mosques in the Gulf area that allows non >> that allows non-Muslim guests.
>> Yeah. That Yeah. that allows people to come in that aren't part of the mosque that pray here.
>> Oh, wow. That's cool.
>> Well, then we're very lucky that we're able to come and visit this absolutely gorgeous mosque. And I mean, what a day for it. Not a cloud in the sky. It's absolutely beautiful. It's still, what's the time? It's still the morning, so we haven't quite got the heat of the day.
So, it's a very good time to explore.
Just look around and just see the beauty.
>> Man, it's hot.
>> Yeah. Well, I was just saying it's not the heat of the day just yet.
>> No.
>> Feels like it.
>> Does feel like it a little bit.
Wow, look at all this marble.
>> Yeah, it's beautiful.
>> It's absolutely beautiful.
>> So, the marble is of Islamic, Middle Eastern, and Omani architecture.
>> And I just love again that everything is the color of the Wow, it's bright.
Everything is the color of the surroundings. So, you know, it all blends in, but it still stands out as such beautiful, beautiful building.
Yeah, it's very bright. Let's get inside. We have to take off our shoes and put them in here before we can enter.
Okay, here we go. Eating and sleeping inside the prayer hall is prohibited.
Please do not bring any books, clothes, or any other belongings inside the prayer hall. Children below the age of 10 are not allowed to enter. Use of mobile phones is prohibited. Please do not post any advertisements or publications.
>> Wow. I wonder if you're allowed to film in here.
>> Let's find out.
>> Yeah, let's find out. You're not allowed your phones, but maybe you're allowed to take pictures. Beautiful.
>> We've still got our shoes off.
Yeah, the architecture here is absolutely stunning.
>> My shoes.
>> Oh, >> you didn't grab your shoes?
>> No. Let's go have a look. I'll put them back on in a sec.
>> I'm just walking around with no shoes.
>> There, you idiot. Yeah, I know.
>> Wow, it's beautiful here. I literally can't get over how beautiful it is here.
>> Look at it. Wow.
Okay, so I believe we found the Grand Prayer Hall area. Wow, look at this courtyard.
>> It's beautiful.
>> Absolutely stunning here.
It's really, really gorgeous. I've kind of never seen a building like it. Like, it's absolutely huge and it's beautiful.
It's so so clean. It's gorgeous. Okay, here's the prayer hall. Do not walk or stand inside the blue carpet and do not touch the walls or anything else inside the prayer hall. I'm >> squeaking.
>> We found the prayer hall. You need to take your shoes off.
>> Okay.
>> Okay. You are you ready to see the most important room in the whole mosque?
>> Yes. I hope this is the right place.
>> Yeah, I think it is. Hope we're allowed in.
Oh my goodness.
This is amazing.
one more.
So here we have chandelier.
It is amazing in here. That chandelier is the most beautiful chandelier I've ever seen. The roof is a gorgeous, you know, mosaic of patterns, archways, prints, stained glass windows, different blues, whites, oranges.
>> Come and speech. My goodness, it is absolutely incredible. I mean, the detail is gorgeous as well all around the outside here.
>> Beautiful, isn't it?
>> We've got a dark blue with Arabic writing on it.
>> So, this used to be the biggest chandelier in the world.
>> Really?
>> Yeah. The biggest chandelier in the world. And this is, I believe, the biggest carpet in the world. It took 4 years to make.
>> To make the carpet.
>> Mhm.
>> Wow.
>> It's over It's approximately like 1.7 billion knots.
>> No way. Yeah.
>> Over a billion knots.
>> Yeah. It was 600 Iranian women that made it.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah, I know. Crazy.
>> Yeah. This is one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen, if not the most beautiful. And it's so peaceful.
It's so cool. You know, everyone's being really respectful, really quiet.
>> Yeah.
It's also made the chandelier is also made of I can't say this swaski >> swaskki >> s sw s sw s sw s sw s sw s sw s sw s sw s sw s sw saskki crystals >> swavoski >> suvoski >> swavoski c crystals >> yeah and the metal is 24 karat gold >> wow >> that is stunning >> I think it's like 1.1 I think it is like let me check there's so many bulbs it's like let me quickly check how many bulbs So, sounds like that is an absolutely priceless chandelier one.
>> It's beautiful. I'd love to have that in my house.
>> Yeah, me too.
>> This is just absolutely incredible.
>> Yeah. 1 point um 1 point a thous 1,100 lamps.
>> 8 tons.
>> 8 Oh, >> what?
>> 8.5 tons.
>> 8.5 tons. That's really heavy. Yeah, >> that's like eight cars.
>> Eight small cars. That is >> Wow.
>> The um the carpet's heavier.
>> Really?
>> 21 tons.
>> Wo. When was the building built?
>> I don't know. Do we 2001?
>> 2001. Oh, so it's quite recent then.
>> Yeah. It's not crazy old.
>> Wow.
>> It's beautiful.
>> I am mesmerized. This is absolutely gorgeous.
>> Yeah. The carpet is made up of carpet is made up of 28 different colors and they're all like naturally natural colors all from like vegetable >> vegetables vegetable dye.
>> That's amazing.
>> Um I think it's crazy as well how vibrant these colors are. Like look at this dark blue and these blues.
>> Yeah, >> that's from vegetables.
>> Yeah, that's amazing. I really really like the dark blues that we've seen so far here in Oman.
>> It's beautiful. Yeah, >> the carpet's so big.
>> I know.
>> It's crazy.
>> And I like that all of the chandeliers here are just a They're like a smaller version of the giant one in the middle.
>> Me, too. Me, too. There's actually such a nice little detail.
>> Yeah.
>> So true.
>> Wow.
It's absolutely amazing here.
>> This is the front. I guess this is where the where the person who does the call to prayer stands and recites the Quran.
>> So I think this I think I'm not 100% sure this is where the the imam will stand at the front and then recite the Quran while everyone prays I think. And then through the microphone I think that's when you can hear the call to prayer. I think >> anything about Islam about anything and you can get some more information from this one.
>> So that must be verses from the Quran.
It has to be.
>> How big is the Quran then?
>> I think it's massive.
>> Is it?
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. I didn't know that.
>> Yeah. So we're just walking down the archway out of the building now.
I love all the archways like all the um it's very cohesive and very >> symmetrical >> symmetrical. It's very Yeah, it's very beautiful.
>> The doors in here are stunning.
>> Yeah, it's beautiful in here.
It's beautiful. It's probably one of my favorite things that we've done.
Probably one of my favorite things that we've done so far.
>> Yeah, absolutely.
>> Back out into the heat.
>> Back out into the heat.
>> Right, we got to find your shoes.
>> Yeah, I left my shoes on like the other end of the uh >> Oh my god.
>> Oh, wow.
God, >> we're really struggling to see anything.
Yikes.
>> I don't know where my shoes are. They're >> over the other end here.
>> Are they?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Could easily lose your shoes in here.
That's so funny.
>> Yeah.
>> Hey, I found them. Found mine. We got to try and find yours.
>> Yeah. Let's go find ours. Come on.
I think this bit is my favorite other than the uh the prayer hall with the with the giant tower in the background.
This bit is my favorite.
Wow. I'm so glad we came here. What an experience. Never seen a place like it before. Just like it has been for the whole time in Oman. And I've just been shocked everywhere we go. Absolutely shocked and just stunned at how beautiful everything can be.
>> Yeah, it's stunning.
Very bright though because it's so like white cream marble. It's like >> the sun reflects the sun reflects off it, doesn't it?
>> Yeah. Did you want to go anywhere else?
>> Uh, no. I'm happy.
>> Yeah. I have absolutely no idea where my shoes are. I haven't seen them for about half an hour now. I'm just I'm just walking around barefoot. I don't even know if I can when you're outside in the area. I'm sure you can, but it just feels wrong to be walking around barefoot.
>> Oh, they're in here.
>> No, it's the other one.
>> Oh, yeah, it's the other one. But they're they're around this area. It's very busy now. I think it closes at 11:00 to tourists, so maybe everyone's gathering to get the last minute pictures and stuff.
>> Yeah, it's really busy.
>> Hey, he's found his shoes.
>> Found my shoes.
>> Found your Crocs.
>> Right. Okay, >> let's make our way out of here.
>> Let's dash.
>> Wow, what a lovely lovely start to the day.
>> I know. Really beautiful.
>> Peaceful, isn't it?
>> Yeah.
>> So, we've heard that apparently this grand mosque that we are at now is known as the eighth wonder of the world.
>> And now I kind of believe that because it is absolutely incredible.
>> Just look at it. I wish I could come here every day.
Okay. So, we are saying bye, goodbye to the Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in Oman.
>> Bye-bye.
>> Yeah, we have to leave. We literally got 15 minutes until >> until it closes. Tourists. Yeah. But this is an absolute must must do here in Oman. If you are here, you have to come see it. It is probably the most beautiful building I have ever seen in my life. I >> think it was one of the highlights for me. Yeah, definitely.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Shakran.
>> Thank you.
>> All right, we have made it to We have made it to the Avenues Mall here in Muscat. And honestly, we've come here at the right time of day cuz as you can see behind me, the sun is out. It is shining. It is really, really hot. You don't want to be out and about at this time of day. So, >> I've got my shades.
>> Oh dear, >> man.
>> Good thing we're going inside then.
>> Yeah.
>> But yeah, so we are heading inside the Avenue Mall. And the first thing I've noticed about this place is the design is very Omani in the way that it's, you know, stone colored brick. It's not supposed to stick out, be big and glass like the malls are maybe in the UK or in other countries. It's designed to blend in and look like part of the classic Ammani architecture.
>> It's beautiful here. It's absolutely stunning. It's so clean. It literally looks pristine. It's lovely here. I kind of regret wearing black.
>> Do you? Are you bit hot?
>> But yeah, it's absolutely beautiful. It looks so grand.
>> It's lovely.
>> Yeah. Should we head in?
>> Let's head in.
>> Let's go for it.
>> I wonder uh I wonder what kind of shops are going to be in here.
>> I know. Like Armani or like shops that we know in the west?
>> Yeah. Maybe. Is it going to be a bit luxury or Wow, it's busy. Oh, so this is a supermarket.
>> Okay. Should we go up?
>> Yeah, let's go up. Cuz I don't really know. We don't >> It's a massive supermarket.
>> Yeah, it's a massive supermarket. The only shops we've seen here so far in Oman have been like really small >> like convenience stores.
>> Convenience store style. But this is a giant supermarket.
>> It's huge.
>> Yeah. Everyone's just working, going about their day, shopping.
>> Okay, so we I think we're at the tech floor now.
>> There's an LG >> selfie sticks, tripods.
>> Yeah, it's all together. It's so clean.
So clean.
>> Look at the floor.
>> Beautiful.
>> Yeah, it's a beautiful marble. I wouldn't expect I wouldn't expect anything else from my man to be honest.
Samsung, you got trikes, bikes, quad bikes, all in here.
>> That's very cool.
>> Barbecues.
>> Like, I don't know where to look.
>> No, me neither. There's the Dunkin Donuts. I like how there's still like trees and nature and like greenery inside the mall. Obviously, it's all fake.
>> Is it? Is it fake or real?
>> It's fake.
>> Oh, okay. But it it makes it looks makes it look nice, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. This This is the This is the fanciest Dunkin Donuts I've ever seen.
It looks so nice in there. And that is how you That's how you spell Duncan in Arabic.
>> There's a matalan.
>> A matalan. I've never seen a Matalan in Asia before.
>> That's British, right?
>> Or is it American?
>> I've only ever seen it in UK.
>> That's crazy. Should we keep going this way?
>> Sure.
>> Second cup. Lots of nice coffee shops.
Lots of places to chill out. Information desk down there. Yeah. Oh, okay. So, that's I can see the sign. It was called a hypermarket.
>> So, that's why it was so big. It's like the biggest supermarket you can get, basically. So, it's like loads of different Wait, what does that mean?
>> Well, I think it just means it's a giant supermarket, >> basically.
>> Oh, okay.
>> Yeah, >> on the outside it looked huge to be fair.
>> Yeah, it did look absolutely massive.
>> Okay, so >> Oh, there's a train coming.
>> There's a train. Quick, get out.
>> Out of the way.
>> That's a staple of malls here in Asia and probably in the UK, these little trains that ride around. There's no one on it this time, though.
Yeah. Have you ever seen one of those in the UK before?
>> What? The train inside the mall?
>> Yeah, I don't think I have.
>> I don't think I have.
>> I feel like they would have it though.
There's no reason why they wouldn't.
>> Maybe London. We don't really venture out to London too much.
>> No, not too much. It's interesting. A lot of these shops I haven't seen before, but they're selling everything that I know. Like, they're not selling products that I've never seen before.
They're just in different stores, if that makes sense.
Yeah, there's a couple of sports shops, handbags, shoes, >> sporting section. I'm cold.
>> Are you cold? Yeah, it's nice.
>> AC is good.
>> It's nice in here. Yeah, it's really nice. It's really nice.
>> I tell you what, if you needed anything, if you needed anything, you can literally get it in this mall. I find there's literally everything from gadgets to, you know, accessories to clothes to tech.
>> Yeah, >> it's everything here.
>> Yeah, literally. And we've only been here for 5 minutes and we've already seen kind of everything that you could want to see in a mall. But it's really nice to escape the heat. I feel like this is our first mall we've done so far. I feel like we probably should have done a couple of cut a couple more here in Muscat because they're actually really nice to walk around and just escape the heat.
>> Okay, so we just come across this middle section. It is absolutely huge in here.
>> Yeah, it's a gorgeous building. I love the architecture in here.
>> Yeah, it's really nice.
>> Wo, was that tricky?
>> Oh my god. Yeah, that's scary.
There's just this gold thing right here.
>> Oh my god, it's so nice in here.
>> Do you want to check it out?
>> Oh my god, I can see a Nando sign.
>> Okay. All right. You see the Nando sign?
>> They've got Nando here in Oman.
>> All right, we're going.
>> Let's go.
>> Let's go.
>> Let's go. Let's go.
>> Let's go.
>> So, Nando is our absolute favorite restaurant at home or in any country where they have it. Um, so >> our chosen date night back at home. We literally used to go to Nando like three times a week.
>> Yeah. Yeah. We absolutely love it. So, we're going to check it out. And hopefully it's as good. It's as good as it is back in the UK. Fingers crossed.
>> Yeah. So, it is lunchtime. So, what better place to spend it than in Nandos.
>> There's a roller coaster.
>> Oh my god. Is there what >> is there an indoor theme park here?
>> I'm so confused. I mean, it looks sharp.
This mall just keeps throwing out surprises, doesn't it?
>> Yeah, it really does.
>> I'm too excited about this, Nando.
>> Oh no. Okay, it's opening soon.
No, you look so sad.
Are you kidding me? It's opening soon.
Well, is there any others nearby?
>> I don't know. Should I have a look?
>> Yeah, have a look.
>> Oh man, I'm so sad now.
So we've come downstairs and there is more shops down here which some of them we actually do recognize. We've got a H&M which we recognize and then the Claire's there's Bain Boots. So there is shops. There is shops here that we do recognize but in the west it's nice that they've got kind of a massive variety here. Is this the main shopping mall then in Muscat?
>> Maybe it is.
>> Okay. Okay, so we've had a look online.
There is actually another Nando about 10 km away.
>> Okay. Well, let's head up to the food court. We might as well check out the food court while we're here.
>> Do you know where the food court is?
>> Um, I saw that they were on the signs here.
>> It's on the top floor.
>> Food court straight that way.
Um, let's see if anything's calling our name for lunch. And if not, we could drive to Langos.
>> Yeah, we could do.
>> I'm so gutted. I really want to know.
>> I know. That's kind of got my hopes up now.
Like I really really want I now really really want Orlando because it's like dangled it in front of us.
>> Yeah. I feel like I can taste it.
>> I know. And smell it.
>> I feel like I can taste it and smell it even though it's not actually here.
>> Okay, so we've just come up to the food court and we have seen this massive entertainment section. It's humongous.
Oh my god, there's so many games in there. But me and Sam could spend so so long in there. And I believe the bowling's just at the top there, too.
So, we might have to come back and check out this area. Have some fun in the arcade. Me and Sam love an arcade. And I've also seen as well here. There's a roller coaster inside this mall. We've only ever seen that in Malaysia, which is crazy. It smells so good.
>> Yeah, it >> smells so good here. Do you know what it's called by name?
>> What?
>> The Pizza Hut?
>> No. Really?
>> Yeah.
>> Really? Yeah, >> Amy wants a Pizza Hut in Oman. That's criminal.
>> We've got Burger King, McDonald's, Indian restaurant, pizza.
>> They got absolutely everything here.
>> Yeah, it's wicked. It's so good.
Shirazi, which I guess is Indian. Then Indian cuisine.
>> I don't know how much everything. Papa John's.
So, you could get a jack of potato for like 260.
>> Really? I'm quite surprised. It's quite cheap up there.
>> Yeah, the food's not as expensive as I thought it was going to be.
>> I don't think the food court's that big.
I think this is it.
>> No, it's on the other side as well.
They're more restaurants.
>> Okay. So, >> this is like takeout style and the other side is restaurants.
>> KFC.
>> Oh, there's a KFC as well.
>> Okay. Do you want to have a look at the restaurants or?
>> Yeah, let's go have a look. Oh, there's a giant arcade over there. Amusement center.
>> Oh, we love arcades, don't we?
>> Yeah, but is it going to be really expensive here?
>> Probably.
>> Let's get some food first. Should we go have a look at the other end? Cuz there's a food hall over there.
>> Yeah, we're just we're just walking to the food hall. And there's some really cool pods here.
>> Yeah.
>> Charge your phone, sit down, relax.
Very cool. Oh, see that the inside of that place looks like a Nando, too, but it's not. It's an Indian restaurant.
Rasmazan urban Indian. Is there even >> the food court's shut?
>> Oh, okay.
Okay. Yes.
>> Ah, look. There's security in the uh there's rules in the mall.
>> Yeah. Not allowed to bring outside food into the food hall.
>> Okay.
>> So, what do you want to do? There's not a whole lot of food to be fair.
>> There's not a huge variety. There's a lot of Indian restaurants.
>> There's a Chinese restaurant over there.
>> It's Chinese.
>> Yeah. Hello.
>> Do you want Chinese food?
>> No. Not Not Chinese food from my man.
>> Yes. We found this info.
>> Oh, look. It says Nando's there.
>> Ground floor. That's the one we found though, is it?
>> Isn't it?
>> I don't know.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's the one just off the escalator. It must be opening so soon then.
Like if if if it's on the map already, it must be opening so soon.
>> So, what have we got then? Let's have a little >> have a little uh >> have a little gander.
>> Let's have a look at the information board categories. Yeah.
>> Food court, I guess.
>> Yeah.
>> There's a subway.
>> Subway.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Okay. So, not too much in the food court.
>> Just what we've seen then.
>> Is there anything else?
>> Oh, sorry.
>> I was going to have a look. What entertainment have they got?
>> Family entertainment cinemas.
>> Bowling cinema. And then there's fun things.
>> What do you want to look at now?
>> Uh shopping categories.
Oh my god, there's loads. Let's do fashion women. Oh, that's going to Oh, there's not too much actually.
>> It's good that it gives you a map of where everything is.
>> Yeah, >> we always look for these in malls and when they don't have them, we always get lost. Okay, so me and Sam may or may not have just ordered an O taxi to the closest open Andos. It's about a 13minute drive. So, we're going to head there for some lunch. So, we are so so hungry. And I can't believe there's a I can't believe that there is Hello. No, thank you. I can't believe that there is Nando here in Oman. We never knew that.
Our challenge is to go to every single Nando in the world. So, let's take Oman off the list.
>> So, we've just pulled into this um >> I guess parking area. And there's a wagger mama's here.
>> What?
>> I've just seen the Nando's reflection.
>> Have you?
>> There it is.
>> There it is.
>> We made it. We made it. This is ridiculous.
>> I can't believe we've come all this way.
Yes. Perfect.
>> Thank you so much.
>> It wasn't perfect.
>> Have a good day.
>> Thank you.
>> Oh, wow.
>> Where are we?
>> There's a wagon mas and a nandas. We love wagon mas back at home, but I've never seen it in any country other than the UK.
>> No, neither.
>> Oh my god. Let's Let's go. Let's go.
>> After you. After you.
>> I'm so hungry. Me, too. It's >> the best time to go to Nando when you're really hungry. It tastes even better.
>> Yeah. I wonder if it'll be busy.
>> Hello.
>> Hello.
>> Yeah. Wow. Oh, I'm so excited.
>> Do you want to sit in the corner?
>> Uh, yeah, sure. We're going to sit in the corner.
Thank you. We're in Nando.
>> I can't believe we're in Nando.
>> Okay, so they still got the uh >> we have a new drink also in the new dress.
>> Okay, >> thank you.
>> So, they've still got the hot to They got the plane to extra hot that we have in the UK. Oh, the menu looks so different. They've got rice bowls.
They've got chicken on a skewer, like a chicken kebab kind of thing. They got chicken wings.
They've got hummus with pulled chicken inside.
That is awesome. Okay. Add two regular.
Second regular side is 1.2. So six. So like £12 for each.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, for our entire >> Yeah, >> that's very similar to home prices.
>> Yeah, that is extremely similar to prices back in the UK. Wow.
Okay, so the food has arrived. Amy is buzzing. One thing I will say is it's not our favorite kind of garlic bread.
>> Yeah, garlic bread is still very Asian style. We like it burnt and really crispy.
>> But Oh, thank you so much.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank you.
>> Um, all looks so good though. So expensive here in Oman. Very, very expensive. So, we've gone for a little concoction where we we're going to share lots.
>> Yeah, >> that chicken is steaming hot.
>> Yeah, that looks insane. I've got high expectations for that. Right, let's set up.
>> Put on my garlic bread.
>> These look unreal. And >> there we get a little bit of chicken.
>> Um, >> yum.
>> It's been a hot minute since we've had a Nando. Is it good?
>> That is so good. That might be one of the best mandos I've ever had in Asia.
>> Really?
>> That's so good. You need to try it.
>> Okay.
>> Okay. So, we both did opt for hot. So, let's see if we can handle the spice here at Oman, right?
>> You just can't get better.
Okay. All right. Cheers.
Good.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Is it spicy?
>> No.
>> Not that spicy.
>> No.
>> But be hot.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, right. Let's tuck it in.
>> So, we're all finished up. Absolutely demolished. We definitely didn't order enough, but we had to we had to budget because we're budget backpackers, but >> Well, because Well, no, because the Oman menu was really expensive.
>> It's just as expensive as back home.
Yeah. Back home in the UK.
>> Yeah.
>> But pretty much all the food is done.
Just a few bones left over. It's >> been wiped clean, which if I could eat them, I would.
>> Yeah.
>> Like I want more.
>> No, I feel really satisfied. I feel really sat I'm very happy. Earlier I was craving a Nando, but I'm very happy now.
>> Yeah. And we always come out of Nando like, "Oh, I can't move. I need to lay down. I need to sleep." Cuz we always like overeat in Nando because we love it so much. So it's good that we're not feeling like that and we're feeling just satisfied.
>> Yeah. Like I could go for a walk right now.
>> Yeah.
>> Whereas sometimes coming out the the Nando, especially in the UK, I'm about to explode cuz I'm so full.
>> We could literally sleep in the car.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Thank you so much.
>> Byebye.
>> Thank you guys.
>> Oh yeah. We've already done it.
>> I've done it. Yeah, done it. Thank you so much.
>> Just left them a review. It was so so so good. Best Nando we've had in a long, long time.
>> Yeah, they were very friendly as well.
>> Nando Corum >> quarum >> quarum.
>> Nando quarum >> karum. Um, so that ended up costing around 10 Ammani reel, which is about 20 British pounds. So we've spent much more in Anandos for both of us, but we did share uh a half a chicken and got four sides. So it's probably about the same price as the UK one to be honest, which obviously we love the UK. We love the UK. We think it's the best in the world.
So I would say the UK is a little bit better.
>> Not to be biased.
>> Not to be biased. Not to be biased, but our local Nando is the best Nando >> for sure.
>> Okay, it's time to head to the beach.
>> Hello.
>> Hello.
>> Hello.
>> Okay, so we've made it Oh, hello.
>> My god.
>> We've made it to the beach.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank you.
Hello.
>> Do you see him jump over that little thing?
>> Oh no.
>> Okay, >> so we're going to see our first beach here in Oman.
>> I know. I can't believe this. We've waited so long to come to see a beach.
>> Yeah, it's really nice. It's really busy.
>> There's so many people. People are doing press ups. There's >> so many beaches.
>> Okay. Are you ready?
>> Yeah. I think I'm ready to touch some beach sand.
>> We just missed the sunset, unfortunately.
>> I know.
>> He was driving so slow, especially for an Ammane.
>> Yeah. And he took a while to find us as well. So, unfortunately, we have missed the sunset, >> but it's still nice to walk along at dusk.
>> Hey, what? Up that way?
>> Yeah, let's do it.
>> Everyone go there. Run.
Hey. Yeah. Everyone's going for runs, aren't they?
>> Yeah.
Get the dogs out.
>> Get the dogs out.
>> You carrying mine. Thanks. Don't get my shoes in it. Like these. Sorry.
>> Here you go. Oh, wow.
>> Yeah, I know. That was a little bit uh like rocky, wasn't it? There. Okay.
>> Here's our first beach in Oman.
>> Lovely.
>> Actually, really nice sand.
>> Yeah. It's really nice to walk along, isn't it?
>> Yeah. It's pretty soft.
>> No one's swimming there.
>> No. I wonder why.
>> Cuz they can't take the clothes off.
>> Ah, of course.
>> Probably.
>> We are right by the like two most famous um hotels here in Muscat. So, there's a lot of tourists around in this area.
>> Lots of restaurants as well. Yeah, >> it does feel really weird being on a beach >> like fully closed.
>> Yeah.
>> Is it warm?
Oh, they might go away.
>> Yeah, I might lose our cross.
>> Nice.
>> Nice. Oh, your trousers is going to fall.
>> It's weird being in the sea and being on a beach when a couple days ago we were in the desert and there was no water. Oh my my trousers are wet.
>> That's so true.
>> There was no water anywhere to be seen, but now we're on a lovely beach at sunset.
>> Like it's just crazy that you can have such contrasting, >> you know. That's so true.
>> Such a contrast really not that far from each other.
>> Well, no, if you think about it, we were what only about a 2 and 1/ half hour drive from the desert.
>> The mountain's not that big really, is it?
>> Well, no. We is We didn't go that far in it.
>> That's true. That's very true. Oh, the sand is so nice.
>> Yeah, it's like squidgy sand.
>> Yeah, it's nice. It's not rocky. It's really soft sandy. It's really nice.
>> Yeah, I like it here. Oh, there are some people in the sea.
>> They just got in.
>> Oh, do they just get in?
>> Yeah.
>> Well, I'm glad we came. Yeah.
>> Should you have a stall?
>> Yeah.
>> Come on then. You got to get my It's funny because now the sun's it's funny because now the sun's gone down.
It's obviously not the peak of the day and it's not that hot now. So people are actually going out doing their runs.
>> Loads of people running and exercising.
Are you all right?
>> Yeah, I'm just sorting out my >> Look, there's loads of people running down there.
>> I was like from a running club, I think.
>> Were you just saying cuz the sun goes down, everyone is now up and about doing their exercise?
>> Yeah. Yeah, cuz it's not as hot.
>> This is really nice. Again, look, we've got all these trees. I'm guessing that Are they coconut or dates? They look like coconut trees to me.
>> Coconut trees, >> but considering we're in Oman, I don't know.
>> No, probably date trees.
>> Yeah, but if you look at the top.
>> Yeah. Looks like you can see coconuts.
>> It does.
>> It's really nice here.
>> Yeah.
>> It's really relaxed, really chill.
>> Everyone just comes to enjoy themselves, huh? Ah, >> nice. Have a little stroll while the sun's gone down.
>> Yeah, there a little outdoor gym over there.
>> Oh, that makes sense.
>> I do it with my toe. I want to get it under my nails.
>> A, >> it's a love heart.
>> That's a really good heart.
>> It actually is, isn't it?
>> Love you.
>> Love you.
You're turning your back to me. I was trying to face you.
>> Here you go.
This is what I have to say.
I love you.
What's that?
Oh, look at you.
Last letter. Don't mess it up. Now dig your toe in.
That's too tight.
A look at this.
I love Oman.
>> Yeah. Amy's just looking at all these little pink shells. Show me one.
>> They're so nice. They're like like really hot pink or like Let me just make sure they're empty cuz I'm worried.
They're like really hot pink. That's pretty.
Look, they're like really hot pink or light pink.
>> Oh yeah, they're really cute. Really pretty.
>> They're really pretty.
>> A I like that. God, I've never seen so many pink shells >> in all my life. They were so pretty.
>> Look at the background.
Such a beautiful sunset.
>> Okay, so we are finally back from our day out exploring more of Muscat.
>> Yeah, we did actually get a coffee at the end of the day, but we were just chilling, relaxing, just just chatting, catching up. Yeah, we just sat, had a hot drink, watched the sun go down >> um on the beach front. It was lovely, but we are very, very sandy feet now.
>> Yeah, and we're very, very sleepy as well, I think.
>> Yeah, but lovely, lovely day. Another beautiful day here in Muscat. It was so nice to just go out and explore and see another side of Muscat. So, it was really nice.
>> Well, that was kind of our goodbye to Muscat, wasn't it?
>> So, it was nice. Oh, yeah.
>> It was nice that we went to a mall, we went to the beach, we went to a mosque, like three things we haven't done before.
