When choosing between online business platforms, the decision should align with your primary business model: comprehensive platforms like Kajabi are better for those building integrated businesses with courses, email marketing, funnels, and automations, while community-focused platforms like Skool are superior for those prioritizing engagement, simplicity, and organic discovery through built-in marketplaces.

Skool Vs Kajabi (The Differences That Actually Matter)本站添加:
Thanks for checking out my comparison of School versus Kajabi. Now, before we jump in, I do want to mention that this isn't going to be a deep dive into every single feature, setting, button, or menu item inside each of these platforms.
There are hundreds of bells and whistles between both of these, and if I tried to cover every single one, we'd probably still be here sometime next Tuesday. So, my goal is much simpler. I want to help you understand the biggest differences, who each platform is really built for, and which one is likely the better fit for your business. Because let's be honest, if you're comparing these two platforms, you're probably not looking for a 2-hour software documentary. You just want to know what matters and which direction makes the most sense. So, with that in mind, let's start with Kajabi.
So, if you're building something bigger than just a community, Kajabi starts becoming very interesting. And before we go any further, a very quick heads-up because this is very time-sensitive.
From May 18th to June 2nd, Kajabi is running a massive 50% off promotion for new customers. And while most Kajabi promotions only lock that discount in for 6 months, if you use my special link in the description of the pin comment below, it extends it to a full 12 months instead. So, if Kajabi ends up being your winner by the end of this comparison, this is probably one of the better times to take a serious look at it. And even if you're still watching after June 2nd, still check out that link because there might still be something special there. Now, back to Kajabi.
So, one of the biggest reasons people use Kajabi is simple. It does almost everything. Courses, email marketing, funnels, landing pages, websites, communities, podcasts, coaching, digital downloads, automations, AI, and so much more. At some point, it was like Kajabi looked at an online business and said, "Yep, give us all of it all at once."
That's either going to sound amazing or terrifying.
Because Kajabi isn't really designed for someone who just wants a quick link in bio.
Kajabi feels more like software for people who are building an actual business. So, if you've sold something before, if you understand why email marketing matters, if you know you'll eventually want courses, funnels, websites, automations, and communities all working together, Kajabi starts making a whole lot of sense. And another big advantage is going to be course creation, as you can see right here.
Kajabi does an excellent job of helping you organize lessons, upload videos, add downloads, create offers, and deliver a polished learning experience overall.
It's one of those platforms where things generally feel professional right out of the box. And branding is another major reason people also go with Kajabi, given that nice, polished, and professional look.
What's also interesting is that Kajabi has been around since 2010, which is internet years basically qualifies it for retirement. But apparently somebody at Kajabi decided old dogs can actually learn new tricks, as you can see by the five new products down below that they've recently added: Backstage, Amplify, MCP, Expert Agents, and even Co-Founder here. And these aren't tiny updates. Backstage is focused on creating more personalized client experiences. Co-Founder acts like an AI business partner helping guide your next steps. Expert Agents expand AI support even further. Amplify focuses on helping creators reach a larger audiences.
And MCP helps Kajabi work more closely with AI tools outside the platform. So, while Kajabi has been around forever, it definitely doesn't feel like it's standing still. And those are some of the biggest benefits and reasons why you'd want to use Kajabi.
Now, of course, let's flip the script and talk about why you choose School.
Because while Kajabi is trying to be your website, email platform, funnel builder, course platform, and half of your tech stack, School takes a little bit of a different approach. Its philosophy is basically let's keep this simple. And honestly, that's a big reason why so many people love it. When you first log in the School, you're not staring at a dashboard that looks like it could launch a rocket into orbit.
You're looking at something that's much more cleaner, focused, easy to understand, and most importantly, hard to mess up. And one of the biggest reasons people choose School is the community experience, and who would have thought School has one of the best because it's so popular and there's a lot going on. In fact, I'd argue that's where School shines the brightest.
You're not just creating courses here, you're creating engagement, conversations, discussions, accountability, and that matters most because a lot of people don't quit courses because the content is bad, they quit because nobody notices when they disappear. And School does a great job of keeping people involved through points, leaderboards, gamification, and community interaction. And another huge advantage is going to be discovery, aka their homepage. Unlike a lot of platforms out there where you have to bring every visitor yourself, School has its own internal marketplace and discovery system, meaning people can actually find your community from School itself, and that's a pretty big deal.
And the final reason I'd look at School is going to be their simplicity and overall pricing. If you're brand new, if you're launching your first offer, if funnels sound exhausting, if you don't want to spend a week learning software before making your first dollar, School is incredibly appealing. You can focus more on your content and community and less on configuring a bunch of settings.
That's also why so many people find School easier to get started with compared to Kajabi. Less setup, less complexity, less chance of falling down a YouTube tutorial rabbit hole for 6 hours. And of course, their pricing helps, too, especially with School's newer hobby pricing, which is $9 a month. So, if you're looking for the simplest path from idea to launch, School makes a very strong case there.
So, when it comes to the final verdict, I don't really think this comes down to which platform is better, I think it comes down to which platform fits you.
If you're building a business around courses, coaching, email marketing, funnels, websites, automations, and you want everything working together under one roof, Kajabi is probably the stronger choice.
Especially with the 50% off promo running from May 18th to June 2nd for that extended 12-month discount, definitely looks better during that time period. But, if your biggest priority is community, if you value simplicity, if you want something easy to understand and easy to launch, Skool becomes incredibly attractive.
Kajabi gives you so much more, and Skool asks less from you. And honestly, that's probably the simplest way to explain the difference.
So, if you want to check either platform out for yourself, I put links to both down below in the description and the pinned comment. My name is James. Thank you so much for watching this comparison of Skool versus Kajabi, and I'll see you in the next video.
