Last night during the live, I had a few people, like I think two, three or more ask me about a video that I put out some years back about when we had turned the Chinese people out at our at the Chinese restaurant on 51st in Avalon.

[00:01:23]And I tried to go back. I tried to find a video so I wouldn't have to read that because they like, "Man, Ton, tell us that again. Tell us again. Tell us again, man. We want to hear it." And I tried to find it so I could re-upload it. I can't even find it. So, you know what?

[00:01:41]With no further ado, I'mma give y'all the story cuz remember, if I tell you I told you, if I tell it if I tell you a story once, I can tell it twice. Little certain stuff might differ, but it be it's going to be on point. Um cuz that and that that was a funny story. It really was a funny story, man. But um man, this story go back to back in the 80s, man, when I got out. Now, if you remember a couple of months ago or a few months ago, a lot of the little youngsters from Five Trey, they was doing a hood vlog right on 51st and they was standing on side of that same Chinese restaurant and a little bitty Chinese lady came out and was telling them like, "Go, go, go, y'all go, y'all go, y'all go." Now, you know that right there has been going on for a thousand years. The only difference is if that would have happened back during my time, we' have ran grandma back up in there and told her, "Shut up. You better get on up out of here." You know what I'm saying? We born and raised right here.

[00:02:45]You came from across the water. You better get on up out of here before we burn this whole spot down. You know, and I'mma leave with that into how it took place with the video I'm f to tell you about. Um that that that that that that's ground zero for the fire trace. That little Chinese restaurant that whether it was a Goldenberg chicken back in the day a this place, that place, hamburger stand, but it didn't make no difference. It was ground zero. In fact, before I caught this case and went to Alabama, me and my and my homie OG cartoon, see I'm bit cartoon, but there's one over me. OG cartoon. We were going to buy that place. And the only reason why we didn't buy it is because I got locked up in Alabama. But yeah, we were going to buy that place. But um that's ground zero.

And anyway, what it took place was some years ago back in the 80s, homies was writing on it and the one little Chinese dude, he would come out with a big paint and he would paint over it. Okay. So now we sitting right across the street in South Park watching them do this. Paint over it.

Like man, you tripping to the point we got to the point where we had to tell him, "Hey, homie, look, check this out. Stop painting over our hitups."

No. We was writing on this building when y'all was over there a thousand miles away across the water uh riding on Rick Shaws. We going to write on these buildings. Don't come over here with that foolishness. We born and raised, not y'all that get on up out of here. You'll come to work and the building won't be here tomorrow. you tripping, you know, you know, stop. So anyway, got past that, man. Then another incident arose.

[00:05:14]We in the park and dude was in the was in there watered out, shamemed up or whatever, but he's nodding out. They had a little young black female that was working behind the counter.

[00:05:28]The little homies went in there and robbed the dude. You know what I'm saying? He nodding out, you know? He he he going in and out. Noding out. They hit his pockets.

[00:05:37]She the little the the little black girl that was working in there when the homies ran out came across the street to the park. She called the police. What?

[00:05:47]Oh no. That now that was a straight up no no. You done funked out of bounds, home girl. You done called the police in the turf on some of the little homies and you not even from around here.

[00:06:00]Nowhere. Don't nobody even know where you from. Don't even know you. and you calling the police. So, no, that was a no no. We end up had to go back up in there and let them people know, hey, look how she got to go. She can't stay.

[00:06:13]She can't No, she can't work here no more. She calling the police doing this and that. No, no, no, no, no. Either she go or all y'all go. But she leaving regardless. Now, the only difference is she can go by herself or y'all can go with her. But she got to go. She getting up off. She getting up about the avalons and them people they they finally got the message when it seen it got serious.

[00:06:37]It got real serious up in there. You know what I'm saying? And they went on and let her go. Yeah, she had to go. You ain't going to figure you you not even from over here. You over here calling the police on young homies. No, home girl. Fine. You another spot.

[00:06:50]But now this place right here, man, let me show you something. They had a burrito called a teriyak burrito. a teriyak burrito. Man, this is and was the best burrito I have ever tasted in my life. It was good. Nice, man. This burrito was good. Had that teriyak sauce in it. Man, this burrito was jumping.

[00:07:19]And I always was going in there getting them. Homies was getting them. We was but see we hung out up in here and they didn't like it because you know anybody that was coming by that wanted to get at the five trays that's where they would shoot at. All type of stuff was going on right right there on that corner right there. Ground zero man. So anyway it was going down. The homies they would always do the same thing. Want the hom No. Go.

[00:07:46]Want the homies to leave from in front of the building. Don't stand here. Ah.

[00:07:51]So, you know, it was a constant back and forth with these people, man. They was really getting on our nerve. You know what I'm saying? Constant back and forth. Constant back and forth. So, one day I come up with a bright idea. I said, "You know what? H me being greedy, I I I I went to him. I said, "Listen, give me a job security right here. Give me a job and I'll make sure don't nobody hang over here. No problem. Don't you know you won't have no problems. So they want nothing to do with me. They see me as a ring leader troublemaker. They were like, "No, no, you no. No, no, you no.

[00:08:30]No, no, no, no, no, no." So I'm haggling with them. I'm going back and forth. I'm like, "Y'all ain't got to y'all ain't got to pay me no money. Just let me eat for free. Just let me eat for free."

[00:08:40]And so after going back, I say, "Look, see all these youngsters?" Because the homies coming in and out. They hanging in the front, up, down Avalon, up down 51st. They just hanging and swanging and banging. I say, "Look, people don't like them. When they come through pow, they going to shoot at them. They going to hit your glass, shoot your glass out." All this sort of stuff. You know what I'm saying? Pow.

[00:09:06]And they they they they didn't believe it. They didn't believe it until until it happened. They didn't believe it until it happened. See, they had they had they had to get the wrong end of the stick to really really understand. But this is what went on right here. You know, I go to him. I'm like, "Hey, man.

[00:09:24]I could keep them over there in the park. Over there in the park. You ain't got to worry about it over there in the park." So the dude thought about it. He was like, "Okay."

[00:09:44]Not here. Not here. I'm like, "Yeah, they won't be here. They won't hang out right here." You know what I'm saying?

[00:09:49]You ain't got to worry about keep getting your window shot out. You ain't got to worry about it. I got you. So the dude said, "Okay." He said, "Cool, cool." So now I go to all the little homies. I'm like, "God, check this out, homie. Woo woo. Y'all just hang over there across. Y'all hang in the park.

Now I can show I can show you some footage right where we was hanging at that really pissed them off cuz dudes come through shooting at us. They miss blow the windows out. All type of stuff. This where we this this Okay, that right there is that's the that's that's that's the Chinese restaurant right there. That's the famous Chinese restaurant. Now you got to remember back in the 80s that gate wasn't there. That that's the wall right there that we was writing on. Would write on that wall every day all day.

[00:10:45]That's the corner 51st and Avalon right there. You know what I'm saying? Very dangerous corner. Hang out at your own risk. It's on you. You know what I'm saying? But the homies don't give a dang. They going to hang out 247.

[00:11:06]Now, here's a little bit more of a visual. That's uh that's Chinese restaurant right there where they hanging at. That's directly in front of it. As you can see inside, that's right on the corner.

[00:11:19]As you can see inside of it, you know, they got still got the Chinese restaurant signs up. That's right there in front of it.

[00:11:27]And the same way you see all them little kids out there hanging. We did the same thing back in the 80s. We just we just looked it a little different. You know what I'm saying? If you know what I mean? We just looked at it a little different. But yeah, right there in front of it. See, that's what they didn't like because with all them gang bangers standing in front of it, of course it's going to draw, you know, it's going to draw enemies. It's that's the famous sign. Now that that's now, you know, you hanging out. Look, they f to show you bullet holes in there right today. You know what I'm saying? There go There go There go some There goes a bullet hole that's up in there.

[00:12:06]There goes on the side. That's the side of the building where everybody them bullet holes right there in it. And that's, you know, hanging in the front.

We just dressed a lot different then. And it back then we was ged up from the from the flow up to the toe up. You know what I'm saying? Ged up. Canes hats standing around the whole hookup. But right there that place has looked the same ever since then. It's been owned by different people, different companies, different things, but it still looked the same.

[00:12:46]And so the the dude the the owner the Chinese dude owner he didn't want us standing there like that man. So when I got the job I had the homies man. Y'all go over there. Y'all go over there. So now it was going good for a minute. But now the the you know the the set is going to be the set man. Some things ain't going to never change. It just ain't going to never change man. So when once I made my way up in there you know of course the homies wasn't going to just stay over there all the time. They they come right back. You know what I'm saying? They come right back. Now the homies selling dope and doing some of everything up in there. They doing their thing, man. And um Papaan, we gave him a name. Called him Papa. Papaan, he started smoking, man.

[00:13:33]And and he started doing he started doing his thing. When he started, man, there goes the neighborhood that Hey, everything start crumbling, man. Man, listen. Let me tell you something, man.

[00:13:44]It got to the point, man, homies was up in there. Cuz the wife in Chinese culture, the man runs everything. So if the man is running up in there, if he run, well, if he running, he ain't saying nothing about the homies coming in there like that. The the mama, the kids, and all them, they can't really say nothing. So man, look, the homies in there messing with him. They got him throwing up gang signs. They man, they they done turned him out, man. Got him claiming the set. All he want to do is get high. got him claiming to set man the homie man we in there frying on the back fries cooking food ain't nobody coming in there to buy nothing no more because everybody's scared that you know the homies going to rob them homies going to shoot them homies going to do something to him so was no regular people coming in there no more the homies back there man sitting on the grills frying their own food just going off doing the most man turn mama out so we c we we told them man we gonna put y'all on the that we going to have y'all gang banging. So they were like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, man." They running around throwing up Avalon the best way they could. Turned him out, turned her out, turned the whole family out, man. Had him wearing blue rags and he look, he standing in the front throwing up the set now. You know what I'm saying? High as a kite. Homies done turned them out, man. Stuff getting sold up out of there. They had to go, man. I guess so. I guess one day they came to their senses say, "Hey man, look this ain't it. This ain't cool, man. Look man, y'all they done we done flipped the whole family." You know, um at any given time, man, the home girls coming in there. What you want to eat? Homies making it, got the side door open, the running in and out, man. You know, next thing I know, you know, homie selling their stuff up out of there. Uh, Papa Son, we told Papa Son, man, we gonna call you Papa Son. Yeah, you the homie Papa. He be like, "That right cuz he trying to throw up." See, I'm Papa. I'm Papa from Avalon. We called the wife Mama Son, man. You mama, you the home girl. You mama sign. And she like, "Okay, mama. Mama, you know." And man, turned them man.

[00:15:59]Flipped they wig, man. They didn't know where they was going or coming, man. We destroyed that whole family, man. Ain't nothing to brag about. But boy, look here. One day they just said, "Look, they can't do it no more. They up and got ghost, man. They It was like the Beverly Hill Billy. They packed up their bags and they moved to Beverly Hills."

[00:16:18]That is and just man got ghost and never came back. Never came back, man. Never came back, man. Them people said, "Look, we through with this. We through with this, man. We through with this." Homies in there writing on the walls. just turned that whole thing out, man. Just just turned it out. We was in the back, in the front, on the roofs. Hey, they was like, "Look, we gotta go. Hey, we gotta go." So, man, yeah, man. That was the story of Mama Son and Papa Son, man.

They was like, "Man, that was some funny times back then, Mike." But as you can see, man, the mo, you know, they got a saying, the more things change, the more they remain the same. The same way you just seen all them little youngsters hanging out right there.

[00:17:48]Ain't no difference. Only difference is was the dress code. They nowadays, they just wearing anything. Back back in the day, we had a dress code. You know, gang bangers had a dress code, certain type of way to dress. But right there, hanging out, same thing. Same. And it's a trip, man. It blow your mind, man.

[00:18:06]Generation after generation after generation. You talking about from the 1970s all the way to 2026, man. Y'all do the math on that. And it's the same thing going on. Some people would say, "Man, that's sad, man. That's good." You know, but that's LA for you.
