Exploiting Solarpower for INFINITE Money in Cities Skylines 2...本站添加:
These solar panels is making $2.5 million per hour. But how did I get here in the first place? It is not like you can just start a new city and spam down solar panels because for one, they cost $1.5 million each. And secondly, you need five development points to unlock them. So, here is how I built a mega solar power plant that made me tens of millions of dollars. Subscribe not to miss any future videos and let's begin.
The first important choice is actually which map to take. And this is important because if you take a snowy map like mountain village, each solar panel will have a negative efficiency because of a lack of sunlight. Some of the best vanilla maps are acappella Joe Heaven, Lakeland, and Verdant Veil, but all of them are either northern hemisphere or southern hemisphere apart from one Sunshine Peninsula, which is right at the equator. But I decided to go even crazier by choosing another place at the equator, North Sentinel Island. With the map loaded up, we have two things we have to get done. Number one, we need to unlock the solar power plant. And number two, we somehow have to make $1.5 million to afford it. So, here we have our starting tile, built out a grid, as well as the most efficient shape for residential area. Connected everything up with the main highway. I did all of the zoning, got in some basic services.
For now, I built a small wind park for electricity. That also gives us enough XP to unlock milestone 1. I added all the services to make people happy. And then I let the city grow.
North Sentinel Island is coming along great. We even unlocked milestone 2, small village. That gives another two development points. So, we can start getting the emergency battery station.
And now we are only missing two more points to unlock the solar power plant that we will need for this exploit. So for now we need to work on getting the next milestone because that gives three points which will be enough for us. So I just worked on building out more space for the residents. I heard the residents here aren't too nice to strangers. I zone more space for the industrial area.
I built a small elementary school even with a nice upgrade. These always make the buildings look so much nicer. I placed down the first special building that we unlocked. And since we have a large over production of electricity because of our wind turbines, I wanted to start exporting this excess electricity. But we have no connection to the outside yet. So I went ahead buying some more tiles straight to the outside. These water tiles are just 44k.
That is really, really cheap. Let's get those. I took a high voltage power line.
Get that from the outside to our wind farm where I placed a small transformer station. And just like that, we are exporting electricity. And that's making us a solid 50k of profit per month. With that, I also hit milestone 3, giving us the missing three development points, which I immediately used to unlock the solar power plant. Now that we can build the building needed for today's exploit, I'm only missing $1.5 million to build the first one, but I only have 500k in the bank. So, either I'd have to raise taxes or I could use some creative financing options. But why would they only give me 450k of alone? That's not enough. But since I have a beautiful island with a lot of friendly people walking the street and a beautiful view, I just decided to wait it out.
With that, I now have $1.5 million in the bank, which, well, I want to immediately spend because we can finally get a nice solar power plant. It's just really, really big. So, I'm going to have to place it here on the other side of the highway. Oh, and there goes all of our money. Ooh, but quick rewind.
Before we build this, we made about $15,000 an hour. Now, we just making 9,000 an hour. But keep this in mind while we build it so we remember where we end up. I need to connect this thing up with a road because in contrast to the wind turbines, these solar power plants, they have jobs, they have employees, 32 employees, and it's running at 38% efficiency because, well, there is a lack of water. So, let's get another water tower. Ooh, but I don't have money for it. So, I will at this point take a small loan of like what?
100k. That should be fine. Make sure we have plenty of water around for everything. And now if we click back on our solar power plant, it's making 187 megaww. Yeah, that's not too bad. We have 32 employees and we're running at 94% efficiency. We have a few sick employees and not so happy employees, but we're still only making 7K an hour and that's because we're still only exporting like 50 megawatt of electricity. So we have to build another high voltage power line as an outside connection. So we can export more. Let's just drag this all the way out. And just like that, we're up to $21,000 a month.
28. So basically 30. We just doubled the income of our city with this one tiny solar power plant. Well, it's not that tiny, but we can do even better. I need another 600,000 for this advanced tracking system. And the efficiency is not at 100% because of employee happiness. So for a while, let's continue building out our city and get the happiness back up. So we are making the most out of the solar power plant we have. People are unhappy about high crime risk. So with the limited money I have, I just built a small police station. Then I built out a few more roads.
This time for some highdensity, low rent housing, more medium density towers, a few offices, a few businesses, and even more medium density housing. I also paid back the small loan we took. And now the major thing left over is lack of entertainment and unreliable internet service. So I spent some more development points on parks. I bought them a nice winding park. So the coverage here is green everywhere. I bought them a telecom tower. That way entire North Central Island has internet now. And with us now making more than double to what we made before and happiness on the rise again. I was happy with just waiting it out once more.
Now that I have another $2 million in the bank. Well, for one, it seems like we are running out of water again. Maybe we'll get a water pumping station this time. Here, a small trick. The water output depends on the depth. So, I'm only getting 40 cubic m right here. But I can just take the terraforming tools, destroy the natural coastline here, just make everything deeper. And just like that, I can get the maximum water output. Connect that up with a dirt road. And just like that, we should have enough water once more. Then we have enough money for the next solar upgrade.
Look at that. We're making $33,000 an hour right now. But I can add this advanced tracking system for 600k. Let's throw that on. Then we need to wait for a tiny bit. And just like this, we're making $46,000 a month. The other upgrades are not that useful. High voltage substation and backup battery.
It's all not really that worth it. But as a whole, this solar power plant is running at 108% efficiency because of employee happiness. It's producing 323 megawatt of electricity and our profits just jumped up again to $55,000 per hour. And basically all the electricity we're producing here is all exported.
We're exporting 352 megawatt. And that means we're already making 500k a month just from electricity exports. And it also means that even with the zero taxes, we would be making money just from service trade. So at this point, it might already be obvious where I want to take this by adding more and more solar power plants. But since they are so large, the next challenge is where to actually build them. And sure, I can buy more tiles. Like this one, it would cost me 109,000. But it's actually way way smarter just buying water tiles just as this one, which costs just 10,000. it has the same amount of space. Then I'll just go ahead take the level terrain tool and build out a land bridge all the way over there.
That way we have plenty of space for solar power. So for example, I can get the next solar power plant and just put that over here. They also give lots of XP. So, we're unlocking all the next milestones pretty fast. As a side benefit, it's kind of convenient that they are already here at the edge of the map, so I can easily export the electricity, but they do require roads because workers actually do need to get here. So, I'm connecting a dirt road all the way up to the mainland. Ooh, and something is happening here that I didn't plan for. We still have the sewage out over here, which, well, that's not a good choice because it's actually flooding the area we need for solar panels. So, I just um need to relocate it. But where though? We are pumping our water from here. Maybe I'll put it all the way on the right here. I hope that this will work out and that the pollution won't get so big that we will suck in our polluted water ourselves. But we'll find out by the end of this video. The new solar power plant, of course, also needs the advanced tracking system upgrade. With that, it is also making 300 megawatt of electricity, and our profits jumped up to $73,000 an hour. At this point, we should already start planning for expansion. After all, all these solar power plant need employees and they even need educated employees. 16 out of 32 need to be educated. Eight need to be well educated. So, I immediately want to start to prepare for a larger solar farm by building out another village out here just for the workers of these solar power plants. That way, they have a shorter path to their job. I'm actually a really nice boss. Oh, and for some reason, there's just water on these roads. No idea what is happening here.
It might be from all the sewage water that's coming from up there. I don't know. Is it relevant? Can it flow into the ocean here? Maybe I built everything too flat, but it doesn't seem like anything's flooding. So, let's just ignore this as a graphics bug.
Then I zoned this new area with more medium density housing, even some mixed use, some shops. For some reason, everything is immediately underwater and even a few office zones. I really hope that this city will work well. Like, look at it. Every place I build is underwater, but it's working. No one is complaining. Now, the only thing we're missing here is an elementary school for good education. So, everyone here can become a solar engineer. I might even build a high school because why not? For now, I still don't have enough money to build a whole solar park. But now, imagine all of this filled with solar plants. Once I have that and once I'm making millions a month, I will turn North Sentinel Island into the craziest tourist attraction known to mankind, I will try to get all the tourists on here. But for now, I'm just going to wait for more money and cue the building time lapse.
Oh, look at this beauty. But I've never seen anything as horrendous as this. Why is there water everywhere? This game is literally so cooked. Every street is underwater. But people don't care. They are walking here. People are also walking and driving on the street. And even though there's water under literally every building, it is functioning perfectly. And we're making around $220,000 an hour now. And that is just with a total of 10 of these solar power plants.
So I have nine right here and one over here. But happiness and therefore also efficiency is not at its best. Minus 7% mail handling. Who knew that operating a solar power plant does require mail service? So let's get a few nice big post offices right here next to the solar power plants just so they are happy with all their mail. And that's almost everything. There's a bit of unreliable healthcare coverage. So I'll just provide another medical clinic.
Maybe even upgrade it. After all, we do have the money now. 5 million a month isn't too bad. That's almost four new solar power plants each month.
Unemployment is high at 6%, but that's also good because, well, we want to build more solar power and that will create more jobs. But at this point, I really hate how there's water everywhere here. I mean, this isn't a beautiful solar park as I wanted it to be. So, for the next tiles that we'll unlock, maybe let's just get all of this immediately.
I want to grab the level terrain tool.
Maybe add a bit of so like let's go up to here. That should be better. And fill this all up.
Oh yes. Nice. We can see it's slightly going up here. Oo, look at that nice green grass. The grass is always greener on the other side. But the nice thing is we don't have these water issues over here. Now we just need to bring a road there. Let's just go here next to these water towers. Bring it underground somewhat like this up to here. We need to bring it up. Activate the contour lines and just make sure that this road is all the way up here at the top. And we are once more ready to go for some more solar power plants. Apart from the fact that they apparently also require garbage. Where would the garbage come from? I mean, you're literally turning the sun. Where is it? Where's the sun even? Wherever it is, you're turning the sun into solar power. Why do you need garbage service? That's literally stupid. But okay, if you want that, you can have it, but not a landfill. We want to be sustainable. Let's unlock an incinerator plant so we make even more money from electricity because let's just put that here. It costs $1 million.
I get milestone 9, but we don't care about that. This plant turns trash into electricity. I'll give it some more garbage trucks. And we can also take this one and connect it to the outside.
Oh, and look at this. All these high voltage lines from these solar power plants going to the outside. It's looking somewhat crazy when all these here are complaining about garbage.
Let's better hope this incinerator plant does a good job because that also decreases efficiency. We don't want to have that. Plus, we actually have unlocked highdensity housing, and we have some more demand for it. The whole point of this city is not really to grow it, but we do need workers after all.
So, I just made a bit of space for some new homes. Let's put some big towers here and maybe also some more shops.
That should help. Ooh, and one thing we will also need, we can put this here next to the garbage plant. We are generating a lot of sewage. So, I'll just make a very, very big hole here.
Oh, I accidentally created a tower. I wanted the opposite here. Now I have a hole which is apparently instantly filling up. Maybe let's give it a connection to the outside. Oh, everything is flooding. This is horrendous. What is this? Wait, no way.
I'm flooding everything now. We need to stop this. I'll just remove it again.
But now I have a lot of water here.
Let's better hope this goes away soon. I just wanted to add some sewage somewhere. I guess we'll just continue dumping it into the water here. It's already looking horrible, but eh, who cares? We'll just get more sewage and hope everything will be fine. I might just go ahead and delete the water inlet here. I'll replace it with some more sewage outlets. And instead, I will just continue building our row of water towers. With all that working and profits looking good, it's time to make even more money so we can create a nice tourist town on Sentinel Island. So, here another building time-lapse.
A bunch more millions. millions have been spent and this time we don't have the ugly water issue anymore. So these solar plants are running perfectly. With those I'm making $7700,000 wait $775,000 a month to the point where taxes don't even really matter anymore. So let's just put them to zero. There's no point in even having those. The city is still making 50 million a month. And that's all from exporting electricity. So things are looking good. Oh, but uh not in the city. The city is apparently drowning in the air pollution from the poop water that we have over here. Let's have a look. Air pollution. Oh yeah, apparently it's really bad in the city.
I wonder why do solar power plants create poop water? But okay, that is not all too good because it is reducing citizen happiness. Oh, that is a major issue. But for now, I want to lay ground on our tourist area. After all, we need to spend our money wisely. Where do we want to put that? Maybe all the way over here where there is still a bit of untouched North Sentinel Island. Let's just get some tiles where nothing has been built yet. Maybe something like this would be nice. And for now, let's just lay around on this massive tourist project with a nice grand hotel. Right now, it will just be nothingness. Ooh, and we need wide streets for it. Let's spend some development points wisely.
Advanced road services, roundabouts, large roads, parking spaces. Oh, that's the good stuff. Plus, I'll already get the tourist attractions. We want this to be a great place. So, six lane road.
Very nice. Run that to the hotel and then to the main highway over here. We need our own sewage and electricity system because it doesn't reach over here. But since this is the tourist area, they will get a nice water treatment plant. Let's just put this here. Throw in some upgrades. Throw in some wind turbine for electricity and probably a groundwater pumping station.
Or I'll also just go with a water tower.
connect everything up. Plus, since we have some dirt roads here already, we do need some workers that will work in the hotel. After all, they have to come from somewhere. So, for now, I'll just put some low-end housing here, some medium density homes. That should help. And these are all the people that someday can work in this grand hotel. How nice is that? Let's also put a shopping mall here, and a nice kitchen. Very good.
That's a good start. We can start attracting people here. Everything is nice for them. The inhabitants live on these poor dirt roads and the actual people that work in these solar plants.
Yeah, they have different issues, but for now, if it works, it works. As long as it doesn't affect my solar power plant, but this is running at 111% because of employee happiness. Really, really good. I'm just seeing there is some garbage collection problems here.
So, maybe I'll just throw some recycling center on the side here. We get more milestones, but that doesn't really matter at this point. I'll give this recycling center more garbage trucks after all the distances are very very large. And now let's just watch the money pile in before we continue building.
At this point, my city is making $1.1 million an hour. That's $26 million a month. And like technically, my demand is through the roof. I have demand for literally everything. But why would I build anything else apart from solar panels at this point? I have to take care of employee happiness. And for some reason, I have lots of dead people and healthcare issues. But happiness is somewhat okay. I still have the polluted air issue from over here, but I'm not worrying too much because if I click on any of the solar panels, they're running at 113% efficiency, plus 14 employee happiness. That is perfectly fine. So, I'm also pretty sure the people that work here like work in this area. Let's have a look how many jobs do all of these solar panels create combined. So, let's just make a massive district. Get everything in here and let's have a look. There's 17,000 people living here.
Honestly, it looks like less. And then there are 6,800 jobs. So, the good thing is I can still build more solar panels and it should all work pretty much. There are some healthcare issues for these solar power plants and that is reducing efficiency.
So, let's just build a very expensive hospital. I'll also give it a helipad.
But I'll make sure that this is assigned only to the district where we have the solar panels. I don't want the heli going over here to the slums. That would be useless. Ooh, and speaking about slums, we do have good amounts of money in the bank right now. So, let's build our tourist empire. Let's see what we can build with 16 million. I'll just add more roads and then let's see what is the most expensive landmark. Paris 5.6, National Gallery of R 3.2, Notradam 5.6.
It seems like it's 5.6 million. How about Yeah, church maybe doesn't fit.
Let's just get a big ferris wheel and the national diet building. Why not?
This one looks really, really cool. So, this is our tourist district. And how many tourists do we actually have? City statistics. Tourists. Ooh, the number of tourists is growing. 600 tourists. That is actually really, really solid. Let's make sure they have good healthcare.
Let's make sure they have good death care. But I'll also turn this into a district and assign all these services to it. I'll now just spend all the money I have on tourist stuff. So maybe a nice observation tower, a medieval castle, water park sounds nice, sports park complex. Oh yes, we do need that. A soccer field, old lighthouse, Chinese gates, and a climbing center. So this is literally Disney World right now. I might add a bit more commercial buildings just in case like I need hotels and this kind of stuff, plus add a few more workers to the mix. Let's see if these tourist numbers will grow even further. It is looking good. Can you have a city with more tourists than people? I have no idea. But while we wait to see what happens with the tourists here, let's go for one final round of building more solar power plants.
Ooh, this was a big expansion. At this point, I have problems again getting workers and um I had sewage and water problems.
So, I built this island that is just dumping out sewage and collecting water.
I mean, this is literally crazy. But the efficiency of everything isn't as good as it could be. 30 73% that's so bad.
Sick employees, not enough employees.
Those are really issues, but issues we can fix. So, let's just buy everything up to here. Terraform. And then we can just build out a new city up here. I'll just add a small grid connecting everything to the outside. I'll get some highdensity buildings, a bunch of mixed use, lots of commercial, few offices, medium density housing, but then really importantly, we're going to need education, even a high school. We need well educated people for our solar power plants. We need police so they are happy. They need a medical clinic. They need a crematorium. They'll even get a firehouse. They'll get a post sorting facility and a telecommunications tower.
I'll connect them up with our existing amazing water and sewage grid. And right now they are still complaining about electricity, but oh, I do think we have plenty of electricity. So, let's just connect the solar panels up to there.
And here we go. Our solar panels are now making $2.5 million an hour. This is literally crazy. Sure, there are still problems in the city, but people don't matter here. Solar power matters. We're making 69 million in electricity and profit per month. Oh, that's great. And if we look over to our tourist area, we have more than 1,000 tourists a month at 30,000 population. It is also pretty nice. At this point, by the time I builds more solar panels, I've literally made the money back. If you want to see more crazy exploits like this, subscribe. Thank you for watching until the end. Have a great rest of your day and happy gaming.
