Hey I'm Brayden I don't want to be homeless here's how to support me

[00:00:00]Everybody, my name is Braden. I just had a long day out in the city.

[00:00:04]And I would just want to make a video kind of talking about my situation.

[00:00:10]I'm a little embarrassed to say that in a few days I'm going to be homeless.

[00:00:16]Well, I could do something about that. I could possibly extend the Airbnb I'm at.

[00:00:23]It's quite expensive though.

[00:00:26]And I don't want to be wasting money. I want to be wise.

[00:00:30]I feel like I'm spending a lot just to live short term.

[00:00:36]Trying to get in the OC. I had a meeting today to see an apartment. It was perfect. It was amazing.

[00:00:44]It was $500 security deposit and $1,100 to rent.

[00:00:52]>> [clears throat] >> So, super good opportunity. I have enough.

[00:00:56]What I don't have is twice that. You know, I can't say that I have any more than that. So, they're worried about next month cuz I don't have a job.

[00:01:12]Should just suck it up 5 more days, right?

[00:01:17]I don't even know if I would have got the opportunity to see the host though.

[00:01:21]So, I don't really want to think about the past.

[00:01:25]Just want to focus on what I can do now.

[00:01:27]I've been applying to places.

[00:01:30]I do think all this has something to do with my self-esteem unfortunately.

[00:01:34]I kind of want to talk about that more in my Minecraft videos and reflect on it, but I don't really know what I'm struggling with in the workplace.

[00:01:43]It's what I have to do. It's what I want to do to reach my goals in life.

[00:01:49]I'm really grateful for everything that my YouTube channel has brought me, but I don't think I can live off it. I'm planning to.

[00:01:58]Oh, if I ever could, that would be awesome. I still get bored during my days right now, and that's why I'm looking for a job. I mean, I need something to do.

[00:02:07]So way I can make money, and then I can afford my own housing. I can show proof of income. I just want to be reliable.

[00:02:16]Right? I believe no matter what, I'll be able to maybe earn enough housing money. I say that, but I don't know where it come from, donations.

[00:02:27]I'm pretty lucky to have gotten this far. I feel like just survived a year and a half on my own.

[00:02:41]The place that I went to tour today was a shared housing apartment, you know what I'm saying? Not a room with somebody, but there's about 30 people in the building.

[00:02:57]I can actually hear people talking in the halls, so it's like not the most ideal situation, but it's just what I got to do to not spend as much money, and just you know, if I'm in a cheap place like that, then I'll be able to save money.

[00:03:12]So way I can reach my goals like I talked about, cuz that's how I think I'm going to get there.

[00:03:18]I want to say I'm really thankful for all the outflow.

[00:03:22]I'm really lucky. Trying to save money, not buy any more food or anything. Not like I'm starving, but I have peanut butter and jelly and bananas, and I'm just really thankful for that. Eggs, too.

[00:03:34]I don't eat those much, but I'm trying to cut down on fast food and extend my food palette. So, if anybody has some suggestions, you know, just some stuff you like. Don't be like, "Now, here's the cheapest I I eat rice and bread." Okay, dude.

[00:03:53]No offense. I really appreciate all the advice, but you know, I like to make spaghetti and Alfredo and tacos and fajitas. Those are some of my favorite foods. I wish I could make them more frequently. I don't really have the supplies for that. I've only been staying in Airbnbs for the past few months since I turned 20 in January [clears throat] and before that for a year after I got kicked out because I didn't have a job I was staying in hotels. I'm just really tired of that type of environment.

[00:04:32]I don't think I'm going to be able to get into the housing, but I'm going to fill out the application right now.

[00:04:37]Send it to the landlord and just really, really hope that she believes in me because I told her I'm trying to get a job as soon. I don't really feel like I'm going to get an interview tomorrow and be able to tell her, "Oh, yeah, I got a job now."

[00:04:51]You know, it's Let's hope everything falls into place.

[00:04:54]But something about the self-esteem I was saying the jobs I was signing up for something like dishwashing I could just focus on my own task and I didn't really want to do all the bossy stuff.

[00:05:05]I kind of was watching that and editing that and I thought about cutting it out or maybe rephrasing it at the end, but I just left it as it was.

[00:05:16]The after that the next day I wasn't getting called back. So, I started applying to all the places that you do have to do that. What sucks is a lot of them are over by Duluth and I'd rather live in Superior just personally and because and everybody always always says that it's like taxes or not that probably, but like you get what I'm saying? Money.

[00:05:41]Oh, you should go live over there. Okay.

[00:05:43]And then Duluth got all the high-rise apartments too.

[00:05:51]Yeah, I'm now I'm applying everywhere I can just so I can get hired, get into the housing. I mean, literally it's all I have to do, right? Just get the job and then tell the boss or tell the landlord.

[00:06:04]Yeah. So, let's do it. Um had a long day, like I said. Uh I'm going to be real with y'all. I went to the zoo.

[00:06:33]Had a really good time.

[00:06:35]So, I had to spend money to go there.

[00:06:38]Really thankful.

[00:06:40]I'm just somebody online who asked for help and people believe in me and my situation. They want me to get better and they just want to help me. That's all I see it as, so if you're able to do that, you can. I'd really appreciate it. I'm not expecting anything. No pressure.

[00:06:57]But, it would tremendously help me and it's only short-term because this is what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get into my [clears throat] own housing, so I'm not asking for help.

[00:07:05]I know a lot of people probably found my channel because it's probably a video like Hey, I'm Braden and I'm going to be homeless in a few days. I'm struggling to support myself.

[00:07:20]I don't want to be a dependent person, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that sometimes everybody's going to need help.
