Diesel engines typically produce significantly higher torque than gasoline engines, with the diesel F250 generating approximately 800 lb-ft of torque compared to the gasoline Chevy 2500's 470 lb-ft, making diesel engines more suitable for heavy towing and hauling applications despite the gasoline engine's reliability and ease of maintenance.

I replaced the faulty F250 with a Chevrolet 2500hd.
Added:review of my new truck. This is a 2021 Chevy 2500 that I just picked up.
As some of you may know or even if you don't I purchased a F250 at the beginning of May.
I probably only had the truck in my possession 3 days out of the whole month of May. It was a diesel truck.
Um it was having issue as to where um you gave it gas it would reduce power, so on and so forth.
Sent it back to the dealer. They didn't know what was wrong with it.
Um they took it to the shop.
Fixed on it for a while. I got it back.
Um and then the diesel was leaking from the front to the back. So, I returned it.
They did what they were supposed to do on their end to get me out of the vehicle.
Get my down payment back.
And then I went and got this.
This is a gas truck.
Open this back. There's a switch for my light coming in here. Okay.
Still has the 6.6 L V8.
Still toes pretty well. I tow my trailer with it.
Little single axle trailer.
Tank be full of water.
Throw it on the back of here. Do not feel like you have anything on the back of this truck.
The diesel truck does have more power.
Or it did.
Torque numbers were double.
I think this is like 470 torque.
The diesel truck easily 800 lb feet of torque.
So it was a monster the diesel truck was.
This definitely definitely has been doing what I needed to do.
And I've had absolutely zero issues with it since I've had it.
Excuse the mats.
It's got some cool features. Let me see.
Press this button and it turns on the light to the bed.
See, there's a light on that side.
It's a light over here.
Turns those lights on.
Then if I press I think it's this button.
I get mirror lighting.
So at night it illuminates down the entire side of the truck.
You can see it on the both mirrors.
It's on both sides of the truck both sides of the truck.
And that's a cool feature.
It's got fog lights.
This is a straight V8. And what I mean by that there's no start stop system.
None of that extra crap.
Um this on the truck.
Well, on these newer vehicles there's none of that.
That's what I like about it. It's a straight V8.
Make sure these lights go out.
They're still on.
Yep, not anymore.
Straight V8 like I said, it's 6.6 L V8 uh sitting down in there pretty low.
I need to clean my engine bay.
Yep.
It came with these brand new tires.
I think they're 33s.
Some Renegade RTs.
Some pretty aggressive tread.
The sidewall is pretty aggressive if you're doing any off-roading or mild off-roading.
Not going to change it.
Um before I purchased the first truck um or even this one for those that know me, I had a Silverado 1500 on 30s.
And I used to do everything with that truck.
I just I wanted a bigger truck. It was time for a new truck.
I went through a little hurdle or two.
But I got a good truck this time.
I can't complain.
And for those of you asking, you want to know I do still have the Silverado.
Take you guys over to see it real quick.
This is the front yard.
Nice peaceful neighborhood.
And a pretty decently sized crib.
Seven bedroom, seven bath.
It's two kitchens, two laundry rooms, two driveways, one, two.
Three and a half acres.
Here's the old Silverado.
This is 2014 Silverado 1500.
I have had this truck for years, four and some change maybe.
Now it has I think it's got 230 something thousand miles on it. This truck has been a workhorse.
Uh I put this truck through its paces, trust me. It was on 30s for a minute.
I took them off, put the stock boys back on.
But, it was time for a new truck.
And it's just time.
It's been to the Rick Ross car show what, 3 years in a row, I think.
When it was on the 30s.
Um, nothing was done to this truck but I lift kit on the front to fit the 30s.
That was all that had to be done. Other than that this stock ride height.
You know what I'm saying?
Usually these 1500s have a rake on the front but you can see that it's pretty even.
So, if you ever want to fit 30s on a Silverado on a 1500 on the 20 14, 15, 16 models, maybe.
You can do it with nothing but a little lift kit. I mean, not a lift kit.
Um but you can put 30s on here.
You can see it was it's not trimmed or anything. I didn't want to cut this truck when I when I purchased it. They did cut the uh firewall back here. Cut it out.
They cut the firewall.
And then I think I had to like bang and bang on that piece down here a little bit for some clearance, but other than that this truck is stock with just a leveling kit on the front.
