When working with freeze trauma response, attempting to overpower or force the body out of freeze actually strengthens the freeze response and can cause the body to use illness or shutdown mechanisms to demand attention; instead, adults must learn to support and clear out what the nervous system is repressing rather than trying to eliminate the freeze response.

Working With Freeze Trauma Response: Do NOT Do THIS!追加:
Working with freeze is challenging and I'll tell you one of my biggest mistakes when it came to the freeze trauma response. There is an intense desire to do something, to do the things that the freeze is not letting you do. In other words, we think that overpowering and forcing our body is how we get out of freeze. But all that happened when I did that was that my freeze got stronger and stronger and stronger demanding my attention. In fact, if your body is needing you to support the freeze and you're not listening, your body can go as far as using biology and even illness to shut you down and get you to pay attention.
And so for years and decades, your body has been able to hold down what you could not process when you were younger.
But now, as an adult, it needs help because it was never designed to hold that stuff down forever.
As adults, we have to go back and clear out what our nervous system is repressing so that it's not overworking.
And so basically, instead of trying to get rid of the freeze, as somebody that tried that and only felt like I was getting so I was picking myself up and slamming myself against a brick wall over and over again until I finally realized, "Okay, I have to do things differently. This is not working." I had to learn to support my freeze instead of getting rid of it.
