XRP Price Prediction: Confirmed Breakout Could Push XRP to $1.40

[00:00:00]XRP has gone up by 3% in the past 24 hours and it is currently breaking above a trend line resistance that we consider critical for the next move. Um, an inverse head and shoulders pattern has been forming in the past uh couple of months.

[00:00:21]Uh and this is a bullish pattern that could set the stage uh if confirmed uh to for a move toward the 1.4 uh level. Crypto liquidations today have spiked to 180 million on the short side.

[00:00:39]Uh this implies of course that there's an ongoing short squeeze for multiple tokens, primarily Bitcoin and Ethereum.

[00:00:49]And in XRP's case uh on-chain data and the macro backdrop are not that favorable right now um because social sentiment is heavily depressed compared to historical levels.

[00:01:04]Uh data from Sentiment shows that social mentions for XRP have dropped to the lowest they have been since July June July 2024 just months before XRP's strong rally post-election rally and post um favorable ruling uh in its case against the SEC. Uh so right now what we are seeing is that the public interest in crypto tokens has been uh affected by uh other areas of tech that are perhaps more promising in the eyes of the general public and investors.

[00:01:49]Uh cryptocurrencies have struggled to demonstrate their real-world use cases and that has been one of the main hurdles for the price uh of these tokens to rise and recover.

[00:02:04]AI and companies like like SpaceX have captured most of the markets attention lately and capital has rotated out of cryptocurrencies and altcoins and toward those stocks. So, right now what we're seeing is a shift in the public's interest out of crypto and to more promising areas in the eyes of the general public like space exploration and AI. So, we would still need a strong catalyst to push XRP beyond that 1.4 ceiling which is the area that coincides with a projection of the 200-day exponential moving average. So, right now we are seeing some signs that the market could be nearing its cycle bottom, but we still need a strong catalyst to push prices above their long-term trendline which is a 200-day exponential moving average. In XRP's case, we have rising adoption of the XRP ledger by top companies like JP Morgan and MasterCard for the settlement and instruction phase of the payments process, but we have not yet seen the kind of adoption that could finally push cryptos out of bearish territory.

[00:03:37]Perhaps the passing of the Clarity Act in the United States could finally break this lead and and break the ceiling and and manage to attract significant attention to the crypto space once again. But for now, we see limited upside for cryptos. We would have to see if once and if, of course, XRP hits 1.40, the token manages to rise past that particular line or if the selling pressure is going to increase dramatically as it did with Bitcoin recently.
