Influencer marketing success depends on building genuine trust and attention with audiences, but high-profile influencers often exaggerate their earnings to maintain perceived authenticity; Bethenny Frankle claims $20 million annually in endorsements, but this figure likely includes multiple business ventures beyond direct sponsorships, and her assertion that she would criticize products even when paid contradicts the fundamental economics of endorsement deals where compensation is tied to positive promotion.

Bethenny Makes $20 Million In Endorsements & Knows It AllAdded:
equivalent to a one-year salary. I don't know that. I'm just thinking that uh Richards Ronald Ders is saying Erica's settlement transcript from tree trial pub where the settlement was made after reading this. It's a bit confusing. Ronald Richard says you cannot dismiss the case without pre prejudice absent a written settlement agreement. True. Or the statute of limitations will have run on the causes of action. True. They do not have a written signed deal yet, but the trial date was vacated based upon the plaintiff's council, trusting that he has con has client control over the pretty mess, Erica Gerard, and she will actually sign the settlement documents.
Oh boy. Oh boy, she hasn't signed the documents yet. Okay, this could still blow up and now they lost their trial date. Yeah, this isn't good. I would have continued it one day to ink the deal, but that's just me. I would have too, guys. Oh my god. You know how many people call me? I'm gonna be on Netflix.
Really? Netflix called you and you had a Zoom and you're perfect for a new reality show they're filming. Do you have a second? Did they come to your house? Oh my god, guys. I am the opposite. Everybody go to law school cuz it'll teach you how. Shut your [ __ ] mouth. Don't tell people your business.
Don't tell people what you're up to.
Don't tell people anything. Nothing.
Okay. Nothing.
Um, so I wouldn't go and announce this if it wasn't in.
So I would have continued. I agree with you, Ronald. No other page has or will post the transcript. So please read it and let us know. You think Ronald is great. And there we are. So is it settled? It says it's settled, but she hasn't signed it. I don't know. And finally, [sighs and gasps] some people's favorite topic. Um, do you see this interview with Bethany Frankle over the weekend, end of last week, where she sat down with Emma from uh, Skiims? And, uh, it's so funny. I really, I can't believe I'm saying this.
I am starting to see what Sarah and a lot of you think in Bethany. I get it.
Look, it's just like people that are really rich, right? Wealth whispers. You know what is that? Money talks and wealth whispers. So Bethany just I mean Emma from Skiims she is attractive. She is well spoken. When Bethany feels like she's not the richest one in the room. I mean this woman is getting like Bentleys for Christmas from Kim Kardashian. Like when when Bethany feels like she's not in the inner circle like she wants to be the most famous the smartest in the room or she gets insecure especially when it's another woman. So she I thought was so justifiable in this interview. The Emma was very what's the word differential to her. She was giving her her flowers. But Bethany says, you know, I am the ultimate influencer. Let me teach you about what sells. Um attention and what was it? It was attention and trust. Attention and trust. And everybody watches me and people trust me. Um, companies give me scripts. Companies give me scripts. And by the way, guys, I advertise things I believe in. You get a script. You don't follow the script.
Everything I say is genuine and from the heart as it is with her. But there are things in the script like when you say, you know, go to Quinn's at the ending, it has to be exact. You have to lead people. It's called a call to action.
You have to lead people to the website the way they want it, right? code velvet robe. The last two sentences are scripted. Bethany says, "Oh, I'm above all that. I throw the script out the window. I tell companies, thanks for the $2 million. I will say what I want to say. I will not read your words." Now, I highly doubt that, sweetheart, because this [ __ ] is buttoned up when someone is paying you. But the point that really shocked me, which I don't buy, is where she says that because Emma says, "How much money do you make as an influence?"
She's like, "Tens of millions of dollars a year." So, she's like, "Nobody is as authentic as me. I don't care if a company pays me $2 million. I'll take the $2 million and let me tell you, I'll tell the I I'll tell the audience this product sucks." Now, you are not saying that, honey. The products that you say suck are the ones that are not paying you. When someone pays you and you talk about how much you love it, you're not saying that you hate that particular product. when someone is actually paying you [ __ ] I don't buy it. So, she's saying even if they give her a million dollars or whatever it is, which I don't even think you're getting that much, that she says, "Thank you for the money.
I tasted your product. It's [ __ ] and I'm going to tell the world." No. When they're paying you, [ __ ] you are a little subb. And you tell us how much you like it. And yeah, you think you're doing it in such an authentic way, but now that you basically blew the lid off, I don't really know if I reveal this now. She says, this is the part that I don't believe. She says she makes two, excuse me, tens of millions. So, Emma's like, "Well, what is that? Is that 10 million? Is it 12 million?" Bethany said 20, upwards of $20 million. I do not believe Bethany Frankle makes $20 million a year on influencer deals.
Meaning, let's just round it up. 24 million because that's what she's saying. You make $2 million a year in endorsements. I don't buy. Excuse me.
You make $2 million a month. $24 million a year. Cuz that's what she's saying.
And I don't buy it. I don't buy it. I love you, Bethany. I do. I see why people don't. But oh, and she says, "I don't care if people hate me." Currency is attention plus trust.
I mean, look, a lot of people hate listening to me. Uh, so there you go.
So, I agree with the haters are great for you. Um, if someone doesn't like something, guys, you just turn the channel. When someone is so angry and doesn't like something and and leaves you a comment, they're angry because you don't agree with them and they're angry because they don't like what you're saying, but they know they're going to listen tomorrow. Think about it. If you really don't like you're so angry at your the your housewife shows that are going off the rails this season or that season. If you really don't like a show you're just like like ain't nobody angry about girlfriends in Paris from Bravo.
You just watched it and you turned it off. You're angry about Atlanta. You're angry about the you're angry at Dar.
You're angry at Kyle. You're angry at the [ __ ] that's not going your way that you're actually going to watch. So anger is good. I love my [ __ ] haters. I agree with her. But I don't believe she makes $20 million a year. I just don't believe it. Oh, and by the way, she wants us to know that's that's not including my other businesses. It's not including Skinny Girl Jeans, Skinny Girl Popcorn. It's not including my real estate. I mean, she owns real estate. I mean, don't we all? But I don't understand what real estate. What are you flipping? I haven't seen you flip anything. I'm not criticizing her, but [ __ ] you don't make $20 million a year on endorsement dolls. She wants everybody to know she is. And she's like, "By the way, I invented this algorithm. I do it differently. I'll uh I'll I'll tell you how to make salad dressing all day. I'm not giving away my secrets cuz I crack the code of how to make the most money and this all just happened. And I will never give away my secrets of how to be an online influencer. You should you should charge a million dollars and teach people your secrets." Um people that are not in the same demographic as you. Um, anyway, I charge a lot less than a million dollars and give you all my secrets when you book me for podcast consulting or business consulting. I love you all. For someone that didn't think they had a lot to say today, I do. I'm sorry about the microphone. I am just I can't explain it to you. Your environment matters so much. I have been so happy since I have gotten to Sag Harbor. And I got to tell you about all the drama going on here cuz there is a lot. I love you all.
Happy midweek and I will talk to you lovely people soon. And the microphone will be back for the next uh show. Every time I say this, people say I couldn't tell the difference. So, I hope that's the case. I care about giving you guys a decent sound. Um, which sometimes doesn't happen, but I try.
