Emerging Trends in Information Technology | 10th Oct 2023
Added:delighted to take you on a journey of emerging Trends in information technology in this session we will together explore world of three popular Technologies namely cloud computing artificial intelligence and internet of things in an era where technology touches every facet of Our Lives it's very crucial to understand these remarkable innovations that are proping us into the Future these Technologies are more than the just words they by building blocks of a digital connected World offering solution possibilities and opportunities that are unable by the end of this presentation I hope you will not only have a deeper understanding of cloud computing artificial intelligence and iot but also feel empowered to explore innovate and contribute to the ever involving Tech landscape let us first explore what is the agenda of the talk as I mentioned I will be discussing three important Technologies with you one is cloud computing another is artificial intelligence and the third is internet of things and in the remainder of the talk I will be taking your question and answers around this Technologies so let's start with the first technology which is cloud computing let me start with a very simple question have you ever used the internet to access your photos videos or documents from the different devices like a computer phone or tablet if so you have already experienced the taste of cloud computing so let's understand what is a cloud computing so cloud computing is nothing but a cloud or imagination where all the data all the processing take place and we don't know where it is it is actually processing or storing the data now imagine you have a magic iCal invisible computer in the sky this computer can not only store your photos videos all your important files you you can access this computer from anywhere with an internet connection using a phone tablet or computer this magical computer is like a cloud and a cloud computer is a technology that makes it all possible so for example let's take let's let me give you a very small example to understand what is what is cloud computing you all are using uh Netflix or say for example the Google Drive the word documents on the Google the emails where imagine where where is all the data is getting stored all the emails that you're assessing on the Gmail is getting stored somewhere whenever you ask for a certain email the Gmail fetches for you and gets the result on your screen what is a the technology behind that the technology where all the data all your emails are reiding and they are all safe they are processing it no matter of few seconds how is this possible it is being possible because of cloud computing right so the cloud computing has very I would say good advantages over the conventional Computing that we do on our laptops and system and the and the possible reasons why we are doing cloud computing nowadays is because the storage it is elasticity whatever data that whatever storage that you require on cloud can be can be can be used can be assessed and how much processing power do we need it is beyond the limits so here when we use our systems or laptops we are limited to a certain capacity however when we use cloud there is no FX there is no Capac there is no boundations it is boundary less we say cloud is flexible no matter what how much storage do you want how many processing do you you want what software do you want everything is possible on cloud nowadays when we talk about uh Information Technology we talk about data for everywhere we are containing we are assessing the data we are getting the data we are collecting the data so the data records that we are collecting it's getting huge in size so our conventional computers or the laptops are incapable of storing them so the the technology which is where we which is being used now is a cloud computing where we can store our data with no no extra cost and then we can also process that data in a milliseconds so that's an advantage of cloud and based on the cloud the foremost Advantage is it's reliable so as we say we are using the Gmail for so many years now and our Mals are not lost at all so we say the cloud is reliable system it will not crash if at all it crashes there are there are several duplicate duplicate copies of our content are available on the cloud so the reliability is the one big reason why the cloud computing is being used now let me talk about what are what are the different types of types of cloud computing that are available so so there are different types of a clouds in cloud computing World Imagine these clouds are different places where data can be stored and managed so let's talk about first Cloud which is a public Cloud imagine this is a big Library in the sky companies like Amazon and Google have huge clouds where many people in organization can store their data it's like a public library that is that can be used by everyone right whereas when we talk about a private Cloud it is a private library or more formally it is more like a private library in our own house some companies or schools have their own private clouds where only they can access and control the data it's like on own secret Library however there could be another type of a cloud which is a hybrid Cloud you can imagine that it is a mix of both public and private Cloud some data is kept in the public cloud and some in the private Cloud it's like having your own books at home and also Bing books from the public library so there are there are advantages and disadvantages for every type of a cloud that I have just discussed public private and hybrid so these are the very common names that you must have heard by now Amazon web services AWS Microsoft Azure and there is also Google cloud computing so these are the popular cloud computing uh uh organizations which provides the cloud services and they fits into the example of public Cloud where the user or organization can borrow their clouds for processing and the storing reasons and then pay for what whatever they are using and another example is a private Cloud where the organization says that okay we don't want to go to the public Cloud we will make our own cloud for the organization where the where the limitation is that only organization people who are associated with that particular organization can access the data on the cloud whereas they could be hybrid Cloud which can be the combination of public as well as private moving ahead so this is an example model example image which showcase U the example of public Cloud where you can see there are the different ENT Rises here Enterprise p and Enterprise q and there is a cloud service provider here it can be in the form of Amazon AWS it can the form of gcp Google cloud computing or it can be the it can be for example the Azure Microsoft Azure so all the Enterprises are connected to this particular cloud and different users can it's not only Enterprises or organizations who can connect to this uh Cloud the user can also get connected to this particular Cloud so uh whenever we are assessing say for example Gmail so individual user is actually connected to a cloud of Google and can access their emails for reading or maybe for sending the emails so this is an example of public Cloud there's another picture which showcase the example of uh the private Cloud here you can see the Enterprise P has a uh dedicated Cloud which is dedicated to this particular Enterprise only so these are the different clouds possible for different Enterprises so but they are dedicated only to the Enterprise p and they cannot be accessed by the another Enterprises or users so that's an example of uh private Cloud there's another uh picture here on the slide which showcase the difference between which showcase the example of hybrid Cloud where you can see that uh uh that's a combination of private cloud and public Cloud so Enterprise P has its own private Cloud but it can also integrate with the public Clow in order to get their resources and facilities in the term of storage and processing power so this is an example of uh the uh hybrid Computing so coming to U more you know example uh which elaborate more upon the different types of a clouds that I just discarded I will try to explain that with the help of an example so consider this public Cloud example wherein uh imagine that you are using a Google Drive you store your school projects there and it's like keeping them in a big Public Library where you can access them anytime anywhere you want right whereas when we talk about a private Cloud so your school might have its own private Cloud where only teachers and students can store and access the educational material just like a private library of your school so that's an example of a private Cloud there could be an hybrid Cloud as an example your school might mix mix mix both private as well as the public Cloud for some data like public resources could be a public cloud while the sensitive uh information of the data which is pertaining to that particular school might reside in the private Cloud so these are the different clouds which are possible Cloud structures I would say which are possible in cloud computing now coming to the applications of cloud computing so before that let's understand what are the different Services model so Our intention is very clear that why do we want a cloud we want a cloud because we want a fle flexible storage capacity we want a flexible processing capacity and we want a flexible environment where we can run our U our code for example or our software right so with with reliability so these are the reasons why we are using Cloud so when we talk about cloud services there are mainly three types of services which comes in the first is the infrastructure at service infrastructure Services means that you're utilizing the complete infrastructure of the cloud as a virtual virtual machine wherein you will be using the uh Cloud for the storage purpose you can use the cloud for the networking purposes you can use the cloud uh for the um processing capacity so this all is possible when you are connected through the internet onto the cloud and you can use that particular machine as an example suppose our don't have a laptop or a computer to work on so what I can do I can connect to the cloud the public Cloud as an example AWS or aor or gcp I can borrow a virtual machine from there and I can start working on that particular machine so that's an example of infrastructure as a service another example would be platform as a service platform as a service says that you are using that particular Cloud only to for the development purpose or the deployment purpose for example suppose I want to create a new app a gaming app for example and I want that gaming app to be um accessed all around the globe so in order to do that what I will do is I will I will deploy that particular app on the cloud that means I'm using only the platform or the environment of the cloud to deploy that particular app and that app can be utilize all over the world so here I'm using uh the cloud as a platform only the Third category of the cloud service is the software as a service software as a service means that you're only utilizing the cloud for the software reason if you want a software that your system is not having that means you can rely that on that particular software using Cloud as an example suppose my own system or a laptop doesn't uh doesn't uh have the MS access or uh msword for example the complete office is missing from a laptop or my computer that I own so now what we can do is if it all it's missing you can you can go go to the cloud and you can start working on the Google Drive where it offers the Google Docs it can it offers the Google Excel file it offers PPT as well so different softwares are available on the cloud which can which you can directly use so these are the different uh types of services any Cloud office the public Cloud office the first is infrastructure as service you can go with the you can get a complete work ual machine on the on the cloud you can we can use a platform as a service as well wherein you can you will be only using that particular Cloud for deployment purposes uh that can be visible or that can be seen around the globe and over the internet and the third is a software as a Services wherein uh we utilize the cloud uh for only for the software purposes so these are the different types of uh cloud service models now coming to uh the different applications of cloud computing uh where uh we see that uh we we uh utilize Cloud now now that we understand the different types of clouds and the service model right now let's let's some understand some exciting applications of cloud computing and these examples that I will be talking now will show you how the cloud technology makes our life more convenient so first I would say the foremost most uh application that we see nowadays uh as a youngsters is the streaming services uh you know that these movies uh and the TV shows that you love to watch on the on you love to watch online services like Netflix and Disney plus it all uses the cloud to store and deliver those shows so when you press play you are watching the content on the cloud and from the cloud so this is how the cloud technology is being used second foremost example is the online learning exceptionally relevant to the students like you many schools and universities are now cloud-based learning platforms you can access your assignments videos learning materials from any devices with just an internet connection so that all is possible because of cloud computing one more popular example that we are using in in our daily lives is e-commerce when you shop online on the websites like Amazon the cloud help manage inventory process process payments and store your shopping history it ensures a smooth and secure shopping experience so everything that is involved uh from uh you know shopping from Amazon uh for example it's all being based on the cloud next next important application of cloud computing is social media so Instagram Facebooks Twitter all uses Cloud to store and serve the millions of photos videos post that the user upload every day it's like a giant photo Cloud photo album so this is another example of the application which uses the cloud computing tele medicine is another example which uses the cloud computing so in the world of healthcare cloud computing allows doctors and patients to sh share their medical records conduct virtual appointments it's making the healthcare more accessible especially during challenging times one more important uh application of cloud computing that we come across in our daily lives is the Smart Homes so imagine controlling your lights your thermostats and security cameras from your phone we all do it using a phone right so it is only possible because of clouds it lets your device talk to each other and to you from anywhere so this is all possible because we are using cloud computing um one more application that I want to discuss here for the cloud computing is the gaming and as I mentioned earlier cloud computing cloud gaming services like Google stadia let you play high quality video games on your devices without needing expensive gaming consoles so this games runs in the cloud and you can control them remotely so that's all possible because uh we are using cloud computing so these are the very few application areas where the cloud computing is being used so now uh let's explore uh the different benefits of cloud computing uh so they are very uh I would say uh fantastic benefits to bring in brings this cloud computing brings to the digital world and here on the slide are some of the B benefits of cloud computing the first is the cloud saving cloud computing can Ser can save a lot of money imagine you had to buy a new computer every time you needed something some power or storage with the cloud you only pay what you use and it's like playing paying for the El electricity you don't buy a power plant you just you just use what you need so that's way you saving a lot of money right second important reason is a scalability the cloud is incredible flexible it's like having a magic backpack that can carry more books whenever you need it so as an example of scalability uh let me tell you that suppose I I U I started work working on a virtual machine which was being which is there on the cloud right and now based on the data that I have based on the software requirement it it suddenly started uh you know asking for more memory and more processing so when I'm using my conventional computer or a laptop for that purpose it will stop working it will give me give me the error that okay you're running a the memory uh we are not going ahead and we will I will stop your process right now however if you are working on the cloud such kind of errors are not possible cloud is scalable scalable means if your memory require requirement is changing while the process is going on it will keep on increasing that so it will not stop so that's the reason we say that they are scalable they are flexible so that's the reason cloud computing is a fascinating field for information technology and most of the domains are actually relying on the cloud computing for processing their task right the next important benefit is flexible cloud computing allows you to work from anywhere you can access your files and applications on your computer TBL tablet or even the smartphones it's like having your office with you no matter where you are a very simple example so if I have to access my Gmail I don't have to sit on my laptop and do it I can use any laptop any computer I can change my place I can change I can go to any corner of the world and exess Gmail so it's possible it's possible because my data is residing on the cloud I just need an internet connection to connect to that particular cloud and my data will be accessed next very important reason what very important benefit of cloud computing is the disaster recovery imagine have important documents and your computer crashes if you don't have them bagged up in the cloud they will be lost forever the cloud act like a safety wallet for your data ensuring that you recover it if something goes wrong so everything that you do on the cloud is been bagged up in a in a I would say very high quality uh reproduction of your data so whatever has gone wrong you can easily get back uh using design Disaster Recovery mechanisms available with cloud computing also uh uh with cloud computing you can collaborate the cloud makes working together together just like when you and your friends collaborate on a project cloud-based tools like Google Docs lets multiple people work on the same document at the same time from different locations so this is all possible because we all are working on the cloud and we are we can collaborate uh with different with our with our peers with our colleagues with our friends to do a certain task for example anything on the Google Drive say for example Google Docs Excel PPT we all can collaborate together and start working on a one single file uh Cloud technology forces Innovation as well it's it's like having access to the giant toolbox with the latest gadgets and tools developer can build amazing apps service quickly because they don't have to start from the scratch they can use cloud resources to speed up their work as an example suppose I want to I I I want to create an app which can uh predict the uh weather for tomorrow right so in order to do that that I don't need to start the coding from the sketch so Cloud Computing Services like AWS Azure or Google cloud computing they offers a base softwares I would say that are there available for us we just need to go and deploy our model on the system and everything will be workable for us so it's not something that we need to start writing everything from the scratch Cloud actually offers a lot of supports in the terms of software that is very helpful in doing the things in in less less time as compared to when we do the things on our system so when we have to uh you know build a new software on our system we keep on downloading n number of support in files on the system first and then then we start creating an our software however when we talk about cloud computing their infrastructure supports uh the all the requirement that we need in order to get our things deployed on the cloud so that's an that's I would say one of the biggest benefits of cloud computing also the cloud providers invest heavily in security it's like having an army of guards protecting your data they uses Advanced security measures to keep your information safe on the Cyber threats as you know I would another I will again give the example of Gmail for example it's all secured we don't have to worry about uh how the data has been encrypted decrypted how the data has been stored we we just give our emails our data to Google and the Google is storing somewhere on the cloud also using the cloud can also be good for the environment it's like you know clean energy instead of fossil fossil fuels because Cloud providers efficiently manage resources they often consume less energy and reduce the carbon footprint so these are the different uh I would say the benefits of coud Computing so it's making our digital lives easier more efficient and more sustainable that's cloud computing now coming to the another fascinating uh fascinating world of Information Technology emerging Trends in information technology and that is artificial intelligence so you must have heard this words a lot now what is artificial intelligence we say that every time we we we everywhere in our lives we are using artificial intelligence so now let's understand what is artificial intelligence artificial intelligence is a branch in information technology or it's a core subject in computer science which creates a machines which are capable of intelligent behavior and decision making very Sim similar to what human does right uh in very simple terms I can say that it's like a magic that gives machines the ability to think and make decisions just like humans and it is an exciting feel in computer science that I will help you explore in this particular session now when you say it's an artificial intelligence it's basically refers to a computer system designed uh algorithm that are that can perform the task that typically require human intelligence such as understanding neutal processing recognizing patterns and making decision it's like giving machines a brain of their own it's artificial intelligence uh in a very simple terms uh when we as so I just mentioned that using artificial intelligence we are trying to replica the brain of humans so as a human what all we can do we are trying to replica those things in machines as an example as a human I can I can see the things right I can witness the things around I can recognize okay this is cat this is dog this is a house this is an aeroplane so you by seeing the things around I am able to decide what particular what kind of thing is that so this branch which is abling to decide what kind of things I'm seeing around in artificial intelligence a branch which take cares of that thing is known as computer vision so you might have heard this name before so computer vision is nothing it's a branch uh in artificial intelligence where we are making the brain of the computer capable of recognizing the different object objects and identifying them the way the human does right another aspect which human human beings has is the is the language or the communication the way they speak so whenever I I am speaking in English you as an example are understanding what I'm saying right so this is a two-way communication which a human does so say for example if a human is communicating in in English and the other person is not able to understand English then what is the solution the solution is we will keep a mediator in between which will be able to translate that particular speech to the other person so this branch which take cares of communication between the two levels so that they understand what is the communication taking place so this branch is known as natural level processing which is another very important area in AI so first I discussed what is computer vision now is NLP so all these small subset sets of branches when taken together is making a human right so anything everything that a human does and then this all fits into the umbrella of artificial intelligence right and this is the way we are trying to make the brain of the computer right and now how are these different subfields possible so I said it's computer vation natural level processing so all these are possible with the help of of algorithms and techniques where in machine learning and deep learning are used to devise or to make such kind of algorithms or techniques by which the computer can understand the objects or computer can understand the speech of the other person right so these are the different areas that fits into the into the umbrella of artificial intelligence here in this particular Branch the aim is to make the exact replica of the human brain right so that's an aim in the artificial intelligence so that that particular model that we are creating or the or the system or the robot that we are creating can make the decisions can think the way the human does going ahead uh there are uh numerous I would say now uh the applications where the artificial intelligence is been used so the first example uh that every one of you will understand is the virtual assistance so think about Siri or Alexa that we we are using nowadays in our lives right so these Siri and Alexa are nothing but are using artificial intelligence to understand our commands whatever we are saying Alexa will try to uh do what it will try to take the appropriate action on that right so if say for example if I today I ask Alexa to play a particular song on YouTube so Alexa will do it for us the why it is able to do it because Alexa is understanding what I'm saying to that and the branch uh which is making this possible is natural level processing under artificial intelligence the second U I would say the application of artificial intelligence intelligence is in healthcare AI is helping doctor diagnosing the diseases analyzing the me medical images like X-ray and MRIs and even discover the new treatments it's like having a medical detective so now it's very uh very common nowadays to create a model that can diagnose if the person is having a particular disease or it's not having a particular disease so all these assistance are now possible with the help of artificial intelligence that can be added with the medical expert to help or to I would say um um it will help to finish the task very quickly so it's more productive when we apply when we use or give a support to a medical doctor in the terms of a model generated using artificial intelligence another famous a popular example nowadays where we see artificial intelligence autonomous vehicles self-driving cars these are the fascinating example for artificial intelligence that uses AI to navigate make decision and avoid Excellence it's like having a you know uh having a driver who who doesn't gets tired who is driving who is sensing the road who is making the decision as the human does right so this is an example very I would say very popular example now to under that fits into the category of AR artificial intelligence the next uh application area is a recommendation system uh so when you when you get a movie or product recommendation on Netflix or Amazon it is AI at the work it learns your preferences that supports things you might like it's like having a personal shopper so today if I watch a movie on a YouTube next day uh sorry if I watch a movie on a Netflix so then the Netflix is going to give me the recommendation that okay if you have likeed this you may also like this so it's basically they are learning my choices they are learning everything my learning Behavior they're Lear learning the way I look at the movies my choices and somewhere at the back the model is learning from there and that's how the uh artificial intelligence is being used another example I just mentioned about the natural level processing it helps to understand and communicate communicate with the computers in our own language like for example the translation apps the chat Bots and even the speech recognization like when you talk to your smartphones they all use n natural processing also artificial intelligence has a big role in you know the world of Finance artificial intelligence helps Banks and credit card companies to Deck the unusual patterns and prevents the frauds it's like having a digital security guard on your money so with artificial intelligence this is possible one more example that I want to give here is the weather forecasting right so every one of us is now using this particular weather forecasting apps in our phone right now this particular app uh analyzes a vast amount of a data to predict the weather prediction it's like having a crystal ball to have metrologist and make the forecast so that's possible with the help of uh artificial intelligence so here at the back some smart models are working which basically collects a lot of data and alies lot of data and gives us the prediction for uh month or two months of time that how the particular weather is going to be so these all these applications that I just mentioned are are somewhere related to our daily lives we are using them and we are actually using the artificial intelligence and cloud computing at the back end to perform all these uh you know daily activities in our life coming to the next important uh emerging Trend uh in information technology is internet of things that's it is it is iot Internet of Things is basically um Internet of Things refers to a network a physical of physical objects devices Vehicles building and all uh through the help of embedded uh sensors and connectivity and the idea is uh we need to collect the data and then uh send that particular data to the cloud for further processing to make some decisions as a very simple example we all wear a smart wrist watch now on our hand right so what is the Smart riskwatch doing it is basically analyzing our data how many steps are we are we walking in a day right our physical correct physical vitals it is something that is collecting it is sending to for example uh the cloud and from the cloud uh say for example your complete di chart can be given to you on the screen right so basically what these smart watches have they have a sensors around them and based on these sensors they are collecting your data and based on the data uh which has been sent on the cloud uh the analysis can be done for decision making so this is iot with the help of iot you can connect several different devices together right and and the idea is from the different devices that you have connected with the help of sensors you're collecting the data and exchanging between them that's the idea of Internet of things right so what are the different devices that you can connect you can you can connect the physical objects like uh Vehicles buildings right the softwares all these can be connected uh through iot and the data can be fetched from them and exchanged between them right so this is uh this is uh internet of things when we when we talk about internet of things it comes with the four important components the first is a sensor and the devices these are you know the what are these These are every everyday's objects acup with sensors and connectivity example include the smart thermostats that we use the fitness trackers that we use and even the smart coffee makers right so everything that we are using the physical device they have the sensors in them and we need to have those sensors in order to collect the data from there also very importantly whenever we use I we need to have a kind of connectivity it uses various Technologies like Wi-Fi Bluetooth acceleral networks to connect the internet so there would be no exchange of data between these sensor unless we connect them uh using the internet so connectivity is very important when we talk about iot and also the third important component of iot is the data processing the data collected by the iot devices sent to the cloud platforms or the edge devices for analysis and decision making now uh based on iot we can also have actions which are possible and based on the data uh whatever we have collected the actions can be taken such as sending the alerts adjusting the settings or triggering the other devices right so this is uh this is uh these are the four important components for iot information of things uh as an example uh the smart thermostat that learns your temperature preferences and the fitness tracker that monitors your health and sends the data to your phone are the I would say the basic examples of iot that we use in our daily lives so here are the um some of the application areas where the iot is used uh as I mentioned it is used in in you know homes we say that nowadays we the terminology Smart Home because everything is iot enables you control you can control the lights you can control the thermostats you can control the security systems or even the kitchen appliances right remotely from your smartphone uh if I'm sitting in my office I can uh you know switch off my AC I can switch on my uh TV I can start uh you know controlling the lights that's all possible because of the concept of iot uh iot also has an application in healthcare where the devices monitor the patient Health Track medications and even assist in the remote surgeries improving the healthare outcomes iot also has a I would say a big um hand in you know uh building the smart cities so iot helps cities manage the traffic reduce energy consumption enhance the Water Management making the urban life more efficient and sustainable so this is one more one more example where the um this uh iot is being used iot also has a big role in agriculture domain where the uh iot sensors help the farmers U monitor the soil conditions crop Health automate the irrigation leading to higher uh yields and reduce the resource use so this is this is an again example where the iot is used we also have industrial iot where in factories iot optimizes the production lines mon monitors the equipments prodct the maintenance thee needs improving the efficiency and reducing the downt downtime so these are some of the application uh areas for uh internet of things now coming to the conclusion uh cloud computing as I mentioned is like a boundless library in the sky has revolutionized the the way we store assess and collaborate on the data it offers scalability cost efficiency and flexibility empowering the individuals and organization to harms the power of cloud for a multitude of task and application right so this is what the cloud computer cloud computing is which can be used to store the data which can be used to process the data which can also be used to uh to process and store the data in a very reliable fashion uh another ex another information another emerging technology that I discussed is artificial intelligence which is a digital I would say a brain power is shaping the industries and our daily lives from virtual assistance to the uh Healthcare Innovations AI enhances U decision making automate the processes and enables new level of personal ization it's it's like having a smart companion in the digital age the third emerging Trends in information technology that I discussed is the Internet of Things um iot are are like digital senses connects a physical world to the digital realm creating a web of smart devices and systems it's Transforming Our homes cities and industries making them more efficient sustainable and interconnected it's like giving life to the object around us right so collectively cloud computing Ai and iot are are is like a new era of technology and Innovation they collaborate enabling AI to process data from the iot devices stored on the cloud creating solution we have only dreamed of before right now as we look in the future these technology will contribute to invol and intersect opening up the exciting I would say the possibility right so by this I end this talk and I open uh the floor for the discussion and questions that you have around these Technologies I welcome all the questions uh now from the participants so there is a question coming up uh and the participant is asking if the cloud computing is an app see cloud computing is not an app so so app is like a software and a cloud computing is not a software cloud computing is an environment which offers you different types of services right uh it can be uh the uh the computing power it can be the storing power it can be the processing power so these are the three powers that are supported in cloud computing and when you say it's an app no it's not an app because app is a software and the cloud computing is not a software right so one of the participant and also asked if the healthcare example can also be xray and scan yeah so healthare in the medical domain uh this X-ray and and the city scans that the patient do for their uh problems is is a kind of a data that we are collecting and based on this data we can do several kind of analysis uh using machine learning and deep learning that's possible and that's all all possible because of artificial intelligence is the um Zoom uses the cloud technology yes the zoom also uses the cloud technology okay so uh there's an another question coming up uh which says that um in terms of security since cloud can be both public and private can can can Cloud be hagged or manipulated see uh See one if you remember I said one of the reasons we use cloud is because of its reliability right reliability means that there are several sheets of security which comes when we talk about Cloud right have you ever heard for example Google being you know hagged or manipulated no right it's a reason being they they have a several backups for whatever data that you have on the cloud so if something goes wrong if some part of the cloud goes down the other part of the cloud you know takes over the charge so nothing goes down when we talk when we talk about cloud computing it's it's all reliable because the Technologies and the algorithms that it uses it's it's you know it's not very simple thing that that you think uh could be but it is it is it is quite a long I would say long security chains which are being used when we talk about cloud and it's it's actually meant for reliability that's the reason we are using Cloud can you download cloud no we cannot download cloud cloud is remote we don't know our where at which location our data is getting stored we don't know about it any questions around artificial intelligence I would be happy answering them or even iot or more on cloud computing okay so there is another confusion coming up on the cloud uh and the participant has asked if the cloud is just to store information okay so first of all there's a terminology difference so so there's a difference between the term data and information cloud is U is is not only used to store the data but it is also used to process the data so we have processing power on the cloud we have the storage power on the cloud and cloud is reliable so these are the three key reasons uh for using the cloud so cloud is just not to store the data it is also to process the data how can we get the cloud on our devices see we cannot get the cloud on our devices we can only get connected to the cloud with the help of Internet it is a way you know you are connect getting con gets connected to your Gmail it's like it's like connecting via the network so we cannot get the cloud on the devices okay so there's another question coming up how to connect to artificial intelligence see see you are getting uh you know connected to artificial intelligence in our in your daily lives right you I'm sure you you talk to Alexa I'm sure you also uh use the different prediction apps on your mobile for example weather forecasting so these are the different examples of using you know artificial intelligence in your daily life and also if you are if you are say for example uh using Amazon for e-commerce or shopping then also you're using artificial intelligence so you are already connected to artificial intelligence okay so there's another um definition from the participant coming on the cloud and the participant ask if if uh cloud is like like a secure hard drive that helps collaborate with Google Yahoo and other so Google Yahoo and other are so if you're if you're asking me google.com that we are us using the search engine that has been deployed on the cloud and that d.com is giving us the services in the terms of what we are searching right so this this Google.com is been deployed on the cloud and with the help of an Internet we are connecting we are we can connect to google.com right so Google is not is not a hard drive it is it is everything it is it is a it is a computation power it is a um storage power it is a processing power is it is an analytical power and what not anything that is that you see nowadays is all uh being is being done on the cloud so it's not only a hard drive it is not only to store your data it is also to process your data yeah so there is yeah so there is another uh Trend in artificial intelligence nowadays that is generative AI so so as I mentioned the aim of artificial intelligence is not is is to create a brain like a human right so as a human we can make uh we can uh make decisions now with the help of deep learning machine learning artificial intelligence we can make the models which can make the decision also right but uh as a human we can also generate new contents right you new content as an example suppose as a human I can write a textbook right I can write an email I can write I can draw an image right these are the new content that as a human I can do so now what is a recent Trend in artificial intelligence is that of generative AI which is a branch of artificial intelligence which is not meant to uh make decisions but it is meant to generate the new data in the form of say for example emails books images videos and so on so chat GPT yes you are correct here chat GPT is a form of generative AI where the idea is that it it understands my uh problem that okay today I want to write a book on this particular topic chat GPT will help you generate a book so here uh this particular bran generative AI it it's not uh making any decision but it is generating the data as uh humans so as as as us as a human we can generate an image uh though so uh this uh generative AI can also do that so chat GPT as I someone has rightly said is an example of generative AI it's an example of L large language models where uh we are creating a new content in the form of text so that's possible with chat GPT chat GPT can also help you write a code so that's also possible with J GPT right so J gbt are rightly mentioned uh it yeah so another you know example someone has written on the chart is like it can generate images of celebrity so nowadays you when you search online now you know you different art would be visible so every you can uh you know generate the images of celebrities you can even generate the image of you you know 10 years older or you know 5 years below the age everything is possible with generative AI that's possible so you can generate the uh you know uh the videos or the images in the voice of celebrities that's all possible using generative AI That's a branch of artificial intelligence okay so there's another question what is an advantage of cloud computing over the internet see cloud computing has no advantage over the Internet cloud computing utilizes internet uh to communicate between two different uh I would say Partners so I need to have internet in order to access Cloud right so very simple example if I have a cloud then only I will be able to access my Gmail so that's that's cloud computing utilizes internet in order to get connected there was another question on the cloud computing it says that if there are any limits on amount of a data stored no there is no limit it's Limitless cloud computing is limit Limitless as I mentioned you will you will be charged on uh the resources that you are consuming so there is no limit on the resources that you can ask for using Cloud computer okay so are there any more questions on uh these in technologies that I discussed over the session today okay okay so I think we will uh end the session for today uh I and I hope you uh really understood these three Bus words that has being used in Information Technology now artificial intelligence cloud computing and Internet of Things um it was um great interactive sessions I really like the way U you have all asked the questions on cloud computing and artificial intelligence that have shown your interest in these areas so thank you everyone uh for joining in the session uh thank you very much
