I just finished putting together a custom prediction model, and it's honestly super cool. Here is the best part. I didn't use any heavy AI or complex machine learning libraries. I kept it strictly to core Python. I used dictionaries to map out the historical head-to-head stats and lists to track the recent bowling and batting form of every key player. The heart of the project is a custom function I wrote called normalize. It takes all those messy raw stats like venue records and playoff pressure and converts them into a clean weighted percentage. It's basically pure data science logic turned into a win probability score. After I ran the simulation, the model spat out the numbers. Rajasthan Royals at 59.4% and GT at 40.6%.
