[music] Cypriots are an island. Those migrations never reached them. What's wild is that Greek Cypriots [music] are actually closer genetically to Turkish Cypriots than to any Greek group from mainland Greece. Both communities on the island share the same ancient base, mostly Anatolian and Levantine ancestry, [music] with only around 12% actual ancient Greek ancestry. Greek and Turkish Cypriots both cluster closer to Lebanese than to mainland Greeks.
