In Islam, believing in bad omens (tiyarah) is considered shirk (associating partners with Allah), as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) explicitly stated that 'whoever believes in bad omens has committed shirk,' and this ruling was repeated three times to emphasize its importance.

The Bird Superstition in Jahiliyyah | Assim al-Hakeem追加:
Old Arabs, before they set to a journey, they used to have birds in a cave in a cage. So, they open the cage and let the bird fly. If the bird flew to the right, okay, bismillah, we go.
If the bird flew to the left, then this was today we're not traveling.
If the bird did not go from the cage, they slaughtered it and ate it.
Bad luck and bad omen for the bird. It deserved what it got.
This is what they believed in the in the past. This is known as tiyarah. What's the ruling on believing in bad omens in Islam? The prophet said alaihi salatu wasallam, "At-tiyaratu shirk." Whoever believes in bad omens, this is shirk.
And he repeated this three times.
