This is how I get dengue fever in Thailand. At the end of April, my husband and I went hiking in the jungle.
We thought we were fully prepared. We used mosquito repellent and did everything we could to avoid getting bitten, but as you can see, it didn't really help. About a week later, I started noticing a rash all over my body. At first, I didn't think much of it, but then I started feeling extremely weak. I had constant nausea and vomiting. For an entire week, my body could barely handle any food. As soon as the rash appeared, I suspected it might be dengue fever.
