She’s in the ICU. We’re Trying to Save Her.Añadido:
Careful. He's heavy. E.
>> Come on, little one.
>> Is she looking a little worse?
>> She's worse. Yes.
>> My goodness.
The medication we're giving her isn't working.
>> She's feeling worse. Yesterday she wasn't moving. We took her to the vet, gave her something. We thought that she had a little bit of a stomach pain or something, you know, usual things that happen, but she's not feeling well.
She's supposed to start chemotherapy, but she just went into surgery the other day, so we had to wait. She already has metastasis, so you're going to be very well looked after here.
This is awful, mate.
>> This is happening right now. We're heading to the hospital. Lisa is not feeling well. She was meant to start chemotherapy after her surgery, but we had to wait until she recovered from it, but she's really not doing well. She has metastasis and uh and I'm very worried. So, we're heading to the hospital and we're going to see what happens. This is not edited.
This is happening right now.
So, we are waiting for for the team to to get us in and see and see what's happening. Baby, >> my goodness.
Yes, >> this is the situation.
>> She was rescued unspayed and we operated on some mammorary tumors about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
metastasis.
>> They detected metastases in different areas, lymph nodes. She's been at home.
She's been fine until yesterday when she suddenly went downhill. We took her to our regular vet. There was nothing that explained why she was like this. We gave her a bit of Moxidil, paracetamol.
>> Did they run bloods?
>> Yes. All very good.
>> Do you have them?
>> Yes. I'll show you now.
Can you help me lay her down so I can check the surgical scar?
>> Yes, it's healed perfectly.
>> How long ago was the surgery?
>> 3 weeks.
any vomiting or diarrhea?
>> No, she hasn't wanted to eat. Yesterday she ate well. Today she hasn't wanted to eat and she hasn't wanted to wee. I'm giving her serenia, paracetamol, meoxidil.
>> And when did this start? You said >> the day before yesterday.
>> What I'm doing is assessing how she arrives.
We use colors green, yellow, red. At the moment, she'll be yellow.
And the colleague handling emergencies will come out shortly and attend to her.
>> Yellow because she's still breathing. If she was crashing, it would be red.
>> No, red doesn't mean cardiac arrest. Red means if she came in pale or in severe pain. So, yellow means an animal that needs to be seen as soon as possible.
But it's not life or death at this exact moment. This can change while you're waiting. If you notice anything unusual, it could change. But right now, she doesn't need to go straight through immediately. She just needs to be seen as soon as possible. gather all the test results for when my colleague comes out.
>> Yes, they've been sent over on WhatsApp.
>> I'll give her a wristband so it's visual. If there was a green case waiting, for example, they'd know they have to wait longer than you, even if they arrived before you.
>> Was the surgery done here?
>> No.
>> Please wait outside. Bye.
>> Right. Everyone come through here.
Take a seat. All right. I'm just going to get the referral report with all the blood work.
>> Okay.
>> Here we go.
>> What a disaster. So, we've been waiting for a little bit and uh now we're going to see I want to see what we do.
eating >> since yesterday?
>> Nothing at all.
>> I didn't give her any food this morning in case you needed to run tests so she'd be fasting.
>> She did eat yesterday. She's been drinking, but she's been very lethargic, lying down all day.
>> Any medical history? I read she's had a carcinoma. Carcinoma.
>> She has.
When was the surgery?
>> She's normally super active.
>> Is she good?
>> Yes. Absolutely lovely.
She's very subdued.
>> Right. Right. Yes, I can see that.
>> She didn't want to wee this morning.
Has anyone ever picked up a heart murmur when listening to her?
>> Not that I know of. It's never been mentioned. Did you hear anything?
>> No.
Okay. She has a full memory chain.
>> Yes.
>> We still haven't removed the second one.
The first one was removed about 3 weeks ago. The pathology results came back and they were malignant tumors. I said to Jorge, "Please, let's get her seen by oncology." But between the healing process and everything else, there just hasn't been time to organize it, and that's why we're here. Now, >> what we do is a full workup, blood tests, an abdominal ultrasound, and hospitalization. I've marked ICU because given how lethargic she is, it's quite likely we'll find abnormalities in the blood work. I'd rather have her monitored there. Completely agree.
>> Right. Then >> if that sounds okay, I'll take her inside, place a catheter, and we'll get started. Wait for me at reception if you like.
>> Come on, Lisa. Stay strong.
>> So, Justin, it's been a really difficult day. Lisa is now at the hospital. She's in the ICU. We're seeing if we can stabilize her and whether it's feasible or not to start chemotherapy and buy her time. Uh this is an incredible dog, super strong and you know we're not gonna do anything to I mean that goes against her quality of life that I assure you this is uh this is life. Let's adopt.
Please if you can uh donate help us take care of Lisa's treatments. She's now at the hospital. These things cost a fortune. Obviously, we're not going to stop uh right now. Uh it's too early for that. We'll see what happens. Please, if you can give me a hand with Lisa, she's wonderful.
Thank you.
