The video correctly argues that shielding companies from failure destroys the accountability necessary for a functional market. True economic resilience requires letting inefficient businesses collapse to make room for more capable competitors.

‘Shark Tank’ Legend Notices Something in Spirit Airlines Failure Others Are Unwilling to SeeAdded:
What is up people of the internet? I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Ruben Report. It is Friday, May 8th, 2026. And on Fridays, we do the Friday roundt extravaganza. And joining me today is Reuben Report veteran, former NYPD officer and political commentator. my friend John Cardillo, a free man in the free state of Florida. And first time guest, I suspect not last time guest, uh, author of the new book, The Man Book, is Nick Fredus. Nick, welcome to the show.
>> Thanks for having me, Dave.
>> I I don't know what else I was going to add there. I was going to add like seven other things because I'm seeing your videos pop up all the time and you're just you're just doing great work. So, maybe if you could real quick since my audience knows John already, if you could just do a 30 second recap of kind of who you are and what you're doing.
You're you're a good fighter for all of the right things basically.
>> No, I I appreciate it. So, yeah. Um married for uh just just celebrated my 27th uh anniversary to my high school sweetheart. We have three grown children now. We homeschooled all three of them.
Uh I served in the uh military for 11 years active duty. I was with first special forces group. did a couple tours over in Iraq and then uh served for 10 years in the Virginia General Assembly uh right before Virginia decided to unfortunately uh lose its mind. But so that's just kind of a quick uh quick once over the world.
>> Yes. And you got out of Virginia just in time. Okay. Next time you're on the show, I will mention at top 26-year veteran of marriage. That seems >> 27. 27.
>> Oh, enrolling into the 20s.
>> Don't tell me short a year, my friend.
>> Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. All right.
Here we go. Fridays we recap uh all the craziness. Let's dive right in. The big sort of economic thing on on the domestic side of course was that Spirit Airlines, you know, really the last kind of budget airline for all the jokes that people make about them. They were the budget airline that were helping keep costs low. Uh they have now gone under and Mr. Wonderful from Shark Tank, Kevin Olirri, uh was asked whether the government should have bailed them out.
Take a look. Do you think the government should intervene to bail out private companies like Spirit?
>> Never. Never. Capitalism works. America works. The economy's worked for 250 years because the winners win and the losers lose. The protein is never lost.
Stuart, think of Spirit Airlines as a dead fish. It's now drifting to the bottom of the ocean. The slugs will eat the protein and reprocess it into the environment, which is the economy. The reason Spirit failed, it was poorly managed. We don't want to back up weak managers. These are losers. And when you get the government involved in bailing out a loser, you don't just do airlines.
Every guy and his dog with a loser company with weak management is going to put their hand up. And I'm in Washington DC right now. There's a lot of ducks downstairs here squawking for government money. They shouldn't get any of it.
That's the whole point. Let them go win it in the environment, the economy they're competing in. So, before I have you guys chime in on just general philosophy behind bailouts and what the government should do and everything else, I want to read two tweets from Elizabeth Warren here. Because when this happened this week, Elizabeth Warren tweeted out this. The big four airlines, American Delta, Southwest, and United control 75% of the US market. Fewer choices equal higher prices. Well, well, you're right, Elizabeth. Of course, that got community noted because uh just about 2 years ago when JetBlue, which is the other kind of quasi uh budget airline, although I think they I think they're the best American airline that we have, at least domestically, uh they were going to merge with Spirit. It would have created all sorts of jobs, more flights, etc., etc. She stopped it.
She wrote, "I warned for months that a JetBlue and Spirit Airlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fairs. The antitrust division and department of transportation were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation.
This is a Biden win for flyers. Well, like most other Biden wins, it turned into a complete failure because spirits gone and prices obviously will now rise.
Less competition obviously. Uh Nick, I'll give you the first word on this.
Generally speaking, government bailouts, do you like them? And should we be surprised that the Democrats muck this thing up? I mean, JetBlue and Spirit could have really turned into something.
>> Yeah. No, I I don't think the government should be bailing out anyone. Like, I I notice when I screw up in my personal life, the government doesn't come and write me a check. I think that the same should be true for for other companies as well. And and I I think it's comical whenever Elizabeth Warren tries to wade into economic issues because the the woman's never created any jobs. Um, she she is fairly adept at stealing jobs that were earmarked for Native Americans, but other than that, I don't think she has any real job creation experience.
>> John, uh, Mr. Wonderful over there, I I just love playing Clipton. I just think he has a great way of explaining sort of complex things in a very, very simple way. This idea that, okay, well, this thing's broken now. We're going to let it fail, but then these other guys will come pick up the pieces. That's kind of the hope here that somehow prices will stay low because they will kind of have to play along with new conditions in the market.
>> So Dave, you let's use an example you and I know well, right? How many times did we over the years try to fly up to Tallahassee from South Florida, Miami or Fort Lauderdale? Right. We've got one we've got one flight at Miami, gate D60Q. By the way, I tracked it last time. It's a 1.4 mile walk from >> that that gate. It's the gate from hell.
It really is.
>> Not kidding. 1.4 miles from a good parking spot in the garage to that gate to get on the plane, right? And so I I do think there's something to what I said in other airlines, regional carriers, picking up these assets, maybe starting new entities that can serve those regional routes that we need so badly. But look, here's what terrifies me about government intervention, especially when they want an equity stake. We saw what the Democrats did to the gun industry after the Sandy Hook tragedy, after the shooting, right? They put their finger on the scale. They put Bushmaster out of business. And as a result, they put their parent company, Remington, a legacy American brand, out of business. It had to be bought up in bankruptcy years later for pennies on the dollar. Could you imagine if we went down that road with one company? They saw how much control they could have over the American economy and over American business, over the free market.
The Democrats would run wild with this.
So, no, I don't ever want to see government bailing out companies and taking equity positions cuz it's a slippery slope. So, so we all have the same position, which is which is the same thing that Olir is laying out on the bailout side of it. But do you think the Democrats will ever ever learn on this stuff? Because it wasn't just Elizabeth Warren that was wildly against the the Jet Blue Spirits merger. You know, Pete Budajed was then transportation secretary. He was against it. And you would think that maybe if they had the slightest bit of honesty within them, they might come out and say, you know, maybe we did drop the ball on that one because now we are further screwed. that that probably is not going to happen, Nick.
>> No, I I think it's I I think they have a completely different worldview with respect to what the purpose is of the economy and the government's role in the economy. So So we the three of us sitting around who we're looking like, yeah, okay, good businesses use good resources effectively to provide products and services to people and they are rewarded with profits. They look at it as the government should be running all of this stuff and to the extent that the government isn't running it, it should be directing uh its every movement in order to create achieve social justice or greater equity within the economy. So they they really just look at us as we're just cogs in a machine here. And and so to the extent that they don't control an industry, it must be cheating people or it must be defrauding people. And what we really need are are super wise politicians and bureaucrats who are entirely altruistic and would never do anything for their own benefit or enrichment to be able to run these organizations so that they'll be more fair and equitable to everybody.
And every single time it's tried, it fails. But that never stops them from trying to do it because they just think the wrong people were in charge. had have it been benevolent, altruistic people like Elizabeth Warren, of course a person that has absolutely no experience running an airline or anything within the economy would do a better job than these evil, greedy businessmen. So if that's your worldview, if that's your starting point in the discussion, then the question is never gosh, maybe we should learn something about how sucky central planning is. No, you just find different central planners. Well, John, since you nodded along with all of that, I will throw something else with at you here, which is that it's not just that the Democrats screw up everything domestically. Apparently, they've also been working with some foreign countries on the DL. Uh, Premier Gyipal, Congresswoman Premier Gyipal, who I am told won scariest, what was it, most likely to scare small children in dark lighting in Congress from 22 to 25. Uh she now admits she's been working with foreign countries to supply oil to Cuba.
>> In January, um Trump issued an executive order threatening tariffs on any country supplying fuel to Cuba. This was this January, just a few months ago. And oil shipments from Venezuela, that's where Cuba had been getting its oil, were halted after the US operations to kidnap Nicholas Maduro. I was in conversations with the ambassadors uh from Mexico and some other places and I know other countries in Latin America trying to figure out how to get oil there. But it is a crisis beyond imagination. It is illegal. It is against the war. We've been talking about this in Iran obviously to bomb the infrastructure of any country that is against international law. This is essentially doing the same thing. It is bombing the infrastructure of Cuba with economic sanctions that essentially ensure that the infrastructure collapses. John, allow me to read one line of the Logan Act to you. any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government, or any officer or agent thereof with intent to influence measures or conduct of any foreign government, or any officer or agent thereof in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprison. prison not more than 3 years or both.
>> I'm pretty sure she just stepped in it.
>> Yeah, look, she should be in handcuffs.
I think the only question is what would the top charge be or violation of the Logan Act or her just complete absolute stupidity? I mean, but this is nothing new, right? They we saw this with John Kerry years back sitting down with members of the IRGC, Iranian nuclear scientists in Paris. No, >> he's conducting his own foreign policy in direct contradiction to the president of the United States. She's doing the exact same thing. But as Republicans, you and I have spoken about this a thousand times on the show in private.
Republicans do not know how to wield power like Democrats. If a Republican member did that under a Biden DOJ, America Garland DOJ, they would already be in handcuffs. They'd be sitting in some detention center in either the DC goolog or Southern District of New York and they'd be facing a federal trial and most certainly a federal conviction because it's right there on on video and audio. But we don't play that way and we need to start playing that way or things are going to get a lot worse.
Nick, I've noticed lately that almost all Democrats are constantly constantly referencing international law as if it has anything to do with American law or supersedes American law or anything else. It really doesn't exist. If you believe in sovereign nations, but they love this idea of international law.
Well, I again I think a lot of Democrats see themselves primarily as citizens of the world and and part of this comes with a lot of Marxist influence where it's it's workers of the world unite, right? They inherently despise any concept of nationalism or or even what we would call just base level patriotism because it distracts from what they really are, which is trying to achieve world harmony and world peace and world objectives. Um, but I I think it it goes it goes deeper than that. This is part of this critical theory assessment of the world where I if if it's an enemy of the United States but the left considers them to be oppressed, well then they're really the good guys and America is the bad guys. I think the also the thing that's important to remember is whenever the left mentions anything with the law.
You can you always know they're mentioning it strict strictly to restrict Republican power. Yes. They they love mentioning the Constitution when they're out of power. Why? because the Constitution restricts government power. When they're in power, they couldn't care less about the Constitution or domestic law or international law. So, I I think it's important to remember that whenever the left brings up anything that could be conceived as restricting power, you know, they're not in power because that's all they seem to to care about it for. Well, we might have a Republican here in Florida who believes in the law because there is a Democrat who married her brother, which I'm not a legal expert, but I'm pretty sure that's against the law. Well, here in Florida, Representative Randy Fine says that House Republicans are working on documentation to finally expel Ilhan Omar for marrying her brother. You still going to push a vote to expel Ilhan Omar?
>> Well, we're talking about it. We're waiting to get the data on the brother marriage thing which I think is coming and I think once it's revealed and the >> brother marriage thing married her brother I think we'll be able >> that's where we are as a country right now. We've got a member of Congress born in Somalia in Moadishu who may have married her brother to get him into the country. Um if it turns out that that is actually the reality will there be a vote on the floor to expel this woman from Congress?
>> Absolutely.
>> Okay John I I know it's only May but that might be the quote of the year.
data on the mother I will say it the data on the brother marriage thing um I mean look JD has talked about it publicly already the the marriage of the brother uh Trump has referenced it a couple times we've seen the marriage license this is on top of the in that she was off by $30 million on her personal income tax returns this year that the winery that never existed etc etc do you think I know I know the commentators I know what they're going to say in the comments already they're going to go you What? They just never get anybody. They never get anybody, which is sort of Nick's point earlier.
They never get anybody. I I suspect they're going to get her. I just have a feeling this one there's just enough there and it's too damn obvious.
>> Smoking guns, man. I mean, look, the the most telling thing is she doesn't deny it. Ilan has never stood up there and said, "I didn't marry my brother." She kind of goes underground. It's pretty easy to do is to say, "I didn't I'm not screwing my brother." You know, like how hard is that? But any but but you know look I think they've got her dead to rights. My concern is I think Ilhan yeah you know she hates this country etc etc. She's a massive propheteer. She probably knew every single inside and out of the uh the Somali daycare and school scandals going on in Minnesota. But she's not she's not the one who concerns me the most. I think Rashida Tab is is is far worse in terms of being an active terror recruiter, terror sponsor and supporter of terror. I think she's an enemy of this nation. She should be nowhere near Congress or classified information, nowhere near voting on appropriations for the intelligence community or the military. She's the real dangerous one. So, I would ask the members of Congress who are watching this show, if you're going to take this up with Ilhan, take it up with Sha Tab as well because I believe she's a bigger threat to the United States.
>> Right. You know, it's interesting. So, it's sort of like, well, the marriage of the brother thing makes it kind of lowhanging fruit. But I I actually do agree with you in terms of threat to America and who more likely has connections with terrorist organizations and everything else. Well, Nick, maybe you can speak to that a little bit.
>> Well, I think the the first thing we all need to acknowledge is that because the whole brother marriage thing is going to be thoroughly investigated finally and come to light, we all need to prepare ourselves for the four-step reporting process that the mainstream media will go through. Step one will be nobody married their brother. Step two will be why do you care if she married her brother? Step three will be, "Yeah, she married her brother, but here's why it's a good thing, right?" Yeah. And step four will be, "You're a racist, sexist bigot if you don't marry your brother."
That that will be the four-step media process. Um I I think so I think John's got a good point here that I think Rashidita is on some level the the greater threat. What I would like to see with this though is because I do think there's such a clear violation of immigration law. And by the way, I think the first violation was not with her. I think it was with her father cuz I think her father absolutely lied about being a part of a genocidal regime for which he was a colonel in the military for like 26 years. So that's the first level of immigration fraud. I think she engaged immigration fraud too with respect to her brother. And what I want to see is if it's if lowhanging fruit is what's what it's going to take for the American people to actually see an administration hold a member of Congress accountable for clear violations of the law. And then don't just expel her from Congress.
Deport her. Denaturalize and deport her.
She does not belong here. She clearly hates this country. And so let let's get let's get a win and demonstrate that no, this will be done if you're going to either a violate immigration law or b actively work with enemies of the United States in order to throw our own thwart our own foreign policy. I >> I'm completely with you on denaturalizing the port. And I would also say the the reason I'm a little more bullish on this one is that, you know, we're seeing a little of the icebreak in in Congress. You know, they got rid of Swallwell, they got rid of the other guy in Texas. Uh they got rid of the the uh John, who's the woman in Florida, the the representative here in Florida they got rid of. There's there's a few there's a few of them suddenly that you know we're used to just oh they all do awful things and nobody ever go gets pays the price but suddenly it feels like something's happening. So I think something will happen there. Uh you both referenced the the insane um scandal, the fraud and the money laundering and everything else coming out of Minnesota and finally now Tim Walls he seems to be aware of it and he's doing something about it. It's incredible.
>> Yeah.
>> I think motans have to recognize is you're hearing about fraud in Minnesota because we are prosecuting people.
You're going to hear about it in other states. You're going to continue to see it. But the fix is you don't want to hear about fraud not because somebody's not prosecuting somebody. You don't want to hear about fraud because you know the safeguards and the systems are in place.
And I don't see another there's not another model. No other state has gone to a more decentralized model. Every other state has moved towards a more centralized model of accountability and I think that's what makes most sense.
>> First off, real quick, it was Representative Sheila McCormack here in Florida who took $5 million of FEMA money and basically used it for her campaign. So, okay, let's put that aside for a second, >> John. It's rather extraordinary. This guy, he he was sitting on top of this thing, had apparently no idea it was happening. Then one kid shows up, Nick Shirley, with the phone, and now this guy is in charge of defrauding the state. It's incredible. He knew everything from day one. He was briefed on it before he ever got into office. He knew exactly what was going on. They sat on it because it didn't comport with the leftist narrative. You couldn't attack black Somali refugees who were scamming the state out of billions upon billions of dollars. I mean, it is absolutely absolutely ridiculous. But look, it's why Ilhan skated on this stuff for so long, right? Why they knew her dad was a murderous warlord. They knew she was engaging in all kinds of financial fraud. They knew that she married her brother. This has been an open secret forever. By the way, I'm going to add a step five to Nick's fourpoint media plan. New York Times step five. Incest.
Is it really best? That's >> exactly.
>> I'm sure they've done that already.
>> I'm sure they have. But uh but uh yeah, I mean, look, Waltz knew everything. He sat on it until he couldn't anymore.
When when when Shirley came with the camera, it was indisputable. It was in black and white. It was on video. They started pulled public record. At that point, you can't deny it. So, he was forced to do something. Had it never been uncovered, Tim Walsh would still be denying there's any problem. 100%.
>> Right, Nick? It's kind It's kind of the same thing as the Elizabeth Warren thing. It's like no matter how many things you're involved in that are nasty or that you get wrong, you just you just pretend you're the good guy always.
Right.
>> Well, I and again, I think this is critical because I when I go back to this whole critical theory understanding of the world, like I'm a Christian, so I view things through a Christian worldview and a Christian lens. That's how I interpret reality. They interpret things the way critical theory reality.
So good and bad is not based off of, you know, fraud. Good and bad is based off of which group do you belong to. And and so the reason why Tim Walls didn't have a problem with billions of dollars of of fraud is because it was going to a group that he categorized as oppressed and oh by the way, it came back to him in the form of campaign contributions and votes. Right? So for him, this is a self this is a this is a wonderful self-perpetuating system where where the the oppressed are fighting back against the oppressors and they're getting to use the oppressor's money to do it. Like this is a this is a net moral positive for them. The only reason why they're saying it's negative right now is because the vast majority of people when they see this think, well, this is clearly wrong. And Tim's like, >> clearly right. Clearly yes, absolutely clearly wrong. Is that what I mean?
We've decentralized the whole thing. I'm going to fix the problem. Look at me.
Look at me.
>> We don't believe it be because we're seeing because Nick Shirley hasn't just uncovered fraud in in Minneapolis and Minnesota. It it's happening in Ohio and it's happening in California and it's happening in New York. Pretty much anywhere anywhere where they can find Democrats running elements of the government or the bureaucracy. That's an important one. Sometimes they're not running the government, but they've infiltrated the bureaucracy and that's how they're handing things out. That that's where you see this because they honestly believe this is an equitable distribution of funds. Taxpayers are there to we're here to be a tax farm for Democrat social policies which are then to designed in order to get Democrats elected. So what's the problem?
>> Well, let's go from the polar opposite or let's go to the polar opposite of Minnesota, which what I I would say is the free state of Florida. and in Florida as as revenge against Virginia trying to rig their you know to well basically going from a it's so crazy they went from a 65 state a 5149% voting state had 65 representation in Congress it was the fairest state in the union then they vote on it goes 10 to1 now it's hung up in the Virginia court as everyone knows but Ronda Santis decided you know what we're going to get ahead of something if these guys are going to try to cheat we are going to get ahead of something and well signed, sealed, delivered the new Florida congressional map which will add four seats for the Republicans. Uh John, I know you're a fight fire with fire guys, so this is all good, right?
>> I think Rod Desanis is the most bu brilliant political strategist we've seen uh in my lifetime. He's always three steps ahead of them. I mean, full disclosure, Dave, you and I know him pretty well. He he uh he just sees what others don't. He keeps his finger on the pulse and he understands more important than anything, more importantly than anything, exactly what Flidians want, what Florida voters want, and what also creates a much better quality of life in the state. I mean, I've been down here 23 years now in South Florida. I'm in actually in Lakeland, Florida right now.
I want to give a little shout out to the Cleveland Heights Golf Course. The manager let me use his office. Really nice guy to do this in Lakeland, Florida.
>> Look at you doxing yourself >> all over the place. But, uh, yeah. Yeah, I think I think this was a great move and it represents and it reflects the Florida electorate, right? We have one we have a 1.5 million GOP voter advantage. We have hundreds of people moving to the state every day.
Preliminary data shows most of them are Republican voters. Many of them are former Democrats who switch parties and they saw how how Dan has performed under COVID. So, I don't think all this nonsense about how this redistricting was was a a Republican power grab.
Absolutely not. This is fair. This is equitable and it's representative of of our electorate and voter base.
And by the way, if Cali is going to purge people and New York's going to purge people, well, they're going to lose representation and we're 2.3 million people have moved to Florida since 2020. Fact. Ultimately, that's going to get us more represent uh representatives. I want to jump quickly to uh to the other elections that happen around the country. And this Indiana thing was sort of interesting, uh, these primaries because it's a red state, >> but there was there was some sort of push like, oh, does Trump still have a handle on what's going on with the Republicans? And well, yeah, we found out he certainly does. And President Trump has been seeking revenge, and tonight he is getting it. He is uh um had a successful effort in at least three of the Indiana State Senate uh primary uh races. and one of the um the Trump challengers has failed. So right now the scorecard that the White House is watching very carefully is 3 to one and the Trump back candidates is leading in the other two. What are we talking about here? Why are we talking about the the Indiana state senate? Because the senators, the Republicans who have served for nearly 20 years, each one of them who lost voted against the president's redistricting plan last December. They said that they did not believe it was appropriate to redraw those maps. The White House has said, "We are going to throw you out of office." And that is what is happening this evening.
>> All right. So, you can see there are two reasons I wanted to show you guys that clip. One is it goes to the redistricting thing and even Republicans that seem to not want to yield power when they have it. But the more key part of it is that for whatever faction of what we could say is like the Tucker right right now that is saying Trump has lost the base or something like that.
No, Trump got a clean sweep in all of the primaries across the country that for everyone he endorsed. Nick, >> I I think there's I also think the media is totally misreading this. I I think they're making this all about Trump's revenge. No, this is about Republican grassroots that are tired with weak, feckless Republicans that don't know what time it is.
>> And they showed up in the primaries, which thank God, that's what they should be doing. And and I noticed this, too.
The same people on the right who are constantly complaining about the administration, constantly complaining about the uni party or rhinos, they never do anything to defeat rhinos. the people of Indiana just did something to defeat rhinos and it's going to have a ripple effect across the entire country because I I served 10 years in a state legislature and I would tell people your worst Republicans are in your safest districts.
>> Yeah.
>> They are part of the good old boy crew.
They get on the appropriations committee and they just sit there forever. They never do anything difficult. They're in seats where they never get a contest. I said, 'If you would just primary these guys, the message you would send to everybody that you didn't primary would be so significant that you would get much better representation. But that's what this was. This wasn't as simple as as Trump being mad at somebody. This was righteous anger and indignation at a bunch of, again, weak, feckless Republicans that didn't know what time it was. And now they got replaced by people that are going to fight, which is good because that's exactly what we need right now. The left have been treating us like their enemies. Not their not their fellow citizens that we have disagreements with. No, they treat us like their enemies. And when we have guys up there that are not willing to fight back, they win at our expense while we sit around going, "Well, that's just not the way we do things in Indiana." Well, it is now. So, thank >> That's right. And to your point, Indiana could have done redist redistricting.
They were solidly red state. That could have gone even redder and they didn't cuz they didn't have people doing exactly what you called for right there.
We're kind of bouncing around from crazy to not crazy. So, we were in crazy Minnesota, then we're in not crazy Florida. Let's go to crazy New York right now where, you know, Zorhan put out this ad on the PA to tear tax. We've covered this a couple times, but I want to get your take on this where he literally stood in front of Ken Griffin's house and basically said, "Burn this thing down, people. Grab his wife and dog." And uh, well, he's doubling down.
>> So, I'll I'll first start by saying that I want all New Yorkers to succeed.
That includes business owners and entrepreneurs who create good paying jobs, who make this city the economic engine not just of our state but frankly of our country. And that also includes Ken Griffin who is a major employer in our city. That does not negate the fact, however, that our tax system is fundamentally broken. It rewards extreme wealth while working people are pushed to the brink. It is a status quo that is unsustainable, that is unjust. And if we want the city to be one that working people can actually afford to live in, then we need meaningful tax reform that includes the wealthiest New Yorkers paying their fair share.
>> John, 1%, the top 1% pay 46% in taxes.
What do you think he would consider the fair amount on that?
>> 99.9.
I mean, he's 999. I mean, this guy's out of his mind, right? He he is a full-blown communist. I don't You know, some of our friends, uh, Dave are optimistic about the future of New York.
I grew up there. I policed the city. I watched this city go through many iterations. And one common thread was always, even a Democrat, going back to Ed Cotch, they left the NYPD alone. Bill Delasio started to destroy it. Eric Adams let it happen. And Mani has put it into high speed. And they're going to soon have a generational problem with the quality of people they're hiring.
The the the qualified people are retiring. nutrition is happening at a much greater pace than they can even hire. And what they're hiring, the quality is terrible. So now you combine >> they've lowered the fitness standards.
>> Non-existent. Non-existent. Those fitness standards only really ever applied to white males. That's the dirty little secret. Everybody else got to pass. Everybody else, even white women got to pass. But now you've got a situation where you've got a communist mayor that wants to bankrupt the wealthy. Well, what are they going to do? They're going to move out. So you're going to be left with a non-affluent base in New York City. You're going to be left with the lowest common denominator. You're going to have rampid crime and you're going to have a police department that for generation, generation and a 20 to 25 years doesn't have the people working there wearing the badge, carrying the gun who can do anything about it. I this is so so his uh uh financial proposals as as insanely leftwing as they are are only one part of what I think is going to be a devastating hit for New York City.
Delasio primed it and this guy, man, he he is putting the final nails in the coffin in my opinion.
>> Nick, I think you're going to agree with me on this, but I truly believe he is trying to implode the city. Like, I I don't think he thinks this stuff works.
I think it's the communist part, but but it's also with the the dash of jihad.
And I think he's trying to push out every good person, destroy it, and then rebuild it into something that will look completely unlike New York and far closer to Gotham. Yeah.
>> Yeah. I I'm I'm not entirely sure. Um I I'll I'll put it this way. Uh yeah, I never thought the thing that that didn't make communism work was that it lacked jihad, but but here we are. Give another shot in New York. Um but but here's the part that I don't know if he gets this or not. You know, Margaret Thatcher is famous for saying that the problem with socialism is sooner or later you run out of other people's money. Well, you could get away with that longer in totalitarian communist countries because they could build walls and keep you in it with machine guns. And I disagree. I don't think he wants 99% of Ken's money.
I think he wants to take all of Ken's assets, then he wants to kill Ken and sell his organs on the black market.
Right. I don't think he's happy.
>> I don't think he's happy with any of it.
I think he sees them as as the enemy.
The problem that he's going to run into almost immediately is just to your point, people have no concept of who actually pays taxes in the United States in general and specifically in New York City. And all it would take is for maybe 50 to 100 some of the top earners in New York City to John Gulp that place and go somewhere else. And he's screwed. Like his overall tax, forget his $30 million crappy grocery store. forget his free bus rides. He He doesn't have enough to keep the lights on. He's going to be begging New York State for a bailout.
He's already going to a begging for a bailout. He's gonna he's going to beg the feds for a bailout. And and to to John's point, when you don't have a police force that can actually maintain order, when the police force is now being staffed by people who are likely to gain you to join in on the the rioting and the looting, >> it this become Mandani is about to turn New York escape from New York City into a documentary. Yeah. like it's no longer wild entertainment in the 80s. It's a documentary under his leadership because the infrastructure is not there to even sustain this uh to to a reasonable amount of time. You're going to start to see a crisis come very very quickly.
What I would what I would encourage Ken and all these other guys, don't threaten it. move link because the only way that New York City is going to correct at this point is if they feel the full weight of these policies and because mom Donnie unlike so many other Democrats comes right out and says he's a socialist and right out and says he wants to seize the means of production.
Great. Let that be the tagline for what happens next in New York.
>> Yeah. And by the way, Ken Griffin has said they still are moving a huge amount of the operations to Miami which is Gulch to to go with your reference there. Let me throw to this though because the other thing that's going on is it's not just that he's that M dami is trying to take out New York City. The communist ideas seem to be bursting forth absolutely everywhere that the Democrats are right now. There just are no more old school Democrats. They they have morphed into this new thing. Uh here is AOC with I guess comedian. I used to do standup with her, believe it or not, a lifetime ago, Alana Glazer.
And they just don't like rich people.
There's a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned, right?
You can't earn a billion dollars.
>> That's right.
>> You just can't earn that.
>> That's exactly correct.
>> You can you can get market power. You can break rules. You can do all sorts of things. You can abuse labor laws. You can pay people less than what they're worth. But you can't earn that, right?
And so you have to create a myth that since you didn't earn that, you have to create a myth of earning it.
>> Oh, I think we're going to have fun with this one. Uh, so to to get that level of wealth, you have to break rules, abuse labor laws, pay people less than they are worth. We checked it on my show yesterday. Elon employs 146,000 people across his companies. I am pretty sure that does not involve breaking rules. It's actually getting life to go interstellar. I'm pretty sure he's not abusing labor laws. He's building tunnels under the earth and he's got quadripolgics playing chess with their mind and paying less than they're worth.
I'm pretty sure the people of Tesla and SpaceX, etc., are compensated fairly.
John, this woman's an idiot. I don't have a question.
>> She's a I mean, look, great example with Elon, right? You take companies like Home Depot, the founders of billionaires, how many hundreds of thousands do they employ? UPS during Christmas has something like 800,000 to a million employees worldwide. The shareholders are really wealthy. The founders of the company, the main equity holders, as they should be for what they're contributing. I mean, this is stupidity beyond. But I don't think she really believes that. I think she knows full well. This just plays well to her base. This is good red meat for her base. Her district, if you know her district, is is a pretty low-income district. English is primarily the second language. So for her, this makes perfect sense. It positions her to be a presidential candidate, to your point, in this new insane Democratic party, and it ensures she will keep her district forever if she wants it, >> Nick. I mean, everything she said there is what you've been illustrating throughout the show, right?
>> Well, I I think I think most billionaires in America wish they were as rich as Hugo Chavez's daughter, right? Like, nobody knows wealth like a communist dictator, right? Yeah. Um, no, it's it's again it's absurd because it's coming from someone that has no conception of how economics, supply and demand markets actually work. She doesn't need to. She doesn't care. She's trying to win votes, not actually build a company or manage anything productive.
And one of the best ways to build votes is to actually appeal to envy and appeal to disgust. And so, you know, she talks about like you can't earn a billion dollars, so you have to create a myth.
Well, no, she believes in a myth and she didn't need to create it. she just needed to have about $100,000 in college debt to attain it. Because to your point, one of the biggest problems that we have on the right is we've been incredibly effective in the marketplace.
We've been incredibly effective on using scarce resources that have alternative purposes to meet the needs, wants, and demands of the marketplace. But at the same time, we've given up on so many culturally shaping institutions, whether it's Hollywood, whether it's journalism, whether it's academia, and now it's within our public school system as well.
Because in order to get a teaching degree, where do you got to go? Higher education. What's the most leftest element of almost any college university campus? The education department. This is the whole Antonio Grahamshy march through the institutions. Grahamshy understood this. Grahamshy was an Italian socialist in the 30s. He was imprisoned and he said, "You know what?
I really like Karl Marx, but nothing is going the way Markx promised it would."
And he even pointed out, he's like, "The capitalists seem to do a pretty good job of actually providing laborers with good jobs and a good life and a good wage.
So, how do we fix that? How do we change that?" And his whole thing was cultural Marxism. Well, how do you do that? You have to take over the culturally shaping institutions. And then you have to influence culture to think about reality in a very, very different way. And and it's not hard to see why in some of these environments, it's not hard to see why socialists thrive within the university system. Why? Because they can get tenure and they never pay any price for being wrong about anything. In fact, they get promoted, right? And and so this is what she is a product of. This is what they've been continuously pushing and everything from our university system to kids cartoons to you name it. And so it's not difficult when you have a generation of of young people that look at this and go, "Oh yeah, that that's why I'm not succeeding is because Elon Musk is holding me down." Like it it's it's absurd on its face. Right. And by the way, I don't I don't remember the exact I don't remember the exact numbers, but let's not forget that Elon's pay package with Tesla, his his reward basically was only if he hit numbers that were so insane the entire board was like, "Yeah, let him do it. He'll never hit these numbers." and they sold so many cars that he got a huge package and then of course what happened Elizabeth Warren tried to stop that too that didn't work.

One on the crazy side, and then we'll end uh we'll end on a positive note before we hit the weekend here. But but Megan Kelly, uh you guys have both talked quite a bit about her and Tucker and what's going on with this strange portion of the right.
Uh this edited video that shows her talking in January 26 versus quite literally just days ago to me seems like the most damaging piece of evidence of her descent that you could possibly put out there. Take a look.
>> Islam is not consistent with the values of America, of the West. They should stay in countries that don't care about keeping church and state separated. They should stay in countries that don't care about protecting free speech. They should stay in countries that don't care about women's rights. That's where Islam can fester and grow. It's great. I mean, I'm sure if that's like your thing and you don't care about like genital mutilation, you might really enjoy living in an Islamic country. think he's understanding there may be some new listeners over here, you know, like like he's gotten very very popular lately, I read with Muslim viewers because he's been standing up for Islam, you know, and I have to tell you, Mark, it's been something I've noticed just since I've gotten a sort of more cleareyed on Israel that a lot of the anti-Muslim rhetoric that's put out there originates with people who are very, very pro-Israel.
who kind of need us to demonize them.
>> Yeah. I didn't I didn't need Israel to demonize Islam when I saw the planes hit the World Trade Center. I was pretty much like, "Hey, you know, that seems pretty bad in and of itself." I didn't require additional introspection or influence from anyone else. You know, can I say something of this real quick?
David Desh Duza did the best breakdown of this I've seen so far. It would be one thing. It would be one thing if Megan Kelly or um Tucker Carlson or any of these guys had come out and said, "I'm going to systematically explain why 47 seconds ago I believed one thing and now I believe the polar and complete opposite." And here is the logically consistent argument I'm going to make with the supporting evidence and facts in order to sustain it. None of them did that. None of them. It was just overnight. Israel explains everything.
Look, look, you want to be skeptical of the Israeli government? Good. I'm expect I'm skeptical of all governments. But the the degree of hostility and animosity here is completely out of proportion.
And there has been no effective explanation for any of it. And that leads people to wonder like, okay, what's going on right here? Have you converted? Are you getting paid? What is it? Like, I'm willing to hear the argument, but what I hear is vibes. And what I hear is to the extent that arguments are made, they're completely devoid of logical consistency or or or actual evidence. Like the the perfect example of this is Tucker Carlson going, "Well, there's far more Christians than cutter." Yeah, they're part of an imported workforce that lives on a specialized compound. Tucker, what do you think happens? What do you think happens if the Filipino plumber goes down and starts prostilitizing in the name of Jesus? Well, if they do that in Jerusalem, nothing happens. And if they do that in cutter, they can be imprisoned. Do you not know this? Do you not understand this? Do you not care about this? That's the intellectual dishonesty. I'm just so tired. And the fact that Megan is now doing this, I'm like, I I don't I don't know how to explain it because they won't. And so I'm assuming the worst at this point. So John, it seems to me there's two things going on here. One is what sort of Nick is talking about, which is that there's this obvious flip on something she seemed to be very clear about in January. She now is 100% the other way.
That's one portion, but the other part is that she's basically like, well, Tucker is just reading the room and the room says there's a lot of Muslims and he wants clicks. And in essence, what she's really saying is, I want clicks.
That's what she's really saying. I want clicks and yeah, there are two billion Muslims and there's only 16 mill pesky Jews. So, let's do this.
>> Tucker's Demon obviously jumped over to Megan because I mean, this is just preposterous, right? This whole thing.
Look, we know why they're doing this, Dave. We we we know you and I saw since what late 15 early 16 the Qatari influence op in DC. I mean they would hang around the lobby at Trump DC when it was a Trump hotel walking up to influencers out in the open offering them 105 $20,000 a month to spew pro cutter messaging. So I wonder how much you know they deny they got paid by cutters. So I'll ask the question. I don't personally believe that. I think there you can be paid by a proxy. You can be paid by a cutout. We all know that. But I think it's it's highly plausible and highly likely that a lot of money flowed to people like Tucker and Megan to take these preposterous positions. I asked one of the one of their supporters one day. I said, "What has Israel done to you? Don't tell me about the world. Like, has Israel coming to your house at night and woken you up when you needed a good length sleeping?
What has Israel done to you?" And they said, "Are you kidding me?" I said, "Just give me an answer." And they hung the phone up on me. So, this is what you're dealing with. You you can't have dialogue with these people. You can't have discourse. They just scream Israel Jews and and hang the phone up or or run away and and they're not normal human beings. So, it's all for money clearly.
Have you, Nick, have you ever seen anyone burn up their credibility as quickly as Megan? It's one thing that Tucker for the last year has been slowly going down this path and we've all been kind of seeing it and I reached out to him privately before I ever said a word publicly and he did not bite. But Megan, it seems to me what happened with Megan was the day she saw Fuentes with Tucker, she saw the energy and she's like, I'm going for that. And that's why she was quiet on Candace, if not outright defending Candace, while she'll go after other young mothers like Meghan Markle, it's or Megan McCain. Um, but that I've never seen anyone just burn up all of their cred with so many decent people and just turn on so many friends just just like that.
>> No, I I haven't either. I mean, again, I was someone where once upon a time, Tucker, Candace, Megan, all of them, I I I enjoyed the reporting. I enjoyed their analysis. Um, and then but slowly over time, and and again, it's not like I threw everyone overboard the moment we had a disagreement, >> right?
>> Like I I stood by and listen. I said, "Well, look, okay, we agree on all these other things, but we don't agree on this thing." They were the ones that chose to make one thing everything. And and the biggest part that bothered me is that the moment I would offer any criticism, I didn't even say like, "Oh, I really like Megan, but this or you know, I really appreciate all the work Tucker has done, but I don't agree with this."
And then I would watch the comments section and it was instantly, you've been paid off. Did you get your 7,000 shekels? You're a traitor to your country.
>> And I'm like, wait a second here. Like, I fought overseas for my country. I have done nothing but fight for conservative values since I was 15. And now because I question one thing about what Tucker said. I am a traitor. I'm like, "No, no, no. That's manufactured."
>> And I've seen this before. I've seen this line of argumentation and ostracization before. I see it on the left.
>> This is the way the left argues. It's like, "Oh, you don't agree with everything I want or you don't agree with what I may say I care about all these other things, but this is the thing I really care about." Well, the moment you present any counterargument, I don't engage with your argument. I engage an ad hominemum attack. I attack you. I attacked your character. I attacked your motivations. I'm like, you're not getting this over on me. For 10 years, I sat in the general assembly and watched as the Democrats did this every dang day. I'm not about to let my own side start to do it and get away with it as if this is normal or okay. It isn't. Again, as Desh said, if you want to go and make a good, comprehensive, wellthoughtout argument that you are willing to allow someone else to scrutinize and combat with, fine. I'm happy to hear that discussion. But they won't. they won't do it and they know why they won't do it. It's because they'd lose.
>> Well, and that's the ultimate irony of all of this. If they were making those arguments and they were open to the discussions as they used to at least pretend to be, I would be all about having those discussions and I would literally welcome Megan to my home for dinner. She loves David's chicken parm and she could have it and we would talk it out over some tequila. But she's chosen another path. But I I don't want to end on that. I want to end on something very pro America positive that illustrates all of the goodness of this country and that things aren't I don't think as bad as the panakans and the black pillars believe. And as you guys know, you probably saw this video, Marco Rubio stepped in for the day as if the guy is not wearing enough hats and the meme about him taking all the jobs and all the stuff. Uh he decided or somebody decided, maybe it was Trump decided that he would be press secret press secretary for a day as Caroline Levit took the day off. Uh, and here is Rubio being asked about the greatness of America. And this is the this is an edited version that his team put out, and it's just spectacular. Take a look.
>> I I got to ask you, what is your hope for America at a time such as this?
>> My hope for America and my hope for America is what it's always been. I think it's the hope I hope we all share.
We want it to continue to be the place where anyone from anywhere can achieve anything. where you're not limited by the circumstances of your birth, by the color of your skin, by your ethnicity, but frankly, it's a place where you are able to overcome challenges and achieve your full potential. I think that should be the goal of every country in the world. But I think in the US, we're not perfect. Our history is not one of perfection, but it's still better than anybody else's history. Ours is a story of perpetual improvement. Each generation has left the next generation of Americans freer, more prosperous, safer, and that is our goal as well. And as we come upon this 250 year anniversary, I think we have a lot to learn and be proud of in our history. It is one of perpetual and continuous improvement where each generation has done its part to bring us closer to fulfilling the vision that the founders of this country had upon its founding.
>> I mean guys, I don't know if you could see, even though I've seen it five times already, I don't know if you could see me scribbling during that, but just if I go with the buzzwords and threw it there. My hope we share achieve not limited overcome not perfect better than anywhere else freer uh freer generation learn improvement like everything there it's it's positive it's positive and it's affirming and it's and it's giving you something so you will have some autonomy in your life it's quite literally the reverse of every lefty thing that we have uh portrayed in this show this this guy I mean he's he's the allar of the show right now >> he's upstanding you know this is the Marco Rubio I saw saw 20 years ago when he was speaker of the Florida House.
Then he went to the Senate and deluded himself down. So I'm not surprised by this because I saw this guy and I always knew he was this guy. John McCain got his hooks in him. Marco was a young senator and he started to pivot to a place I didn't like. But man is he back and is he back hard and I just love it.
I think he's I think he has become a rock star in his own right. And uh he's going to be formulable in 28 as we sit here right now.
>> Yeah. Uh Nick, final word on all this.
It seems to me that there obviously the media is going to try to put some kind of wedge between him and JD cuz JD is the air apparent as VP. They're going to want all that fighting. I just don't think it matters right now. I just think let's just all keep doing good stuff.
Let's wrap Iran up nicely. Let's get some economic wins. Maybe we get an expansion of the Abraham Accords. Gas price goes down and then maybe maybe the midterms go okay and and we've got at least two more years of this country.
What do you think? I think um I think for a few years now the right has largely been defined by what we oppose.
And that makes sense because I think just as humans we're designed to see threats. We're designed to see danger.
And when we see it, it motivates us to action in a way that sometimes good news does not. Um but what I love so much about what Rubio said there is that it reminds us what we're fighting for, not just what we're fighting against.
>> Yeah. And ultimately ultimately if you really want people to be motivated and passionate I can tell you as a former soldier the best soldiers are the ones that love what they're fighting for more than they hate what they're fighting against.
>> And I think Rubio perfectly articulated it there in such a way to where that's a that's a guy I want to charge a hill with. And um and it and it's a guy that I think it's a statement and it's a vision that I think most Americans uh deep down yearn for and recognize. uh and they haven't been able to hear it much lately because of all the fighting and and that fighting is necessary by the way. Uh but ultimately I want to know what I'm fighting for and I'm very grateful for Marco Rubio for doing such a brilliant job of articulating it.
>> Gentlemen, you are welcome back anytime.
I thank you for playing along. We've got a little We've got a little this week.
Oh, wait. Uh John, you wanted to mention, by the way, you're doing a little work with our lieutenant governor right now. Let me give you 30 seconds to toss that up.
>> Jay Collins, it's uh jfor.com. He's running for governor. A lot like what Rubio spoke about. The guy grew up on a failed farm, grew up on welfare, became a green beret and lost a leg in Afghanistan and now he's lieutenant governor of Florida. So, it's really the American dream. But I I encourage people to check him out. I'm the uh senior adviser to his gubanatorial campaign.
Far and away just an awesome candidate and we have really high hopes.
>> He is I I know him personally. He's been on the show. He is a he is a great great human being. Uh I thank you guys. We've got This Week on the internet coming up in just moments. And we have canned laughter as if we were a mainstream show because the audience in those shows don't know when to laugh. So, they have to pump laughter in. We're going to do that, too. Thanks, guys. See you.
Thank you. Thank you. Great to be here once again, guys. This week on the internet, you know, we're in an era of rebranding. Facebook became Meta, Twitter became X, Dunkin Donuts became Duncan, and in the most unshocking rebrand of all, Nick Fuentes became a moderate Democrat.
>> I'm a non-woke moderate Democrat. I think the GOP needs to be destroyed. I think the corrupt criminal government of Trump needs to be slowed down.
>> Good luck, John Federman. You're our only hope. Of course, more surprising than that was that Megan Kelly this week became an imam.
And Tucker, well, he became an Islamic jigalo. So, actually, nothing's changed there. This week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosted a press briefing in lie of Caroline Levette. One reporter asked Rubio what his DJ name would be after a video emerged of him DJing at a family wedding. Rubio replied to the reporter, "You're not ready for my DJ name." But I actually think we already know his DJ name.
>> Little Marco. Little Marco. Speaking of the spotlight, the Met Gala happened this week and nowhere was the disconnect from reality stronger. Actress Sarah Pollson wore a dollar bill over her eyes to call out the 1%. The actress, who's worth an estimated $12 million, used her outfit to call out the world's elite while attending the $100,000 per person Met Gala. To quote Benjamin Franklin, "We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid."
This kind of virtue signaling reminds me of Anne Hathaway last week calling for skinny models in Devil Wears Prada 2 to be replaced by fatter ones.
>> So, when I came on the set and I saw that the models who were very lovely were all a bit traditionally sized, I kind of went to the producers and was like, "Wouldn't it be great if there were just more bodies, more types of bodies, and uh and they looked around and they said, "We're so annoyed at ourselves that we didn't notice that."
And they made the change in like two seconds. So, all credit to them. She's so body positive that she has to be surrounded by fat chicks all the time. I mean, come on. It's The Devil Wears Prada, not The Devil Wears a Fa.
It's also not Louis Wider, Orbit Outfitters.
Vicki does, Hermes, or Dolce and Gigabana.
I think that made sense. You get it?
Maybe as much as I do. This week on the internet, a poll from Gavin Newsome's office asked Californians whether illegal immigration is a serious problem. 35% of respondents answered yes, it is a serious problem. And 65% of respondents answered no unoa.
And speaking of people struggling with English and numbers, I still can't believe that Ilhan Omar mistook the Roman numeral two in World War II to mean 11. The last time the Alien Enemies Act was invoked, it was used to detain and deport German, Japanese, Italian immigrants during World War 11.
>> To think that woman graduated the top of her class at the Quality Learing Center.
You know, my team went undercover in Minneapolis and got footage of the Learing Cent's graduation ceremony.
Check it out.
>> My plan is that I will be pilot and I'll help everyone.
>> Pilot?
>> YEAH, HE'S A PILOT. GREAT.
LOOK, I LOVE DUNKING ON Ilhan as much as the next guy, but it's fairly obvious to any observer that she was just including other wars like the Greco Persian Parthion Wards, Shang Zoo War, and of course the uh Bananas and Rice War.
Jokes aside, isn't it a little ironic she's the one calling us stupid?
>> These these people are just idiots. I I really, you know, I'm I'm at the point where it's become really hard to to have an intellectual debate with any of these people. The the dumbing of the United States has arrived because how else do we get a Trump presidency again?
>> That woman is calling us dumb. Is irony truly dead? That would be like OJ Simpson writing a book about how he would have killed his wife.
>> Oh, wait. He did do that. or if Tiger Woods became a DEA agent or a driver's ed instructor.
This week on the internet, news emerged that the gates to hell are starting to burn out. The gates to hell is a giant crater in the Turk Menistan desert that has been burning continuously for more than 50 years. When contacted about why the crater is finally starting to burn out after all these years, the devil cited high gas prices, which is also the reason why Spirit Airlines went out of business earlier this week. Unless it was really this.
>> Go suck another dart.
>> Okay, that's funny. That's funny. Uh, speaking of the devil, Zorhan mom Dami effed around and found out when billionaire CEO Ken Griffin decided to expand Citadel's offices in Miami, Florida, adding thousands of jobs, citing Zorhan's video outside his penthouse as a deciding factor. I'm asked the same thing Elizabeth Warren did with Spirit Airlines. She blocked their merger with JetBlue because she said she didn't want four giant airlines controlling everything. yada yada yada.
The next time you go suck a dirty dick, it'll have to be on a United flight out of Newark.
>> Go suck another.
>> Yeah, that's progressive logic for you.
It's like trying to ace the SATs, but you're being tutored at the Quality Learing Center. So, if you're looking for something to do this weekend to avoid the insanity of the internet, I always recommend revisiting a classic movie you haven't seen in a while. And this week, my pick is Rocky 11.
You fought the double Russian in that one. Movies have a way of pulling you out of reality for a couple hours. You stop thinking about the internet, politics, Zorhan, and just become invested in the characters. And look at our hero of the week, Spencer Pratt, running for mayor of Los Angeles. The guy watched Batman once and never came back. And that is this week on the internet. Now log off.
