[00:00:18]In the eyes of many, the Fed lost its way in recent years. It became distracted by concerns far removed from its core mission and mandate, drifting into matters such as climate policy and DEI initiatives with the Fed straying from its mandate. These duties are now mine, Mr. President, because of the trust you have placed in me.

[00:00:40]I accept them with gratitude and will strive every day to serve our fellow citizens well.

[00:00:48]And in final, I'll just say I'm going to look around and try to hold on to this special moment.

[00:00:53]But after we leave this stage, the real work begins. So, let's begin that work.
