Why has healthcare become so expensive in America?

[00:00:06]Unfortunately, what we have is uh prices that are being artificially jacked up uh with the assistance of the insurance companies. When the insurance companies got in bed with the federal government, that's what led to the skyrocketing cost of healthcare. But I think what we need to do is get the federal government out of healthcare and allow people to do things like pay money out of pocket.

[00:00:27]Because when people start paying money out of pocket, they can see exactly how much a service costs. They they can pay for it. Instead of, you know, just like with education, right? A college education, it's like, well, what do you care how much it costs if the insurance is going to cover it. So, what I what I think we should have we should have a uh complete choice when it comes to healthcare. People should be able to choose their own insurance. People should be able to pay out of pocket. Um and I think once we start doing that, um the the the healthcare costs would would go down because it it's just completely ridiculous that uh you know, we clearly have a problem with with healthcare being unaffordable.
