She's like a freaking wilderness lodge at this point in her living room. And so she wants these things for herself too. And so she starts talking, showing him the bear pictures, and he finally after like 10 minutes gives her a price of 25 for the sty. And then she's like, "What about this one?" And he's like, "You know, I'll tell you what, 15 each if you were to get them all."

>> Well, no. Like, so my mom can't take a freaking hint. And my mom's like, "Oh, okay. Well, which one do you like, Dave?" I'm like, "I like that one."

She's like yeah I think I like this one. She points at the nonst. I was like okay mom. And then the lady comes back and she's like wait is he selling them to you? I was like I was like yeah he gave us a price and uh he I was like 15 for each of those ones.
>> And so so she's like well what about the stif? I said well he originally said 25 for the stif. She's like, "Okay." And she like walked away like looking all upset and I was like, "I'll just buy the sty for 25 bucks." So, I bought it. But it was a really weird interaction. Like, I'm not going to like lie to her and say I'm not going to sell it, but she's made it very uncomfortable.

He asked my mom like 10 times, "Are you going to take care of it? Are you going to take care of it?" Three $5 items. 80. Actually, one was a $2 item, the eight track player that sold for 60. And it didn't even work.

I spent I I spent I think $160, maybe $200 the whole weekend and I brought in like 2,000 in inventory.

And I'm like, "Oh, okay. Well, can I look around?" She's like, "I guess." I was like, "Oh crap." Like, she doesn't want me here. But she let me look around. And when I looked around, first of all, she had a really cool bike for sale, like a electric bike, a trike, where it's like got the one front wheel and the two back wheels. But that was 700 carry. I know you and I would had fun riding it, but I decided not to do it because we probably would lose money for the Tesla.

>> So, but but she she's like the tools I think for sale are for sale, too. And I look and it's a giant 6ft tall Snap-on tool chest. Giant thing, six foot chest of Snap-On, six foot chest of Mac. I open it up, there's like freaking high-end stuff in there, but there's also a lot of not high-end. So, it's an just the toolbox itself is probably a $1,000 toolbox local, right? It's not great. It's not in great condition, but it's still probably $1,000 toolbox.

It's big. It's like a double double layer one with all these different drawers. Snap-on. And then there's a Mac one next to it. And I was like, man, this is freaking nice. And I open it up and I start kind of going through it and I get like a a thing of sockets that are snap-on. And I've got that in my hand.
She said tools. So I'm like probably just some of the tools. I'll just grab a few things. And I'm looking and there is a lot of drawers with like just SK, which is a decent brand. It's what I bought when you were here, Kevin. I just sold a socket set for 25 bucks, but it's not like Snap-On where the socket sets are 100 bucks plus.
>> And uh I found a Snap-On hand tool. And then I found a couple Micrometers uh Mi Mitutomo or whatever, which are always good.
>> Yeah. And so I I have these in my hand.
And the guy comes out and he's like really cranky cuz he like definitely just got dragged out of bed by his wife cuz I was looking at the tools.
>> And uh I was like, "So you're selling your tools?" He's like, "Yeah, I want to, but I don't want to sell them like you got them." Something like that. Cuz I had them in my hand. He's like, "I want to sell all of it."
>> I said, "Okay, you know, I'm open to that. Like what are you thinking for all of it?" He's like, "Probably at least 2500." And I was like, "Oh, >> well, >> I don't really want to do that." Cuz like listen, I do think it was probably four grand worth of stuff. Maybe even five grand if I got a little extra for the tool. Like it wasn't a bad deal, but not really what I'm looking for >> for these giant heavy tool boxes to lug them around. And I said, "Well, would you consider just selling me the stuff in my hand? You probably could still get 2500 for the rest, which you probably can."
>> And he was like, "Oh, I don't know, man." I was like I was like, "Well, it's up to you." And he's like, "Well, how much would you give me?" I was like, "I'd give you 40 for what I got here."
He's like, "They're worth a lot more than that." I said, "Yeah."
>> He's like, "All right." He took the 40 bucks. I was like, "All right."
>> I was like, >> I I was a little off on the micrometer thingy. I thought it was worth 300. It looks like it's worth about 200, but then the other one I listed for 89. And then the socket set's probably 125. So, it's still like 400. And the hand tool is 15 bucks. So, it's probably like 400 bucks worth of stuff for 40. So, 10x. It was a good flip. It was a good flip. I had a video the other day where I came across a nice big, it was like a 4ft tool box, Craftsman, good shape, >> and had tools in it. It wasn't jam-packed with tools. So, I started going through it and I saw one Snap-On or two Snap-On wrenches.

And I he wanted 350 bucks. And I I kind of hemmed and hawed because there was some other stuff in there.

>> I know, but there was I I only saw two Snap-On and one socket set of Mac and then a few a couple other Mac pieces and the rest of it was just kind of it was full, but it was full of just not not tools even, just stuff.

He would not sell them. It went into 350 for the batch. And and he said right off the bat, 350. And I'm not budgeting.

Like my dad's the same way. He's like, "Oh, you left a Craftsman toolbox for $100." Cuz my mom sent in my picture.
They know how much that stuff.

People aren't Craftsman is like, >> not to offend, but it's a bit of a boomer brand >> because back in the day they did lifetime replacements at Sears and people are like stuck on this, but it's not like that anymore. It's just kind of a crappy brand now. And now it's all muddied. The water's all muddy. Like, >> you know, it's like when they start selling a brand at Walmart and all of a sudden it's not a high-end brand. It's kind of like a junk brand.

The first was I was at a sale buying jewelry. Do you remember the big jewelry buy? I was buying stuff for a quarter, 50 cents. Turned out to be good. And I'm picking out of this box and this table full of stuff. Well, the very next week was the sale with this craftsman thing.
And that box of jewelry was at his yard sale at that point. So, he had bought what I didn't pick and put it there. I didn't recognize it.
>> I bought the whole box because I regretted the week before having a jewelry deal and not buying everything because of the one piece I might have missed. And so, I bought that whole box for 15 or 10 bucks. Was that piece still there?
>> I found Well, I didn't know there was a piece there. I just I I looked through it pretty good the first week, so I wasn't sure, but I didn't know it was that box. It Andrew calls me up, the guy who does my videos. He's like, "Do you recognize this box?" I'm like, "What are you talking about?" He's like, "You bought jewelry out of this box the previous week and now it's at that guy's yard sale." So that guy goes out to sales, >> buy stuff.

And I'm like, "Sorry, bud. I didn't come back."
And he's like, "Will you help me?" He's got a snowblower he just bought at this yard. So, he wants me to help him load it into his car.

I'm at 1,200. I would if he had said 1,200, I would have had to like truly consider it based on what he had there because I do think it was it would have been a good flip at 1,200. But I I'm not going to go back there because he even said to me, he's like, "I don't really care if I sell it." And you know, whenever they say half and see if he'll deliver it to you for free. That's why I I read this thing because that's half.
But that's what I did today. Lady won $1,400 >> for a bunch of stuff >> and I offered her $850 and she took it like that.

But I don't know. He was so emotionally attached. That was the play on what I what I bought today because I got a call on Friday, I think, from it because that was a three-day garage sale and I was like, you know, I'll just I'll just wait.

And at the end of the day, the way you feel is like, dang it, I did all this work and I still have all this garbage. Like >> I tried to do I think we talked about it last week. I was going to do this sale where I do it's been a long week. if that was just last week. Uh where I was going to do clothes, like boxes of clothes on Dibdit and it went horrible.
Just like absolutely horrible. I'm selling a box a 12 x 12 x 12 full of clothing for $2.
>> And I was like, well, okay. So, I did like five of them and then I was like, all right, I'm done and I'm just going to get rid of them. And so, they literally ended out on the street and I put up a sign saying free clothes and like five garbage bags of clothing just got picked up by random people. But like, you know, it there's so much when you try to do bulk stuff like that.
There's got to be it having bad stuff in it. Like you could have the same amount of stuff or you could just take the good stuff and have that and it would sell for more than all of it, >> right? I think because I was putting stuff that was legitimately I paid up for that was good. I was putting them into the boxes to make the boxes even more appealing. Like, hey, here's a $30 item. I did that with a few items that I got at like estate sales. It didn't help at all. They still sell them for two bucks and I was like >> we don't want the junk which is also presents an opportunity right it's why storage unit people do well it's why state sale people do well you know so car >> but why are people buying pallets of clothes from Tekken >> well I think it's a different style I mean I think there are some people that >> you got to find those people that want to do the $8 items >> right do you think everything in there was even worth $8 some things worth He I I don't know. I don't know about his clothes. Yeah, but I mean I don't know.

>> Yeah. No, I bought them. I mean, like there was a whole table full of like the smaller stuff like the Adorables and just random, you know, Disney Funko Pop type stuff. Don bought a lot of that and I bought the box of Funko. I've already sold some. I've made almost all the money back already, you know. Um, it was cool stuff. Like there was like Figoral, you know, bag clips, you know, like the blind bag stuff for like My Hero Academia and stuff like that. That was a pretty good buy. Um, you know, I'm just kind of I've been kind of out of it for a little bit with that part of picking.
I've been focused so much on going to card shows. Like I went traveled like over three hours this weekend, you know, back and forth to card shows. So, um, it's kind of nice to go to a yard sale.
I hadn't done it much the until the last couple weeks.

But when it was Funko Pop time, the boy came over, her kid came over. like and it was two bucks a piece so it wasn't like outrageous and there was a table well I don't know how many there were 20 30 something like that and I had already looked up a couple that I thought were interesting and one of them was worth 25 bucks and I was like hey I'll give you a dollar a piece for all of them or I'll give you two bucks for this one he said two bucks for that one I'm like >> Funkos are not like you know like Avon and stuff like that there are a lot of Funkos that are worth some money there is also just a ton of Funkos and Most of them aren't worth much, but you know, I mean, when when we when I moved here, we were at the Browns, Dave, you were there and I we got all those Funkos from that guy.
>> I was picking up all the the mascots, college mascots. Those are 40 50 bucks a piece.
>> Um, they're all gone. Yeah, I sold everything from that. So, I mean, that was that was killer. Those those we made a ton of money on that. So, >> there's nuance to it.

And usually if you get a big box, you're finding a couple vaulted ones that make you a profit and then everything else is filler, you know, for auctions or whatever.

I was I I was getting some Pyrex and I just saw a stack of Pyrex and you know, one was a blue butterprint one and I was like, "How much for these?" She's like eight bucks. So, I just took them all. But because I was doing that, there was one other picker there and he's digging through the toy thing and he pulls out the these little people and he shows >> some little people are worth a ton of money. Oh, yeah.

Well, to be fair, Tina sold my 3D printer because I wanted more space and I had five and so I sold my cheapest one so I could put them all on one shelf.
