These athletes actually spend hours everyday sweating in polyester clothing. If sweating in polyester was enough to cause major endocrine disruption, infertility or cancer athletes, polyester is made from PET. PET is a plastic derived polymer. Scientists are studying on microplastics. Which chemicals show in laboratory and animal studies but laboratory evidence is not as same as human evidence. Guys, we have no human trials. We have no studies. We have no strong clinical evidence. What we do know is that polyester can trap more heat, can lead to more moisture, may increase your sweating, irritation, and discomfort in some people. So that's why cotton underweares or clothes are preferred for breathability. But claiming that your polyester underwear is secretly destroying your hormones every time you sweat, that's a conclusion science has not reached yet.
