To build a successful digital product business, start by identifying a specific problem people face that you can solve, create a simple product (such as a master class, AI tool, or mini course), launch it as a beta product at a low price ($7-$27) to gather feedback, and drive traffic through search-based platforms like YouTube and Pinterest where users actively search for solutions. The key is to focus on selling outcomes rather than features, and to aim for 100 visitors to your landing page daily, knowing that even at the industry average conversion rate of 1%, this will generate at least one sale per day.

How I Made $1,526 a Day Selling Digital Products (Step-by-Step)Added:
What if I told you that I made ยฃ1,135 in the last 24 hours? Right? And if you see the conversion to US dollars, that's $1,526.
Now, I'll just show you the date. So, you can see that this is my dashboard and you can also see my name here. So, there is no funny business going on. I didn't run any ads. So, this software also tracks my ad spend. And you can see it's complete profit, 100% profit, zero cost. I also don't post multiple times a day on social media. And I don't sell on Etsy. Now, what if I also told you that exactly a year ago, I was laid off from my corporate job. I felt hopeless. I felt a huge amount of shame. I had no idea how I was going to pay my bills, right? And now a year later, I have an online business where I can make money like this while working whenever I want.
Now, let's be clear. I started from zero, okay? I didn't have a trust fund, no rich parents, no one investing me.
All I had was my laptop, Wi-Fi, okay?
And a crazy amount of motivation to never let anyone else decide my financial future again. not a job, not anyone. And so, in this video, I'm going to walk you through the exact steps that you can take to build a business like this. Plus, I'm going to show you how to avoid all of the mistakes that slowed me down along the way. Okay. Now, before we start, you need to know two very important things. AI helped me build this business. And so all of the AI prompts that I've used along the way to create my digital products, to market my digital products, I actually give you for free down below in my free AI database, okay? So go and check that out. It's got all of my prompts. You should also know that this isn't a one-off, okay? I help people in my communities actually sell their own digital products. Can I guarantee it for you watching right now? Of course not, because I don't know how committed you'll be. Look, I actually made this money while I was unpacking my suitcase after a wild trip in Thailand because my business is passive, okay? I makes money no matter what I'm doing. But it wasn't always like this. And I wasn't born knowing how to do it, right? I had to work hard. I had to show up every single day to build this. But that's the promise that you have to make to yourself if you want to see success. And so if you can do that, if you can make that promise to yourself, here's the steps that you're going to follow. So first thing you need to do is decide if you want to go audience first or product first. Okay? So for digital products that make money, there's one of two ways to start. You could either start by building an audience. So this is what a lot of coaches will tell you. They will say, "Go out and start posting on social media, grow your audience, and then sell to that audience." Now, the problem with this is that it takes a long time to build an audience. It can take months, maybe even years, right? If you're not that good at it, and in that time, you kind of have nothing to show for it.
You're not getting paid during that time. So that is why I personally do not like this approach. My approach that I have seen success with and that I recommend for you is to go product first. Okay, what does that mean? It means that you need to decide first what type of digital product you want to sell. You're going to create that product. And that's a lot easier than you think. We're going to come on to it.
And then you're going to create content.
You're going to drive traffic. You're going to find people that are interested in that product. And that is the type of people that you're going to attract. And you don't have to do it through social media. Okay. So, your first step right now is to decide what route you want to be on. Do you want to be here with me and do product first, which is how I built my business, or do you want to play the slower game, which is audience first? Now, I will say even though this is slower, once you do launch your digital product, if you already have an audience or you spent time building that audience, when you do launch it to that audience, you're going to make a lot of money right away. Okay? But with this one, this is more slow and steady.
You're going to make increments money over time, bit by bit, as you grow your audience, but people are also going to be able to buy your product because you have one. Okay? So, that's the first thing you need to think about. Okay? So now that you've chosen your route, it's time to create your product. This is where so many people are overthinking it. So many people are getting stuck because they're worried about what niche should I choose and I don't know enough about anything and what will people buy from me. So allow me to make it very simple for you. You do not need to be an expert. You do not need to worry about your niche. All you need to find is a specific issue or problem that people are suffering with that you can help with. something that you have overcome in your life. And I actually have AI prompts down below in the database to help you with this. Please do not overthink it. It just needs to be a problem, no matter how small. Something that you're one or two steps ahead of people with. Now, keep in mind, there are always going to be experts that you might feel less qualified than. You might feel like who am I to teach this thing when there are other people that have oh are oh so many more steps ahead of me but you've got to remember that a lot of those people are not in touch with people that are at the start people that just need to get going and so if you can just help someone take one step forward that is all you need in your product now in terms of the format should it be a PDF should it be an ebook should it be a course it doesn't matter as much as you being able to solve the problem for someone. So you need to think about okay if I was suffering with this thing, what can I digest the easiest to help me with that problem?
Now to date that would usually have been in the last 5 years a PDF guide or courses. Okay, those are the two types of products that most people were selling. However, we have moved on.
Okay, AI is here and as a society we have moved on and there are still people on YouTube preaching that you can just sell a PDF. Very difficult to do if you don't already have an audience, right?
Or you don't already have a proven strategy or you can just create a course. Again, this is something that takes people a lot of time where I recommend that you stick to a very simple format. My favorites are master classes. These are one-off classes that you can deliver either faced or faceless and you can deliver them live and sell the replays. They're also super easy to create and you can pre-ell them which means that you can sell them before you create them. Okay, we're going to come on to that. That's a gem. So, make sure you stay for that. Okay. The other type of products that I really love are AI tools. These are super easy tools to build in AI. You don't need to be a coder. You don't even need to be super techy. If you can just explain what you want AI to create in normal language and type it into a chatbot, you can actually create an AI tool. We also call these like mini apps as well because they're kind of like small apps that people can use to get instant wins. And I have videos on how to create those and I'll leave them down below. My third favorite type of product is a mini course. So, if you're someone that is confident on camera, if you've presented a lot, let's say in your 9 to5, you actually think that you could do four to five up to eight actually. So, between four to eight tutorials showing someone something and these are really good for more processdriven things. Let's say that you have got really really good at negotiation skills and you could create a mini course teaching someone how to negotiate something specific. How to negotiate a payriseise, how to negotiate discounts with wedding vendors, right?
You could do two to three videos on that. That could be a mini course or you could do longer. You could do shorter more videos but for a shorter amount of time. It doesn't matter. What I don't want you to do though is think that you need to go out and buy a camera or you need to be a YouTuber. All you need is your mobile phone, okay? And a decent mic, okay? Order a mic from Amazon is what you need if you want to do a mini course or masterass. And that is it. And I would highly highly recommend that you do not actually finish your first product. Okay, now it's going to sound weird like Michelle's telling me to sell this unfinished product. When I say finish, I mean perfect. And a lot of us never release something because it is 90% there. You know, I just want to add this one little thing. And I'm not sure about my design. And I don't know if somebody wants another lesson and I it just keeps going on and on. And when you think about a product being done, finished perfect, you actually never get there. And so I want you to instead change your mindset and think, "Okay, if I can get this product 80% there and it's going to help people, I'm just going to put it out there." Okay? You're just going to put it out there. You're going to launch it for a low price.
You're going to let people know that this is your first product. We call it a beta product. You're just going to get it out there for feedback. Okay? Price at $7 if you must. anywhere between $7 and $27 for your first product, but get it out there, get feedback, and then you can perfect it afterwards. Now, how long should you spend creating your first product? Honestly, one day. Anytime I spend longer than a day perfecting a product, I go overboard and I probably add stuff that people don't need or it becomes too complicated. Keep it simple.
Even if you do want to do a PDF or an ebook, you don't need 50 pages. You need 10 pages and you need to be able to get people a quick win. Then get it out there. Okay, I'm going to talk about how you find people to buy your product in a minute. The second step is to have somewhere to sell it. Now, in this video, I'm not going to go into where to sell cuz I have a ton of videos on that.
But what I do want to tell you is that the page, we call it a landing page. The web page, it doesn't have to be a website, okay? It needs to be a web page. It needs to follow a very specific format. Okay, so let me tell you what this web page needs because I've got the list here. It needs to have a really clear result. You need to tell people what result they're going to get from your digital product. It needs to be really clear who it's for. And this is where it's so important that you create a product that solves a very specific problem. I do not want to see you creating a healthy eating guide. I want to see you creating a nutrition guide for meals under 500 calories that can be prepared in 10 minutes with an air fryer because I would buy that. Okay, do you see how specific that is? And so when you have your landing page, you need to be really clear. This is for people that want to eat high protein meals. They're under 500 calories and the only thing they need to use is an air fryer. That is literally what you would have in your landing page. And it's so important because it will attract the right people for your digital product and it will also repel all the wrong people. You do not want someone that your product isn't meant for buying your product. Trust me, it is not worth the headache. Okay. You need to be really clear also of what's included in your digital product. Super super clear. Like this includes three lessons that are going to help you do this. Okay? Be really clear. And you also need some testimonials. Now, when you first start out, you won't have testimonials. That is fine. Use your own story. So, going back to our example, you could say, "This is exactly how I was able to go from 80 kg to 65 kg and lose 5 in of belly fat while without eating like a rabbit." So, that would be your story. And as soon as then you could help other people, even if somebody dropped 1 kg, you would put that on your page. That builds trust.
Now, the other thing that you need is clear visuals. You need clear buttons for people to buy. And please, please, please don't use a ton of different colors on your landing page. Humans are very visual and color psychology is a real thing. So, use no more than three complimentary colors on that page where people buy. Okay? So, now you have a product, you have a page to sell it, and it's really that simple. You also need to know your audience. Okay? So, when you're building your page and you're building your product, be really clear.
I think I said this already, but like who is this for? Have that in the forefront of your mind all the time. And a hack, you want to give them a name.
Okay? So, my target audience, I named her Lauren. So, when I think about my target audience, I just think about this person called Lauren. That doesn't mean that only Laurens buy from me because I wouldn't be making ยฃ1,000 in a day if just only Laurens were buying from me.
But, I'm very, very specific. The content that I make is for this person that I know I can help. And that is how you should think about your audience too. It's not thousands of thousands of people. It is how can you help one person, okay? Cuz there will be thousands of that one person. You can create content and a product that speaks to them. They will immediately identify with it, resonate with it, and buy.
Okay. Now, let's talk about traffic.
This is the most important thing.
Traffic simply means people finding your product. So going back to that audience first or product first visual. Okay? If you go for product first, you're going to end up with a product, but you're also going to be thinking, right, who is actually going to buy this thing? How are they going to find it? What do I need to do to get people to buy my product? And if you're like me and you're in a 9 to5, you're probably not too fond of having your face on camera, of posting multiple times a day on social media, and it all feels very overwhelming at this point. Now, here's something that you need to know, and I get a lot of this in my comments. You know, I created a digital product, it didn't sell. Why? You need to get and you you need to aim for you're not going to get this right away, but over time you need to aim for 100 people visiting your checkout page. Okay? So your checkout page, your landing page, that's the page that you're selling your digital product on. If you're not getting 100 people to your page every single day, that is the reason you're not making sales. Simply enough people don't know about it. Now, industry average, if you go and Google or chatbt this right now, you're going to see that 1% of people that land on your page will convert. Okay? It's not a huge amount.
That's industry average. Some people are much higher than that. You know, I'm at an average between 3 and 5% depending on my products. Some people are lower than that. 1% of 100 is one sale. So, operate off the strategy that if I get 100 people to my page, I'm going to get at least one sale. If you have a higher conversion rate, be more. If you're at like three or 5% like me, it would be three or five people, okay? Three or five sales. And so now the question that you have to answer is, how on earth am I going to get 100 people to my page every day? And there is a couple of ways to do it. Now, the first way that I don't use, but you should be aware of, is just to post a ton on social media. A ton. That is why you will see people posting all the time because that is how they are getting people to their landing page so they can find and buy their digital product. That is one way. And if you're good at social media and you want to do that and you want to dance your little bum off on TikTok, please go and do that, right? But personally, that's not for me. I did try it. I tried it for 2 years. It didn't work for me. Now the other options for you if you don't want to do social media the other option is a searchbased strategy. So what does this mean? Okay, this means that you create on platforms that are designed for people to find you and your content when they are actively searching for it. So think about social media. You're scrolling through your phone. A lot of the time, even though Meta definitely listens to what we are saying and gives us stuff based on what we are saying, okay, a lot of the time you're not searching for it, okay? You're not searching for that new piece of jewelry.
It just came up and it looked good, right? It just came up in your feed. And so social media, you're always battling in the feed. You're always battling for people's attention. Whereas on platforms like YouTube and on platforms like Pinterest, how did you find this video?
you probably searched something or you probably searched something in the past.
Now YouTube knows you're interested in it and it is giving you this piece of content. Same on Pinterest. You go on to Pinterest for inspiration usually, right? So you'll search something, healthy meal recipes, um how to decorate my new house, you know, whatever you go on to Pinterest for. Those are platforms that the user, the audience is the one that initiates it. So, it's a bit like dating, right? And if you're a girl, you'll know this. If you're constantly chasing someone, they don't want you.
The person that wants you is the person that chases you, the person that seeks you out, the person that messages you, the person that makes an effort with you. And it's the same with YouTube and Pinterest. I love thinking about it like that. It's like dating. It's like very intentional dating. And so, with those platforms, your job is to optimize your content. So use the right keywords so that you show up in search, but also make good content so that when people watch your video or they click on your pin, they want to go and binge more of your content. That content bingeability on YouTube and Pinterest, that is what is going to make you sales. Now you have a third option. Both of the options, social media and searchbased marketing that I've talked about, those are organic, those are free. doesn't cost you anything to post content on those platforms to attract your audience to get them to your digital product page.
Okay, that's the whole point. You attract your audience, you build trust, and eventually you direct them to your digital product page. If you want to skip all of that, and that does take time, no matter which platform you use, if you want to skip all of that and just get straight in front of the right people, then you want to use ads. Okay, this is where you pay whoever if you want to do Facebook and Instagram ads, which is the only type of ads I do.
Actually, no, I do do also Pinterest ads as well. So, those are the two platforms that I've done ads on, but you can also do ads on YouTube. You can also do ads on LinkedIn. You can even do ads on AI to actually be teen out. Okay. Now, ads are not for everyone. I see people out here teaching ads as a beginner strategy. If you don't do ads right, if you don't have the right strategy, if you don't know what kind of content to make for ads that is actually going to get people to buy, it can be a big waste of your money. I wasted a lot of money on ads when I first started out cuz I just didn't know what I was doing. And so, I was paying to get my content in front of people, but my content wasn't good enough. No one was clicking on it, and it was a waste of money. And so this video isn't an ad tutorial, but it's me telling you that if you want to shorten the time span, if you want instant results, okay, instant with the right strategy, I cannot guarantee anything, but if you have the right strategy, you can use ads to speed up the process.
Now, the happy medium that I usually am at is that I have organic searchbased content. So, I make YouTube videos. I make Pinterest pins. My The job of my YouTube videos is to help people, but also attract the right audience to me.
The job of my Pinterest pins is just to get as many people to that landing page as possible. I use both of those strategies to maximize the traffic to my landing page. Okay? And that is how I'm able to get thousands of people to my landing page and make a lot more sales.
Now, you might be listening to this and thinking, "This is a lot. I'm actually not sure where to start." When it comes to promotion and getting traffic and getting people to find and buy your digital product, here's my one piece of advice. Start with one organic platform first. If you want to do social media, choose Instagram or Tik Tok. I see some people using threads as well. I'm not promoting on thread so I cannot tell you about that but potentially that might be an option for you to choose one of them now or you choose one searchbased platform. You either start with YouTube or you start with Pinterest and it really depends on how comfortable you are. If you're comfortable showing up on camera, start with YouTube. It is faster than Pinterest. Okay? If you're not comfortable showing up on camera and you want this to be faceless, start with Pinterest. And I have a whole playlist, a whole course on how to use Pinterest to sell your digital product. Okay, you're going to promote. Amazing. You're going to create your content, but if you don't get people to click on your pins, on your videos, on your social media, if you don't get them to comment the little keyword and get the link to your page, all of it is for nothing, right? I'm doing all of this promotion. Nobody is clicking on my content. And I see this a lot, especially on Pinterest. Okay? If you're posting pins and nobody is clicking, it is because you are not giving them a reason to click. Now, my pins, if you go on to my Pinterest, and I'll leave the link below, a lot of people don't share their Pinterest links, but I do. you will see that there are a number of different ways I encourage people to click on my pins.
Whether it's a free resource, whether I direct them through to a really helpful blog post and from there then have them go through to my digital products or if it's just the way that I am marketing my digital product to show the outcomes to show how it's helping people. And so that is what you need to be doing in your content. You don't need to be saying, "Hey, I have this guy that's going to help you lose belly fat." You actually need to be saying, "Do you want to fit into your bikini this summer? Do you want to finally feel confident on the beach? Do you want to be able to look in the mirror and love what you see when you look back?" Then you're going to want my guide. Okay? Can you see the difference? Hey, I have this product or hey, do you want these results that my products give you? This is what you need. It's about selling the outcomes and not the features. Nobody cares that you have three video, you have three tutorials. Nobody cares that you have eight videos in your miniourse or you have 50 pages in your ebook. Nobody cares. What they care about is the result. What is the result that they can expect? What is the outcome? And obviously you should not promise things that you cannot guarantee, but you can again talk about your story. And you've seen me do it in this video. I've talked about my outcome. Okay, my outcome is that I was able to make ยฃ1,000 in a day.
Then I said, well, I can't guarantee it because it depends on how hard you work.
And now I'm giving you the steps. Now I'm giving you the value. And that is the same type of structure that you should follow if you want people to actually click on your content and convert to a sale. What I don't want you to do is start creating content as a hobby and forget that you are building your business. You are here for two things. It is to help someone with your product and it is to build your business. And if people are not clicking on your content, people are not converting from your content, then it's not a good use of your time. Okay. And so with that, the next thing that you need to know is how to create, whether it be Pinterest, whether it be YouTube, how to create marketing content that is going to sell your digital products.
This is where 99% of you need to focus.
I know that you can create a great product. I have a video below if you need help with that. But your focus needs to be on how do you get people to find it? How do you make people actually desire to buy it? And also, how do you do this marketing without burning yourself out, without posting every day?
And so, if you want to see the exact strategy that I use to market my digital products, so you can copy and paste what works, you're going to want to watch this video next. I'll see you there.
