Redstone circuit design requires understanding timing, signal propagation, and component interactions rather than just building larger contraptions; effective redstone design involves using components like observers, repeaters, and dispensers to create precise timing mechanisms, with the key principle being that circuit complexity depends on signal management and timing rather than physical size.

Can a Redstone Master ACTUALLY Teach me Redstone?
Added:As you may or may not know, I kind of suck at redstone. Like, this is a 5x5 piston door I made, and it takes 40 seconds for it to open and close. And it's just enormous.
It's pretty, though. And so, a redstone [music] master yelled, decided to teach me how to actually do redstone.
Okay. So, can you introduce yourself?
>> I'm a pretty much a pro in all redstone, [music] basically. I mean, I do fly machines, instant doors, computers, [music] a lot of things.
>> And I you you can't say I'm a Redstone, but I'm like I mean, pretty much Hindu compared to this person apparently, I guess.
>> I mean, you're above average, I would say.
>> So, the first thing we decided to do was for both of us to build a 3x3 piston door in our [music] own ways. And also, if you hadn't noticed, this video is extremely long. And so if you watch this entire video, then you get a star as a reward. Wow.
>> I'll like build a wall real quick and then I'll put like my 3x3 on the other side.
>> I guess we're also like racing to finish the the 3x3, I guess.
>> Why am I building this wall so big?
[music] Holy.
>> Yeah, just keep wasting time so I can win this race.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I remember on record I could build one of my [music] garbage 3x3s in like 10 minutes or something. Uh forgetting uh I'm forgetting how to do the thing now. All this like in the bedrock 3x3 which you haven't seen.
[music] Yes, I finally got my stupid one tick post thing working. Wow. Yeah, you can like [music] progress from piston doors to like flying machines or something >> and then in and then eventually I'll become the redstone uh master in like 100 videos.
>> In this Minecraft video, I learned how to make a AK actually no, I learned how to make a working bomber plane. There is someone in your like comments [music] who says, "What do you mean, bro? He is not a redstone master, bro." If you would to compare me to like an actual like YouTuber, got to say like Sammy [music] Yuri. Like if you compare me to him, I'm like you to me [music] is like me Sammy Yuri.
>> Then what then? What am I compared to him then?
>> Like an Adam. [music] >> This is why I need a redstone master because like I really don't think like can just come over to see what like what this like [music] monstrosity I'm doing.
Like I I don't I don't think >> I mean >> at least at least it's um [music] seamless. I can say that.
>> So like how did you get into redstone originally? You know >> I saw like multiple YouTubers like do redstone like do you know Mumbo Jumbo?
>> Yes. That's like the only redstone YouTuber I know. So basically after seeing like a lot of Mumbo Jumbo videos, I got like inspired to like start doing redstone. You should have saw like my [music] first atrocious builds.
>> I mean, I don't think it would be worse than mine, but you know, >> pro probably a close second. Honestly, [music] I feel like you kind of build your doors fast. You build it fast for the size of it.
>> Don't Don't get fooled by the size, okay? It's very It's actually very simple. Whatever viewers are watching, let [music] this be a lesson. Size doesn't matter. That can be taken out of context so [music] badly. It's insane.
Or you're honestly probably going to finish before me cuz of this one circuit that's being bad.
>> Oh, I'm only done with the the opening.
So, >> if I get this one circuit done, then I'll be done with my opening, too.
>> Oh my god. It's one piston away from [music] working. Are you serious? Yes, I'm I'm going to win the the redstone master.
>> Can I go on your side to like see what you [music] have so far? Why did you use copper bulbs?
>> These are my beloved. I use them so much in my 5x5.
>> Oh, yeah. I remember seeing that [music] you had like Well, I'm going to be honest, that looked more like a computer than a 5x5. I'm going to be honest.
>> If I ever make a computer, I think it'll be the size of like it'll be the size of the entire biome. Okay. I mean, I am actively working on a project. It's going to be a calculator, but I'm like nowhere near done it yet.
>> I was thinking of uh working on making a calculator as [music] well with no help.
>> You cannot, bro. You cannot go from a 3x3 door to a calculator. I'm sorry, but like >> don't worry. I know there's like an end gate, there's like an orgate, and there's a nand gate. So, yeah, I'm sure.
>> I might as well build those. I might as well build those. That's a not gate.
>> This is a Yeah, there's a not gate. Gate >> and gate.
>> End gate. One gate.
>> Oh god. What is that? I'm not going to look at that. Okay. I'm not going to look at Oh, no.
>> I don't even want to know what that what gate that is. Okay.
>> You saw a very [music] scary repair. Too too complex.
>> You're using note blocks. Wait, what's Oh my god, I'm scared. Okay, I'm scared.
[laughter] >> What the um bro, I've seen an anomaly for the second world, please.
Okay. Okay. [snorts] Uh, if you saw what I did, then you'll be laughing as well. But, um, I'm confused.
Anyways, that does not solve my problems.
>> Chat, let's [music] see how long it takes for him to notice, >> bro. This is illegal. Stop. Stop.
>> Oh my god, I'm so uh Okay, this just some random bug and I I don't know. Oh, wait. I know how to fix this. Why does some I know how to fix this. It's like in my 4x4. Why is it doing the double thing?
>> Yeah. So, I spent half an hour trying to figure out what caused the double thing, but it it didn't work. I didn't find it.
But I thought, why can't I just, you know, not use that and just use a different redstone line?
>> What about his inner redstone? [music] >> I know what to do.
I don't how >> bro's brain is fried.
>> Oh god. No.
>> [music] >> Okay. Okay.
Interesting. Interesting. I'm so confused.
>> Don't worry. Me, too.
>> I flicked it and literally nothing happened. Wait, what? Nothing happened.
Nothing happened. There's some >> That's a pro redstone right there if I've ever seen one.
>> Is this entire video just going to be us just trying to make this 3x3 business door?
>> Why? I hate quasi connectivity. [music] That would have worked if it didn't have quasi.
>> I have I have no idea how that works. I I keep seeing comments about it. See, all I'll say is is quasi connectivity is like why the redstone is weird on Java?
[music] That's like all I can really say.
Why? [laughter] [snorts] Oh. Oh my Do I have to rebuild this entire 3x3, man? Like this every everything is wrong. I don't know why.
>> That's pretty much what's happening to me right now.
>> Okay, I'm rebuilding it.
Can I get like a redstone grandmaster to tell me why [laughter] this is >> redstone grandmaster bro? Yeah. I I don't know why it's [music] it's reversed. It's inverted or or something. I don't know. It's inverted.
>> I let my one block I let my one block past the door. We did it.
>> Wow. Oh, you know what? I I I give up.
Okay, this is close. Look, if it weren't for that stupid bug, I would have finished. Okay, let's just say I did it.
Okay, 99%.
>> Bro, I don't even know if I'm a master at this point, bro. I might just be on your level at this point, bro.
>> Okay, well, I'm going to come over then.
>> Let me Oh, it's gone. Oh, it's gone. I'm so sad.
>> What is this layout? Why do we have here? [music] >> This is This is my own design.
>> This is my my amazing design. This is how I >> There. That's the common [music] layout right here.
So, >> does it does he understand it?
>> Yeah, it looks like Yeah, it looks like he understands it.
>> Oh, that seems a little bit easier than my thing. But >> yeah. Yeah, >> that's >> Can I show you something that would I feel like help you a lot?
>> Okay.
>> I want you I want you to build a vertical piston extender.
Give me 10 million years to do this. Uh, I need the slab.
Wow.
Okay.
>> I will say I I very rarely see you use register torches. They actually help a lot more than you think.
>> Uh, but it's all one pulse, though. It's not.
>> No one really uses this as [music] their thingy, but it works though.
Oh, wait. Ready? Okay. Did they change it? Why does it not work anymore? I was scared. Here, I'll go I'll go on the other side and I'll build mine. Any [music] viewers that are watching that are still somehow watching? I'm about to blow his mind with this tiny double piston extender. If there's any viewers still watching, kind of doubt it, though. So, have you ever seen this before?
>> I've seen it, but I just don't know how it works. So, get time for the first redstone lesson. So, basically, actually, Crafty Master Man already did a tutorial of this, like how it kind of works. But first, this piston moves right here cuz it's the first piston to get powered. [music] And since there was no piston here, even though this lights up first, there's [music] no piston like here to receive the power. So that would make this piston here extend first, which is pushing this piston into an area of power right here. And since there's power right here, it pushes it.
Then on retraction, since this like this light goes away [music] first cuz it doesn't have any delay, goes back. Then since this one's second, it [music] brings this back. And then again, it's pulling this piston into an area of power since this is [music] for taking.
So that's kind of how it works.
I don't know if you understood anything of what I just said.
>> No, I understand. I just don't I just can't imagine myself designing this [music] thing though.
>> So like basically I want you to apply that here.
>> This is my first exam. Yeah. Yeah.
That's that's the homework. This is the exam.
>> Yeah, >> one lesson.
>> That was the lesson. This is the test.
[music] And then the exam is the 3x3.
>> The exam.
>> Oh. Oh, yeah. This is just a test. Okay.
Okay. Okay.
>> I was about to be so happy for a second.
I thought you were about to do something different. [music] But I mean it this will still work. This will still try it work. Mate, if I actually got the like correct solution the first time, I'm I'm actually going to become the redstone master in like one month later. Okay, >> I'm going to become the grandmaster again. I'm I'm going to be teaching you.
Okay, if I stop. No, this is my No, stop. Okay, I'm doing my my thing. Okay, >> bros didn't I thought bro was like you're the type of per bro just rebuilt the exact same thing that I Oh, wait.
No, guys. He he moved he moved the block from here and down to here.
>> The difference is that I these are my blocks. Okay. The redstone the you know.
Yeah. Oh, wait. Why is this doesn't work?
>> Oh, wait. Cuz I cuz I stopped again.
>> Oh, cuz [music] I What the h? No. Stab.
Okay.
>> That Wait. No. Wait. No. No.
>> Stab. Look. Stab.
>> No. I said it's not it's [music] not that one.
>> Also, you don't you didn't put enough delay on this repeater.
>> Have a test.
>> You need a slab [music] for this one.
>> Wait, what? Oh, no.
I'm just going to add more delay and then that work.
>> I hate quasi connectivity, bro. Why genuinely hate it?
I'm just I'm just going to imagine that's some magical force that's ruining everything.
>> Yeah, pretty here. I'm going to show you closet connectivity real quick. It's what that it's what [music] this is.
This is this is quasi connectivity. This is closet connectivity. The dump thing with closet connectivity. You remember how it does it for this piston?
It doesn't do it for this piston [music] cuz it's facing that way. That's why I used to do bedrock redstone. That's why [music] I used to do it because of Oh, wait. You're We're stupid. You know what you could have done? You remember how you had a redstone line right here? You could have quite literally just moved it up one block.
[music] Now it will work. What? What do you mean, >> bro? We really need a We need a grandmaster, man. We We really need the grandm.
>> Yeah.
What?
Don't. Why are you doing this to me?
Why?
[snorts] >> This is so stupid.
>> Why would you change the delay?
>> Yeah, >> this only took like 10 10 tries.
>> Yeah, 10 minutes. Or you you could have just used this [snorts] still.
But uh go. No. But what was still work?
It was a lever.
Let's check it out.
>> Why does it not work? What? Or it said, "Let's check it out." 5 seconds later, it completely fails.
>> Oh, yes. Not. Okay. No. Okay.
Well, I just had to press it two times.
>> This video is so like scuffed, man.
Yeah, >> at this point, bro, we might we might as well just like the script this whole thing. It's like I just like look up what his vid door you can use. Like I can use to say that I build it. There's already so many commenters about to say he is not a redstone master. I will say I I don't specialize in doors. I'm more of a computer builder. Then he decided to join my redstone world with [music] all my piston doors for a little bit before we jump into the next part with a redstone world he built for me, [music] which was actually super cool. So, thanks to him.
Y Where is my heart? What? Oh, wait. I'm Yeah, I'm creative.
[snorts] >> Oh my god, bro. I have three FPS, bro.
Holy.
This is a modern part of this computer looking thing is this bro >> the 5x5 door >> got eight bits of RAM. What are we using slime? Oh, that's wild. Just the push.
[music] I want to see your 4x4. Are these like Is there 3x3 on here though? Yes, it is.
>> This is my first 3x3 ever.
>> Where's the Oh, yeah. I'll let I'll let you flick the lever so I [music] don't accidentally break it.
>> It's very delicate. Okay.
>> I Yeah, [music] it's like if I slightly tap it, it's going to like crash out and like self-destruct itself.
I I understand your This is like your um first one, but like I love walking up my stairs, [music] bro.
>> Yeah, that Yeah, like Yeah. Some some people comment that commented that that Yeah, you can't. It's not Yeah, it's [music] obstructed. My second 3x3 fixed that. Look, you can walk.
>> Yay. What What could all of these flying machines be?
>> I tried to make a plane, but I failed.
So, uh yeah, >> I made one in bedrock before. I haven't really made one in Oh, wait. I have made one in Java. Can I Can I show you my first ever flying machine that I [music] made that was observerless?
Oh. Oh.
I I love my wall, man. I just like love it.
>> The famous Okay, so this took 4 hours to make.
>> Okay, the closing is pretty fast, but um the opening's not a different story.
>> There's some weird stuff that happen.
[laughter] >> That's good. [music] Wait, that's kind of like a good speed. Wait, I want to see that closing again. Wait, that's good clothing.
>> And there.
>> Boom.
>> Yeah. Fast. That's [music] That's good.
That's good.
>> I don't think you'll be saying that for for my 5x5 though.
It's going to take one minute to open the Where's that? Okay. So, okay. There we go.
There we go.
>> Where is the lever? Wait, what? Oh, right. Oh. Oh, okay. I feel >> um Okay, now opening opening times.
>> Opening. Opening. Opening. Opening. Oh, this is all a part of the thing. And there. Wow, we did it. 5x 5 vision door.
10 hours. If I made a 6x6, how long do you think it's going to make that? Uh, yeah. I think it like I think it multiplies by two. Each piss and go.
>> Okay. So, it was like 1 hour and then 4 hours and then 10 hours.
>> No, I got I got to leave my mark on the floor. I got to build my own 5x5. Now, I'm going be honest. I actually never built a 5x5 before. I never like tried [music] building one before.
>> You got to build it in uh four minutes.
Okay. So, uh yeah, >> I'll try my hardest, man.
>> No, it's three minutes now. Let's go.
Go.
>> You can do that. You can do that. You can you can subdivide it like that.
>> I don't know, man. Oh, wait. No, no.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. No, >> dispensers.
There's some uncharted territories here, man. I I want you to stand up there on the floor and just like stand right here and just tell me if like it just rises out of the ground.
>> Well, there's two blocks.
>> It did not rise on the ground.
>> Two blocks.
>> Closing and then obviously and then >> No, just look at it from this side.
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Don't go to the other side.
>> All right. So, for a little bit of context, this part where Ya built me a redstone map [music] for me was recorded way after the first and second parts because we knew we didn't really do much in those. Today, I will be making you build five retro contraptions. Three easy ones, two hard ones. I would I would want to say two easy ones, one medium one, and two hard ones.
The first one you're going to be making is a combination lock.
>> Okay. So, I already know how to make this actually because I I build it in my um five year creative world, which which is like an entire city and stuff. There was a bank and it uses a combination lock to vote and stuff. And [music] >> I will say I will say try your best to not look over any walls. This wall right there, do not like fly over and look over it.
>> Oh, can we make this like black wall so we can burn it?
>> Oh, >> unless it's like a >> Oh.
>> Uh, nothing happened. Okay. What?
>> Yeah. Nothing happened.
>> Wait, don't look over the Don't look over because you're going to see the combination. I got to change.
Okay.
>> To make me spend five years like trying to put the lovers.
>> Well, it means uh I mean there's only like how many com you you figure out how many combinations there are. Okay.
>> Oh, there's 32. Don't Don't Yeah, don't don't question why I can do that. So, basically each each lever has two like think of each lever like two. And each lever that you have, you times it. But actually, that's not a good explanation.
Never mind. Yeah. I I I love having redstone on my floors, bro. It's like that's like premium right there, >> bro. It's It's not about the the build.
It's not about the design, okay? It's about the redstone.
>> There's some Do you see what you got me doing, bro?
>> Oh, wait. I know what I should have done. I should have made all of them be the combination. So >> yeah, so then I had to like go through like every single possible combination.
>> Wait, wait, wait. Don't No, wait. I There's nothing in the chest.
>> Absolutely nothing.
[snorts] >> Wow. You like my You like my combination lock?
>> It's pretty decent. Only Only thing I would like not The only thing I don't really like about this is that there's this right here, but this is easily [music] removable. You could easily get rid of that. Now that you finished it, come here. Wow. Button. What happens if you press it?
Press it. [music] Wow. What? What the What the heck is that? There's a combinate. I need to get to the They have You have to add a prize at the end because I don't want to get in now. You know, you have to add a prize. Oh my god, it's diamond blocks.
Okay, I need to get to the other side.
I mean, just don't don't look at the timer. Don't look at it.
Um, guys, so how am I supposed to tell him?
So I I'll tell you now. You may have already went over the combination.
>> What?
>> You've already inputed it. You No, look.
You flick the lever so quickly that the door wouldn't have like time the process that you put in the right >> like you flick the lever too quickly. Uh also there there's the sign right here.
>> Oh wait, there's a sign.
Uh, >> no way.
>> Wa. That's Wait, what? What? Huh? What?
>> What?
>> Uh, yes. I can get my rewards now.
>> Yeah.
>> Wait. What? Why didn't it?
Wait. What?
>> Oh, no. Wait. Wait.
>> No. Bro, it was fake.
>> How do you get >> It was fake.
>> You You betrayed me.
>> Oh, wait. Yes. Now, now that you press that button, this gate opens. Wow.
That this wall is like medium level, I would say. Make an elevator. Easy to medium.
>> I mean, there's a lot of like What kind of elevator?
>> Any any could be a flying machine. It could be water. Be like with like the bubble columns. Uh you just use [music] pistons to like move blocks. I don't I don't care. You can do anything. He's going with the water. I mean this I mean I I also know how to I mean this isn't really redstone anymore but [music] yeah >> you go up and you can go down.
What happens if I go in the middle?
Oh man, I get pushed out. Okay. Anyway, uh you ready to push the button? Okay, I'm going to push it.
>> Yay.
Wow.
What is this? What am I looking at?
Down. Up. Don't go down.
Oh, that's a little ominous, bro. Don't go.
>> Like, don't go down while you're here.
Like, if you if you were to go up the floor, then you can't go down.
>> How do I use it?
I'll give a second.
Oh, I didn't know it. Okay, that's that's cool. Actually, you can't go up anymore.
Can I go down?
Okay.
Oh, wait. Oh, wait. The back.
>> I've been expecting you.
>> [snorts] >> Oh, GG's, bro. GG's, >> bro. No.
>> Now you've entered the back rooms.
>> Make an item filter. Easy. They're all easy.
Oh, it's really is an adventure map with the command block and stuff. Okay.
So, okay. This one I I don't think I know. I have to So like how do you qualify as as my thing as a item filter?
>> So [music] like let's say you have diamonds and iron. When you put diamonds in the system, the diamonds go to a certain chest. When you put iron in it, the iron goes to a certain chest.
>> Okay. Well, I have an idea which is um No, but it's not really an idea, but like I mean I think I already know the like the theory or something like like it's just No, I think I have to use like comparators or something.
>> By the way, I will say all of these machines that I've built I built without tutorials. Like some people have already made like my exact [music] designs, but I didn't watch like any tutorials to make it. So that means I just copy someone without knowing pretty much.
>> It's like and it's like one and like it's it's something like this or something.
>> No, it's like in the hopper. If there's iron, it will do something. I don't know what though. But it is a signal power signal of one.
It's still one gray.
It's It's two. H. Maybe it's not. What the heck is H? What the heck is happening?
Okay, whatever.
Yes.
No way. No way. Wait, wait. Observer.
What the heck? Stop disturbing the red.
Will it Can it go in the It can go in the D.
Good. So like >> it doesn't do h >> it doesn't detect [music] I don't think it picked up >> but you you know it does you you know it does detect that you you know it does >> comparator oh comparator wait no but it still doesn't do anything that's not really no I yeah but only the only house when it's any item but not specific amounts of item though. So I think I need help. Okay.
>> So I see that you're trying to use a dispenser. I would not [music] use a dispenser. I would use a hopper.
>> The thing with a hopper and a dispenser.
Something that's really different is is when something goes out of the dispenser like when you power it, it picks a random slot. But the thing with different with hoppers, it will always be this slot that goes out first. So like [music] if item were to go out, it'll go out like this.
So you put some like items in it, you put like iron in. Let's just put in like a random item that you're never going to use. You can make it to where See how this isn't short enough? You can make it. You can like test for it and [music] see how many iron you have to put it until it outputs a level two and then remove one iron.
>> Oh, I was okay. That was pretty close to figuring out. But okay. But I just I just saw that one iron wasn't enough, so I gave up. I did other thing.
>> Now what you can do is is you put a red here. Put a wall right here. You put like a torch right here. And then you can like hook this up.
>> What is the point of that?
>> This is This is This is stuff, but I [music] think it works. So, what this machine does is it detects for when you put in iron.
And actually, let me put a chest right there.
>> Wait, you can you can lock you can lock hoppers.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, I never knew that.
>> Yeah, because look, I just put a few of them like here.
If this one right here is getting powered by redstone and then I put like an item in it, it it doesn't like go here.
This is I'm making it stuffed, but I don't care. I'm just making it to where it works.
Wait, no, that actually never mind. I forgot. I'm supposed to be helping you.
I'm not supposed to fully tell you. I forgot.
I mean, like the only thing you you should have done was just say, "Oh, you can lock hoppers." And [music] >> that's pretty much it, >> man. You should just cut you should cut the video to where I just say [music] you can lock hoppers. You should just cut it to where I say that. But it's they don't have to know that I built the rest of that stuff.
>> Yeah, this is all me, by the way. Yeah, this I built this.
No, it's not going in the It's not going in the hopper. Why is it not Why is it not going in the hopper? Oh, what? Okay.
Yeah, cuz that redstone torch is powering that as well. So, okay, that should work.
Okay, I guess it's filtering the iron first.
What? So, it's it's just D. What? What's wrong with the diamond though? No, it's not going.
Yes, but no, it doesn't go in under. So, well, actually, I think it's like using water or something.
Bro, stop messing with my thing. It was working before.
>> Yeah, I'll I'll put it back.
>> It was working before.
Okay.
>> Yeah, sure.
>> This This is superior. No, but it's going upwards.
This is so much stuff.
Okay. Now, now do the thing from Okay, now do the thing from before.
>> Oh god.
>> No, I'm not. No, I'm I'm not telling you to do it. I'm just I'm talking to the the viewers. Okay. The viewers are definitely watching the video.
What the It does is Why is it not locking? [music] Why are you not >> No, you're locking the bottom on top.
You need to lock the top one. Okay. So, just don't What?
What? Okay. It's still not locking.
>> Why [music] is Jen crashing out?
>> I need to block both of them.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Wait, what do you mean you need to lock both of them?
>> No, it's not going in. Wait, what?
Bro, what the heck is >> Wait, does it still pick up items? Wait, what?
>> What? If I'm locking the top hopper, how is this still going to the bottom one, though?
>> It's not working. Hold on. Let me Let me enter the Let me enter the zone.
Bro, this clicking noise is making me genuinely like go insane, bro.
Okay, no, I don't care. I'm building a rest of contraption that makes it only click when there's items in it. What?
So, as it depends on gravity if it locks.
>> So, if I'm correct, I think the problem is >> is a locked observer doesn't pick up items like this. [music] But the is if you use a hopper into the lock repeater, then yes, it actually goes in. So instead of dropping it on top, you have to get another hopper first to put it in.
>> Oh yeah, this is this is ridiculous, man.
>> This this is why you stick with the redstone doors. This is why you're not This is why you go into the place of item filters.
>> I'm never filtering my items. Okay, >> now it won't do Now it won't do stuff right.
Yes, it's not being silly anymore.
Snake.
>> Bro, why is this genuinely harder than your 5x5 instant? [laughter] >> How? Wait. No. Okay. Wait. What? But what? You're telling me wooden axes have full power?
>> Yeah. Quarter. Wait. No. The reason that wooden axes have so much power is cuz they're not stackable.
>> Okay. So, >> Oh, wait. Wait. What?
What? Where? What? Whoa. Cuz it's I didn't Interesting. Interesting. Now I lo I locked the wrong one or Okay. So like I have to lock this one, right? So it will still go in.
It doesn't go.
So h >> this went to like this went from like teaching you how to do redstone to redstone rage baiting you.
>> Okay. So if I lock I can't it doesn't go in but I need to but it if it is sore but it doesn't hate I hate this f. [music] Okay. I actually really don't know how to make this now. Um I I'll allow you to [music] skip it to how okay this is. You've never went in the world of hoppers yet.
>> I'm going to press the button. Okay.
>> Okay.
Here's mine that I'm taking.
>> Oh, wow. It looks green. Put in put in items. You want to get [music] full turned.
Okay. So, >> I bro I like I got like pe [music] like writing, bro.
Why did I just put in his entire inventory, bro? It It only does It only does iron, gold, and diamonds. And then right here has the stuff.
>> Just have Oh, now gold.
>> Okay.
>> Are we ready to go to the hard ones?
>> Let's Let's go.
>> Whoa. Bro, this is so This map is so cool. Look at these patterns.
>> Wow. It's so redstone.
Here's your first hard one.
>> Make a system that turns binary into real numbers.
>> Do you know what binary is?
>> Yes.
>> Okay. Just in case. Just in case. I had that this [music] over here. Just in case.
>> If he doesn't know binary. Binary is is just it used to it for Yeah. And like Yeah. And >> this is peak reading, bro. This is peak reading. Wait, wait, wait. I'm going to recreate this.
Well, five zero two for ex.
>> This would equal 9. Real one, two, four.
Yes, it does.
Three.
No. Number six.
10.
There. Okay.
>> Okay, guys. He knows binary, guys. Okay.
Good. Good.
>> Yes. I went to school, guys. I know base two. How do you qualify as me turning binary into base 10? [music] >> Basically, you you'll be able to input a binary number and just for example, you can have like a bunch of lamps like this. You have like a [music] sign and this can be like one, two, three. [music] Have it like that.
And if you if you put in the number one in binary, this one lights up. Number two, you put in number two, this one lights up. And for all of them.
>> Okay. Well, um I think this is easier than the hopper one.
>> Yeah, it it it is. I must admit I I kind of expected you to know how hoppers work, though, so that's why I can't I [snorts] can't Okay, whatever.
>> [laughter] >> Okay, there. Don't read the um the eighth and ninth one. I mean seven.
>> Wait. See, seven, eight, 10. [music] >> Guys, let's let's read our numbers, guys. We got one, we got two, we [music] got three, we got four, we got five, we got five again, we got six, we got seven, we got 980, then we got 10. I love my numbers. I mean, is this like the is this just like the combination lock? But >> pretty much Yeah, pretty much. Do bigger >> bigger combination lock. Yeah, it's just 10 combination locks.
>> You got like different doors and you can like when you put it when you flick some levers, it opens up one door. You flick all the levers, it opens up another one.
>> You got to make 10 of these or something.
>> Let's see how long it takes [music] for him to notice, guys. Let's see how long.
I'm bald, bro. I'm bald.
>> This take a million years to do.
>> What? What is this?
[laughter] >> This is my redstone contraption. [music] Interesting.
>> Oh, wait. I think I think I know how you're doing it. I think I get it.
>> Well, I'm just doing the combination lock thing.
>> This is some like peak redstone [music] here, bro.
>> Yeah, >> bro. Buy all these repeaters that you're about to put, bro. They're going to like you're going to input like the number and it's going to take like 30 seconds just to tell you what number it is. You have to put this repeater here. Why could you just have it like this?
Actually, no. I can't I can't [music] interfere with your redstone. Wait.
>> Wait. But that doesn't do anything.
Wait. Um. Okay. There.
>> Put in one else. It doesn't Okay, it worked. Now you just got to do that uh nine more times.
>> Wait, how do I even get get to the second one if if I repeat? I should have observered all this observer there.
>> Are we about to get some like copper bulbs or something?
>> I love my copper [music] bulbs. Uh, bro, there's some reds.
>> Yeah, I I I think I can tell by by looking at your 5x5. I think you just might like them.
They're so good.
>> Copper bulbs and observers, bro. Copper bulbs and observers, [music] bro.
They're they're your favorite.
>> Wait, I can just copy and paste this though.
>> There you go.
>> Yeah, there's some observers here. But let's just not worry about that.
>> It's for the wall, bro. You're interfering with my huge wall.
>> Your your thing isn't big enough, so it's not my fault. [music] Okay.
>> I didn't think it was going to be this big. I didn't think it would. Actually, would you be fine if to make it to where you don't run into the wall? Instead of having this one here, what if you move it up here and so then [music] it's like, are you fine with this if you move this one? That's right here. Up here.
This one to here.
>> Okay.
>> Or no, you >> Oh, no. Wait. Oh, no. No.
>> No. Don't look, guys. Don't look. Don't look. [snorts] >> No. I can just copy and paste this though, right? How am I going to Bro, can I move your wall? I want to do the upper things, man.
Oh, wait. I can just rotate the entire thing then.
>> Oh, wait. That's not the correct.
>> That is not the correct place, sir.
I love slash undo. It's so helpful.
>> There.
There's just a gap.
>> Let's go, guys. By the way, there is a wall on this side. [music] So, you can just go over here. But there's not there's not a wall on this side. You're not go over here. There's not a wallist.
>> We're too lazy [music] to make both walls, >> bro. It's just copy and paste.
[laughter] >> I just maybe have a buttery smooth brain.
>> Okay, so I got to watch this. This is going to be satisfying. I got to watch this.
I don't fully think this is going to work.
>> Why?
>> Cuz so the thing that I hate is horses, you can't one pulse them the observer. But here with these observers, you're one pulsing them.
>> Don't worry, I can con conversion.
>> Yeah, guys, he he can do this, guys.
Believe in him. You got this.
>> What the heck?
>> Oh, >> well, you just have to like It's gonna It's just going to do it for like one frame. So, you have to Yeah, cuz it's an observer. So, now I just got to hook hook it up now.
There.
>> Oh, it should be all of them.
>> It's the same line. I'm so stupid. Wait, guys. The number one is actually all numbers.
>> Yeah. like make like bridges.
>> Bro, if this bro I really can't imagine how big a calculator would be, man.
>> Yeah, if they if they use this circuit.
[music] Oh, I messed up. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Stop building. Stop building. Stop building.
>> What have you done?
>> Oh, you Oh, no.
Yeah. So I think for like an actual like conversion we you you really wouldn't use this.
>> Yeah.
>> Like because like a calculator has like what nine digits or something. So you have like two to the nine >> of of this. So I don't think that's very practical. What the bro stop I'm [music] I'm trying to redstone here. Okay. So I think all the it's connected now. So why?
>> Wait, but these are going to the Oh, wait. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
This line was messed up. Good thing [music] I spotted it. Should probably be hooked up. Let's see if his contraption works.
>> All right. Two.
>> It's going to take five. Why? Why it's not working?
>> Uh, >> it didn't work.
>> Why?
Why >> is Isn't it because of the thing that I said where um >> but it's redstone lamp.
>> Oh, I hate >> Well, I think I know a way of fixing I think I know a very way of fixing. If you get a two thing [music] like this, this should work.
>> Oh, yeah. Of course I know that. Yeah, that's why there's [music] so many repeaters because I couldn't just just have like a four tick. I just had to I need four one tick uh [music] repeaters.
So that's why >> Wait, no, no, no. Don't no stop changing. Stop changing them. It's not [music] It's not these repeaters you need to change. It's a different ones you need to change >> here.
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
>> It doesn't do anything. Why?
>> Well, I'm still I'm still editing it.
H.
Oh. So maybe like two text then.
>> Okay, that should be it. It should work.
Pass it.
>> Oh my god. It's a >> Wait, but what if it's like >> it's what, bro?
>> Guys, >> what the hell, guys?
Yeah, I'm just I'm just going to input eight. This is an eight. Inputting eight.
>> Eight. Hello.
>> Hello. Eight. Eight.
>> Eight is not working, guys.
>> Here. You go. Go flick the lever for eight. Go flick the lever for eight.
>> Oh, I get I get it now because the if it's if it's the last one, it doesn't do anything because it it doesn't reach it.
Look, there's just this massive [music] line here. Oh.
Wait, no. I ate oil. I eat oil.
>> Okay. Okay. Let's see it. What is What's 4 plus two? What's four plus two, guys?
>> Why is this flashing for? I think I know. I think I know what I think I have a new way to fix it. I set time to day real quick. Okay. So, this is a bit chungous, but [music] it should work.
We're bringing out the pistons, baby.
Boom. Okay, now you input your number that you want on here. Then where you want it to go, press the button.
So that should be five.
Why are we not getting [music] five?
Oh, input it again.
>> I don't understand how that can >> It's not even connected though. Like, bro, what?
>> Yeah, it wasn't connected. That's why.
>> What are you going on about?
>> Wait, it got seven. Wait, what? Bro, >> we got five. We got four. [laughter] >> I think it's been broken, guys.
>> What if it What if it's all the numbers then?
>> Oh, [laughter] do you do you just want to see mine that I made?
>> Yeah.
>> Let's go press the button. I'll let you press it.
>> This one's more satisfying. It goes down like a river.
>> Wow. Look, it's so Wow.
Yeah, >> bro. The size difference is crazy, bro.
The size difference is crazy.
>> Oh, this seems quite a bit simpler. But yeah, >> it it has the same. It's like your combination lock. Like you can see right here. If you look right here, this one has a torch.
Yeah, this one has a torch, but the rest of these are um repeaters. [music] >> Yo, what's 2 + 1?
three iPhone. Oh. Okay. What is What if it's bigger than 10 then? So then nothing happens. Okay.
>> Uh it just doesn't show. Now I want you to make me a 3x3 piston door.
>> The famous 3x3 piston door.
>> Yeah.
>> My skills has at least doubled since we last met. Okay.
>> Trust, guys. [music] Trust. Trust the process. I can't wait for you to see my 3x3 once you finish doors. [music] Mine's genuinely tiny.
>> Yeah. My piston doors has gotten quite a lot smaller as well cuz cuz I >> like mine's genuinely [music] like mine mine kind of competes with some of the world records. [music] >> I'm going to use Netherite blocks for >> Yeah, he's he's using he's using the famous layout, guys. And he's using Netherite, too.
This is extremely survival friendly. The the Netherite, by the way.
>> Yeah, guys. Extremely.
>> Now, use emerald blocks for the the side pistons. [music] >> This will be my first time watching you actually like construct this thing. I can see like your [music] thought process.
>> Well, this is actually Yeah. Wow. This is >> Bro, it's it's so symmetrical, bro.
Like, it's [music] the exact same on both sides. It's so perfect. It doesn't.
Uh, we don't even need the observer, [music] do we?
>> Oh, no.
>> No. Wait. What the What the heck? No.
>> It's quasy, bro. Quasi connectivity, >> bro. I hate I hate you. All right. What about observer then?
>> And then what you [music] doing is put redstone blocks here and here and have some lines here.
>> Stop doing it. Yeah, I don't mess with my thing. Okay.
>> Oh, go.
>> Anyways, I use subservers because one tick my clothing has gotten extremely small or compared to my other one. Um, the ones you've seen at least. Yeah, I was I What the heck? I was really surprised when like I found how small the closing like actually can be. So, >> have you is this your first time using this layout or have you used >> I've used it in >> I remember >> future video.
Okay, now we have to do the Yeah, the stuff now.
Okay, so iron blocks for the closing.
This has gotten considerably smaller.
Yeah, [music] >> because we just need do we just need that that I'm pretty sure this and we're done, right?
Yeah, we're done. Okay, >> actually, wait. Yeah, actually, no.
Wait, what am I doing? You're You're supposed to be the one to do this. So, yeah, let's look at closing. Okay, open.
It's >> Yeah, now I >> Yeah, now the open uh open. No clo opening. Yes, opening.
So these >> also something else I want you to remember. Remember the tiny double piston extender. Actually, do you want me to rebuild it so you can like remember it?
>> No, I know the timing. I think >> what I'm sometimes doing is is I'll like build just like a little bit like I'll build like some over here just like [music] a test model. So, like what I mean by that is is if I usually want to add something to my 3x3 door, I'll first like test it to see if it actually like fully works [music] with like prototype.
So then like if I were to have added that [music] then like it would have broke. Like if I were to have added it first without testing it, then it could have broke.
That makes sense at all.
>> What? Okay, whatever.
>> Okay. Yeah. Never mind.
>> I have no idea what you're talking about.
>> This is the big money, guys. Does he remember the tiny one?
>> Oh, I'm not doing anything. I'm doing my own thing. I'm not memorizing anything.
Okay. Uh, so >> holy observer chamber.
>> No. What the heck? ball.
>> Copper balls, man. Copper balls. What the >> copper bulbs did not fix that. Now, the problem isn't the observer. It's See, you had it like this. Look, the observer is powering [music] this, which is powering this rest of mine, which is making that loop.
>> What the heck?
>> I didn't touch anything. I didn't touch anything.
>> Look.
>> Oh, wait.
>> You don't have a Yeah. Yeah. You need to rip some dust. But wait, but look.
Actually, never mind. Never mind. Yeah, it should work. Like the first part of it should work, >> man. I I could have fixed it, but like I didn't.
>> Die.
>> WWE.
I will say I feel like we definitely have very different thought processes on like when making 3x3s.
>> Well, it's mostly because I just don't know what I can do. [music] >> I mean, yeah, that's so close. Just need to make this one which I actually see how I can do it, but like you said, I don't I [music] can't help you.
Is it too Is it still?
>> No, it's cuz it's not reaching it. It's cuz it Wait, do it again. Do it again real quick.
>> Yeah, cuz it's not reaching it. You just need one right here. It wasn't like reaching the uh signal right now.
>> All right.
>> Yes. Final.
>> You just need one more. Just one more pulse. Observers.
1 million observers.
>> SP copper BS, man. All right. Copper BS.
>> What the heck?
>> Oh.
>> Oh, it's that again. I hate that.
>> Yeah.
>> Who invent Who invented that? Well, just do it from the other side then.
>> One trillion obser one trillion observers there. What the No. And but that's how I hate this.
Yeah. Now, oh wait, no way. No. Uh, wait.
What's >> What is bro saying? I don't I see how you could fix it. It's so simple.
[music] >> I mean, guess repeater this and then like we can add one repeater.
>> He's doing it, guys. He's doing it.
>> Yeah.
>> What the heck? Actually, wait. Try it again. Try it again.
I'll see if that s for it. I don't think you needed a repeater right there. I'm correct.
>> What the heck?
>> It's a copper. Oh. Oh, I see why. Let me let me quick to look at this.
I I know exactly what's wrong. I know exactly.
So, look at this observer.
See how it's an observer into this into this. When I only update this observer once, this is going to pulse twice.
Look. Go up here. So you can see is cuz a repeater adds so much like length to it that it detects it turning on and it detects it turning off. And there's actually a way you could fix that, but I'm not going to tell you since Yeah.
>> Okay. Well, that's H. Yes. Well, just don't use the repeater then.
>> Yeah. Just one trill one trillion observers.
>> One trillion observers.
>> If I'm correct, should work. This just >> one trillion observers.
Uh, >> it doesn't have enough LA.
>> More observers.
>> There's more observers.
>> There we go.
That's the 3x3 >> 3x3 vist door >> with no observer change. No observer spam at all. Guys, [music] you ready to see mine?
>> Okay, >> I'll let you press the button.
>> By the way, this is like my best 3x3 I've ever designed.
Bro, it's the 3x3 piston door from the thumbnail.
It's a pro.
>> Wait, what? [music] >> Oh, no.
>> Minor difficulties, guys.
>> Open.
>> That is pretty fast because the one wide.
>> I I want to see if you understand this work. I want you to like look at the redstone and stuff and like see if [music] you understand anything.
Freeze. So, now that the ticks are flick this lever and don't do anything, I want you to tell me what the first thing's going to happen and I'm going to step some ticks [music] forward and let and we can see if you're correct.
>> This one should activate.
>> Correct.
>> It did. Wow.
>> So, first first spits it out. What happens next?
>> Next, this will activate then.
>> Yep. By these two observers. [music] While that's happening, the entire hour is um >> rails.
>> Yeah, man. We're using rails.
>> Is that necessary?
>> Uh yes, it is. If you replace those rails [music] with redstone dust, it wouldn't work. Actually, I can show you.
Hold on. Let me now. You want to test it with it [music] with it being rich on dust?
>> H didn't close.
>> It doesn't It didn't work. But if it's rail, then it works for some reason.
>> You want to know why it if because let's say I have this redstone dust [music] right here. The thing that happens with redstone dust is is it would activate this block right [music] here since it's redstone dust. And it would fire these pistons again. Actually, wait. Hold on.
So with rails, you can see that it like all pistons fire normally. And we got like the edge of the 3x3. Like pretend this has the door right here. And we already have this part filled in. So that's closed opening. This does that. If you were to have this add [music] redstone dust, what happens was is first when you like the way that this is supposed to close, the way that these three pistons right here activate um right here is with this redstone dust right here.
these this redstone dust activates these pistons. But the reason why you need this to have rails up here is this observer detects that this activates which activates these pistons right here a second time which would like retract the box. So if you have it as rails, it doesn't power the pistons cuz it's a rail, not a ridge of dumps.
>> Does that make any sense at all?
Actually, what I'm going to do is is I'm going to like I'm going to show you a few ways you could improve your door to like try and see like try and get you to think differently. Remember how you had this over here? This like [music] >> you don't really need this.
>> I don't need this.
>> And I'm just going to temporarily move this out the [music] way cuz it's kind of in my way.
Instead of having that long chain, what you could do [music] here is put a thingy here.
>> A thingy >> powers [music] this piston and then you can use an observer and then the observer powers [music] it again.
So, wait. I just want to see what it does so far.
>> What?
>> You broke my thing. No, but like why would that not even the correct steps though?
>> That's so much later than But it's so much later than it's supposed to be though.
>> Wait, open it real quick. I want to like look at it.
>> Why does it not? Uh, wait. Why does that not work? Uh, wait. Does this mess it up? Wait, no, that doesn't look like confused right now why that [music] didn't work.
me. Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh I see the problem. I need to move this repeater up one. So basically if this repeater activates this piston and you have an observer here that this piston like top piston to take this up and move it down.
So testing this is closing opening.
Yay. So I got rid of that huge [music] launch just by putting this. This is I really love this double piston. I really love this cuz it works great every single time.
>> So you just got to put that in the piston door.
Do you want to go into like my world to see my like better 3x3s so you can like rate them?
>> Yeah, sure.
>> Yo, this is good. Wait, I want to see this 3x3 attack four.
>> Yeah, just ignore the the thing here. I don't know what caused that.
>> Oh, that thing's so fast, dude. That's like [music] mice. The first real challenge I I feel like you should try and make a like [music] three wide one that's only 30 blocks across unless you already made one like that.
>> This is the three wide [music] three wide but >> yo these are like good.
>> I kind of accidentally did it.
Something I don't understand is [music] I actually showed this world to another one of my friends and we kind of both agreed on the same thing. We don't understand like how [music] you can make something like this. Like I don't know how to explain it, but like I don't know how your brain could like think to make this. [laughter] >> Well, like >> wait, did you not watch the video?
partially watched it.
>> Watch the video >> because uh of the I like stack it and stuff so I didn't have to do it a million [music] times.
>> So that's why it's you know this. You're gathering some inspiration for this.
>> Bro, you would genuinely like ban me off of the face of Minecraft if I broke this. Bro, >> it takes a long time to like fully open.
So Bro.
>> Yes, >> bro. It's going. Bro, it's it's so fast.
>> Going now. I'm going to make orbital break cannon.
>> What kind of a reaction is this, man?
>> You >> Oh my god.
Oh, wait. I'm in surv. Oh, wait. No, wait. Bro, where am I? Can you like show me how Can you show me what? like a a zero tech contraption like is >> Oh, wait. Yeah, I still [music] um it's like take like 5 years to try and make a one tick generator cuz I don't I forget how to make them.
>> Bro, it just looks like you're doing random stuff, man.
>> I'm not. [music] Don't worry. Okay, there it is. Right here. This piston right here is a zero kit piston.
Look at it. Look at the block. It just like teleports outwards.
>> Okay, that is >> teleportation.
>> Yeah, that's your tech. And then also back fight.
>> I'm just still thinking like other redstone questions I still have.
>> Oh yeah, what does target blocks do?
What does target blocks do exactly? This is actually tile blocks will really help you with it. Have you ever had a redstone line and been like, have you ever had like redstone [music] like right here for example and been like I want to power that piston?
You can put a target block right here.
>> The target block just connects the things. It just sticks.
>> Yeah. Yeah. It connects with redstone.
It's basically like it's like a block, but it connects the rest.
>> Interesting. Okay, now you have to tell me what what the middle thing does.
>> So, there's two modes. There's the subtract mode and there's the normal mode. Right now, it's the normal mode.
The subtract mode is when you have this thing. The subtract mode is Yeah. When this is [music] powered, right? So, what the normal mode does is whatever power you put into it, it outputs. So you can see this, you're importing 14 [music] right here. So it outputs 14. Whatever you put into it, it output. You can just expand this across like this and then you get 14 cuz you input 14 and it goes through here. It does have a bit of delay. Now we do the subtract mode. What subtract mode does, not surprisingly, it subtracts.
>> Yeah, it's the same thing though. Well, you'll see the difference. Subtract mode. What subtract mode does, if you power it from this merge value, if you [music] power it from the side, it will take this power level, so 15 minus this power level, which is 14, and output it.
You have a level one.
>> It only works on the right side. Or >> no, since the numbers are the exact same, that's [music] why. And this one, this one's lower than this one. So this one's superior because it's higher.
>> And if the numbers are the exact same, so 15 minus 15, you get zero.
Or it could be it could be could be 14 minus 15, you still get zero. That's how that works. There's two systems that are very helpful. A if you click the repeater and make it in subtract mode, you can place three original dust and then you can just put a repeater with a lever right [music] here and flick the lever. Flick the lever. Why' you freeze the game?
>> I need to look what happens.
Uh, >> it powers.
>> 15 minus 13 = 2 and then it's one zero.
I don't get why it repeats though if it's Oh, wait. Cuz it's a repeater. Oh, so it's like switching between [music] this one and then the like the actual one.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, so that's how it delays or something.
>> Here's the other circuit that's really really helpful. So, have you ever had observer [music] and like the pulse isn't long enough? Like you wanted to make the pulse to last longer cuz you see how fast that is. So you you're trying on add a repeater to make the pulse like you're trying to make the pulse longer, but it it's still not long enough. You want it to be longer.
>> So that's where these bad boys come in.
>> Okay. So I'm going to turn off the lever and look how turn off the lever. Look how long the pulse stays for. Okay.
So I'll do it again. Look how long it stays for.
The nice thing is is look, you can Oh, wait. You can add more paragraphs to make it last longer. Now look how long this pulse [music] is.
And you can just just keep adding.
[music] This is where we get into unseen territory. Territory that you ate.
[music] We're using copper and comparators, like the two hardest things. So now I get Yeah. Okay. I'm shortening the clock, bro. He's taking too long.
Okay.
Well, the pulse it didn't even work.
>> Well, actually, you can use like daylight sensors if you want a really long clock.
>> I mean, yeah, but that that's too slow.
That's too slow.
Like, look at look at how much there's only there's five items in both. Look how much it slows down.
And then you can like repeat it until like >> Yeah, you can keep repeating it and making it >> the last one's going to activate at the heat death of the universe. Oh, you're doing another one, bro. This is going to take It's actually going to take until the heat death of the universe. Oh my god. Why are we just looking at these freaking Okay. Okay. My next question is >> is um why do you use like like dispensers and stuff? Okay. Why do you use like dispensers and droppers in your like piston door and stuff?
>> Um, >> okay. The same. Okay, bet. So, yeah, then my thing's correct. Basically, droppers and dispensers have zero tick of delay. They have no delay at all.
Like, if you want to extend a pulse like >> it's better it's better than copper bulbs.
>> Oh, yes.
>> This is some re revolutionary difference. The only thing that now has delay is the observers. They're the only thing with delay. Or actually, I I'm not fully Oh, wait. Put pistons. [music] >> Oh, it's the same.
>> Never mind. I guess they're the same.
And I guess copper balls have like no, >> you know, if I discover like dispensers instead of copper bulbs, then the 5x5 would be like probably filled with dispensers instead.
>> Yeah. It would be less iconic even if it's not iconic at all. Oh, and also and it's also because I just didn't know this [music] works.
>> They were >> I just didn't know this works.
>> Like if I knew this >> these are actually faster.
>> Actually, another thing you can use instead of um droppers and stuff. No, I feel like the lamps are the slowest.
>> What the hell?
>> They also do that.
>> Yeah, that's really weird. Another one you can use is note blocks.
>> Oh my god, I can I can like play a song in my like piston door then.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, there we go.
[music] >> Oh, bro, an ice bro. It's coming. It's [laughter] >> It's coming towards you.
>> It's consumed, bro. It's I'm Oh my >> We're detecting Where are we?
>> Oh my god. Are we in a boat?
>> Yeah, we're in a boat.
>> Oh, we're out. Okay, we just have to go a little slower.
>> Look at the decline. Look at the difference, bro. We went from up there to down. Bro, this is about to make like a W video, bro. We go from making redstone contraptions to us just riding on ice. I'm just going to >> Oh my god, >> I made a mob farm.
I made us a mob farm. Oh.
>> Oh, no. No, >> bro.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> I'm running for my life.
For what? What? This is just the ominous gave 100 mine cart with TNT to out.
>> We don't talk about it.
>> So, what what >> what's the first thing that I do when I get here? Make a 3x3 piston door.
>> Can I do like a Can I make a like one wide 3x3 but with like a redstone master watching or something?
>> Yeah. And like I like I criticize you every time you like do something that I think is bad like Gordon Ramsay or something. You donut. Why would you put the observer there?
>> I would build it right here. This is going to be my What? What? This is the one wide 3x3 piston door.
>> Yeah, that's the layout that I use.
>> Where do you put the lever? Like I'm scared, man.
Yeah, that's that's like the hardest part making a 3x3. It's where do I put the lever?
>> There. I put it there.
>> Nah, man. Bro, you got to put the lever right here, man.
>> I'm I'm I'm going to put I'm going to put it right underneath it. Okay, that's where my levers.
>> Oh god.
>> Honestly, you should try and make a one wide 3x3. Like, it doesn't matter how like big you make it. You should try and get one wide.
>> So, we have we need to do the little thing.
Yeah. And then more observers.
But it's here. One one trillion observers.
Yeah. I need >> I think this is time.
There's a few new things that you need to learn. Usually what I [music] do is is if I need a one tick post, I only put the one tick post where I need it. So like sometimes I don't need it.
>> You don't need it. And what about the opening closing line? Do they not exist?
Are they the same line?
>> The first thing I would have done is is like what I would have done different instead of making a tower with reserve [music] stuff like that. What I would have done is I would have made a torch tower. It looks like this.
>> I don't know. [music] I'm just used to making those. And also instead of just doing one pulse, it like just doesn't like >> it just doesn't.
>> [ __ ] >> There.
It didn't do anything.
>> It didn't. Wait, no. There.
>> Yeah, >> it did. Yeah. Okay.
>> I flipped the lever. Wait. Okay. It closes. I think it open. I shall what should I do first?
>> I think you should just instead of making this like how you usually do I don't think you should make this a piston. I think you should just make it for whenever you flick the lever it like instead of just doing it when closing. I think you should make it do it when it closes and opens cuz now the door is pretty much open and it already retracted this one block. So it actually kind of helps you. All you would have to do is is retract this piston and do a double piston extender. That's all you have to do.
>> Okay, this is annoying me. I'm I'm adding these blocks, bro. It's been annoying me. [music] >> Yeah, but the thing is, how am I going to power this piston if there's this thing in the way now?
>> Very good question. [music] Um, >> yeah, that's that's what I encountered when I was doing like 5x5. So, that's why it's just so big. [music] >> You know what you could do? Well, actually, uh, like maybe like have a thing here [music] as like this. Like this thing here.
>> What I was thinking is that [music] you put something like this here.
>> It's doesn't have enough delay.
Actually, I have a better idea. I have a better idea. Give it more delay cuz I'll give it less delay.
Uh, do this then 1 million observers.
>> There's never enough.
Funny part is is that actually might work.
>> Exactly. That's Oh, it didn't work. It's too fast. It's still too fast.
>> Oh, no. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.
No. No. No. It wasn't too fast. [music] It's that this piston didn't even fire.
I had to add it all back.
>> Don't worry. I have a lot of experience from this in my 555 piston door. What the heck?
>> Oh, >> like that.
>> Oh, we found out that's not how you do it.
>> I have a better idea.
>> I don't I don't like this. chat. We [music] can come back. Okay, this this is this part isn't working. Okay, so we're back to this.
>> I'm doing this again.
>> Oh, wait, wait, wait. Actually worked, >> bro. Yeah, the simpler the better.
>> Wait, wait, wait. Ready, ready? Look this. It's it the the door is done. The door is done. It's done.
There's like no discussion about it.
It's just the OF.
We use this one. Now we do your signature move.
Wait. No. No. No. Wait. Do not do not me yet. Do not test me yet. Almost forgot to add this piston that it would have broke if I didn't have it.
>> It's the one tick pulse generator. Now open it. Let's see [music] if it works.
Oh, >> what the heck?
>> Oh no, no, you can't have it like this. You have to have it. I see how to fix it.
Why is it looping down there?
>> What?
>> Wait, >> I hate quy connectivity, bro. Is it doing with copper bulbs? If it doesn't work, if it if it fixes it with copper bulbs, then that's why copper bulbs are good. Yeah. This is why go >> supremacy anyway. Yeah.
>> And wait a furnace in the glass.
Actually, no. Let's do a slab. Never mind. We're doing glass and then opening. Let's build one.
>> Yeah.
>> We built you build it together.
Yeah.
What? Why did it not work?
>> What the heck? What? What? No. If I st What? Why is there glass here? What was the point of that?
>> Oh, the glass is Oh, wait. Have you ever used glass before?
>> What is the point of that, though?
>> Um, actually, it's better if I just show you. I know it passes through redstone, but but like >> Well, that's not it. Okay, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me make this redstone direct.
See, look. It doesn't power the um with the normal block it would, but [music] with galax.
>> Interesting.
You know what? I'm going to leave it like that.
>> Wait, never mind. Okay. Okay. The door's done.
>> Yeah. Like why were you Why did you have to do it twice, though?
>> I I I forgot I forgot that you had this circuit down here. The one [music] with the piston and that.
That's your first one wide 3x3.
>> This is our collaboration 3x3 one wide.
>> And the nice thing is is there's actually there's a lot of air in it. So you have like this little [music] Oh, wait. Got this little pocket. Got this pocket. Got this pocket. Got this pocket.
You penetrated my piston door. Nice.
[laughter] >> We need to fight. I need to I What the >> It kills me. What?
>> Bro, my game crashed. What did you even do?
>> Bro, I just did one of the emotes.
>> Bro, you emoted too hard. My entire game crashed. Oh, wait. I a piston door strategy.
Let's go.
>> Look. What?
>> Five.
But this really is a like adventure map, man.
[snorts] What?
No.
So, yeah, I learned quite a lot of things in this, I guess, experience, don't you think? Right.
>> I would say so. Yeah, you've definitely improved.
>> Yeah, >> using more components like the hopper.
Another one was the dispensers [music] and a few other ones you did too, like the comparator >> and also learning to reuse the closing and free and other Mario stuff that really rounds out my [music] wrist so much. Uh, like how do you feel about this entire like collaboration thing?
>> I'll give it like a seven [music] to a eight.
>> That's pretty good, right?
>> I just think so. Yeah. Well, do you have any final words?
>> If I ever see a single comment [music] saying that redstone is complicated again, I will find you.
>> That that is definitely definitely uh interesting. Final words, but um this has been very fun.
>> We're also back in the original 3x3 like studio thing. Anyways, like and subscribe if you want and goodbye.
>> Goodbye.
Wow, it looks like you watched this entire video. So, thanks really like a lot. This helps me very much. Oh, and also here's your star as I promised at the beginning of the video. You can download the schematics in the description and password is redstone master all case no spaces. Now, actually, goodbye.
