Consumerism functions as a deliberate control mechanism that keeps people distracted, unthinking, and perpetually unsatisfied by creating an endless cycle of desire and consumption, where individuals work to earn money only to spend it on trends and products that never truly satisfy, ultimately preventing them from questioning the system or pursuing meaningful creation; the solution lies in intentional minimalism, consuming real art that stimulates thought, and actively creating rather than passively consuming.

consumerism is the devilAdded:
Consumerism is the devil. It's evil incarnate. It is the definition of corruption in the modern day, especially in the US and western society. And most people, especially in the US and Western society, are completely blind to it.
They are blind to it mainly because they are so in it, so trapped by it that you can't even see that it's a problem. In the Bible, it says that corruption or that that evil will try to convince you that it's not real, that it doesn't exist. And you don't have to be a Christian to know that this is true.
We've seen with what's come to light recently about the files and everything about the elites of this world that evil very much does exist. That even if they tried to hide, they try to hide it from you and they try to say, "Oh, no, everything's for you. It's all sunshine and rainbows. Everything's good." That that is completely and utterly false.
What's crazy is two years ago, you could have been talking about all this stuff and it would have been 100% true, but no one would have believed you. Everyone would have said, "You're crazy. What What are you talking about? There's these elites that run this world that are doing all this crazy stuff, like evil things, going to this island."
Like, no. None of no one would believe you.
But it turns out that it's true. And I believe the culmination of the perfection of of what these elites have have created to keep people in control is consumerism.
It's the constant state of always being wellfed enough to still then want more, right? [snorts] Just constantly eating and consuming slop so that you can never think and you never create. And when you never think and you never create that allows for corruption to thrive. I mean really what do you think is the main way that that we are able to stimulate like conversation and questions in our mind?
It's by creating and consuming real art.
And less and less nowadays you see real art. I mean you get everything like it's constantly ads just pushing pushing your face everywhere. Even if you're just going, you know, onto whatever a streaming site now that you have to get like the ultra premium plus package if you don't want to get 20 million ads when you're watching like Family Guy.
It's insane.
You I don't I don't even know. Yesterday it was like it was Tuby. I think it was it was Yeah, it was Tuby. That was the platform my friends and I were watching a movie on. We got four there. They're like maxing out the mid rolls. Like it's a they're a greedy YouTube channel. It's It was maybe like five different ad breaks that some of them had seven ads.
Like they were putting max mid rolls in there. It's It's absolutely disgusting.
The It's so blatant how much they're pushing it in your face. Bye, bye bye.
Consume consume consume. And people just give into it.
You can see it. Everyone almost everyone's giving into it. Everyone's so obsessed with what's trendy. What What What's everyone doing right now? What are the What are the different trends?
What do I so that I I can I can see I can watch it. I have to watch this dance. I have to watch this thing that's going on. I have to know the memes nowadays. I have to uh buy whatever clothes are super popular and I don't even know what it is right now. I don't know if it's like laboo or whatever. But the trend always switches every couple of months. And this is how they just keep you hooked. Next thing, next thing.
Next thing. What can I What's the next thing I can buy? I swear all this stuff is like industry plants. Like what the hell? Who is buying a Leubu, bro? Like who is genuinely looking that and be like, "Yes, that's that's just what I want. That's my That's what I want for Christmas. I want the special limited edition $300 golden laboo. Like that that might be the most stupid thing ever. But people genuinely get into that. They they love it. But what this does is it completely distracts you from not only everything that is important, but the evil that exists and and it lets it run wild and free.
I don't know, you've probably heard I don't know if you have, but you've probably heard of the term bread and circuses. It's kind of thrown around a lot more nowadays because it is very it does very much apply to now uh the our times even though it was basically coined by a Roman poet and and in his context he was using it basically literally like the the Roman government would give out free bread, free grain so that people were wellfed and they would put on gladiator matches, chariot races so that people would have entertainment and it's the same exact thing nowadays but people are just like just like the Romans are just consuming consuming consuming so lost in it that you never stop to question it right it's you're scrolling watching YouTube videos like it's so blatantly obvious when you just think about it for a second the you know adult content the hub junk food fast food it's exactly the same and we are falling victim victim to it in the same way the Roman people did you do not want to go down this route of rampid consumerism like everyone else is. It is slavery. You work your 9-to-five job and you slave away and you are told that this is good for you, right? This is what's satisfying. This is how you get your enjoyment out of life. That every single paycheck, that little bit of extra money you got that's not going to expenses, you can now spend that on Pokemon cards. You can spend that on on getting a nice little trinket for yourself. You can spend it on a subscription for for Netflix and everyone and Hulu and Paramount and get it all because that's the only enjoyment you're going to get out of life. But that's the exact thing that keeps you in that cycle in that loop. It never satisfies.
Ever fed, never satisfied.
And so every single time you have to go back and and work and live off, get your paycheck, right? like actually slave away for it so that you can go spend it still being a slave to all of the I don't I don't know exactly what's popular right now but all of the things that people are consuming the trends that people are into nowadays and that's the infinite cycle that so many people are in it never ever satisfies you know if it did these people would up. They would stop buying these things.
They would stop giving in and promoting these companies. But yet, these companies get bigger and bigger. They make more and more money by the day.
They get more and more popular.
It's never enough.
It's with content and social media. You can tell when you're scrolling. There's never a a good time to stop scrolling.
You just keep going and going and going.
There is no limit to how much you can consume. And when it everything becomes basically engineered to hack your biology, for you to get addicted to spending, to buying, to scrolling, to consuming. When that happens, you are going to become a slave to it if you give in, if you let it in your life. The only answer really is to take a step back from everything that other people are into. Whatever the crowd is going to and buying and getting hyped over, eliminate that from your life. Never ever go near that, right?
What what whatever like nude trend, new item is popping up, whatever new product is there, don't care about it. like just just don't even give any of your time, energy, attention, money to this thing because it is just a way to keep you distracted from what is actually important. It's the way these companies are milking your money and life out of you, your energy, and everyone's sitting here so happy. Oh, I'm ready for the new crumble cookie. What is the new crumble cookie line up this week? Dude, you're an absolute Oh, you're that's just you're fodder. Like, I I don't know what to tell I don't know what to tell you.
If you are getting excited and hyped over that stuff, something's got to change. Something has got to change.
And again, it goes with what you're buying, but also what content you are also consuming. Content may be even the worst the worst of it all because you're literally scrolling your life away and you're getting your mind, you're seeing all these ads, you're constantly primed to want to buy by more. It's the infinite loop as well. The more content leads to you buying more. You buying more leads to more content. It's just a never- ending loop. And you got to exit yourself. You got to take yourself out of this group, out of this crowd, this situation, and live completely differently. Really, minimalism is the answer. I'm not telling you never get anything you want, never consume.
But actually be intentional about what you're watching, about what social media platforms you go on, or even if you go on any, right? what TV you're watching, what movies you're watching, consume real art because that's what makes you think. And when you lose real art and also, I'm going to be honest, you have to create as well. Try to create your own real art. When you're never expressing when you're constantly consuming, right? It's like eating when you eat a bunch of food and you never exercise and expend that energy, you're going to get fat. You have to expend that energy. You have to use it in a positive way so that it becomes fuel for something that is good for you. Not something that sits in your stomach so that you can it can add to your fat deposits. Right? That's that's not the point of it. The point of your consumption is that so you can get inspired to create.
But barely anyone is creating nowadays.
And I'm not I'm not saying you have to do what I do, make content, you can create anything.
There is a lack of good art in this world.
And so consume less, consume more intentionally, and start creating.
That's really the answer to the situation. Because if you don't do that, you're going to fall along with everything else. You're going to be sucked into these addictions and you're never going to leave. Your entire life, you're going to be thinking about, "Oh, what's the next what's the next trend? What's happening right now?
Oh, what's the next $1,000 bag I can buy?" It's like, bro, this isn't life.
That's not living. you are being drained of your life energy and you don't want that to happen. So take a step back from all the social media, all the things like if you're all you see on your feeds is slot brain rot, just get off. Just just delete just delete the apps.
I'm serious. There's no point in in you even having that app on your phone, Instagram, Tik Tok, and scrolling your brain away.
All this stuff is just rot. And if you can become intentional about it and consume real good art, great. If you can't, cut it all out and start creating. Start making things that are actually meaningful to you and expressing everything that you've taken in. If you never express and you only consume, that is going to make you mentally fat. You are going to become so slow in the brain and lethargic and you won't be able to think or question anything. Creation is what is going to get you and other people to think. And that creates its own good cycle. The more good art that you create, the more good art gets created.
The more people get inspired. And so you need to start entering these good cycles, not these negative ones that are going to keep you there forever, slave to buying and clicking and views and consumerism. No, you need to rise up and and reach something higher, for something greater.
And that's what I think everybody should be doing, striving for something greater, greater art, greater consumption, less consumption.
And if you don't do that, yeah, you'll be a slave to it for the rest of your life. [snorts] Thank you for watching this video, and as always, never stop improving.
