Despite Canada's vast natural resources, including oil, lumber, and energy, and its status as one of the largest Western countries by land mass, Canadian citizens face significant economic challenges including unaffordable housing, groceries, and limited future opportunities. This paradox suggests that a nation's resource wealth does not automatically translate into citizen prosperity, and effective leadership is crucial for ensuring that national resources benefit the population rather than being mismanaged or misallocated.

Canada Has Everything… So Why Are Canadians Falling Behind?Added:
And to be honest with you, Canada only works as a state. It doesn't We don't need anything they have.
As a state, it would be one of the great states anywhere. This would be the most incredible country visually. In the case of Canada, we're spending 200 billion a year to subsidize Canada. I love Canada.
I love the people of Canada. I love I have many friends in Canada.
The great one Wayne Gretzky, the great Hey, how good is Wayne Gretzky? He's the great one. You know, the United States can't subsidize a country for 200 billion dollars a year. We don't need their cars. We don't need their energy.
We don't need their lumber.
We don't need anything that they uh that they give. We do it because we want to be helpful, but it comes a point when you just can't do that. You have to run your own country.
Makes no sense. It's so perfect as a great and cherished state.
Keeping O Canada, the national anthem. I have I love it. I think it's great. Keep it.
But it'll be first state, one of our greatest states. Maybe our greatest state. But uh why should we subsidize another country for 200 billion? Of course, it's 200 billion dollars a year. And again, we don't need their lumber.
We don't need their energy. We have more than they do. We don't need anything. We don't need their cars. I'd much rather make the cars here. Trump is so right on this because look what Canada has become. We have the largest land mass of any Western country, endless oil, massive natural resources, and yet somehow young Canadians can't afford [music] homes, groceries, or even hope for the future. That is not because Canadians are weak, it's because the leadership is weak. People look [music] south and see cheaper food, lower taxes, stronger wages, more opportunity, and then they look back at Canada and see a government obsessed with carbon [music] taxes. If your own citizens start believing they would live better under another flag, you failed as a country.
Canada should be competing with America, not surviving beside it. And conservatives need to understand it's about whether Canada remains a serious country because under the liberals >> [music] >> the 51st state joke stopped sounding like jokes. If you're tired of watching this country get weaker while politicians gaslight you how everything is fine, hit follow. I'm going to keep saying what millions of Canadians are already [music] thinking.
