See, on 24th May 2026, the tribal cultural gathering program was organized by Janjati Suraksha Manch and Jagriti Samiti inside the Red Fort Ground, New Delhi.
More than two and a half lakh people were present there.
Around 2800 people from Udaipur division participated in it and took part in this program with great enthusiasm. Very good arrangement, by paying their own fare of Rs. 1500 each by special train, all the workers with dedicated spirit organized this very good program for the tribal community whose security is under their reservation and other people are interfering in it.
In such a situation, everyone reached there as per their wish and the arrangements were also very good, the arrangements for food and drinks, children and water were very good. I reached there with great joy and organised the entire programme from 11:00 am in the morning till 6:00 pm in the evening. In which the country's successful Home Minister, respected Amit Shah, arrived. The National President of Tribal Vanvasari Kalyan Parishad and all his office bearers arrived. And under this, all the workers associated with it, be it MPs or MLAs, all the people who are concerned about it and are from the tribal society, were present. A very beautiful and good program was organized and all types of situations were seen, the program continued till 8, 9, 10 in the evening and at 10:00 and later at 11:00 everyone was present there.
After looking at the arrangements made by them, then 70 to 75 trains will bring them across the country through their own trains. He also reached there by some private vehicles and means. It was a very beautiful event. The rally was so huge that it started from three different places, concentrated at one place and then reached the Red Fort ground.
We also reached there. I myself also reached there. The local MLA's office of my area and the workers of the entire area, with the audience associated with them, reached there and a huge action was taken in which the reservation of these tribal brothers in the OBC list was mentioned, even after becoming Christian Mishri people, they are taking the benefit from the tribal community as well and due to the benefit being given to Christian Mishris as a minority, the tribal community which is basically in the minority is suffering a lot.
Regarding this matter, we had come here to present our memorandum and put forth our views. This is a very big thing, if it happens and the work is done as announced by Honorable Amit Shah Saheb, then it will help us a lot in running our traditional life smoothly, to save our tribal culture which is our origin and to save the Sanatan culture.
I have come here today, so I want to tell Ganesh Ram Ji Bhagat versus Satyendra Singh Ji that you have started the identity movement, the movement to unite the tribes and to protect the tribal culture.
This is the first tribal movement after the Ulag Gulan of Bhagwan Birsa Munda which unites the entire country.
Today, when you have come here from remote areas of the country in traditional attire, with your musical instruments and singing songs of your culture, I can definitely say that I have never seen Lord Birsa Munda in my life.
But today Lord Birsa Munda has appeared before me in person.
I salute all of you.
And this year is the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda.
And today all the descendants of Sidhu Kano Baba Tilka Manjhi, brave queen Rani Durgavati, martyr Veer Narayan Singh, people's leader Tantiya Bhil, Kumaram Bhil, Govind Guru and Queen Mother of Manipur and Nagaland are present here. I salute all of you.
Friends, I heartily welcome all my brothers and sisters from Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, Bhils and Mundas, Gonds, Kolams of Chhattisgarh, Santhals from Jharkhand, Osa, Uraons from the North East, Bodos, Karbis, Dimasas, Khasis, Garos, Chakmas and Chechus of Andhra Pradesh.
I accept this fact today also. When Ganesh Ram ji and Satyendra Singh ji came to invite me. There was some difficulty regarding this date.
I was thinking in my mind whether to go or not.
But today I have come here. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to both the organizations for giving me the opportunity to witness these wonderful scenes in my life.
Friends, the day we are meeting today is the year of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. Ulagh Gulan movement which worked to show the land to the British.
Despite there being no communication facilities at that time, the tribes from Jharkhand to Gujarat and across India felt that this is our country. Our religion is the true religion and no one can occupy our forests. This message was conveyed by Lord Birsa Munda.
This water, forest, hill, all these are the centre of faith for our forest dwelling brothers. It is also a means of livelihood. And also an impenetrable fort that protects their identity and culture. And today, if there is any biggest sustainable model in the world, it is the model created by our tribes and we have come forward to protect it.
All the tribes have worked to live up to the mantra of unity in diversity and diversity in unity without any written rules.
Brothers and sisters, I have come here to tell you that the makers of our Constitution have given every person the right to live with self-respect in his original religion.
No one should force anyone to convert their religion due to greed. And I believe that if the Vanvasi Kumbh that is here today is determined to go, whatever our religion is, the Vanvasis live their lives with many types of beliefs and worship nature with the same beliefs and this worship of nature connects us with Sanatan Dharma.
Today we have to take the pledge to protect our religion from this ground in Delhi.
And that will keep us connected with our culture and also with our country.
Those who want to create differences among us.
He doesn't know.
Thousands of years ago in Treta Yuga, Lord Rama, by eating the sour berries of Sabri, explained to us very well that we are all one. They do not know that when Nishad Raj provided a little help, Lord Shri Ram himself had honoured the forest dwellers by washing his feet with the water of Ganga Ji.
Respect the tribes.
Today's conference and the lakhs of tribes present there are a big message for those who are creating these differences.
Friends, today I also interact with many tribal people due to my ministry and my interest. Now a conspiracy has started that UCC will deprive the tribes of their culture, their traditions, their right to live by their traditions. Today, as the Home Minister of the Narendra Modi government, I want to make it clear from this platform that no restrictions of UCC will be imposed on the tribal community or the tribal people. There is no encroachment on forest dweller rights due to UCC.
In two states where Bharatiya Janata Party is in power. We have implemented UCC. The Narendra Modi government has kept all the tribes out of the UCC by making special provisions in Gujarat and Uttarakhand.
Narendra Modi government.
I want to tell those who are creating this discrimination that the traditions of any of our tribal brothers or tribes are not going to be tampered with by UCC.
And you should go to every village with this message.
Go to your areas, go to the mountains, go to the forests and make all the tribal communities aware that we do not need to be afraid of UCC.
Brothers and sisters, just now, under the leadership of Narendra Modi ji, the five-decade- old Naxal problem has been completely eradicated.
Today, in this tribal festival, in this Kumbh of tribes, I can proudly say that today our country has become completely free from the Naxal problem. And these people who were stopping the development of the tribal society, more than 40 tribal people were murdered, we are completely getting rid of that problem and at one time, where camps of our security forces were set up to fight the Naxalites. The Narendra Modi government converted 70 of those camps into Shaheed Veer Gundadhur Seva Dera Jan Samvidha Kendra. And now the time is beginning for development inside the mountain forests of tribal areas.
Friends, Bharatiya Janata Party believes in tribal welfare since the beginning.
Until Bharatiya Janata Party leader Atal ji became the Prime Minister. There was no Ministry of Tribal Welfare. Atal ji started the development of tribes by creating the Ministry of Tribal Welfare.
And see the results, Modi ji took it forward. Bengal elections have just taken place. Please clap louder.
Bharatiya Janata Party has won all 16 tribal reserved seats and Narendra Modi ji has in a way worked to promote tribal welfare.
Today, from this platform, I want to tell this tribal Mahakumbh that during the Congress era, the total budget for the welfare of the tribes was Rs 28,000 crore. Please tell me loudly, how much was it brother?
28,000 crores. Say it loudly, how much was it?
And the work done by Narendra Modi ji in increasing it to Rs 1 lakh 500 crore shows that we are a government dedicated to the welfare of the tribals. For 76 years after the independence of the country, no tribal person had ever occupied the highest post of the country, the post of President.
Narendra Modi ji made Draupadi Murmu ji, coming from a poor Santhal family, His Excellency Draupadi Murmu for the welfare of the entire tribal society.
Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh became tribal dominated states during the time of Atal ji and today we have a tribal Chief Minister in Odisha and also in Chhattisgarh.
This explains our policy. Brothers and sisters, just now our President was talking about the profession law. All I want to say is that the Government of India has created a money cell for profession law.
More than 1 lakh master trainers have been created. The rules and guidelines of the profession have been translated into many tribal languages like Santhali, Gondi, Dhili, Mundari etc. Our Bharatiya Janata Party government has done the work of creating the Pesha Gram Panchayat Vikas Yojana portal and monitoring it in real time.
And today I can say without hesitation that the model of profession law of Madhya Pradesh is an ideal model and all the governments of Bharatiya Janata Party are working to take it forward. Brothers and sisters, many big schemes for development, 722 Eklavya Model Schools, PM Jan Yojana for extremely backward and weak tribal groups, PM Jargar and along with this, every tribal family has been provided with a house to live in, electricity in the house, tap water, 5 kg free grain and food ration up to Rs 5 lakh per person per month, our leader Narendra Modi has done the work of providing this.
Friends, today this work of providing food ration worth up to Rs 5 lakh per person every month has been done by our leader Narendra Modi ji. Friends, this movement of yours today, this effort of yours, is the rebellion of this time. This movement will also save us in the coming days. It will also keep us connected to our earth. It will also keep us connected to our culture. It will also keep our religion united. And this movement is today working to lay a huge foundation to strengthen the entire country. Therefore, today I would like to praise both the organizations, Janjati Suraksha Manch and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, for their work in strengthening India through the movement.
Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad said, I come from Gujarat. I know that the Yagya of service has been continued in many remote areas like a mouth servant.
Taking inspiration from Thakkar Baba and along with Bala Saheb Desh Pandey ji, I established it in 1952 and you and I are blood of the same blood.
With this formula, a movement to strengthen the country was started. Today is the result of this.
I am seeing a huge Kumbh here under the aegis of both Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and Janjati Suraksha Manch and I have full faith that this Mahakumbh will do a great job in protecting our culture, our land, our religion. Let us avoid misconceptions, identify those who discriminate and move forward unitedly towards making India a developed and prosperous India in 2047. Once again, I thank all the organizers and please say loudly with me, Jai Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Jai Bharat Mata, Vande Mataram.
