Why Supply Management Drives Up Food Prices #shortsAdded:
I think the better type of policy, of course, is one that tries to reduce price increases. And uh and and and that could be done through encouraging more competition or getting rid of some of the silly things we do as a country that causes high consumer prices, such as supply management, which has led to eggs, poultry, and um and milk being uh charged a much higher price uh than than it should be. So, this is it's all crazy policy when you start looking at it. So, Well, Jack, on that note, you have just sealed your fate politically. You will never get elected in any political arena having said that you're against supply management [laughter] of dairy, milk, and eggs.
>> I'm not planning to run for any >> [laughter] >> uh political position. And so, I can talk about these things in the in a way that uh talks about good policy, not bad policy.
