That's the paintbrush plant. This actually a hemi-parasite attached to one of these root systems and it's actually pulling nutrients probably from one of these surrounding plants.
Very cool, very interesting plant here.
Think that those are uh I don't think they're flowers. I think they're like improvised leaves and the flowers are like inside.
