Bugfixes For Chaos Reign! - Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries
Added:Hi friends and welcome to the first patch notes for MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries Chaos Reign. PGI released a new patch today, so to everybody who's using mods, some of those mods might be broken again, unfortunately, but we do get a couple of update notes.
These are based on community feedback on issues supported by the community, and there will be fixes and improvements based on the player feedback.
Um so, yeah, guys, goes to show you if you support shoot support tickets towards PGI, show your feedback, and report some throughout the various community channels, it's going to reach the devs, and they are going to look into things.
First up, uh in terms of bug fixes, performance. That is something that we always like to hear. They fixed some memory leaks where scrolling through the inventory in the MechLab and in the Mech Bay uh Mech Place screens caused memory leaks, okay? And um memory usage in the front end was also fixed as well. Front end being the UI.
Gameplay-wise, they fixed torso twisting and arm locking issues in first-person control mode.
A controller issue, this is for you console errors, was fixed where you were unable to reverse when throttle decay was enabled.
There's also an issue fixed where aim assist doesn't function in career mode for ballistics or missile weapons.
Aim assist. Well, if you need it, feel free to use it. If you don't need it, don't use it.
Fixed an arena AI issue, aha, where sometimes enemies did not prioritize attacking the player or were idle until engaged.
What? Enemies not prioritizing attacking the player is an issue?
I mean, it depends on the mode, but I read this as in free-for-all, and no, in free-for-all, they should not prioritize attacking the player. That's stupid.
But, yeah, idle until engaged is something that we came across as well, so um that's one of the issues that was supposed to be fixed, um but apparently there's another one or maybe the same one that wasn't fixed completely.
We'll see if that is removed now.
Fix an issue where sometimes AMS remained active on destroyed mechs. Ah, yes, the classic. We've had that in MW as well, so yeah, that is fixed now.
Improved lance mate AI to reduce chances of getting stuck off the nav mesh.
I mean, I think I got lance mate AI stuck on the nav nav mesh or at least the lance mate AI combined with friendly additional lance. So, yeah.
Hopefully that means we will see less traffic jams. We had it in one map only, right?
Fix an issue where sometimes no pilots would appear in an industrial hub after loading.
Note that when loading a save before the patch will cause nearby previously visited systems to regenerate their markets and barracks. Okay.
Arrow four is now properly impacted by cantina upgrades.
Clan mechs no longer spawn in markets from locations with them in their roster before the clan invasion. So, no more shopping for clan mechs early. You got to wait until the clan invasion happens.
Fix an issue when accepting the high reward quest at dragon in sheep's clothing where the contract didn't appear on the star map. So, I wonder if we've done that quest or not. I'm going to look at that as well.
And then they adjusted the cockpit view audio of clan AMS while firing. Okay, so that should be hopefully not as insane anymore.
Mech database, there was an issue with the database completion not reflecting mech ownership from the imported pre-DLC eight saves.
They also fixed a bug where some longer mech names would get partially cut off when selected and typos, of course, the classics.
UI's, there is a crash that could occur in the mech lab, that's now fixed. Bug trade arrows now wrap around the total amount. Okay.
They fixed the had issue where the ECM icon overlapped enemies elements in the specific screen resolutions, okay?
Star map issue was fixed where clan factions were listed as operating markets when the owned a faction is hidden.
Uh they fixed an issue where Smoke Jaguar disappears from the star map after 3060.
Fixed faction ownership of various systems after 3057. So this is for you for you lore buffs out there. And they fixed an issue where sometimes new new stories would not appear on some saves.
I think we might have had that.
Mac wise the capital missile hardpoints now change based on equipped weapons.
All DLC eight hero mech upgrade slots have been increased from six to eight.
The Night Gyr Jade Kite hero mech now properly spawns in the markets.
Kodiak two jump jet effects have been fixed. Annihilator hit box along the neck area has been adjusted. Does this mean made bigger or smaller?
Fixed the appearance of ballistic weapons on the Annihilator ANH-IR.
They fixed the clipping right torso laser on the King Crab 001.
The absence geo fixed on the Gladiator Bravo.
And the Dire Wolf Bravo now properly shows the Gauss Rifle when equipped to the medium ballistic hardpoint.
Weapons wise they fixed the Clan Sphere Arrow IV half ammo tonnage.
Arrow IV ammo is now introduced at the same time as the Arrow IV weapon.
And the Auto Cannon V rapid fire cool down is now reduced from 0.5 to 0.375 seconds or basically a reduction of what is it?
25%?
So yeah, there you have it. Those are the patch notes.
I really hope that not too many of the mods broke because I want to start on our co-op play through with mods as soon as possible. And so yeah, I'm hoping that this first patch will not have broken too many and then we're going to go ahead and have a look further into the game because as you guys know, modded is where this game really shines, especially when playing it with friends.
