Daily Tongue Twister: voiceless versus voiced “th”

Added:
206 views0likes24KalynsEnglishOriginal Release: 2026-05-19

English learners often confuse the voiceless TH sound /θ/ (as in 'three', 'thin', 'thought') with the voiced TH sound /ð/ (as in 'this', 'theirs'). Both sounds require the tongue to come lightly between the teeth with air flowing gently forward, but the voiceless TH has no vocal cord vibration while the voiced TH does. Practice slowly first, then increase speed while keeping the TH sound clear and natural.
