Oh Lord, your gospel is like nectar and bliss soured upon the painstricken lives of hum suffering humanity.
It dispels all the sins and misdeeds of life. It brings spiritual welfare in life. Spiritual prosperity, beauty and grace flow through those who listen to your holy message.
They truly are generous who are who preach and pronounce the nectar of your message with suffering humanity.
Oh peace, peace, peace.
So we are back to the reading of the gospel of Sri Ramakrishna page 153.
S Ramak Krishna was with the Braho devotees and Ramaku Krishna last time was singing the song with deep fervor.
Do you dive deep in the sweetness of God's bliss? What need have we of his infinite creation and unlimited glory?
What need have we of his infinite creation? So what is the need of glorifying him? Rather the last reading we read that we have to plunge into the sweetness of the love of God. That is the purpose of life.
Ramakrishna said that you come to the mangro go grow eat mango the sweet mango.
What's the use of counting? Oh, who planted this mango tree? Where from it came? How many days it took to become a seed to plant and plant to the tree and when it flowered past when it come to the fruit pass. So we would do like that even those who don't think of God the first come all these calculations continues to all analyzing and only finding the exterior of spirituality but Sakrina has come to just make it dive into the depth this of course it is very important when we discuss spiritual uh this truth in our to understand intellectual Actually that's a great benefit is there because all the doubts and confusions intellectual doubts and confusions should be gone first and then experience will be convincing and when that experience comes then you can tally with what the books have told.
So this is the purpose of reading the scriptures. Purpose is to just to know that I'm in the right track.
The experience what the prince and sages have experienced and then what you are getting whether it tallies with them. If it is not then it will hallucination and there is most importantly there is a mis possibility of mistaking some play of the mind as experience. Of course all experience happens in the mind clouded mind or pure mind. When it becomes purer and purer we call that is close to revelation.
And when it is not that pure then that experience may create confusion and that's why it is said in the doubt all doubts after experience many people say is it the what do you think is it the experience because that is there is doubt and doubt goes away only says When one the direct vision of that that supreme reality the spin when he sees face to face then only doubt can go otherwise as much as we go our mind still functions and mind will always brings distortion and and when it's perfectly pure you don't call it mind. Ramachrishna said that pure mind is pure atman. You are saying I mind but there is no mind anymore. Mind means when it cannot decide or assertain what the truth but when it is understood this way that it is mine is experiences uncert you will not be frightened with that because you are convinced you have You'll feel in every pore of your life body that thrill of infinite joy. How can you deny that? That's why also says by that which is experience is done experiences everything. How can you deny that? If it is your own experience and you feel the effect of that experience that you are blissful, you are totally beyond gone to the time space coition limit and you are in that absolute state. Afterwards when you come back you can become abnormal. You become supernormal.
You become supernormal. Brahma Ganis those who live in the world they are very intelligent very sharp very everything they live in the world and they with a full of joy and blessings because they see their sparkling joy everywhere what is inside so that emphasizes therefore dive deep and he sang the song on page 153 dive deep oh my mind dive deep in the ocean of God's beauty uh if you descend to the uttermost depths there you will find a gem of love that is the point that infinite love unconditional love absolute love God's another name is love because it is all fullness it is all fulfilling therefore where to find the song said go seek Oh my mind. Dive deep into your heart. Find a Bindavan there in your heart. That's that is the real Bindaban.
Outside Bindavan. If you go so much hassle is there. Get an air ticket. Get a name visa and then after visa air ticket and then go and then this who will take you where will you stay? Who will guide you? Who will cheat you? And then you go to the temple they will allow you to enter or don't allow you to enter even if they allow it is closed and when you went there so all this hassle but in the vindan of the heart uh you just go now and you be see the lord there and be in love with him. So that is the go seek oh my go seek bindavan in your heart where the his loving devotees see Krishna sports eternally and he is dancing and singing here in your heart not in the physical bindon physical bindon if you go you don't see Krishna dancing and singing you have to imagine yeah he Krishna danced here sang here but again you go back to your heart when you go to pilgrimage also you think oh here is the place that is this part Krishna did this Krishna did that or Ramakrishna did this Ramakrishna sat here raishna walked here talked here all these descriptions are again you have to imagine that because I I don't I have no that purity of my mind that I can see with the eyes open then also you have to bring this imagination or your to create a mood in your mind to feel the presence of that.
But sitting in your own room in Hollywood, you can be in Bind >> and Bindon. You may be in Hollywood. You are here.

All your vision experience is you know mental. Yeah. It does not happen outside. If outside if it happens like that we all will have seen because our mind is not tuned to that. Uh as I give the gross example to see a particular channel you have to tune the channel. You know whether you want 20 number 20 or 50 channel number 50 you have to click 50 and so that it clicks together then that will be that realm the mind also can help click to bring or click to any holy place it is to be tuned to that but that's why it helps external thing helps anyhow so that song was sir you know certainly certainly sang that song and we read that song the other day.
So light up oh mine light up true wisdom shining lamp lit up light up and let it burn with steady flame unceasingly within your heart.
That means uh seek Krishna in the bindavan of your heart and you will light up.
Oh my mind, light up the true wisdom.
And with that lamp, you see the shining presence of the Lord.
And he who is the who is it that steers your boat across the solid earth. It is your guru says Kumir. Meditate on his holy feet. So think of God, think of your guru etc. And dive deep. Sri Ram Krishna continued it is also true that after the vision of God the devotees desires to witness his leela after the destruction of Rahabana at the Rama's hand Nikosha who is Rahana's mother began to run away for fear of her life then Lakmanu said to Rama dear brother please explain this strange thing To me, this Nikosha is an old woman who has suffered a great deal from the loss of her many sons and yet she's so afraid of losing her own life that she's taking to her heels.

this Ramayana story that when Rahana was killed so Rahana's mother mother who lost all other children and relatives still she was afraid and running away so brother Luxman thought she's running running away out of his her life to not to die out of fear of death. But no, she was a devotey of Rama. He said he knows Rama is God himself. All his leela is going on. So she wants to see more of God's leela. And that's a very different high level of spiritual personality who is born with Rama and playing the leela divine play as Raana's mother and all this.
So says that this is the true vision and the devotey desire. He witnessed Leela. Leela Leela it is a very good spiritual practice also Leela Leela meditation on this leela we are reading this and this can be meditated upon. Then he say Leela. means divine sporty. You are not thinking of the absolute truth.
Three types of dan is there meditation.
One meditation nonual not this not that not this not it is only that all perverted consciousness all perfected light if all this oh is the mantra and they chant like that and think of that that's the absolute truth ultimate truth and as we do We do rupam. Rup means the divine form. Divine form of devrishna.
Rama we see try to visualize and this a form of divine. It is rupa and name and form. Name is the name of Rama and Rama's form. Rama Krishna Ramak Krishna's form. So name and form.
And you meditate on the rupa the form the pure form of the divine and also connected with the name divine is the form form the name as it happens name and form goes together.
So and another is the leela. When mind our our mind rebels in doing it can be engaged to leela.
You can take mind. Okay. Let me my mind let my mind go to do and you can walk with him.
You can sing with him. You can dance with him. You can feel his presence mentally. That means you are such a visualizer that you are thinking of the living movement of the And actually him the writer of this gospel he did it like that. That's the way he wrote this book.
It is not writing from the diary out of some quick note to develop. It is he used to meditate on that particular day again and exactly visualize what happened one after another and he has incredible memory.
So it is good if we can practice like that to at least we cannot do meditation of the rup but you can do of the So he said that is good and it can be done and then is easier because mind gets involved into it. Mind mind going to sleep. Mind try to run away but give mind some food like the guided meditation. Many times guided meditation is helpful because when someone guides the words our mind follows that type of direction and then that keeps the mind away from other distraction.
So meditation is also this is a wonderful way of meditation. Many people Krishna whole life they live on Krishna's divine play thinking of his childhood plays with the gopies with the with the coward boys with so many miraculous things happened and child Krishna played and killed the demons all the stories to to keep the mind engaged in this type of thinking to Sibnath. Raakin says, "I like to see you. How can I leave unless I see pure soul devotees? I feel as if they had been friends in former incarnations."
This is true. And Ramakrishna used to like holy holy people.
He used to say that I cannot listen or bear the association of people who are too much worldly.
Worldly people talking day and night of the worldly things money wealth and all mundane things politics this that day and night their mind gets polluted in that could not tolerate that that's why he used to say oh shnath brahul leader he a brahul leader shnath so he said you are a pure soul so I want to talk to you huh Why don't you come?
How come I leave unless I I like to see you again? That's the point. Come again.
Come again. We can see and talk. And Ramakrishna used to cry you know on the top of the kyibari that music that old house where Ramakrishna lived for a long time and he used to cry on the roof going onto the come come oh pure souls because I am tired of hearing all mundane talks from the worldly minded people talking of day and night money and wealth because it's that Actually that is necessary for survival but people too much engrossed into it forget the spirit of life's main purpose is forgotten and also unless mind is pure mind does not go to mind is engaged in anything in the world where our weakness is there that mind rotates in that thought that's why rotates in fear Mind rotates in anxieties. Mind rotates in something. But mind does not rotate in God. Why not? That's why it is said make the mind your toothache.
God your toothach.
If it is toothache, you need not have to remind. No one needs hey are you reminding of your toothache. Toothach will remind you all the time that there is a pain.
So God make God like that. I have not realized him. I have not seen him yet.
So that pain that separation that feeling of non achievement of the goal of life still I am in the world and I am not getting the touch of that infinite joy yet. So that type of yearning is the source of spiritual life and also to keep association.
So step it says that you have holy association if you get it that's good.
So three stages they're talking about.
If you get a good association that is good have that good association. If not then just be silent to yourself.
There is no one no friend of mine. I'm alone.
And that's why yogis they become alone for going away from the hum of life and they go into a cave and seated you know why unless you have to talk what to talk about in the world anything we talk is mundane today is serious tomorrow is gone tomorrow seriousness is third day is meaningless so every day it is changing and we are so seriously devoting our valuable time in that if you want talk what is meaningful purposeful as Buddha said no so be uh speech right speech talk right what is right right speech that is beneficial for your spiritual growth mental growth and good for others and good for yourself but we talk mundane talks Tons of talk we whole day if we record our what we said it every day we'll see that many things are worthless it is no more necessary but we engage ourselves in that so that's why if you get sat holy association that's good do that in the whole gospel has glorified so much. Holy association.
Holy association.
Holy association is like he says that uh one type of remover of addiction.
There is a belief that Ramakrin said chal dhan is all chal means rice dwa means washing when you wash the rice the water comes out a little what whitish whitish color something comes out it says that is a belief I do not know in India those days those those who are drunk heavily drunk to reduce the drinking effect they put some that water.
So Ramagrino saw that in those context probably people used to use those as to remove the intoxication.
So Sina said holy company it's like chalani jol that's that water which is reduces the intoxication. What is the intoxication? Worldliness, intoxication of worldliness and it is sad and so much glorification of sadhu holy association that dash really is it must have to have it effect not even now but it will happen and says such Sasua it will be it impact will happen in your life now and other is like a cobra if a cobra biteshog gave the example if the cobra bites a a frog dies with three croing so that means it will That means the worldliness will die.
Holy company is so important. Even holy company actually changed many lives.
Holy people very rare to get that holy company.
And if one gets a holy company, he has really is fortunate. He has got the the doorway to spiritual realization is open by by by chance it comes. He may not understand it's a holy company but it will impact his life and then we have our when feast happens in the among the monastics get a good feast in India sudden days some devotees give some some money and said oh How many sadhus are there? We'll feed them sumptuously. So they bring mango, sweets and all these things. No sadus. And then there is sometimes some sadhus will speak out some self-composed verses or something or some sanskrit chant. Some will chant Bhagat Gita like that. So one sadhu our old sadhu was there. He used to say this few lines in every spiritual text. The glory of sad has been spoken.
If one gets a holy company, it will help cross him. The ocean of this impact and power of sadhu.
So disassociate with bad association.
Bad association is what? Which takes our mind to the mundane things unnecessarily.
Don't think your duties are there.
Duties are duties. You have to do your duties. But to how to remember God that is sad. And who reminds you of God?
That is the sadhu. And sadhu of course means spiritual text are also sadhu.
You can be anywhere. You take one verse of the you can live in that holy company and you may be very cheerful and joyful in that spirit because it reminds you of God. So sad is the very important has a important role in our spiritual life.
Some say that uh who who was that Narada Sadhu Narada's life story is there. Naru was born in a very poor family with the Naradus but he got sad. used to serve the sadhus in the childhood. No and with that with the their service their blessings make him the sage nar who we read is s greatishi sadu shang that made serving the sadhus they get that raish himself he was in kamarukur when he was a small boy the sadhus used to come from all over India to get deep in the Bay of Bengal to have a deep in the coldest period of the year and then they used to come and kamar pukuru is on the walking people used to walk that those days from not much transportation were there and they also no have money no money so walking was there sal so they used to stop here And there went after several miles of journey and there are some inn some small hearts ordinary test theft roof mouse so they're open sus will come stay one night two nights and then do meditate pray and villagers will bring some food or something that's the way and they move another place another place so birthplace Kamarukur there was one such sadhu place to halt and sang you know is a small boy.
Normally the children are afraid of the sadus because their body is big and their something matted locks in the hair and rdra like that not like Ram Krishna mission or the society sad polished and this and that. So all these children will run away out of fear. But sirin was so happy to see them. He will could come with a to serve them. They will bring some little water pot and there is water pot. He will go and pitch the water for them and give them and sometimes bring some firewood here and there. and sadus used to love him and he used to speak in Hindi. The sadhus used to they come mostly from north India and other parts of India central part of India all sadus. So but rau was very great memory whatever he can memorize that so that is the way he hard many things he didn't read any many books but from the mouth of the sadhus and so >> they would put on him and then like dress like and then one day raishna got his Father gave gave him a nice cloth and to wear and and he went to the sadus and sadus seeing their copinam and dress lion cloth and others. He got inspired and the sadhus tore that cloth and make the sunnasi monks coin and lion cloth etc. And he came back and showed mother I have become a monk. See look how am I.
So and that sang you know talks about that holy company. So yeah I'm saying that even those people they like likeness for the holy people.
Ramachrishna in his childhood should be normally the children should be afraid. We used to see that some sadus comes my big guy and almost looking and with the matted locks so big matted locks sometime and some are with nails big nails a people so barefooted but there and we beard and everything is unusual for us children to see like that but but those who are really spiritual people they used to very friendly with them and sadhus used to love them very much. So it is that is the point of sadhu shang and many of our sadhus say that it is our we have become monk because of the sadhus sadhus touch sadhus look sadhus association so brahod devotey says sir do you believe in the incarnation of the soul reincarnation of the soul The old question Ramachrishna said yes they say there is something like that.
How can we understand the ways of God through our small intellects?
Many people have spoken about reincarnation.
Therefore I cannot disbelieve it.
As Vishma lay dying on his bed of arrows the Pandabu brothers and Krishna stood around him. They saw tears flowing from the eyes of the great hero. Orjuna said to Krishna, "Friend, how surprising it is even such a man as our grand shishma, truthful, self-restrained, supremely wise and one of the eight basus weeps through Maya at the hour of death."
Sir Sri Krishna asked Bishma about it. Then Bishma replied, "Oh Krishna, you know very well that this is not the cause of my grief. I am thinking that there is no end to this pandas sufferings. The god himself is their charioteer."
Krishna was the charioteer of Porjuna's chariot. No, that's why he's saying Lord Krishna was with him. But what a pathetic situation. Even God with God all the time, but they have no lack of uh relief. They have no they have been not released from the sufferings of life. We think that if you think of God no there will be no disease for me. Many people have misconception about spirituality.
I'm thinking of God. Why something happened to me?
So it is as if I'm thinking of God nothing will happen in the material world. This this this is not true. That's why Vishma was crying and weeping seeing the pandi five brothers and their mother and dupi they suffered so much pain so much isolation say beggars they roam around in the world incognito so all the sufferings went because Lord Krishna was with him but still they had to suffer so much so that was the question They feel suffering or they have troubles because normally >> uh you can you can make a fine distinction troubles but troubles also make them suffer. No so long you are in a mind body mind suffering is suffering.
No but yes they are very high soul they may have trouble and face those trouble but my point is that trouble does not go away even you are with holy people even you are with god no so he says that the tears of bisma is because of not that very well that I'm thinking that there is no end to the pandas suffering to God himself in in their chariot. A thought like this makes me feel that I have understood nothing of the ways of God and so I weep. That was the response. So the point is that reincarnation is there or not. And he didn't respond to that question. Now he said that how can you understand the ways of God?
How God works? Why he does all these things and why suffering comes? Why misery comes? Why we have to go through this process of purification? Uh why this ignorance? Why there is no proper response? I don't find any response for reply for that.
It was about half 8 when the evening worship began in the prayer hall.
Soon the moon rose in the autumn sky and flooded the trees and creepers of the garden with its light. After prayer the devotees began to sing. Sri Ramakrishna was dancing intoxicated with love of God. The brahod devotees danced around him to the accompaniment of the drums and symbols.
All appeared to be in a very joyous mood. The place echoed and re-echored with God's holy name.
When the music has stopped, Siram prostrated himself on the ground and making salutations to the divine mother again and again said Bhagavat Bhto.
My salutation to the Ganis. My salutation at the feet of the bhaktas.
I salute the bhtas who believe in God with form. I salute the baktas who believe in God without form. I salute the know of Brahman of olden times and my salutations to the feet of the modern nos of Brahman of Brahosamas.
Then the master and the devotees enjoyed a supper of delicious dishes which Benimadu the gentleman who invited as their host had provided.
But see that it ended so well. You know after so much of discussion it became late night and then discussion ended and then Ramagrishna started singing.
This is the spiritual person. They sing, dance and talk all God talking about God. And when they sing, sing some devotional music.
with him. So they mood of joy.
We dance we dance out of dancing and and this Ramagishna dance because of the spiritual emotion of search of emotion.
Two are different.
When uh earlier dancing was a very big thing for the Iscon people and in India also we saw bushnav dancing.
The dancing is how much spiritual person how much high you can jump and this jumping are all competition but raishna dancing su dancing the spiritual mood is so high that makes force them to dance that's why dancing is good better to get intoxicated is more better so Intoxication diving deep that is when he said here is what conclusion is beautiful. So intoxicated with love of God the Brahma devotees also dancing around him and they accompanied by symbols and drums and in a joyous mood and when the music stopped that's the point he's saluting Ramakrishna is prostrating prostrating my salutation to the feet of the ganies no he's the humbler humble humble of the humblest He's saying I salute all the Ganisto at Brahman. I salute them all. And then my salutation at the feet of the Gan is my salutation at the all the bhas who talk about God, those who love God, I salute at their feet.
God, Lord of the universe is saluting everyone.
And how we become egotistic with our knowledge, with our devotion, with our little practice or little whatever. So that is the see that he's saluting to all. That means wherever there is any love for God or yearning for God expressed to knowledge to devotion or to any other aspect he's actually saluting respecting that and that is we are to take that spirit you be a var God purpose of being tuned to god consciousness and then he says I salute the bakus who believe in god God with form and who does not believe in God in form. So both there is no rejection for anyone because they knowingly or unknowingly all are calling upon one God.
That is the Krishna's harmony. How simply manifested without philosophizing or making a big argumentative expression why I am saluting why this I am thinking my way that is saluting to all the devotees all the sincere seekers is appreciating that saluting does not mean only touching the feet of the people but no the spirit of devotion I salute that the Spirit of go ghana knowledge. I salute that the spirit of those who love God in the formless aspect who love God in the with the form then love the ancient yogis or ancient rishi shares of truth and modern modern brahoganis that means this movement this movement of brahmo movement that centered on Brahman.
So he's saying that the no of the olden times in the vic times the names of the olden brahoganis were there I salute them that spirit I salute and the modern amongst you people who are now thousands of people brahmbos that spirit your love for that brahman I salute that that means he's welcoming and inspiring everyone to be more deep in the spiritual practice and that spirit is important.
So that ends the reading of that last uh page. So many pages we are reading for a long time with the brah some brahu devotees.

Ramak Krishna accompanied by Rakhal and several other devotees came to Kolkata in a carriage and called for him at the school where he was teaching.
They all sat.
Then they all set out for the maidam.
Sri Ramakrishna wanted to see the Wilson circus.
He has fun.
So he's taking all the him the master the writer of the gospel and um Raal Rakal is there. So they all in going in a carriage from Dshineshaar to see the circus Wilson circus. As the carriage rolled along the crowded Chitpur road, his joy was very great. Like a child, he leaned first out of one side of the carriage and then out of the other talking to himself as if addressing the passers by. 2:00 a.m. He said, "I find the attention of the people fixed on the earthly things. They are all rushing about the sake of their stomachs. No one think of God." But he was looking outside putting her face outside the window and this side and that side and looking at the people and he remarking these people I saw their mind is all fixed in the mundane things that mean stomach means money and wealth eating sleeping and dying that type of so remark is beautiful so many people that their attention fixed on the earthly things. They're all rushing about for the sake of their stomachs. They arrived at the circus.
Tickets for the cheapest seats were purchased. The devotees took the master to a high gallery and they all sat on a bench. So, two types of tickets for Ramakrishno. They gave a good place and they themselves sat in ordinary uh chairs.
He said joyfully. Rau said joyfully, "Ha, this is a good place. I can see the show well from here like a child." He's a very happy guy.
There were exhibitions of various fits.
A horse raced around a circle circular track over which a large iron ring were hung at in intervals. The circus rider an English woman stood on one feet on the horse's back and as the horse passed under the rings she jumped to them always alllighting on one foot on the horse's back. The horse raced around the entire circle and the woman never missed the horse or lost her balance. Actually these are great acrobat. No, how they could do a running horse standing on that running horse in single one leg and there is a ring horse ran under that and she jumped in the speed and put her leg again on the horse back. It's a matter of joke.
So S you know naturally was very excited to see all this and then he said when the circus was over the master and the deputy stood outside in the field near the carriage since it was a cold night he covered his body with his green shawl. Ramagrino said to him, "Did you see how the English woman stood on one foot on the horse while it ran like lightning? How difficult a fit that must be. She must have practiced a long time.
The slightest carelessness and should break her arms and legs. She might even be killed."
one faces the same difficulty leading the life of householder. A few succeed in it through the grace of God and as a result of their spiritual practice but most people fail entering the world they become more and more involved in it. They drown in worldliness and suffer the agonies of death.
A few only like Janaka have succeeded through the power of their austerity in leading the spiritual life as householders. Therefore, spiritual practice is extremely necessary otherwise why one cannot rightly live in the world. But now you see the end result of seeing the circus is love God.
They went to went for for some fun but what what teaching is that practice how she practiced focus went into the that's the mind becomes pure satan it turns to that angle we could have described different things different many other shows and this extraordinariness and this and whole night would have gone that way but he just came out of the circus and then as before entering into carriage he started turning the whole episode into spiritual life practice how much she has practiced if a wrong step little inadver in advertence really she will fall down with high speed and break her arms that's really very very true but how much she has practiced then why not you practice for spiritual discipline and he's saying in the world when you live in the household We are all householders. No, we live in the house.
We are all householders.
